✓ Very BasicI just paid $14.99 to upgrade, as the vocabulary was too limited and immediately a pop up appeared asking me to pay another $8.00 to upgrade again. (Annoying.) And I've just tried looking up several words very few of them are in the extended version I forked out for. Now I have to buy the Oxford Paravia one. ✓ Missing the moods (imperative etc.). Some entries lack detail. Not all verbs are conjugated.Lack detailed explanations and/or examples. Not all verbs list their conjugations quite a few Italian dictionary apps before purchasing this one. I wanted one for grammar (including verb conjugations etc) as well as translation. The translations offered are generally quite good, although there is some variability in detail. Most are quite comprehensive, but some have only very basic info. Most verbs have their conjugations, but some don’t. In these instances, or where you want a conjugation that the app does not provide, it’s easy to tap on the links to Wiktionary or WordReference etc to access missing detail. Some verb conjugations (eg Imperative) are not in the standard conjugations list (it would be really great if they had them all), but again, the external links allow fairly easy access to other more comprehensive info online. The spoken word lookup works well most of the time. It’s quite good at picking up the word you’ve said, though occasionally it infuriatingly keeps getting it wrong. Perhaps my pronunciation is not good! It’s missing some of the detail you’d find in a printed dictionary (eg identifying a verb as transitive or intransitive, or including the phonetic spelling) but as a reasonably comprehensive dictionary with most verb conjugations, it’s about the best you’ll get..Blakey!Version: 7.3.12

✓ Italian dictionaryI would have given this App 5 star rating BUT I am constantly losing the text to speech aspect, in fact, I have only had it working once. I have deinstalled and reinstalled and done all that was suggested but still silence. ✓ A messThe free version convinced me to buy this, but unbelievably the paid version actually has LESS features! There is an entire section dedicated to conjugating verbs, but no way to find the translated equivalent or even the untranslated version if you don't know the proper verb name. For example, if you try to look up 'ho' ('i have') there is NO WAY to find out what it means! This app seems to have the data to one day be useful, but the user experience is atrocious - I would honestly believe that no one who is not already competent in both languages has ever used it. The full version hype in the advert does not deliver, I expected for the price to get Audio Translations or at least phonetically written ones of the Italian words, but got neither.
