✓ Poor sketchingGreat idea, except for one big shortcoming. The finger drawn portion only reads the position of your finger every quarter second or so, making for very unnatural sketches. Up it to 10 Hz or so and it would be great. Please fix!.Version: 0

✓ I don't like software that beats me up for not registgeringI am playing with the lite version. I understand the limitation that I can only create two notes. So, I created anote an emailed to a friend. He asked me what that watermark was on my picture telling HIM to upgrade and why HE had to pay 2.99 to read my email. This is because this company is not satisified with just limitng functionality, they have to tell everyone that I am using the lite version. Crippleware is one thing, advertiseware is something different and you have lost a customer for life. Goodbye..Version: 0

✓ Lots of features but needs a little moreI've been using this app primarily to draw on photos. It has good basic editing tools. You can change line thicknesses and color. And you can erase. It would be nice if you could change line styles and if the eraser could be a little bit more refined and accurate. I also find myself wishing that I could sort the tabs manually. Sometimes when I assign multiple tags then try to eliminate one the app crashes..Version: 3.1.2

✓ Asian language text problemsI really wanted to like this app; the feature set is pretty good, but there is a problem with Asian language text (Chinese or Japanese) on a note. You can enter the text in the note fine but any the Asian language text simply disappears when the note is e-mailed as a pdf, while other text (even in Greek, Cyrillic, and Hebrew alphabets) remains. If the note is e-mailed as a picture, the Asian language text appears, but then you cannot copy and paste it. I see that no specifically Chinese/Japanese fonts are options in the app, but this should not be an obstacle, given that in Apple's Notes, you normally have *no* choice of font, but it still understands when you are inputting Chinese and switches automatically to an appropriate font. Similarly, NoteMaster has no problem with Chinese/Japanese even with the same font (Helvetica) chosen as I had in Mental Note, and AwesomeNote also handles Chinese/Japanese with the default font setting. Maybe the difference is these other apps all export text as text, not as a pdf. But the inability to export text by e-mail is my other main objection to MentalNote. If the language support doesn't matter to you and your focus is more one audio and images, rather than text, then this is a nice app. It would be better, though, if there were one universal app, rather than separate iPad and iPhone apps..Version: 0

✓ Beware if deleting a section ...Ther are some obvious flaws (I found after playing with this app for about two minutes). The worst: If you hit the trash can intending to delete just a section, but, by accident (say because someone nudges you on the tube/bus/what-have-you) you then hit Delete Note, without warning your entire note is deleted and with it possibly hours of lecture note and recordings, photographs and drawings. Please developers either move the Delete Section feature to some palce else or add a confirm dialogue before deleting a note. A show stopper for me -- I'm bound to hit the wrong key at some point. Lacks shake to undo. One wrong line when drawing then it's live with it, or delete the lot and start again. There are a few other design flaws too but I won't mention here. Nice idea though (I wish EverNote would support some of these features); however this app needs more thought before it becomes a contender..Version: 0
