✓ Revised review...After a few months of listening, and with the recent update, I am upping my review to 5 stars. Yes, the podcast is free on iTunes, but the convenience of having the entire series within an app is very much worth the price. The "starred episodes" feature makes it very easy to keep track of where you are in the series. And I love being able to download for offline listening from within the app. I just hope that a portion of the sales go to support this excellent podcast..Version: 0
✓ Brilliant educational appWorth the money. Even though you can download the podcasts for free, it's still worth paying for a lesson in Roman history. Well read and very interesting, this is a must have for anyone slightly interested in ancient Rome. The interface is very accessible, and the podcasts themselves are informative without being too technical or over simplified..Version: 0

✗ The History of Rome -Audio Podcast AppDo not buy this App - because the first 39 episodes are missing. The App starts at episode 40 and runs through to episode 79. All the episodes are available to listen to on the web -although i have not found a way of transferring the missing 39 onto my ipod yet. I contacted the supplier of the App and they simply said "thats the way it is"..Version: 0
✗ Good podcast but...I'm a huge THoR fan, but there are two problems with this app: (1) It can be slow sometimes and takes alot of time (sometimes minutes) to buffer when you try to rewind 30 secods or even in the middle of the episode. (2) It's a huge data hog. I listened to an episode 3 times and it cost me 350 meg of data transfer, which took me over my 200 meg limit :( The lesson here for everyone is to make sure you're using wireless when you listen to the episodes with this app. Alternatively, you simply use the old-fashioned method of downloading the episode frim iTunes or the blog. I would normally give it 2 stars, but because the quality of the THoR podcast itself I'm giving it an extra star..Version: 0
