✓ Requested suggestions for new features / changesI would like to see the inclusion of planets as per the exoplanet app and also to dynamically change viewing position within galaxy as per exoplanet app. Star Walk news button with astronomical news would good as would a button to general education type of articles about the history, current practice and future of astronomy including use for navigation past and present perhaps by linking to online articles such as wikipedia or preferably custom written and included with the app. Including biographies of important historical astronomers and their contributions would be informative and the inclusion of examples of "day in the life of type stories" (or is that night in the life of) about selected existing professional astronomers would be interesting. A guide to using Star Walk with Apple iDevice mounted to a telescope (directly inline or offset) would help helpful. These are just some amateur suggestions, however i guess that professional astronomers may be able to provide app suggestions or assistance if contacted.Version: 6.1.1

There are similar apps, but this one seems to have it all: music, an option so that your night vision isn't disrupted, beautiful graphics, links to the internet built in and a UI worthy of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. One tiny bug, that others have mentioned, is that the live rotation is temperamental. This can be overcome by shaking the iPad. (Perhaps it's meant to be like that -- once you're looking at a particular patch of the night sky you may not want the images to scroll. This feature either needs fixing or a clearer explanation.) Anyway, it's almost certainly an application that Douglas Adams would love, and one worthy of the iPad..Version: 0

I love star gazing - sometimes with a telescope, which star walk is a help with aligning it, sometimes just with my eyes, with which star walk helps me get orientated when I'm in an unfamiliar place and I've lost track of where we are season wise. As you rotate the iPad the view changes to match. You can even zoom in and find the names of individual stars.
