Newsweek Pros
✓ What happenedI have had Newsweek functioning electronically since it stopped the print edition the first time. I suddenly wasn’t able to get any downloads, it couldn’t find the server. Support said to get the new app and try again. I did. I agree with Tomlo 222 who’s review I just read. The new app doesn’t work, it’s very slow, it loads every page. Not the kind of update I would expect and not the functionality that would keep me reading Newsweek after more than 30 years as a subscriber.Version: 6.0
✓ Importance of Newsweek in 2022Generally the news moves in waves. When the Ukraine invasion occurred, I relied on several sources for updates. As other events pushed input from the war into the background, I found Newsweek a quality source of ongoing vital news regarding that conflict that is reshaping our world..Version: 7.0.0
✓ Newsweek Positive ReviewsNewsweek Cons
✗ Horrible!!!!Do not subscribe to Newsweek! I paid for a full year of the print version, which is gone, and then followed the messy instructions to access the app version. I was able to download one (old) magazine, which crashed three times. When I try to read the latest edition it is prompting me to " buy" or " subscribe." Unlike other magazine apps, there is no contact or support to help. I subscribe to twelve other magazine apps and this is the only one that doesn't work. When you see the high quality of other apps that cost the same, or even less, it is inexcusable to put out such garbage. I agree with another reviewer who commented that the app version should have been perfected before the print version stopped. Does anyone know how to get a refund? I get Time for free at work so I guess I'll just read that instead. Too bad because I've subscribed to Newsweek for years..Version: 3.0.18
✗ Doesn't WorkThis app is an extreme disappointment. I have a valid subscriptions been unable to download the magazine for several weeks due to "authorization" errors despite the fact that it says my iTUnes subscritpions is active. This happens frequently. Avoid this app..Version: 4.0.1
