SuperbNewsweek app keeps you alert about everything around you. A must to be well informed 👍.Version: 5.2

This may save print journalism!YES! I am thrilled Newsweek developed this App, and that they were smart enough to recognize that for digital to be successful the pricing model must change, something Time and the WSJ don't get. I hope they offer a yearly subscription format soon. I will be first in line. And for that, the price could match the print edition cost. That would be fair. Till then, I will purchase every issue for the fair price of 3 bucks. Great job, Newsweek!.Version: 0

Finally a magazine you can subscribe to!Of all the news and magazine apps out there this one finds a great balance between the frequent updating of a website and the editorial flow of a magazine. You can customize the homepage. Which is updated as frequently as the website The galleries look awesome. And I can finally buy a subscription to the digital edition. Five things that I think could be improved: - Video, Newsweek has great video and they completely ignore it in all their mobile apps. - Push notifications for when a new magazine issue is available for download would be very useful. - a save for later feature - a more interactive magazine experience like wired or esquire. - a way for me to use my print subscription for digital copies This update is leaps and bounds ahead of v1. I'm glad Newsweek finally decided to take their tablet app more seriously..Version: 0

Everybody needs to reset their passwordTo everybody who is saying that the latest update leaves them unable to sign in and access more issues, you need to check your email. A few days ago, there was an email from Newsweek with "The Refreshed Newsweek is Here" in the subject line. Part of the email reads "...in order to make this enhanced, multi-platform experience possible, we have to change the way we deliver Newsweek to you. And that means we need you to create a new password so that the new system recognizes you as an active subscriber (to protect your privacy, we cannot change your password for you)." I hope this helps some people!.Version: 3.0.73

What happenedI have had Newsweek functioning electronically since it stopped the print edition the first time. I suddenly wasn’t able to get any downloads, it couldn’t find the server. Support said to get the new app and try again. I did. I agree with Tomlo 222 who’s review I just read. The new app doesn’t work, it’s very slow, it loads every page. Not the kind of update I would expect and not the functionality that would keep me reading Newsweek after more than 30 years as a subscriber.Version: 6.0

It's a winnerOk this is my new review. The magazine in ipad format is great and the price is excellent. Only thing missing is web links live and ability to convert an article to pure text to make the print more legible without having to pinch and zoom. I think the FT does this well. Wall St Journal and TIME will now have to adjust their ridiculous pricing. My first review Nice looking app and definitely a fair price. BUT the free issue was a mistake. Why not give us a real issue to sample. The special issue doesn't give me a real sense of the final product. I will buy an issue because I want to encourage fair pricing of magazines but wish they had let me try a real one if only 15 pages or so. By the way making the free issue all Obama was a gutsy move by the publisher in this environment of political differences. For this reason alone I will by an issue. In fact if rehire were a subscription I'd take it. The three stars is only because I haven't tested the full product yet..Version: 0

ProblemNothing but trouble most of this last year. I am never recognized as a subscriber any more. thanks.Version: 7.0.0

Importance of Newsweek in 2022Generally the news moves in waves. When the Ukraine invasion occurred, I relied on several sources for updates. As other events pushed input from the war into the background, I found Newsweek a quality source of ongoing vital news regarding that conflict that is reshaping our world..Version: 7.0.0

The futureNow this is the future of magazines like Newsweek. Of course we're going to pay for content, but if it's presented like this, I'm more than happy to do so!.Version: 0

Price issueGet real about the price of this, folks. These kinds of news outlets are a dying breed unless we support them, and this is a great price for a great news source. I like the fact that you do not have to purchase eve issue, so if you do not have time to read one, just don't buy it. A yearly subscription would be great and I hope they provide that, but meanwhile, this is a great start. I dropped my kindle subScription to Newsweek because of not getting the photos and color, so I am thrilled to see this app. It does need some improvement in terms of the display ... It needs to have a better method for enlarging the print so that it is readable, but otherwise overall it is a great start,.Version: 0

I like the NEW Newsweek!I do not get all the naysayers. This is a solid, easy to use app. Newsweek has taken a bold, brave step into the future of publishing. It is all going to end up online eventually and Newsweek is breaking the ground for others to follow. I love having the added feature of videos; can't get that in paper. It is so easy to navigate and I found the sign up and user guide simply and straight forward without a problem to get started. The articles are the same Newsweek quality as we're in print and the graphics are excellent as is the lay out as are the photos. There is nothing there not to like, at least not for me and I've been a Newsweek subscriber for decades. So, while I am of the boomer generation, I am enjoying the transition into the realm of digital publication. I warmly recommend this app..Version: 3.0.34

Great appWorks very well..Version: 5.1

App has less featuresOn their web users can leave comments and search news. Not with the app.Version: 7.0.0

It got worse-Update!Newsweek: you have redeemed yourselves. The new version of the app is a vast improvement! Congratulations. I am back to reading every week thanks to my ability to easily access issues. What's more, this is an actual app as opposed to the previous PDF download. Thank you. Newsweek: you're losing me in so many different ways. I've been loyal for a long time (since I was a kid watching my dad read you) through your various editorial iterations, some good, some not so good. The current version is not so good, but I appreciate the effort to reinvent. Now it seems you are actively trying to prevent me from being a reader. I bought a year subscription, but your app never remembers that I'm a subscriber. Right now I don't even have the option of doing the stupid email reset. Please fix this mess of an app. There are so many other options out there that it's not worth it anymore to come to you..Version: 3.0
