✓ Great App for emergenciesHaving lived through the earthquakes in Nepal rexently, this App will be great for keeping tabs on the family in case we have to go through another disaster. There is nothing more scary than loosing communication with your loved ones especially after telecommunications have also ceased. ✓ Very good but...Is it just me or is the history function doesn't work? I tap onto it, it finds my location, and that's it. I can't see the entire history. And I know there is content in the history because I log into Google Latitude and it's all there. Otherwise, fantastic app. I'm getting more accurate recordings of my location on my drives since the few updates. Maybe push notifications for alerting me if friends are nearby? Google don't tend to text me even how much I try :(.Version: 1.5

Please clarify this. After exit the GPS signal shows on the top. ✓ your current location (address and gps coordinates) with altitude and speed (if available) are always displayed on the application main screen and included in Facebook status updates -Couldnt do that yet..Version: 0

✓ SuperbThis app just 'works'. It's been a long time coming, and this app delivers. One caveat - apple broke their location API in OS4.1 (makes a mockery of Jobs ordering developers not to use private API's, but I digress). This means the 'background' function will only work on 4.0, and 4.2 (apple fixed their mistake)..Version: 0
✓ Flawless on iOS v4.0This works great if you are running iOS v4.0. Yes it cashes on v4.1, but the Developer has notified Apple of the crashing issues and it should be fixed when v4.2 comes out. Once this is fixed you'll love this app. If you're not on v4.1 yet, I'd buy it, but if you are, you should wait for an update to resolve the crashes..Version: 0

✓ New release and it's fantastic!Best app ever found to share your location on the fly with friends. I've had the pleasure of owning this app for a long time now and, apart from it becoming unusable when latitudes closed down (from my perspective), I have now been working closely with the developer to get this release available and assisted with beta testing. I'm so happy this new version now available for people. You are foolish if you don't buy it! ;). It works great and many great improvements still to come..Version: 3.0
✓ Very nicely done!I've tried all the latitude updaters I can find for iPhone now, and it must be said that this is by far the most professionally done. Nice interface and easy to set up/use. Also simple to turn off, which is something that seems to be an issue with a couple of others I could mention. What I'd really like to see though, as mentioned in other reviews, is OPTIONAL scheduled updates (so your position appears reasonably relevant even if you haven't moved in ages). Ideally 20-30 minute intervals, so as not to hammer the battery. Also, nitpicking, the buttons are a tad small (friends button for example), takes me a few goes to hit them usually. No biggie there though... Purchasers please note the comment in the built-in help: there is currently an issue with one of apple's APIs that can stop the automatic updates from working in the background. This affects all apps using the significant location change API (cell tower switch detection) and there's nothing developers can do until Apple issues a fix via OS update..Version: 0

If I look at my track on the history page of latitude and it is much more accurate on days using this app then the other client. With the other client there are points several miles away from anywhere I traveled. Improvements that would help this app: - send location when power status changes. That way it would send when getting in and out of car. - enable different set of options when plugged in. I bet this is an iPhone limitation with SLC events..Version: 2.3.7

✓ Awesome app!!Despite some problems I give 5 stars just becouse every issue is resolved within days. To be honest, my first contact with PlaceTrack was not totaly fair with developer but after a week of using it ( remembering experience with original Google App) I got it from App Store. And trust me: if you want it for just for fun, or like me ( got realy short memory and can't remember what I was doing 4 days ago), its worth more than £1.49..Version: 2.3.5

✓ Better than the official latitude appA colleague of mine has been using this app for some time and has always been saying how good it is. I never really did much with my Latitude account until they released the official iPhone app. I found however it really drained the battery even after they claimed to have improved this. This app is better on battery life, though still eats it a bit but there may be nothing further that can be done to fix this. It's a bit more approximate than the official app but not a lot it's still pretty accurate but doesn't update as often which is exactly what I wanted really. I like the interface and the fact it gives you more control, especially turning off updates when you get to 15 or 30 % battery life. I'd love some more options in the config page as I like to tweak things about! How about more battery life settings? 10, 20, 30 and 40 maybe or custom? Overall though it's a good app and it's worth spending the little bit of cash over the free one..Version: 1.5
✓ Great way to update Latitude w/o killing your batteryI use this app to maintain my Latitude history. Since it allows you to set the update intervals, you get a good approximation of where you've been without killing your battery.
