✓ Harsh customer serviceGreat app, don’t expect friendly customer support though, I found an error on a question and was sent a response by Martin THE CFI who did not take time to look into it, instead just told me to quit crying and waisting his time. ✓ FOI & FIAEarned 3 stars because of the card stack feature and that it is mobile. I found the FOI information comprehensive and good. I had several issues with the FAI. At least 15% of the questions on the actual test were not part of the program. I had several issues with the program shutting down unexpectedly. There were questions with no answer options, 2 options or 1 option. The flagged questions would disappear and I would have to start over going thru nearly 1000 questions. The card stacking is a great function.... When it worked. I had several issues with the sort resetting itself unexpectedly. Disappointed. To say the least. ✓ Outdated test questions (FOI)This FOI software is out of date, and it does NOT contain the actual/latest bank of test questions. Even with the automated update feature, it did not download the latest set of actual questions. When taking the actual test with CATS, many unfamiliar questions appeared in the test, i.e., never seen during the study session with the Dauntless software. Will now have to search for another study method....CrorloVersion: 8.2

✓ DissapointedBought it because it was one of the few study programs that were updated since questions for FOI changed early 2012. The question bank is not as complete as other programs. Compared to my outdated Gleim, the updated Dauntless had about 15% less questions per section, and often found a couple of questions that did not belong in their category. It does not provide a way to study in order, only random; and surprinsingly it does not provide an outline of the content so that one could study before seeing the questions. For the excessive price charged for this app you can buy a way better study program on your PC or Mac. Btw dauntless app and pc program are not the same, pc program has more q's.Danielgz767Version: 8.7

✓ All Kinds of Wrong InformationGlad I used software from another company before going to take my FOI written exam. This app has so much wrong information and poorly written questions it's not even funny - even after the update is completed. After going to another company's software I took my test and got a 96. ✓ Don’t buy!! Waste of money!I just left the CFI written exam and I passed with a 71 however I haven’t see probably 75% of the questions on the exam. I started using dauntless for my private and it was good then but it’s progressively gotten worse with each rating. I gave myself 2 weeks to prep for this exam and I’ve gone through probably over 5,000 practice questions. I sat down today and take the actual exam and I’ve never felt more helpless and underprepared. Save your money and go with a different test prep program..John e G.Version: 10.3.2

✓ Buggy and un updated app.If you are running newer devices like iPhone 14 or a M power iPad, forget about it. Will crash. They clearly don’t care about updating the app, it is still framed for the old style iPad screens, black bars on either side of the frame. ✓ Not so great...Use Sheppard Air. I have used both and there is no comparison. Sheppard gets my students ready much faster and results in much higher test scores. Dauntless last staff is callous and difficult to access. They don't have a phone number to reach them with, and are generally slow to respond with an email. ✓ Terrible Customer ServiceI reached out to Dauntless to get some advice on the AGI test I would be taking in a few days after my FIA. My FIA test results were passing, but not ideal. Instead of giving me advice they belittled me and said I didn’t study enough and I’m pouty about my score. Not very customer service friendly. ✓ Be awareGreat interface and about as enjoyable as studying hundreds of questions can be, but one serious flaw. A fair amount of answers to the test prep questions will not be the same as on the FAA written (which is the whole reason for this app). To be fair, there is a section that allows you to submit discrepancies but the way I see it, my job is to pay the 35 bucks for the app and do the studying. Dauntless's job is to make the study guide accurate for the test I will be taking. Not saying don't get the app but be prepared to cross check quite a few answers with an additional study guide (which kinda kills the convenience) in the first place..Rocketpod23Version: 9.5.8

✓ Don't buy for FOI, FIARepeatedly aced the FOI test on the practice software... Managed only a 74 on the actual test. Software not even close to being current with the revised test question bank. Save your money and get a better score by just reading the FAA publications. ✓ Don't pay for audioLook as a reference it's not bad. Allows you to go though questions and understand where you went wrong by showing to text after, on the topic. The audio isn't worth the extra you pay, It should be included. Especially at the price it is and the extra content you get that isn't overly useful. I only needed it for instructor exam. Other stuff is a small bonus but not that much. Would get a four or five but have to manually save each time I use it so I don't get repeated questions, and paid for audio that I don't think is worth it so it gets a 3.Umbrella!99Version: 10.3.2

✓ Good course, UX not so muchI’ve been using the app for a couple of months now. I am pleased with the course, and the explanations are well written and the illustrations aare exceptionally informative. I particularly appreciate the author's commentary frequently provided! But the problem is that the UI is only adequate. I really appreciate the ability to adjust the font size on the questions but why doesn't the explanation pages offer the same capability, there is a lot more to read and it is way too small. Worse, it is not responsive, when you do zoom in, it doesn't reflow so you are constantly panning left to right and back. That is very distracting making it very difficult to learn. Also, there should be a score shown as you progress through the questions. Finally, I would ask that the session be saved automatically and offered to resume when returning. Ideally saved, not just on the device but, the session saved in the cloud so that the switch from phone to tablet, or vice-versa, is seamless..Rocket305Version: 10.3.2

✓ Not representative of FAA test bank and many inaccurate answersThey have a number of inaccurate answers (I.e "Which middle level clouds are characterized by rain, snow, or ice pellets posing a serious icing problem if temperatures are near or below freezing?"). I would take up all 6000 characters if I pasted all of their errors. I only figured it out because I also read the FAA books and am using other study methods for test prep. They also don't have a quality representation of the questions that appear on the test. I scored a 94% on the FOI and would have done much worse if I just relied on Dauntless..SrhabuVersion: 9.5.5
