Lost bags at Charles de Gaulle againAir France flight and food was really good. Can’t fault this it. The app is rudimentary but works ok. However, we did fly though Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris as Air France does and no surprise our bags were not at our destination. We are with a lot of friends on holiday and almost every one has a hoot story of lost baggage at Charles de Gaulle. We won’t be flying through Paris in the future. Far too many bad stories to be just a one off problem..Version: 7.14.1

Crashes worse than the HindenburgTrying to log in to get my mobile boarding pass for my flight and not only did the app take forever to download on WiFi (I’ll chalk it up to slow WiFi) but every time I try to open the app it crashes. Every. Single. Time. I just want my boarding pass for my flight, and even the Air France is unresponsive. My mom was able to get her boarding pass after a while but my app still crashes. Both of us are using the latest app version on an iPhone 15/15 Pro. Just let Delta handle our check in and boarding passes instead of sending us through Air France and their crummy app.Version: 14.3

Évidemment je suis content que le vol ne soit pas annulé, mais si ça se passe, à beaucoup plus de personnes ça pourrait être très mauvais. La compagnie doit réparer vite ce problème. I needed to check some information concerning my flight, and I opened the app, and it said the flight is cancelled. Naturally, I called the company to ask what I should do and ask why I didn’t get an email or some other message. They told me that the flight was not cancelled, but that the app had a glitch. Obviously I’m happy that the flight isn’t cancelled, but if this happens to more people that could be very bad. The airline needs to fix this problem quickly..Version: 9.2.2

App is horrible!It’s after 1 AM on the East Coast and I have spent at least four hours today trying to book this flight. Bad appThis app needs to be improved. I book a lot through Delta and their app is amazing. When I travel to France and book through Delta but the airline I’m flying on is their affiliate Air France, I have to check in on the Delta app then log onto Air France app which does not pull up your booking confirmation. I have to find my flight confirmation # and add the Delta flight # and takes forever to pull up. Then I have to add my checked bags on the site. Horrible. Worse appHave not written a review in years but this Air France app deserves a special mention as it is so bad. After entering my ticket number, passport information and all they requested, i have yet to be able to get a boarding pass on my phone. Instead I get some offer to email my boarding pass, which I ultimately accepted out of frustration but have yet to receive 2 hours later. As for getting the boarding pass on my cell i keep getting some stupid error message, which makes no sense. A complete waste of timeAll I wanted this app for was to check-in. It totally failed to allow me to do so. After numerous attempts to scan my UK passport I accidentally realised that this only works if you hold your passport upside-down. How stupid of me not to realise that. Having successfully scanned my passport it still wouldn't let me check in saying there was an issue with my automatically scanned passport which is valid (it got me into both Turkey and Israel). It's enough to put me off flying with Air France. Now, despite paying a thousand pounds for a business class ticket, I have to check-in at the airport like it's the 1950s. Did anyone test this?If someone tested this app before releasing it, they were not nearly thorough enough. I cannot check in to my Air France flight even after providing all the information the app requests. The app says Frequent Flier program is missing. It is not. It’s correctly input into the app. Furthermore, it is optional info that should not prevent passengers from check in. Their online systems are equally useless and frustrating. No error messages appear, but passengers trying to check in for flights are mysteriously redirected to pages from earlier in the process. Inexcusably poor. So now I’ll wake up at 2AM and go to the airport to check in there. And possibly get stuck in a middle seat for both the trans-Atlantic flight and my connecting flight. Oh, and Air France also misplaced my bag for a week. It still is somewhere in CDG/Paris. No communication, 60 min+ telephone waits. It’s like Waiting for Godot. I can, I guess, understand the misplaced bag. But when software is tested superficially and doesn’t provide any remotely sensible error messages, that’s harder to forgive. “Sorry, something went wrong…please try again”I’ve gotten the “Sorry, something went wrong…please try again” error more times than I can count. I’m trying to plan a trip and rarely get all the way to the final price screen. There are no software updates and I’ve removed/reinstalled the app, powered/repowered my phone but nothing helps. Passenger Info Screen Not FunctioningEven when I am logged in, the passenger info screen that pops up when I try to book flights includes none of my personal data and won’t even let me add my Flying Blue number (All other SkyTeam partners are presented as options in the drop down list.) Weirdly, Flying Blue IS an option for “Passenger 2.” (But there is no way to access my profile’s “travel companions.” I used to use this app frequently and never had this problem until recently. I have checked and then unchecked the box, with no improvement. Lags behind other similar appsThis app was not easy to use, compared with other similar apps. It was clunky, and the logic didn’t flow very well, and certainly not approaching best in class overall. Specific issues: 1. Having registered for and downloaded into my wallet boarding passes using the app, I received a request some hours later, via email, to do the same again! 2. The app, which I was using in English, somehow managed, at one stage, to wander off into German content, without being asked. And I couldn’t get back into English… Lol..Version: 13.1.1

The KLM app has the same problem, which means the two probably share the same infrastructure. Please please please fix the latency on both apps. If you have to sacrifice quality and refinement of the design, so be it. This product serves frequent flyers with no time to waste. Function over form is key. VoyageThe Service Air France at the counter very very bad , I have never seen the service like this , we traveled together and we have the confirmation for number of our seat , but when we went to the counter get the boarding pass ticket they gave us separated seats, one seat row 31 and the other row 44 . Oops! our app is uselessHaven’t been able to log in for at least 6 weeks. Clicking log in takes me to a page that says oops that page doesn’t exist. Tried accepting all cookies, opening link in another browser on my phone (not that that would log me in to the app anyway). A really hopeless attempt from an airlineThere is a lot to desire. First when asked for either loyalty number or email, the app doesn’t allow for the loyalty number. Then you are asked for captcha for every transaction. And then authentication method is so warped that I have given up. Issues over baggage allowanceThe Air France App is OK but I have had issues with bookings not including my complimentary « weekender pass » baggage allowance on European flights. I also have had a proble m with a long haul booking which went through as « light » and which I could not, then, upgrade to a regular economy fare so that an item of checked luggage was included. I have been unable to add a checked bag and been advised to add excess baggage at the airport. I should prefer to have been able to confirm my baggage arrangements before leaving home..Version: 14.3

Low gradeI would expect more quality. There’s always an issue when trying to view the seating map and selecting or changing seats; I almost always have to refresh. Also, on the phone they say to use the app to make the same changes, but that’s not possible. I always have to call the phone number for upgrades and this is 2022 not 1980. You can’t say on the phone to use the app instead if the app does not have the same functionality. Worst serviceI had booked my tickets with you 2months earlier but your crew members changed our seats in the last minute. That was really unexpected. Can’t save bookings made elsewhereThis is a general problem with Air France’s database, not just the app (at least they are consistent!). Even though I was able to find a booking (made via another internet travel site), it wouldn’t be saved into my bookings, which means I have to search for it each time I use the app. (I have an account) . It probably also means that it won’t notify me if there are changes etc regarding the flight, even though I made sure to add that information. This doesn’t happen with, say, JetBlue. grrr....Version: 8.5.0

The worst app everIt took me 2 hours to reset my password and get it to work. I finally booked my ticket then I get a conformation email then another confrontation email. My ticket was booked twice. I called the support line, I was told the system is down, and they asked me to call back after 2 hours. I called back the second time, their system is till down. The third time I called an employe answered me, I told her what happened and she started to laugh. I am not sure what was funny about my horrible experience. I got upset and hang up, and called back again, this time I was able to speak to a supervisor. She then voided one ticket and now I have to wait 24 to 48 hours for the refund. I could choice a different airline but I have always traveled with AirFrance, however it’s a big disappointment this time, this is has to be the last time I travel with them. Customer service is what makes a company or break it. When I choice a company, I choice them for their Belief as company and their customer service. You guys are a big disappointment, and this will be the last time I will travel with you. I hope you technically improve your website/ app and so as your customer service skills... most of client pay extra money to be treated good or at lest right. Can’t even check inI would give it zero stars if I could. It is not very good. It cannot complete international check-ins because it cannot scan / complete the travel document portion. It’s (in my opinion) one of the most important aspects of an airline app. It is definitely buggy and limited on other functionality too but that is definitely my biggest pet peeve. Fix Your AppI’m going to Europe shortly on Virgin and Air France. The Virgin app lets me right in without making an account. Air France makes you jump through hoops to set up an account and whats to know what gender I prefer, how about using what I was born as? Anyway, I made a typo on my last name so the app won’t find my booking. No way to edit it so I deleted the account. PAMT3Shocking Return flight to U.K. in early February from S A 2017. Shabby aircraft!! Grubby & uncomfortable. Water dripping from air conditioning. Meal order not put through. Miserable staff. Only One air hostess did her level best to help. The undercarriage of plane VERY loud noise on take off & even worse on landing at Charles de Gaul! Frightening!!! Plane shuddering-a very rough noisy landing. Very distressing. This aircraft should have not been in service. Total rip off. Required help wheel chair help from international to domestic flight. The French woman assigned to me was outrageously rude & unhelpful, telling me to get out of the wheel chair & take care of small hand luggage and personal handbag on security conveyor belt. Advised her that if I could do this I wouldn’t be in a wheel chair. Asked her to get someone else to help This was not done. She had a very bad attitude & I didn’t feel I could trust her. She complained the entire way from international to domestic departures. Being very early morning we were alone en route to domestic departures much of this time & I felt very unsafe. Eventually I asked her to keep quite & stop complaining. On arrival at domestic flights she just left me in the wheel chair & walked off. This woman should not be in charge of travellers who require help. She should not be employed to work with the public in any capacity..Version: 7.12.1

Worst company to fly withI’m just gonna make it simple. I booked to connecting flights and both of them was late, first one 2 hours and second one 40 mins. When I arrived to my destination my luggage didn’t arrive then I made claim in the airport and online and started calling customer service no body knows nothing. Cluttered & InconsistentWhile visually pleasing, practically it’s difficult up for basic things like seat assignments and checkin. It doesn’t allow you to select separate seats when traveling with someone forcing you to sit side by side. Why are seat maps pulled several days before departure where no assignment is possible? ScamAfter picking flight with price and inputting name and other information, the next screen tells you “since you selected the flight the price has increased by ……”. This is something close to bait and switch scams but after booking 3 flights with the same price increase after selecting the flight it is clear Air France and KLM are just scamming customers with misleading prices on flights. I enter the data and it typically says something went wrong. After doing this numerous times and force quitting the app, it somehow eventually saves the data. And then I can proceed to check in. More trouble than its worthDoes some basic functions but can not be trusted when it can’t even capture passport data correctly .... using the camera it got my name and number but then gave issue date and expiry date as today’s date ... I updated that manually... then checked and it reverted to today’s date .... tried to delete but it wouldn’t ... tried to add another manually but it wouldn’t. Impossible to login - Air France irresponsibleThis App has been out of order for more than a week. Just no login. There is a spinning wheel (grey) on the login page and it just does not work. Very bad customer serviceWe travelled from Dubai to Newcastle. We had booking on KLM, but our flight was cancelled due to strong wind in Amsterdam. We then received a txt to say our flight is through Paris with France air. The 2 companies are partners. We were happy as this was resolved swiftly by KLM. This was our first time with France air. It was disgraceful. The crew were so rude to non-french speakers and never resolved issues swiftly, on the other hand, they were so polite with french speakers. Our child had a broken leg with plaster and required more leg room, we were told off for asking. We asked for a wheel chair and we were happy to move to push it between the international and domestics areas. When we arrived, it was there. We were told that the person with the wheel chair left as our flight was 30minute late. We had the option to wait for 60minute by the gate for another wheel chair or just walk. Our connection time was 90minutes. There is a distance between the international and domestic gates, so we had to walk worrying that disabled chair won’t come. Never again on Air France. It’s just badSeriously a terrible App. Took my wife and I an hour to change our seats in the app. In order to get a duo seat you have to book each person separately, which is annoying in the first place but then the cost for the „upgrade“ is displayed as 29$ initially however when you add the second passenger increases to 59 dollar for the second seat, which is borderline scamworthy behavior and very much a bait and switch. Usually 5* but payment 3*I like the simplicity and layout of the app, easy to find flight and keep a track of cost. But when I did purchase a ticket, it would redirect and not proceed. Unreliable functionalityI downloaded the Air France app in the Stuttgart, Germany to check in and manage my return flights to the United States the the prior to my departure. At first, everything worked well. Then, on the day of travel, the app ceased functioning at, of all places, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport in the Air France Lounge. Its symptoms were simply the app would begin to open then stopped and closed. Repeated attempts to use it resulted in the same failures. I tried deleting it from my iPhone and reloading it, but it still failed to open. Fortunately I had a hard copy of my boarding passes and had saved soft copies on my iPhone. I have no suggestions for the app’s failure as it worked on my iPhone the day before my flight, only to crash and burn the day I actually needed its services..Version: 14.3

TerribleThis the worst airline app I have ever used. When it works it’s slow and user unfriendly. Worst App I have ever encountered for a customer service companyDoes Airfrance have a technical team or a CIO or anything around that? The app wouldn’t pass a QA test. You can’t delete your passport information, and if you modify it, it adds a new passport on top of the older one. If you add any frequent flyer information, it won’t be saved. It says it’s saved, but it won’t save it. You can’t modify your credit card info even though you can try multiple times. Just a waste of time and energy and really disrespectful to anyone flying your airline. Take some lessons from Emirates or Qatar airlines. Even Delta app is way better..Version: 7.15.2

FareVery frustrating bonding with Air France. Fares would not load. Was told it was a technical error and IT was working on it. Cannot find option to download boarding passSuch a confusing app, I’m told on the website I can download my boarding pass to my wallet by using the app, yet cannot find an option to do this after getting the app, creating an account, and attaching my booking. My outbound journey offered the ability to add my boarding pass to my wallet from the website, but not for the return journey. Infuriating..Version: 14.3
