For example, I would love to see a way to set a custom screen size to match that my iPhone 4S. It would also be a handy feature should I break down and get an iPad. Connection speed is quick, screen refresh rate high, offers zoom capabilities as well as mouse pad sensor, short cut keys and control-alt-delete... As long as you don't need to right-click the mouse or drag things, this will do exactly as it states. And, as far as the in-app purchase, I personally wouldn't bother -- purchase the full version from iTunes (it's the same price) and you'll be able to transfer it to multiple devices, should you need to. You'll have to redo the servers you have, but since you are limited to one, it shouldn't be any big loss..Version: 1.1.6

After trying the free version, I switched to the the paid app to pick up some additional functionality and to support the developer. ✓ Brilliant except for one thing...All our clients use RDP as the basis for accessing their Terminal Server and this is by far the best app on the iPhone and especially the iPad. However... we have all been waiting for them to sort out the apple keyboard. The developers simply don't listen! We have been asking for full support for the bluetooth apple keyboard for over 12 months and NOTHING has been done about it. The keyboard works ok, however the "extra" keys, like Esc, Tab, Backspace, arrows, Shift, Ctrl simply don't work. The developer offers the onscreen iOS extra keyboard, why, when the keys are on the keyboard. Spoils an otherwise brilliant app. Also agree with previous note, don't lock the shift key down, release after one and stay consistent with every other App on the planet. Use the Caps-Lock on the external keyboard, oops, forgot you don't like using any extra keys!! Nearly well done. ✓ Excellent!I'm glad to see someone actually making a Free or Lite version of their app for the iPad rather than charging some outrageous price for an app you can't test drive. Unlike so many of the other RDP clients this one actually works with Windows Server. I was able to connect to the admin console of Windows 2003 Server within a minute or two of downloading. It worked flawlessly and offered plenty of functionality for me to control that server. I was able to get through the Start menu and launch apps with no problem. You have to keep in mind though that you're getting a "touch" aware device to control something that has no idea what that means. Windows is still Windows and it's clunky as can be when using your finger. That has nothing to do with this app, that's how Windows works. Don't expect to scroll a window with your finger or use gestures. You have to click! This apps works exceptionally well and I upgraded to the full version after using it for the day to get the right click, extended keyboard and virtual mousepad options. If you're looking for a simple way to control Windows I highly recommend this app. For those that claim it doesn't work and doesn't connect, you need to make sure you have a version of Windows that supports Remote Desktop (RDP) as most of then DON'T. You also need to configure the desktop, have a password associated with your account and set up your firewall. This app connected first try to my server so I know it works..Version: 0

✓ Great appThis is a free app and does what it says on the tin. Connection and graphics on both 3G and wifi are very fluid. The only PROBLEM was that I get grey blocks on the screen and it is impossible to refresh and clear the greyed out area so you have to disconnect and reconnect. Therefore I decided to pay for the upgrade in the hope it wouldn't grey out but unfortunately it still greys out so I wasted £2.99. Without the greying out I would give this app 5 stars. I needed to connect to a server but didn't have access to a computer. iRemoteDesktop was the only app that supported Windows Server and didn't cost an arm and a leg. It connected quickly, there was almost no lag, and the interface is very lightweight. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the lack of right-click (luckily I didn't need it) and mouse control not being super precise (zooming in fixes this). These features are in the paid version though. As it is though the free version is one of the most useful programs I've downloaded for my iPhone and I will definitely be considering the paid version.
