✓ Hope Poster???A buck isn't a big deal but this app shouldn't really be called the Hope Poster Photo Filter because it doesn't create anything like the hope poster. It does do some basic filters. I was thinking I was going to be able to create a poster similar to their example of Steve Jobs. The app isn't able to create any such poster. I don't like giving poor reviews but they really shouldn't use an example that wasn't created with their app. :).LilrigVersion: 1.0.2

✓ Very buggy and hard to useThis app seems very poorly designed. When I use it on my iPad 2, I get a strange bar along the bottom third of the display that blocks the text of the poster. Also every time I resize and zoom my image and click "done" the app zooms in and knocks the image off-center. Don't buy this app! ✓ Fun app to play withThis is a really fun app. It provides a really neat effect to your photos and I enjoyed it. However, I would have rated this app higher if it weren't for 2 areas that need some tweaking.... (1) The poster effect does not work very well on Caucasian faces, as they tend to end up looking too bleached out, and expert mode cannot necessarily fix this as expert mode also affects other aspects of the photo as well. (Note: African-American or darker skinned faces with some lighting seems to work great with this app, however); (2) I wish you were not restricted to just ONE word of text for the poster -- sometimes 2 or 3 words are needed or desired. Perhaps these 2 things can be fixed? But overall, it is an app worth exploring and playing with. I liked it. And with a few minor changes, I would love it..QuietThundrVersion: 1.1.0

✓ Very limitedThis app looked very interesting in the store-I love poster look. But it turned out to be a total waste!! It has very limited tools and 9 pre-set poster plates- not a great choice! Even if I use their" expert" tools which amount to only 3 sliders, the effects are horrendous. My guess is that unless someone has a very high contrast image, this app is completely worthless. The text is the worst part....if there are more than 6 letters, the text is cut off and replaced with .....It does not automatically reduce in size. I captioned with a "PA" and the "A" was several pixels too far to the right which also made the centering appear wrong (it's as if the word width was calculated right but the A was just deposited wrong, or something). ✓ Could do much moreAt first, this app is quite good, meeting the requirements I wanted it for. I used it on iPad and it worked well. However, the more I used it I noticed subtle flaws in the functionality, predominantly the inability to take photos from within the app, and the fact that phrases on the filters can only be a certain number of characters and if longer are not able to be scaled down, creating something like 'apples ar...'
