✓ Great potential!As a standalone app, this app is pretty good. When used in conjunction with an app like toonpaint however, some amazing results can be achieved. To the developer if you are reading this: take a look at toonpaint and the function to make things as outlines, smoothen and color in. If this app could do that, this would blow all competition out of the water!.Version: 1.0.1
✓ Buggy this app should be freeThe text wrapping and formatting in this app is so frustrating that I have buyers remorse. Sometimes it enters the wrong letter when you type, you cannot see words as you type, the formatting options are limited and reshaping text boxes is very unintuitive leaving white space and not centering or wrapping text correctly. Why the hell does text jump down to the next line when I haven’t pressed enter? If you are gonna charge money for this app it should work better..Version: 2.5.2
✓ No book and no mid-edit saveHalf-hearted effort as you cannot save a comic page mid-edit and when done all you can then save is a single page jpg or PDF. There are better apps out there for the iPad but this is probably the best for iPhone but still needs work. Only good for postcards..Version: 1.5.1

✓ HelpSo i downloaded the app a week ago ended up not needing it so I deleted it and then today i was charged like $3.99 from the app but have no way to contact support or find out what or why i was charged. ✓ Possibly 5 starsI so wanted to come back here and give this 5 stars seems to be a big improvement on halftone , but to be honest iv just really got my hair off with it when placing a bubble and putting text into it. You'll know what I mean!!!!!!! I'm trying to move the speech/thought bubble but it keeps moving the picture instead and also the keyboard keeps popping up and getting in my way. Other than this it's good fun iv made some great comics with pictures from Afghanistan and my mates love them but it's just abit jerky and chunky at the mo and if your easily frustrated it will be one of the only apps that makes you want to throw your iPad at the wall with the speech bubble placement. Anyhows until it's fixed it should be around 59p. But 5 stars for the idea.Version: 1.0.1
✓ Be warned!You'd like to think that a PAID app comes as a full package. Not so with this one. If you want the full array of additional graphics, you'll need to spend an extra $20. I feel cheated..Version: 1.6.0
✓ How the $&@! do you get out of Settings screen?Tap the gear to go into Settings. Now crash the app. Now reopen it. Is that really how we’re supposed to to get back to the main app? ✓ Great idea, needs some workThis is a great app for making fun comics and for playing around at home with. It makes comics really well, but I am trying to use it in a school setting and there are a few issues, namely that it would be great if you could make a comic on one device and email it to other devices to open and complete. ✓ Not as good as it wasComic Book was fantastic for creating fun images and adding png images from other Apps letting you make some fantastic cartoons of friends and family. Sadly recently this is no longer available with the png image no longer having a transparent background. Sad that this has changed, leaving the App lacking when compared to the older version.Version: 2.9.3
✓ No Support!!!!There are some good things about this app, but there were recent undocumented changes that caused me to lose templates I created. You cannot contact them for support - their website request form simply doesn't work. Very unimpressed. Unless they actually start to care about customers I'd stay away..Version: 2.0.3

✓ Lots of potential, but clunky controlsLove what I can do with the app. Great features - stickers, titles, filters for images... But doing these things and making a comic strip is a bit clunky and can improve. Would be great to have a side menu - access my library of comic strips, different stickers, effects etc. without needing to go into 'create'. The buttons in general could be bigger so it's not so hard to tap them (eg. Create, fx, making edits). Zooming in to a comic strip would be great - especially for when there are multiple boxes in my layout. Making comic books, rather than just strips too would be nifty (ie. multiple pages). ✓ Hidden expensesThe app, running on iPad 3, is okay if not a little low Rez but does the job it was designed to do with a slightly unintuitive interface. Now for the expenses which will drive this app from just a few dollars to hundreds of dollars in no time as you are slugged left, right and centre for absolutely every single pow, zap and bang sticker that is pretty well the norm if you intend to be serious about making a full comic. Sticker packs are priced at a point where you say why not but there are a lot of sticker packs to buy. In the end, if the developer continues to support and update this app, it may be worth it as there are things that need work but in the end it's all going to come down to you..Version: 2.0.0
✓ Description needs changingThe app is good and well worth the asking price. I was just hoping that when you said it was a fully featured comic book creation app you meant I could make comic books. Unfortunately I can only make single page comic images. I think it just needs a simple update to the description and all will be on track. ✓ Not a book!While this has bags of potential, it is in no way a book! It's just one page. I'm keeping the App in the hope that the updates make it easier to use. I wanted to use it to create comic BOOKS of the special occasions in our kids lives. But it's to cumbersome at the moment. ✓ Basic with notable issuesA bug has been introduced which makes this unusable. The circles used to manipulate the caption tails now export with both pdf and images making the output flawed. You can do basic layouts with this app and it’s fairly useful for that. However it can’t do the one thing you think it might: make a book. The only way to create a book is in app. You can’t view it outside. To do that you have to export pdfs or images and build it yourself with other software. Which is now broken due to the caption tail issue. Caption types are limited. Only one form allows you to size the box. No typical “radio” message type caption bubble. In your saved pages, there is no obvious order. It seems like last update sorted them by regency of edit but there is no way to sort by name for instance which is hugely inconvenient. Pictures also can’t be locked in place unless you apply the comic book filter appearance to them. Overall it’s ok for a quick layout but it quickly runs into usability problems..Version: 2.9.507
✓ Inappropriate!!Yes this app easy and fun to use with it’s already accessible internet pictures, but while using the app myself I was scrolling through the pictures provided and came across several pictures of naked women. I would highly suggest not downloading this app for young children, due to the inappropriate photos provided..Version: 2.5.2
✓ Has its limitsNice idea, and with a following wind, works well. If there is an "undo" option, I've yet to find it. Its absence is a bind. If the effect you apply doesn't really come out well, you literally have to delete and start again. Editing in captions is primitive too. Some work, some don't, even when it looks like they will. Stick to sImple, bright images, and put up with the overall rather muddy tones the cartoon rendering gives. ✓ Comic colors.Developers you need to seriously work on the comic colors and actually make them look like a comic design. Every single photo I've tried to use doesn't look anything like the fx's you advertise, and I end up not bothering using the fx filters cause they're so bad. If you're going to advertise as an actual comic fx then design it. 😡.Version: 2.1.1
✓ Good app, but unstableAfter spending several hours creating a comic book strip, and then tried saving it, the app crashed and completely wiped all the work I had done. After the second time this happened, I went and bought a different app which worked flawlessly. ✓ A first for buyers remorseIve downloaded over 150 apps over my two apple devices and not once have I ever understood when people have stated in a review that they want there money back - This is the first time I've had that true feeling of buyers remorse... The app is clunky at best, I struggled to get two photos in and with a slight edit - add anything more and it crashes - but not in the sense that it returns you to the OS home screen to the point it's like your device has a virus and your like WTHeck did I just pay for! ✓ Maybe 5 stars if you are not looking something more specificI do my own cartoons. I ve bought this app to see if I could make them on the go. Something so simple as small text is missing. The smallest font will serve you to write a couple of words only. I wanted to write about 10 words per line and the smallest font will write about 5. It was so chunky I had to use a other app (good notes) to write the text, export it as a picture and then import it in this app again. Other functions are quite good. ✓ Why the tiny icons?This is a great app, it does what it's supposed to do and it does it well... However guys, what is the deal with the TINY buttons. ✓ Desperately needs a redesignThe UX is appalling. As a creator I have no freedom editing my content. You have to apply one thing strictly after another and can't edit your previous actions individually. Also when printing a page it won't fill the whole A4 sheet, prints over a small area. ✓ Great app butHey this is awesome but when you save as a PDF file and email it to someone any speech you've got written in a caption box is chopped and the opened PDF from an email doesn't appear how it was saved in comic book. ✓ Not suitable for kidsI downloaded the app for my son who draws his own comic characters and thought it would be a great way to create his own comic book. Lucky I tried it with him the first time because when we were looking for an image of an explosion and used the Flickr add in option some pornographic images came up. And very explicit I might add, adults engaging in acts. There is no warning for this on the App Store and there is no way from what I can see that this function can be disabled. I won’t be able to let him use this on his own which defeats the purpose. Very disappointing and frightening..Version: 2.9.3

✓ Needs workOn the surface this looks a great app HOWEVER I've only been playing with this for a few mins and it's all ready crashed three times losing everything I've done. ✓ Multiple crashes on an iPad 1I desperately wanted to like this App, since I was working on something with it with my 4 year old son and having a blast. However, it CRASHED multiple times, and worse, there didn't seem to be any way to even do a save-in-progress. I tried saving the Image, but of course this only loaded the entire work as a single Image and provided very limited ability to continue from when we left off. PLEASE FIX THE BUGS and make sure in the event of a crash that it's been AUTO-SAVING and will pick up where it left off!!! [UPDATE]: I turned my iPad 1 off completely and then on again and the bugs seemed to disappear. As my iPad's memory was pretty full, this suggests that the problem probably has something to do with memory management. Please fix and you've got a 5 star app! (though one suggestion: PLEASE add the ability to do multiple pages (so you can actually create "real" comic books rather than just a single photo page!).Version: 1.0.0
