✓ One of my favouritesThis is a great little app that's only going to get better. Straight off the bat you can create wonderful effects that mimic the comic genre and quickly create pages you can share via email or social media sites. For me it works well as it is now but I'd love to have the ability to save a draft page, start a new one and then at some stage return to the draft. Another great feature would be a built-in magazine app that presents your comic in a page turn presentation..Version: 1.0.1

✓ ComicBook! Is a MUST Have!I have been using this for years… I worked for Apple Computers for more than 10 years consistently recommended it as one of the best Apps for expressive creativity. I recommend getting used to the different lay outs, think about telling a story and then use other apps in conjunction to produce the art in a way that reflects your style. I like to take pictures of my kids toys, artistically modify them, then bring them into ComicBook! To lay them out to make stories. Good stuff. Developers: PLEASE KEEP SUPPORTING THIS APP! ✓ Lots of Fun!Fantastic app! I've played around with it quite a bit, and found it to be excellent! Turn photos very easily into comic book style pages. Lots of effects, stickers, layouts, etc, and all easy to use. Finished images can be easily saved or sent to Facebook, etc, for sharing. The only thing I'd change is that where the extra stickers packs have to be purchased separately, it'd be nice if there was a money saving option to purchase them all together also..Version: 1.5.1

✓ Oh Yea!This is a great fun app and after talking with the Devs they are listening and they are adding features. My grand daughter liked this so well on my iPad 2 that we bought it for her iPad 1 also. We have not experienced any crashes and we have made at least 30 pages from our vacation and sent them back and fourth. Working Great on a 64gig iPad 2 and a 16gig iPad 1 Those of you who are having crashing problems need to contact the support team. Just posting here that yours is crashing does nothing to get your problem fixed. They need to know what device you are using, how much memory your device has, any utilities you may have running in the background, ect.... This is a review forum not a tech support forum. Don't expect to get your problems fixed by posting "It Crashes" here. If you have been through the Support help and are still dissatisfied then go ahead and vent. But if you want to see the app running on your device with your configuration you need to help the support team figure out why it is not..Version: 1.0.1
✓ Minor FlawsI like how the pictures are exported in high resolution. However, there’s seems to be a tiny flaw after the update. Every time I export the image, not only is the dialogue not centered in the balloon like it’s supposed to be, but also the text is a different color rather than black. ✓ Really good for comic makersI’ve always had the trouble of finding panels that are the same style but also keeping the text in the speech bubbles the same size in each one. This app has solved both those problems. gives me various pages of panels that are all the same styles and keeps the does the speech bubbles for me. Now I can create each panel separately and simply place it on the page when done. That app helps save me a lot of the troubles I had before. The only thing that could make it better is keeping the high quality of each image placed in and lastly is that it should have even more option of pages of differently arranged panels that get added as an update.Version: 2.9.701

✓ I love comic book!!!!!!!!When I first got this app I was a little confused, but it's definitely worth paying! I got mine free almost 5 years ago but let me say that I would have payed the money any way. I am in middle school and make comics about pets, I have many of them. It s amazing to look back on my old comics to see memories, my own creativity, and sadly some beloved pets who have passed. Moment of silence for them please. I have a blog called - From A Kids Point Of View - I will soon be talking about this app and a couple others on there. Of the app itself, I find it great for creating comic strips & pages that in some cases are as good as any comic I've seen professionally produced... Kudos to the designers for creating such wonderfully creative, storytelling medium that can be quite addictive... ✓ Best comic app for iOS!No app has 'everything' but Comic Book is the best of breed if you want to have fun with photos or make more complex boards. The interface is easy and straightforward, but help is there and useful as well. Additional 'stickers' are available and are reasonably priced for what you get. Export options are plentiful, and you can import from the photo section or from the camera. Choosing comic format is easy but I didn't see any option for designing a 'custom' strip with panels sized and placed by the user. Even lacking that, there are plenty of choices that will suit most needs. You can easily apply a variety of 'looks' including halftone, posterization and others to you panels The caption options are plentiful and cover most needs, and they also allow color choices, font adjustments and the caption pointers can be easily lengthened or changed to point in any direction. All in all this is a very good app for making your own comic strips. if you spend an honest hour using it you'll see for yourself. That said, I hope they continue to expand the choices and categories of 'stickers' and perhaps offer user defined panels and captions for that matter. Suggestions: Can we have a 'lock image' so the image does not move when trying to, but not successfully clicking on a placed caption or sticker. Make the images of the camera and from library larger, they're tiny even on an iPad. Make changes to text placed in captions without having to delete everything - ie if you made a spelling mistake, or wanted to make a slight change. More fonts and make colours and FX's more adjustable in colour/amount with a % from 1-100. STOP CRASHES! I spent ages making a 3 page strip losing everything!!!.Version: 1.0.1

✓ AWESOME APP, WORTH THE MONEY, BUT COULD BE IMPROVEDI love this app. I have been wanted to put together a comic for ages and it was actually one of the main reasons I got the iPad Pro, however the best drawing app out there (procreate) does not lend itself well to drawing boxes and entering text. Luckily drawing boxes and entering text is just what this app is designed for so it has made my life and workflow a lot simpler. Takes a little bit to get the hang of, but the workflow is pretty quick once you get used to it. There are a few issues around saving and storing pages which could be improved and the I don't like the way the text editor breaks apart words on captions with small amounts of text, however these are small issues that can be be accepted and worked around. Well worth downloading and I bought some of the extra stickers as well although I thought these were relatively expensive..Version: 2.1.1

✓ Comic Book Deserves the !This is an awesome app. So easy, and the simplicity makes it super fun! This app is so user friendly that I had created my own comic strip within 10 minutes of downloading the app, without even reading the help guide. How super cool to be able to transform yourself into a cartoon at the push of a button. If you have even the tiniest creative bone in your body you should give this app a whirl! Combine this with photo booth and you're away laughing! My one small niggle (and it's very small), is that the speech bubbles aren't as easy to manipulate as they could be. The tails are hard to grab and drag and it would be great to be able to resize the bubbles once you have inserted your text. ✓ Creative, fun app, could use added functionalityOverall, this app delivers as promises. It's fun to use, and it's a neat way to use photos from one's library. I found it to be mostly stable, but there are several features that would be helpful if the developers implemented: 1. An ability to save the file in progress for editing later. Right now, if the app crashes or if you remove the app from operating in the background, you will lose the project that you were working on. This is frustrating, especially if you spend 20 minutes working on a project. 2. An ability to resize the text and thought bubbles without having to type something in them. This would be a helpful feature when putting stickers inside of bubbles. 3. Auto-size for text rectangles based on text content. Right now, the user has to manually resize the rectangle if you want the text to remain on a single line. 4. There needs to be an easier way to see which sticker sets have been purchased and which have not been purchased. (Without having to click on a particular set.) For example, can you change the icon in a way that shows which sticker sets the user already owns? 5. Custom font colors (instead of the six pre-chosen options) would be great..Version: 1.5.1

✓ Great app but need full size savingThe is a great little app to create a comic book page or to add comic book effects to your photo. It does exactly what it says in the description. The interface is intuitive and easy to use. However it is not perfect. The native file size that it allows you to save to (1024 x768 for the iPad) is way too small. This is OK for Facebook but I would love to be able to save an image to its full size so that I can use it as a wallpaper for my iMac for instance. The filters, the Manga one in particular, work very well only if your photo is tonally balanced. They give poor results if your photo is over or under-exposed. I would love to see some sort of tonal control such as brightness and contrast of light and shadow options in the filters to counter this. The following is a list of improvement suggestions I would love to see implemented in the next version: 1. Full size (high res) saving. 2. Tonal controls in the filters to fine-tune the filter effect. 3. The option to remove the frame of the image totally. I would love to be able to add stickers or speech balloons to an image without have to add a frame to it as well. 4. More font sizes other than just the default small, medium and large. 5. I would love to see an option to have a curved tail to a speech balloon. 6. More stickers (I love them) This is still a really good app and you can have a lot of creative fun with it.
