Good Food Magazine for Positive User Reviews

Very good magazineI have been pleasantly surprised. I haven't read this magazine before. The content is well presented and the interactive features are well done..Version: 1.4.2

Fabulous foodA wonderful range of recipes throughout the magazine along with interesting articles and great competitions..Version: 5.4.4

GreatBrilliant for those of us that live abroad and can only get old, overpriced copies of the print versions. Well laid out, easy to use. Extras such as videos etc. Good value..Version: 1.4.1

Good Food MagazineWonderful recipes...great app. I live in the USA...this is a wonderful little recipe magazine...have tried many of them!.Version: 1.3.1

Love itExpensive magazine in hard copy in Canada. Great way to get Good Food..Version: 1.4.1

Great appGreat app and great recipes.Version: 1.4.1

Great Food!Since I can't subscribe to the magazine in the States, this is the next best thing, and less than half the newsstand price without the ads! Great content, wonderful recipes! A keeper..Version: 1.6.2

Fantastic. The wife is very impressed! This app just adds so many strings to your kitchen bow. There are many recipes requiring varying degrees of skill. Pick out what you fancy and just add to your favourites rather than searching through all the different mags. I have a new found love of cooking. Nothing better than being in the kitchen on a day off work making a mess with iTunes playing and coming up with a dinner your wife has chosen for you to cook! She will love you for it! There have been issues of the app crashing when starting up but this seemed to resolve itself when I switched the iPad off and on again! Hasn't done it for a while. I have 8 mags downloaded from my subscription and will definitely be re-subscribing. Mmmmmmmm, peanut butter and white chocolate cookies!!!!!!!.Version: 1.4.2

Good FoodDelighted to be able to read an old favorite on my iPad plus love the interactive recipes and views.Version: 1.4.4

VibrantLove that I no longer have to wait two months for the current issue to arrive in Australia. The pictures are so vibrant, love all the little extras, like the videos and shopping lists. Much easier to store that my ever increasing collection of cooking mags..Version: 1.3.0

Luv itI recommend this app.Version: 1.6.2

Great for ex-pats too!Having recently moved to the USA for my job I was so pleased that I could continue to read Good Food magazine for such a reasonable price! US stores do sell the paper copy but for a silly amount of money which is hard to justify but I will continue to read Good Food via this app instead, thank you Good Food magazine for a job well done..Version: 1.2.1

ExcellentFabulous app!.Version: 1.6.0

Goodfood MagazineLove the magazine. Had a few problems with the application for the first issue only..Version: 1.4.2

Food MagazineLove your updated version. Love having pictures to go with recipes..Version: 1.3.1

Really enjoy it!Luv the recipes I have tried. Thank you..Version: 1.4.4

Good ResourceRecipes are easy to complete and results are consistent. Will continue to review and prepare some really good products..Version: 1.6.2

WonderfulThis is so much better than reading a food magazine :).Version: 1.2.1

ExquisiteThis magazine is proof that the British do know how to cook good food. I was introduced to Good Food back in 1991, after being transferred to the uk for business. At that time they didn't have subscriptions but I could have it delivered by my local news agent. When we returned to Canada I had to have all of my saved copies of my favorite magazine return too. I have always kept them because I refer to them whenever I'm looking for a particular British recipe. Then I was gifted an iPad and looking up recipes is so much easier, I wouldn't be without my copies both hard copy and digital. (I must admit that I do go to my local book store and buy the occasional 'good Food', hard copy..Version: 1.6.2

Food!!Really enjoy it!.Version: 1.4.4

Brilliant appI have loved this mag for years and think that the iPad app is brilliant, the recipes are so good and always seem to work for me,love it..Version: 1.4.4

GoodfoodGreat recipes!.Version: 1.4.4

Even better than paper!Already a paper subscriber but love the iPad version as you can search all assure for a recipe which was always my biggest problem with the paper ones, finding then recipes I liked! Also takes up a lot less room on my book shelf now and I just pop my iPad into the clear plastic recipe book holder to cook with..Version: 1.4.0

Best cooking/baking ideasLove this magazine always find useful and imaginative recipes!.Version: 5.6.0

Great appGreat app, recipes are awesome.Version: 1.4.1

Near perfectionOk idiots out there... The reader is free, the individual magazines you pay for. Same as you do in shops, if you can't understand that then I want the oxygen back that you clearly don't deserve to breath! Rant over, the app. This is so nearly perfection, gorgeous detail in the photography brought to life by the iPad screen. Excellent contents and navigation system making skipping through a breeze. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING is interactive, right down to the adverts. There is a shopping list feature which is fully editable plus you can export or print it. Great feature. You can build a recipe book as well as a library of back issues. The only downside for me was the actual cooking instructions, some not detailed enough. For example... Garlic, chopped. Finely chopped, coarse lay chopped? With no step by step pics or videos it's a judgment call at times..Version: 1.4.0

Love this appI have been a magazine subscriber for over 10 years and fast running out of shelf space. Now I don't have to worry anymore with this app..Version: 1.4.4

BBC good food magazineI love this magazine and look forward every month to the new addition. My husband is from England and enjoys the meals I make using ideas from this publication.Version: 5.4.1

Goodfood MagazineThis is a great app, i enjoy it more than the printed magazine. However I am tired of having to download updated versions nearly every month it seems. In my location in Canada my Internet charges are expensive ! Anyway I'm deducting a star, otherwise totally happy..Version: 1.4.0

Great RecipesAs I am Gluten Free, I love the fact that the recipes points out the ones I am allowed to eat and how easy they are to make..Version: 1.4.4

Love Good FoodThis is my favorite magazine and I would have given you five stars but the March 2011 copy will not open. Other than that I like buying them as they are now..Version: 1.6.0

Time to throw out the pile of old hard copies?I love a food magazine, I succumb to them the way others succumb to the lure of new shoes. On the face of it it may seem like a cheaper addiction but not necessarily so; there are a growing number of mags out there and by the time ingredients, gadgets and accessories are purchased... Good Food app is as practical and useful as it's sister hard copy. I thought I might miss the sensation of 'flicking through' the magazine but I don't. The flip function is handy and the tip button like 'health benefit' on key ingredients is a nice touch. This app holds it's own among other 'glossies' like Martha Stewart and Gourmet Live apps. And of course it's so much easier to store the back copies. Don't know if I can mark up a recipe as a favorite? It took me some time last night to find the excellent Rhubarb and Ginger jam recipe from a few editions ago - mainly because i hadn't noted down where i had seen it first time round! - but there is probably an app for cataloguing... Well done Good Food, when can we expect to see Olive on the app store shelves?.Version: 1.3.1

Keeps crashingKeeps crashing when I open the bookmarks section. Tried deleting the app and reinstalling but still crashes..Version: 5.6.7

A yummy readSo excited with my good food mag on my iPad, it is fun, colourful, fabby recipes and love the videos/ interactive stuff! Impatient for each issue!.Version: 1.4.1

Enjoy this appWas so glad when app came out. I have magazine subscription but comes end of month, with app can down load long before magazine arrives..Version: 1.4.4

Great appGreat recipes. Tried a few and pleased with the results. Everyone loved the dishes I cooked! The app is easy to use..Version: 1.3.0

This app has good days and bad days...Mostly slow to download, and the mag/app crashes frequently. I might have to o back to the paper subscription if this continues. Love the magazine otherwise. Perhaps the developers head is in the fog..Version: 1.4.1

BrilliantLove this app as it makes cooking easy by having instant access on iPad to a wide variety of recipes. Wish there were more magazines doing the same..Version: 1.2.1

Excellent appHave always loved this magazine, living in US I can't always find it in stores, and it's always pricey. This is a great way to get the content..Version: 1.2.1

Fab magFabulous mag. The reason I bought my iPad..Version: 1.2.1

Smart packaging of contentReally well done! More than a digital rendering of the magazine, the Good Food app makes good use of technology. Love the way pictures and related recipes are bundled, allowing the pictures to really pop..Version: 1.6.2

Appi-liciousI usually purchase the Good Food magazine every month from my local newsagent. Thought I would do my bit for the environment and my pocket and download my issue of Good Food each month on my lovely iPad. Benefits, there are many. It's cheaper, more eco friendly, and I have the ability to share my favourite recipes, ideas for future entertaining with my boyfriend who is an avid cook and away from home much of the time. Its also, less annoying to my bus passenger friends, who have previously had to put up with my flicking and turning of pages for a whole week when the new issues is released. No more splattered or dog eared issues of the Good Food mag adorn my coffee table or my kitchen. My iPad simply sits there, looks terrific, and can be simply wiped off when used in the kitchen. All the other features, book marking etc just add to this lovely appi-licious app.. Mmm Mmm... .Version: 1.2.4

My favorite app! This is the stella app of all time and imagine my delight as a foodie that it is the best! It's functionality is fantastic. It's the app I go to when I'm showing off my iPad to friends..Version: 1.3.0

No more waiting!Loving being able to get my hands on this magazine on my iPad. Much quicker than waiting for it to arrive in Australia (we're 2 months behind the current UK edition). Hope they come up with some way of bookmarking specific recipes down the track, to make searching quicker..Version: 1.6.0

Love the appsVery new to my iPad but so far love the bbcgf app. I also enjoy hard copy magazine and will continue to subscribe for a while I'm sure..Version: 1.4.3

Very user friendly appLove that you can bookmark and categorize recipes. The mag becomes a very user friendly recipe book..Version: 1.3.1

Really well thought out.I was going to write to good food magazine and complain about this app. I'm a subscriber to the magazine and feb's issue came through the door with a mention of the iPad app on practically every page. I tried to download it straight away but it took 3 weeks for the app to eventually be available. However now that i've finally got the app I'm really blown away by it! I think they have thought of everything - shopping lists, cook cards for use in the kitchen and excellent food photography as always. We go away in a few weeks to Portugal and I have a feeling this app will improve the self catering no end! It was worth the wait good food!.Version: 1.4.1

FantasticFantastic magazine...can't wait every month to try new recipes..Version: 1.6.0

Good foodGreat recipes! Love it.Version: 1.6.0

GreatLove this mag, well done. It takes a while to load though..Version: 1.4.4

ThrilledVery happy with being able to subscribe electronically. I have long wanted to subscribe, but being overseas it was cost prohibitive. I have many back issues, but had stopped buying the physical magazine due to space constraints. I'm looking forward to many great meals :).Version: 1.4.0

Best magazineHave plenty of food apps but this is my favourite.Version: 1.3.1

Great magOne of the best cooking magazines out there! I've bought it at full cover price on the newsstand for years. Just something about the way they presented all..Version: 1.6.2

I likeThey give you the option of downloading two sample issues and it seems like an awesome mag/app. I love all the cool little features that it has and the yummy looking recipes. I would subscribe but 40 bucks for a year is steep. So I think I'll just hand pick the issues I'd like o buy..Version: 1.4.1

Great mag.A great magazine for any one who, loves food and loves creating great dishes ..Version: 1.4.4

My favourite magazine app!Love the ability to bookmark and search on tagged recipes.Version: 1.6.2

GoodFoodThis is a great magazine. I'm never stuck for fresh ideas..Version: 1.6.0

Brilliant MagazineThis is one of the best food magazines I read and I look forward to it every issue. eep it up please..Version: 1.6.0

Terrific! This is one of my favourite magazines. The recipes and photos are wonderful, and it's nice to have a change from North American perspective. Only one small problem that I have with this, and most digital magazines, is the inability to copy and/or edit text. I have never been able to complete a single recipe in my entire life without modifying something, and it would be convenient to do it right on the pages. All in all this is great app and a lovely magazine..Version: 1.4.2

I love this magazineI used to have a subscription to this magazine but it is expensive to have it sent to Canada so I was delighted to find an App for the IPad..Version: 1.2.1

BahiaGirlA very good App. Easy to use and I think I will enjoy it more and more. I still love the magazine, as I have from the very first issue, so it will be hard to divert me completely from that. But since I mostly do not live in the UK, although I can almost always get my copy, it feels good to have a back up, just in case!!! One negative is that the App is not available at the same time as the UK edition hits the stands. The same problem exists with non-UK subscriptions which is why I have given up on subscribing. For example, if the January edition is on UK newstands in early December, but the subscription does not arrive until 1st. January, it can cause distortions in the appropriateness of recipes available at certain times of year. I understand why you want to catch the last-minute Xmas cooks in UK, but who can be bothered with more turkey recipes in January? I would be far more inlined to buy the App if synced with UK issues. Thank you for the opportunity to comment and please keep up th fabulous work you all do!.Version: 1.4.1

Fantastic magazineFull of delicious recipes & useful tips, for all, covering different seasons, diets & on trend foods..Version: 5.4.0

A great AppThis is great. I used to get the print edition of the magazine and now have this App which is terrific. I love the bookmark feature that makes it easy to find my favorite recipes, which others Apps don't always have..Version: 1.4.3

Fantastic magazineI love it. Lots of pictures and easy to read recipes..Version: 1.3.0

Great app!!This is one of the best magazine apps I've found. It loads a little slow but the wait is worth it. The photos are beautiful, the recipes easy and delicious, and all the functionality works as advertised. It's a really great app. Thank you!.Version: 1.4.4

MrsDefinitely a plus if you're already a subscriber, great pictures and features. Would love to see more tutorial videos of techniques by the featured chefs..Version: 1.2.1

Good food is awesome!Love this magazine, really like the good wholesome, healthy foods and recipes!.Version: 1.4.0

Great app and magVery useful recipes!.Version: 1.6.0

GreatIt has everything I want, the recipes have never failed so far. Great magazine..Version: 1.4.1

Definitely get this appEasy to use, great recipes and articles. I've decided to subscribe!.Version: 1.4.0

BBC bestLove, love, love this magazine! Food we can all cook & enjoy..Version: 5.4.1

Really glad this app came along !Like another reviewer, I had problems with logging in. I had pre-registered whilst the app was delayed and I suspect that the login details got trashed. Unlike the other revere, I had superb help from the Help Desk with useful suggestions and, when all else failed, my id was letter so I could register again and get logged on. Absolutely LOVE the app and I suppose it's too much to hope that some of your "best of......" recipes could be added as extras? I agree that the app and mag need to be timed to appear about the same time and look forward to enhancements; I agree that an index that crosses issue boundaries would be ace, even if it just referred to the issue to find the recipe in. Also found the Newsstand app a tad confusing at first, but sussed it now. But some mags seem to have lost their cover pic; can this be fixed?.Version: 1.4.1

Love the app but subscription through iTunes is buggyI have had multiple issues when I purchase my subscription through iTunes. After the last time - when apple couldn't figure out how to fix it I finally got a refund and now subscribe through the magazine directly. Haven't had a single issue since..Version: 1.6.0

Love this magI enjoy this mag...look forward to reading it every month!.Version: 1.4.1

A real pleasureAll the great content of the mag that I've always enjoyed with the portability and accessibility of the iPad. I love it..Version: 1.2.1

Worth the moneyThis is a great app, no doubt about it. I do find navigating around between recipes and issues a bit tedious but that could just be me. Then again, it could actually be a bit tedious and it might not be me... Either way, it's still good. I don't give 5 star ratings to anything anyway..Version: 1.4.4

Great MagazineThe app works well except for the print restrictions, I like to keep a hardcopy of special recipes and the app forces me to choose between a print copy $10.99 in Canada vs. $4.99 for the app version..Version: 1.4.2

Have to restore purchasesHi folks, I have a 6 month subscription from the Apple store but every month when the new magazine arrives, I have to restore purchases in order to get my copy. Slightly annoying Hope you can fix J.Version: 5.6.7

ExcellentAs a previous subscriber to good food magazine I knew how good the mag was and have not been disappointed by this app! Admittedly it did take a while to figure out how to download it properly but as I'm new to the whole app world that did not surprise me! This app is every bit as good as the magazine and much more Eco friendly for me! It has all the extra hints and tips which you would normally expect to get, plus you get video too, an aspect I hope they are going to be expanding on! Well worth buying! Although I don't like the time you have to wait from seeing the latest edition in the shops to getting it on the iPad! It seems far to long.... And as avid reader I'm starting to struggle with the wait! That seriously need to be addressed! But other than that I love it..Version: 1.2.1

Good food magI think the magazine app is great. I have made several recipes out of the magazines and really enjoy the ability to have UK recipes so easily at my finger tips..Version: 1.4.4

Good food..great appI'm a big fan of Good Food Magazine, and have loads of torn out recipes covered in food. This app is wonderful! The splash-proof screen protector means I can use the iPad in the kitchen, store my recipes neatly and bookmark my favourites. The app is very practically set up, with beautiful contents menus and it's very easy to navigate. The recipes range from easy to quite complicated, healthy to overly indulgent (which I love!), traditional to exotic. Each recipe is accompanied by a beautiful clear picture, much like the recipe cards you would find in Waitrose. You can use the shopping list fuction to add ingredients to your shopping list and email it to yourself or friends. A must-have app for anyone who loves cooking..Version: 1.4.1

MrsGreat magazine! Plenty of good and easy recipes with easy to follow instructions and ingredients that are not difficult to track down even here in South Africa! Digital copy much cheaper for me than the print copy which I have been buying for the past 4 or so years. Thanks for making this available..Version: 1.4.1

Best Recipes EverFirst off, these are the best recipes I've seen in any magazine. It's a huge selection in each issue; way more than other magazines that are filled with advertisements or other "fillers". The only possible complaint is that it doesn't have as many interactive features as other magazines but the videos that do exist are very useful and cover helpful basic cooking skills..Version: 1.4.0

AwesomeLove it. Can't wait for the Aussie version..Version: 1.4.4

Great! Best food magazine app.I love the magazine and the app is just good. This is my favorite food magazine app. The layout is really good and easy to use. Great price too..Version: 1.2.1

Good FoodHave been a fan of Good Food for many, many years - now this app allows me to get the issues when published even though I now live in Australia..Version: 1.4.2

Good foodWhat can I say other than fantastic looking forward to next one :).Version: 1.2.4

Great AppReally brilliant. Now we get to keep all those recipes portably and share with friends. Love the opening graphics too..Version: 1.2.1

ImpressiveI'm impressed with this app. It seems to me excellent. I have found some mistakes, however, which is why I didn't give it a five-star rating. But it's early days yet. My father told me 20 years ago that one day we'd be using a computer in the kitchen to find and read recipes. I didn't think he was right nor did I think it would be as good as this..Version: 1.3.1

Well worth itGreat value, fun to read, excellent recipes.Version: 1.2.4

ExcellentGreat magazine with great recipes each month, i used to buy it in the uk and i'm happy now i can read it after moving to canada..Version: 1.6.0

Good FoodExcellent magazine, I read it in my iPad mini..Version: 1.6.0

Great app!Hope to see more magazines do the same..Version: 1.2.1

Still Awaiting Log In CodesRead the reviews, viewed the first free edition and then Bought 6 month subscription for Ipad 2 through I Tunes. Got the first download no problems however I haven't received log in codes to download the2nd issue. Have emailed customer support got automated reply and another reply from "the emeil response team" telling me my email has been forwarded on. Will keep you posted. Second Edition has downloaded now, much happier. Visuals and content good, customer support slow..Version: 1.3.2

Good foodMy favorite magazine, I have been reading it since it first came out and have years of the magazine in my basement..Version: 1.4.4

Excellent, butLove the app. Excellent representation of the mag, but it would be really good to buy older editions at a reduced cost as a subscriber.Version: 1.4.3

Excellent designReally good app, well thought out and beautifully presented.Version: 1.5.0

BrilliantThis is an excellent magazine and I love being able to just open it on the ipad..Version: 1.6.0

Brilliant!Absolutely LOVE this magazine. I enjoy food and cooking and this is one of my favourite mags. I anxiously await each edition and cook many recipes from it. The recipes never fail..Version: 1.6.0

RubbishCannot download back issue I have paid for because there are no issues showing in the library.Version: 5.6.0

Good food magazineThe greatest food magazine and a brilliant app. Have tried others and always come back to yours. Keep up the excellent work!.Version: 1.4.1

Good Food.I reside in Canada and think this is an awesome magazine. Easy to use..Version: 1.3.1

NatalieAlmost as good as actually being able to buy here magazine itself!.Version: 1.4.4

MagaZineLove the variety of foods and easy directions to use magazine..Version: 1.4.1

Can there be a tech update in a future issue?Fiona the foodie again. Saw a comment about difficulty in loading the issues already bought onto a new iPad. This needs to get sorted, as I had to re-buy a couple of issues when I upgraded my operating system. How about a technical tips and tricks section in the app? This probably shows how much I love this app, do loads of others. The videos are just fabulous..Version: 1.4.4

WowVery nice app. A lot of work went into this. Very reasonable price for the mag. Impressed.Version: 1.1.0

Great food magazine!I'm a long-time subscriber to the print edition. As a US-based reader, this app is much easier and cheaper than a print sub..Version: 1.4.1

Good foodGreat little cooking magazine. I'm in the USA and don't see the mag here in the bookstores, I'm happy I can get it on my iPad!! Is great!!!!!! Love the app and love the magazine..Version: 1.4.4

Good Food is Great FoodI so enjoy this magazine. It is comprehensive and user friendly. I download it faithfully every month and shall continue to do so..Version: 1.3.1

What happened to my subscription?I subscribed and the issues will not download and instead I need to pay $5.99 for the magazine? Something is wrong with this app. Other than this, great app and content..Version: 1.3.1

Good food appGreat app loving it!!.Version: 1.4.4

Great app, roll on v2!Excellent app but version 2 now due hopefully with the following: Flagging recipes: I quickly scan each edition when newly available for the week/month ahead and it would be useful to flag recipes to review later. I know there is a bookmark feature but it is slightly cumbersome and needs to be full screen. Companion iPhone app: there has been many occasions when I am wondering around the supermarket and left my iPad in the trolley whilst I walked off to pick up ingredients. A companion iPhone app which could sync with, for example, the flagged recipes above would be so useful. I know you can email recipes but frankly emailing yourself is again cumbersome and anyway it is useful sometimes to review the recipe rather just seeing the ingredients. Integrated section browsing: I now have almost 2 years worth of issues and would find it useful to quickly browse the recipes of a particular section eg weekend from all issues rather than switching between each edition. Again there is the search feature but this is through a tiny pop-up menu and is not particularly user friendly. Looking forward to the next edition!.Version: 1.4.4

Good Food magazineAn excellent magazine. I have been subscribing for a number of years now and still find lots of recipes I want to try. It has changed my family's eating habits for the better and my husband enjoys cooking now. I have persuaded my Mum to take out a subscription. She is on her own but so many of the recipes can be frozen in portions, which is really useful. The calorie counter is great for helping me control my weight, whilst enjoying super tasty meals. The photos are excellent and make me want to try different meals, at the same time giving me an idea of how the finished item should look. I would say that 99% of the recipes have turned out brilliantly without any tweaking although other readers comments help to give ideas for variations. I have tried many of the vegetarian recipes even though I am not a vegetarian and have thoroughly enjoyed them. Even my carnivore husband has tried some and liked them too!.Version: 1.6.2
