✓ Great app. I use it a lot in my music practices.Being able to add marks to the audio waveform has proven to be very useful. Here’s another thing. I wonder if other users have found this. While learning a new song I become so familiar with the audio waveform scrolling across the screen that I can play the song while watching the audio waveform as if I was reading sheet music. I shut off the song’s audio but keep watching the audio waveform. It helps me with the timing as I play the song. I’m glad to learn that the paid version of the app has no tracking. I wish it was easier to understand the new tracking and privacy info on the App Store. I hope this feature evolves to give a better understanding..Version: 4.5.1

With dedicated mp3 teach tracks to my line (full mix, line enhanced, line only, line missing but with other 3 parts) learning a difficult song is made so much easier. ✓ A must have for working musiciansI am the bar band bassist and I need to learn covers from classic rock to modern pop. Seems the older the song, the more "unique" the tuning. I've learned songs completely wrong and then come back to the band and realize I was off by a half or whole step simply because "back in the day" bands tuned to each other and not to a standard tuning necessarily. This app allows you (with a total of $7 in purchases) to adjust pitch in incremental semitones allowing you to not have to retune your instrument for every single song. ✓ Great for dancersI’m a tap dancer, and this app is literally indispensable for my training and practice. There are so many pieces that would be absolutely out of reach for me if it hasn’t been for this app. It’s super easy to use and does what it says it does very well. Only improvement I could think of is to add the ability to scrub through a song on the lockdown (not just play/pause), but that’s fairly minor. I have it on my iPhone X and 5s — it crashes on the 5s now, which hampers me a little, but glad it still works on the X..Version: 4.4.4

✓ Great for learning languagesI was looking for a player that could bookmark and loop sections of language learning clips. This app is great. I can even slow it down if they’re talking too fast, or change the pitch if the narrators voice is annoying. I wish the interface was a little more intuitive or something though, I’m able to use it well with minimal need for help, but sometimes I have to look up how to do things. Nothing major though. The most annoying part of practicing is when you have everything nailed down, except this one specific part that is proving to be a little tricky. I don’t know how much time I have wasted just rewinding a little 4 second snippet, over and over again. It’s depressing just thinking about it. How much effort was wasted on that instead of actually practicing. You can also fine tune the loop to make sure it’s in tempo. ✓ Good but not greatDownloaded this app as substitute to using an excellent piece of software called transcribe! which is made for pc. This app is good in terms of looping and raising the pitch, however altering the speed creates horrible cut up sound and distortion. Transcribe did a much better job of changing speeds. ✓ Great for practising orchestra or other ensemble piecesI use this to great effect with an iRig Mic to record a rehearsal, and then export sections of the whole recording into files containing individual pieces. Then I add Audiomarks to these smaller files, to indicate significant Bar numbers, which I then use to mark the start and ends of loops that I need to practice most. It's like having a private orchestra at your command! The only criticism I have would be with managing Audiomarks, which at present have to be backed up manually by sending an email, rather than say, syncing with Dropbox. ✓ Students can dance to music that gradually speeds upFirst I can’t say enough great things about Tony in support because I couldn’t figure out how to use this feature. he was so patient over three emails and he even made an instructional video for me and that’s what did the trick. It’s really hard when you’re teaching dance to take the students through steps to a song without music and then throw them right into dancing at full speed when you turn on the music. This feature allows me to set an initial tempo at 80%, say, and then have the tempo gradually increase to 100% 30 seconds before the end of the music. I think this is going to make a world of difference especially for beginning line dancers! and I will certainly use it when I am learning new dances. ✓ This is pretty good!If you want an app to help practice music, this app has several features over it's peers: - It shows the song graphically (others like Practice lite, Tempo Magic, Tempo slow don't) - very useful when you want to skip to the chorus or big rock ending or whatever. - You can control the pitch AND tempo - The UI when playing a song is easier to use than practice light, and much more powerful than the Tempo apps - being able to quickly and easily set and remove loops, and SEE where you're setting them on the song graph is a killer feature. - It's free! And will play a whole song. I'm happy to look at a few banner ads. However for 5 stars myself Joe User would like the following fixed: - Much faster ipod search without caching the index (like all of Practice lite, Tempo Magic, Tempo slow). Caching is nightmarishly slow on this app and the other apps don't seem to need to do it? Why should this one? - Smoother better sounding playback when tempo is slowed by 20% or more (again Tempo Magic and Tempo slow do this better) If you're looking for a free app to practice music to, this is it though. ✓ Great practice toolSo far probably the best practice tool I've found for slowing down and looping segments in songs. I play banjo and it is immensely useful for slowing down breaks and backup. Easily browse your music library, pick a song and go to work. User interface is a bit overwhelming but they have useful tips that you can turn on to help direct you to do what you want. ✓ Excellent!This is the best app for looping sections of a tune for study on iPad iPod or iPhone. I have tried others but this has the best sound quality and precision of marker point placement. The waveform graphics, and UI showing both the looped selection and the whole piece, together with the play head make it easy to find, select and quick to set up for practice. The basic app includes simple tempo and pitch adjustment which is quite adequate for learning a tune and playing along. But reasonably priced in-app purchases allow the sound quality to be smoothed and equalised for extra clarity after processing. I like the fact that you can add to the sophistication of the app with add-on pro audio features ( in-app ) and again, the quality of those audio studio features make this a serious sound engineering tool that is dedicated to facilitating music practice. I’ll find a song I like and import it into the app. Then I can slow it down or isolate tough parts or put a segment on repeat so I can work on it repetitively. I’ve even imported a Technique Exercise CD so I can slow the exercises down and then speed up incrementally as I get better. I use Anytune in conjunction with Tonebridge. ✓ Fiddled OotI have used a software package on my laptop for a number of years to learn fiddle tunes - cost £30+ but has been excellent. Just about the only feature I use is to slow down and chunk up tunes. Fiddlers have a habit of playing at a rate of knots. I can go medium. Anyhoos, I booked myself onto the Shetland Fiddle Frenzy week. (week long fiddle marathon with workshops / concerts / sessions ...... ya need da stamina....!!) Didn't want to take laptop and iPad - so went huntin and came across anytune. For the money didn't have to many expectations. It has been fantastic for recording tunes during workshops played by the tutors (all amazin fiddlers in their own right). I have a good few months material to keep me busy. However - part of the gig is a concert where the students (of all abilities .... and i'm somewhere about middle) play on stage at the arts centre in Lerwick. Two tunes written by the two hosts of the week. There are 70ish fiddlers - so not too much pressure - but you want to make a decent fist of it) ... So pressure on to earn two tunes that just heard 5 days previous - with melody parts......and its a full on week so not a lot of spare time. I have to say Anytune saved my bacon .... few tricky bars to get your head around. and just to be able to play over and over till it sticks. (...and I don't read music very well - so rely on playing by ear). I have recommended to a few fellow wanabe fiddlers. up here. Suppose that says it all..Version: 3.8
