RetirePlan is an iPad app that helps you answer all your questions about your retirement. If you have questions about your retirement finances, this is the app to answer them.
When can I retire?
How much do I need to save every year?
How much money will I get every year in my retirement?
How long will my money hold out in my retirement?
In just a few seconds you can enter your data and assumptions and the graph will update to show you if your plan will work. If you have more time to spend you can enter as much detail as you want to refine your plan.
The sliders give you an easy way to see what different values will do to your plan. Need to enter a value outside the slider range? press the amount and a calculator will pop up to let you enter whatever number you need. The slider range will update automatically.
Bring up the spreadsheet to see all the details for every year of the plan.
Email your results.
Use the settings to add your spouse, include or remove Social Security, and show or hide inflation and interest rates.
Use the + button to add a pension, send a child to college, large upcoming expenses, add additional rates of return and retirement income assumptions.
include Tax assumptions to get an even more accurate picture of your future.

✓ So good I am buying extra scenarios just to pay the author.This app is excellent, and by far the best of it's type that I have come across. I have in fact used it to help me calculate out my savings and retirement income such that I cemented the confidence to retire 15 years early! Recent updates have added the ability to really stress some of the scenarios, like adding in a market crash and then vary rates of return as the market recovers, i.e. Just how the market works. As I say in my title, I have found this app so invaluable that I am going to buy some extra scenarios, not because I need them, but to reward the author with some income from the otherwise free app. £1.49 well spent! One development I would really like to see, if the author reads this, is to separate out savings and investments, so I could apply two different rates of return, and split my portfolio between these two. Until now I have had to assume things like a 4% market return, to take the average of savings v investments, and to input a 15% or 20% market crash when I really want to put 30 or 40%..Version: 1.15

It is highly helpful being able to see how much income can be removed when you are retired, and how long and how well you can make your money last. You can play with different scenarios, and I see nothing comparable in giving a person quick and easy ideas of how they can control there money, and when. ✗ Update destroyed appApp was just a tool and was useful. Latest update requires signing in and associated information with account. Data is stored in cloud which no matter what is said is a risk. Financial data should never be put in cloud that can be used in any way for analysis. As a former natwork engineer and familiar with firewalls and infrastructure keep what you can off the cloud. AI will eventually find a way to find it . Too bad they ruined the tool and updated it without my consent with no warning. That alone is a privacy violation. Give me my old tool back.. will look and see if they post this…..Version: 2.0.0
✗ New version is not goodPreviously this was a great app and very easy to use. However there’s been a recent update that makes it clunky and significantly more difficult to input data. Also prompts to “create an account” when you never needed to do this before. Deleted the app after having had it for a couple years or so. Sad..Version: 2.0.0
