Although Camp and RV has a "tent" filter for this same data, you may not ever need RV stuff. This app shows only places that take tents. Even boat and hike-in ones. Camp & RV has more than 4 times the points of this app because it has both tent camps and stuff tenters may not need. The other app has RV only parks, truck stops, rest stops, RV dealers, low clearances, parking lots and much more.

-CAMP & TENT HAS 2 MODES:

-Map view: uses GPS and maps to plot up to 150 points at a time. Starting from your current location, you can zoom out and in or jump to anywhere in the USA and Canada. This mode shows everything. Filter the map to view only what you want: KOA, Forests, BLM, or maybe REI stores.

-City lookup: View text info by state and city. Only looking for State Parks? Find them without internet service!

✓ RonI ride my Harley about 60,000 miles a year; always camping. Rode through 49 states, 9 provinces & one territory. This app makes all this a breeze & is easilly worth 10 times the price. All the info is right there even if cellular isn't, is always accurate & when I found one case where it wasn't I dropped an email & it was fixed next update. I don't see how you could make this better but if I think of something, I bet they'll be listening. This thing is a gem & I won't ride without it..HD........Version: 2.4.2

✓ Good reference guide, design and experience lackingThe info in this app is very handy and useful, but the implementation can often be frustrating. Zoom levels are not remembered, there is no bookmarking and no in-app browser for all the links you'll eventually need to follow to get any real info for specific campgrounds. Which means a lot of repeating actions when going back and forth from this app to a web browser or map app to do any research. Still, it's useful for what info it provides and not much else as far as competition. It works and does the trick, but with a bit of attention could be much better..GcoghillVersion: 3.2

✗ OkayThis app has helped me with my road trip across America, but DO NOT rely on it, it has said there has been tenting available when there hasn't and on two occasions I followed addresses for parks and have ended up either in a city or on one occasion in a business park, it does have a lot listed so I've always found somewhere to stay further on but it's frustrating when you have planed and budgeted thinking you know where you'll be sleeping..Radders2Version: 2.0

✗ Needs More Campgrounds ListedI like the way this app operates. It's easy to use and gives the useful details about any campground. But that's where there's a problem; this app doesn't list enough campgrounds. I've traveled across the United States and stayed primarily at campgrounds. I'd say only 70% of the ones were listed on this app. That's significant since I've missed out on some very nice campgrounds. If they ever get to listing 90% or better then I'd give a better rating..Blastaar25Version: 2.4.2
