✓ Good when it worksI never write reviews! But I felt the need to review this app. It’s a good app when it decides its going to work properly! It allows you to makes changes to you character, check achievements, link in with clan members etc. So for me it’s a good app when it works.... but I’ve found that since having this app it occasionally doesn’t even work, it doesn’t load up content at all which means when you’re trying to organise events with your clan that all gets put on hold because you can no longer communicate with your clan members and so thank god the app was free. I would suggest that improvements need to be made regarding the reliability of this app. All in all worth a punt if you’re a big Destiny fan but don’t be disappointed if you’re experience isn’t a good one when using this hit n miss app.Version: 5.1.3
✓ Terrible!!I used this app a couple years ago and it was fantastic, we uploaded it and it will not sign into my actual Bungie account, it forced me to create a new one and now I have no idea how to connect my actual Bungie account to this app making it useless.Version: 6.6.3
✓ Won’t even let me sign inI’ve used the app in the past and it worked great. But now for some reason, I cannot sign in at all, after selecting the platform I play on (Xbox) it doesn’t even prompt me to enter any information, it just simply states that I cannot sign in due to an error with my Microsoft account. My Microsoft account does not say there are any issues, security or otherwise. I can also sign in on the website just fine, but the app literally does not give me the ability to enter any account information. I have tried deleting the app and all of its data, and cleared the cache and cookies on my browser, but it does the same thing every time. 1 star until the app is usable for me..Version: 6.3.1
✓ OK....but can you some looking afterSo I’ve been using this app for quite some time. And for a long time it has been quite reliable.... that being said. This app has a very bad habit of getting buggy sometimes. Like for instance whenever the Destiny servers go down the app goes down too. which isn’t the problem. The problem is that for three days the Destiny servers have been up but this app has completely gone down. Now I’ve closed it completely and restarted it and that didn’t work....I keep checking the App Store for any updates which there is none. I can handle an app not working most of the time but not when it’s in conjunction with gaming!... Being able to transfer items on the fly is crucial for players who don’t have time to go to different characters and have to transfer it one at a time..Version: 5.9.4
✓ Bring back character raid areas/rewards icon please!The app has improved in certain aspects. I think it needs to have the old options of telling you what parts your character has done for the raid instead of just saying if you have or haven't. In other words I ran the raid but switched at the end boss to another character and now just cause I beat the raid end boss on one character it doesn't tell me that I could still receive other power weapons/armor for the other parts of the raid that I've done. But it says that I haven't completed the raid on my one character that I won't receive any of those rewards until I beat the end boss on just that character. ✓ Can’t log inI’ve been a big supporter of Destiny since the very beginning. I’ve been using this app since it came out. I lost interest in D2 about a year ago and wasn’t until recently that I started to get into it. Well, I deleted the app the first time. I was able to log in very easily. However, since I redos loaded it, I can’t even log in anymore. I tried to log in through Steam and it said that my log in info was incorrect. It was correct and I even spent some time to make sure I was hitting the right keys and everything. Then I tried to log in through PSN. I put in my info and it said that it can’t connect to the server. I’ve been trying to log in for over a month and every day I get the exact same responses. I put in the right info for both, I have them connected so I can log in with either. Yet I’m still not even able to log in. I want to find people to do raids and strikes yet I can’t..Version: 6.3.1

✓ It WorksThe app works but not quite always. I’m not a complainer of bugs typically but this app crashes on my IPhone 6s Plus often with iOS 11.0.1. All I really want is the ability to view Crucible matches again. It was nice being able to look back at my progress or take a screenshot of a particularly good kill count. On the companion app for Destiny 1, it helped me identify when I performed most poorly and when I performed at my best. So far, visually I’ve been trying to sell myself on the app but to me, it comes off as very busy and crowded. The app does what I need it to do in regards to clan management but I do not to have it open otherwise. I’d like to be using it more but I don’t see a need at the time..Version: 5.1.5
✓ Very slow post update (2022)I love this app as well as Ishtar, great independent apps that make the game enjoyable and connect me to other players. ✓ Destiny problemThey have a problem with Xbox not being able to connect been playing for years now I have to start all over with another gamer tag just to be able to play so all those pinnacle weapons that took forever to get are all gone have to start new. So I am a big time Xbox person and the fix bungie says is to get another platform and use cross save or whatever it is called to play. Bungie says they are working on a fix. After some research I found that they have had this problem since at least 2017. Maybe longer. Outside of this issue I love the game or I would not have played since day one destiny is a good game and I really hate the fact that I have lost all the years I have invested in the game..Version: 5.10.2
✓ Rubbish! Why I can't change the app language?It's almost impossible to find the fire team for nightfall or raid! ✓ Some functions not available anymoreThe app as such is really nice and has some cool features that no other third party app can do. I upgraded my iPhone recently and had to notice sadly that certain features aren't working properly anymore. Switching mods in armor 2.0 or switching shaders on weapons and armor as well. It seems to be an error with the API although I gave my phone and the app on prompt permission to allow the changes being made. Otherwise, great app..Version: 5.10.1

✓ Frustrating To UseI tell people to get the app all the time as it does have its uses for swapping gear between characters but it becomes increasingly unintuitive when trying to find something in particular. Why cant the vault sort button….actually sort all of the same weapons together…. by name? E.g - I tried all the sort options and not one of them will group all my Fatebringers together. And why does looking at the details for a weapon make me have to return to the vault to have to find the set of weapons I was looking at in the first place? Im no coder but these are genuine QoL improvements that would make the system more intuitive and fluid. Instead of making people use third party apps that have their own flaws..Version: 6.7.0
✓ So broken atmIt’s an absolute joke. It takes me about 5 minutes to move 1 weapon to a different character. It either times out and can’t move it, or after a long wait, gets returned to the original character it was on. If I’m really lucky, it goes to the vault and I then have to search for it. Seriously annoyed with it. The way it is going, it will be quicker to manually go back and forth to the vault on alt characters. Just to be really annoying too, whenever I move a weapon (or attempt to) it triggers lost sector triumphs on the bottom of my character screen! Whole app needs chucking in the bin and redoing. ✓ Lots of time organising gear and picking up quests means less time playing the game.The game is fun for pvp and pve and there is a social side in clans if you like that. I’m a very casual player, so if you only have less than one hour for brainless fun, the one frustration is the time every game to pick up quests (read - rocket flying screen for 5 minutes to go to a base that you didn’t actually leave, to get the quests from an NPC). The non-playing time spent is the downside. I really like the pvp in crucible, it’s fun and the pve and storyline with scenes is excellent..Version: 5.10.2

✓ It’s okay.For the most part the app does work. I’ve been using the app for about a year now and it let me easily and conveniently manage my gear. However, today was the first day that I’ve had a true problem with the app. After 100+ transfers, I had a piece of gear become permanently deleted. I believe the reason for this loss was due to me infusing that gear right before I tried to transfer it. After I hit transfer on the app, I noticed that the gear was still showing the previous power level. Now I know that this doesn’t happen very often but because I know that it can and that it did, I will not be using the app in the future. I’d rather just take the extra time to ensure that my gear makes its way to its final destination safely..Version: 5.10.3
✓ So UnreliableThis app has so many problems that I don’t even know where to start. It’s so unreliable to use for checking new content, articles in the “This Week At Bungie” update feed, sometimes I can’t even check my messages and transferring gear is so bad, I often have to do it manually through the game, which means having to log in and out of all my characters and transfer things to and from the vault. This takes up so much time and sometimes it just doesn’t feel worth it! The app is so glitchy and unreliable I have switched to Ishtar Commander for easy transfers. The only thing available in the app is clan chat and the clan I’m in doesn’t even use it, we use and app called Band, which is more comprehensive, interactive and organised. The Destiny 2 companion doesn’t even give you proper notifications as messages are being sent. I had no idea I had messaged for two days until I manually checked the app itself. Alongside the short story lines, expensive DLC and microtransactions, I feel like Destiny isn’t as good as it used to be..Version: 5.5.0

✓ Still useful, but doesn’t seem testedI’ve been enjoying this app with only minor complaints since it came out with D1. Well, I didn’t really use it until they allowed weapon swaps through the app. So, maybe major before that. This recent update made something as simple as checking your collection to see what you were missing a pain. If you select any item in the collection, then it will show you that item and reset you all the way back to the main screen. May seem small, but just shows the lack of intention. 5/28 - Update I was advised by developer response that this is being corrected. No change, yet. The app has also lost the ability to equip items, due to some players using a cheat that allows faster leveling. Instead of issuing 1-7 day bans and letting the community know that this won’t be tolerated and allowing the rest of us the ability to use the app as intended, Bungie decided to disable it for all. Unfortunately, this seems to be the standard reply when an issue is found that they want to fix..Version: 5.5.0

✓ Neat idea, poor executionThe interface to be direct looks cheap. It has the appearance of something a multi million dollar company would have no part in. Pairing with random fire team players is impossible to understand? I have people in my fire team on the app but not in the game? Why am I not able to directly invite fire team members from the app to the game on Xbox? The app asks which platform and gamertag I am using. The functions of selecting your equipment through the app seems null considering I would have to look away from the screen during play to swap equipment, but I must admit it’s neat. The 3D beta for viewing your equipment gives one the impression of a project that will never be finished. All in all the app seems irrelevant if for nothing other than to show your friends your new exotics.Version: 5.1.7
✓ Sorting & New ContentGenerally this app works as intended, allowing the user to transfer items remotely from character to vault and between characters. However, item sorting in the vault is not ideal. It would be great if, when sorting by type, items would be displayed by type, e.g., shotguns, pulse rifles, etc.; and then by category, e.g., weapons, vehicles, items, shaders, etc., similar to the way items are sorted in the game. This would make quickly adjusting inventory items on-the-fly, say during a loading screen, much faster, with items easier to find. Regarding new content, all the icons are blank. Will icons be developed for Black Armory weapons and items in the future? I hope so..Version: 5.6.7
✓ User Interface Issues & Missing InfoThe user interface of this app is definitely lacking. Example: When I get notifications about Clan Chat messages and click on the notification, I'm not taken to Clan Chat where the message came in. I've had to figure out on my own that I must manually go to Clan Chat to see where the notification was coming from. That should be mobile app UI 101. Especially when Bungie's promoting D2's clan oriented features to encourage cooperative play. Same applies to all other features of the app, like LFG. The other issue I'm seeing is that Bungie took out very useful PvP statistics we used to have in the Destiny 1 companion app version. Now I have to resort to 3rd party web apps to find this info; and that's clearly not as ideal as to what Bungie already offered in the old version of their companion app. So if new Clan features aren't really all that ideal to begin with, why did they get rid of old functionality that did work and was actually useful?.Version: 5.1.6

✓ Takes timeThe app is very useful and great to check stats for multiple things on the fly but it takes about 30 seconds to a minuet to accept bounties after having already accepted 5-10 of them, the app also lets you look at your weapons in a 3D model and despite being able to move the weapon around/zoom in and out whilst on this screen in the app, the app is incapable of rendering details/shaders on so many weapons it feels like a wasted chance to showcase some amazing looks on a lot of guns, You can do better so you should..Version: 6.8.0
✓ Unusable appJust as the title says, this app is completely unusable on my phone. What I mean by this is that I can open it, click on my preferred login, go through the login process, and then am sent back to the login screen every single time. No matter what I do, this app does not want to let me connect with my bungie account. I have reinstalled it, removed my steam guard to try it that way, have restarted my phone etc. Nothing seems to allow it to work, and the worst part is that I cannot find any way to contact Bungie for support on this issue. ✓ 2 stars only bc of clan issues please fix!I've had destiny 2 since launch and since launch I have not been able to access my clans page on the app to do clan chat, edit the clan and edit the banners, everytime I click on the clans part it says for me to create a clan which I already have obviously and t won't let me do anything! ✓ App is a good idea but buggyI’ve used this app for ages and found it really good to use, until recently. I’ve had to sort the app out multiple times to use the fire-team section. ✓ Won’t sign me inI tried to sign into my steam account and when you do that it asks you if you ever have made an account in the past and if you only have 1 account you have no choice but to press ‘yes I have made an account in the past’ which actually means to link another account to your account you just signed in to, so I tried to link my Xbox one account to it and it didn’t. Anyway, why can’t you just sign into your steam account, and boom, you can check your stuff and stats rather than having to be forced to link another account. ITS JUST STUPID..Version: 5.9.10
✓ Lots of disappointmentsHello, I’ve been playing since the launch of D1. I have to say i was really looking forward to D2 when it first came out. Wasn’t what i or many others expected but i went with it for a time. But that time was short so i went back to playing D1 and was really enjoying finding friends through this app...but of course the recruitment option for D1 friends was forever gone and now I’ve completely given up on this whole franchise. That was the one thing i looked forward to. Finding raid groups was very simple but now it's completely impossible. Haven’t been playing as much as i use to. Play every little now a days and it’s not even on D2. I hope this app brings back the feature of recruiting D1 friends again. ✓ Convoluted, lacking UI structure/UX pathway clarity.This app, as with the games lacks a user friendly sharing of accessibility through intuitive information and clarity of layout with regards the UI(user interface), resulting in a circular pathway, when trying to locate info. on how to resolve issues, bugs and crashes - my best guess would be they lack capability to communicate with their customers in an effective manner, so this seems like a band-aid over a hole in a cracked dam. Needs work, trouble is, it’s been pending from the start - was never really planned for as I figure it was added as an aid but not seen as important enough in the early days as needing the development it needs now. Due a ground up rebuild, just don’t see it happening, because it’s too big a job now to be worthwhile. ✓ HorribleItem sorting is random and the search function doesn’t work. it sorts stuff the most random way possible and makes it so much harder to transfer and view perks of weapons/ armor than just goi g to the tower. for example: going in to look for heavy /power weapons is basically impossible as a new player because unless you know exactly what the gun is called you have to scroll through everything because it’s not in any specific order and even if you have 2-3 of the same gun they are not grouped together. they will have 10-15 weapons between them.... even if it’s the same gun with the same perks they will be in 2 completely differ t spots. if the weapons were inAlphabetical order by weapon type primary / energy / heavy .. that alone would improve the app 10 fold..Version: 6.0.1
✓ Lacking Compared to BeforeThis app has its uses though I find it lacking compared to how it used to work for Destiny 1. You can not view your entire guardian as a 3D model, just separate weapons and armour. Generally feels cluttered as well. Needs polish and hopefully original features to make a return.Version: 5.1.2

✓ FireteamSo I just got the app and at first it was working just fine and I was able to get my clan members together and meet new people so we could also enjoy the game but then when I tried to make fireteams with people as the time went on the app started to get a little buggy it wouldn’t let me send invites to people and I looked up how to fix the issue ( I haven’t mentioned that I’m a PS4 player) that I need to have my settings set to anyone and something else I believe it still didn’t work so now I can’t use the app for the purpose of working with new people so we can play and do other activities like raids and crucible together, and so it kinda hinders the purpose of me using the app to play the game..Version: 6.0.1
✓ Have never played a game with so many mistakes.Melee will register as “hit” though no damage goes through. There are guns that simply should not be in the game. Not just by my personal views by surely by the player base as a whole. Maps have unnecessary garbage around. Not as textures but random small items on the floor/walls etc that will inconveniently hinder movement though does not add anything to gameplay itself. Another big problem other than the melee not registering any damage is even the weapons themselves. Either the damage doesn’t go through at all or is delayed.
