If only it allowed multi currencies in the app (like it does in the desktop version) I would score it a 5 - esp as the main time I am entering foreign currency expenses is when I am away from my desktop! ✓ Good for basic bookkeepingI've been using Kashoo for over a year and have few complaints. It's easy to add new entries of income and expenses. Viewing items according to category is helpful and simple to navigate. The new receipt uploading feature is a huge plus, although I still upload a duplicate to Dropbox, because I don't trust that Kashoo will be around in five years if I need a copy of a receipt. It would be nice if there was a way to automatically link receipts to Dropbox or something similar to put them all in the same place in the Cloud. Update:Two issues that need to be corrected: when creating a new invoice, inputting the price resets to $0 unless you do it AFTER you input the payment amount. Also, I just noticed a duplicate invoice (that I did not intentionally create) so deleted one of them. The result was that both entries were deleted and the copy of the uploaded receipt was lost...so as it turns out, saving a copy of receipts to Dropbox is a good idea..Version: 2.2
✓ Fabulous for small businessI looked around at PeachTree and other accounting software; way too complex. Kashoo is exactly what I was looking for.. loved the 30 day trial so much I purchashed! It's been so easy to enter data; very user friendly and great reports! I've recommended to several friends who have started small home-based business. Definitely try the 30 day trial!! ✓ WOWThis is the best app I ever downloded... Seriously... I'm quite dumb in the accounting area and have been trying to understand quickbooks for years without any success... I don't have many transactions per month so paying someone to do the books is really a waste for me, but it was what I had to do unil now... Downloaded the app, signed up for the trial and started the company from january ... Dowloaded bak statements and started reconciling...now 2 days later everything is done and matching with the balance sheets the accountant sent me... For me that have no knowledge of accounting ..it's like magic Very easy to use, great pricing and the best cstomer service.. I really like Kashoo's online accounting and their new app makes it that much more accessible. ✓ Virtual AccountingI was looking for an accounting program that my bookkeeper in another state could enter transactions into, while also giving me the ability to view and edit my transactions on my iPad. I've tried Quickbooks online (app and software was weak, buggy, over priced). I loved PocketMoney on my iPad but it had serious issues syncing. Kashoo is elegantly designed and intuitive to use for non-accountants. It syncs very well so far. I had a great experience with support on questions about first time set-up. I wasn't in the market for it, but I discovered that Kashoo is a whiz at financial statements. I was so excited to generate P&L and balance sheet statements so painlessly. It's the only software I've found on my research that combines virtual sync capabilities, great iPad app interface, friendly user interface and a powerful array of reports..Version: 1.2

✓ Nice app, good interface, only a few bugsThis is a great accounting app for small businesses. As I started using an iPad as my main computer now this app is indispensable. I've entered a years worth of accounting and it works well. I haven't had problems with crashing like other reviews. There are some bugs, mainly with entering invoices, and the way the income shows in other accounts. But they can be fixed by going into the the web interface. I much prefer the app interface and dashboard over the web version. There are some functions like clearing available on the web version that would be nice to have in the app. Overall a very nice app with a good interface with only a few bugs..Version: 1.2

✓ Better than Quickbooks online by farI used this software a couple years ago but everytime they updated it it got buggier. I switched to quickbooks online because i use a tablet and phone to do my accounting. With quickbooks i had to use certain browsers, i couldn't print checks unless i logged into my computer and it was quite a chore when you tried to view your aged receivables and payables. I switched back to Kashoo and integrated payroll evolution into it. Everything is where it is supposed to be. Seems like the bugs have been fixed. So happy to be back..Version: 4.5

✓ A brilliant app for a small businessThis app took about a day for me to learn and And figure out. It's very simplistic with some advanced features. Being able to invoice and add expenses to multiple accounts with very few clicks is brilliant and extremely time saving! The option to view and generate reports at a touch of a button is great and the graphical view is easy on the eye and looks appealing unlike lots of other applications. IT'S FREE! I'm sure if I need the extra features I will be paying for this shortly, I am just wanting to test it for a little bit longer. ✓ Accounting simplified!I have used Quickbooks in the past, and vowed I would never do my own accounting ever again. That is until I found Kashoo. I use FreshBooks for invoicing, and when I saw Kashoo integrates FB invoices, I was intrigued. Boy was I shocked at how easy Kashoo was to use. I understand accounting from a pedestrian standpoint, but seeing instantly which accounts are affected when you enter a transaction is extremely helpful. Also when you mess up, you can go back and correct the mistake. I remember in QB you had to void out data...major hassle. Bonus points go for cloud storage. No worrying about lost data. Now about the iPad app...I LOVE it! It gives you amazing visual detail of the info you enter in on the desktop site. It also allows you to create and edit invoices, email them out, and record all the transactions you would see on your dashboard. Kashoo has been an excellent way for us to keep records for our CPA to manage our Schedule F on the tax return. I agree this is a simpler program than others. ✓ Great product, even better supportI am a small business owner and try to do my own bookkeeping. We are a Mac/iPad based business and were very disappointed with the Mac and other online offerings from Intuit. They were expensive and Quickbooks Mac is just, well... sad. I was looking for an easy to use solution that was iPad friendly and came across Kashoo. I have been very happy with the app and even happier with the support. They always return questions on the same day and even answer my incredibly dumb ones quickly and efficiently. The app itself is a joy. Being able to take pictures of receipts and invoices and attach them to specific transactions has virtually eliminated a paperwork. ✓ Very useful packageI very rarely give five stars but... this is not far off. Simple setup but the odd glitch along the way. Some bugs have been fixed which have improved reports,graphs etc. Program is relatively intuitive but a few not so clear processes that if you are used to another program might worry, but trial and error easily sorted. Only worry at this stage is that the 'free' tag suddenly doesn't become free anymore with some sort of 'small print' useby date. I love the sync option, but my PNC bank does not allow for it, so I do only one extra step to input my monthly statements. I've been using QuickBooks a long time and I think it is probably a better choice than QuickBooks for a small company with a few employees/no employees. however, I still wanted to cancel this subscription because I'm committed to using QuickBooks for the next six months. here's where it gets good! The team at kashoo walked me through getting into my iPhone and canceling the Kashoo subscription I had initiated through the App Store. so I am really impressed that they took the time to help me stop payment to them during my free trial! also, on the program itself I had some questions. They emailed me answers within 24 hours which I think is pretty good. ✓ Works for Airbnb hostsI use this to track the income, expenditure and tax requirements of having two Airbnb properties. In Australia, we need to do quarterly statements for our goods and services tax and it is much easier to have everything logged on this rather than using Excel. This app does it brilliantly, and from it one can easily see the income, expenses and breakdown of where the money has been allocated. Printing profit and loss statements is great as well, to see how things are progressing. Fairly simple for us non-accountant types to understand, and importantly has integration with Freshbooks available as an add-on (although you have to have a paid subscription to use it). A big thank you to the developers. But, it crashes every time i try to email an invoice. The developers claim it to be memory related, but I'm not buying it. The app is able to generate the invoice in preview but somehow struggles to send it via email? It's a great app, but needs a few bugs fixed still. ✓ Free and Good!I needed a simple way to keep track of expenses for a non-profit organization and Kashoo is so amazing. All the books are perfect and I can show reports on the overhead projector with ease. The tax area is awesome allowing Quebec compound taxes and to add or subtract at the transaction is a great feature. I am still using the free version and considering upgrading. So far the best and easy to use accounting app that I found for the iPad. The Web version is also great and very easy to use. The only flaw- which is kind of a big deal for my use, is that there is no date to and from selection when viewing the invoices and or payables... ✓ Make the switchI own 2 companies w employees in different parts of the country. Until recently we struggled w Quikbooks. I'm an avid Apple user and hated QB's lack of support for the Mac version. I even bought the Windows version and Paralells just to run QB. This was an expensive mistake. When I found Kashoo it was still very new. I was clumsy at first in using it but soon found that it more than met our business needs. Technical support has been wonderful and seems to genuinely care about customer satisfaction. It took a couple of months to transfer all records to Kashoo, and it is still a little slower in data entry features but the structure is sound and does what it is supposed to do. I recommend it over QB after having used that non-intuitive Intuit product for over 11 years. No regrets. My instincts tell me that it will continue to get better over time..Version: 1.1.1

✓ Great software with a few usability issuesLove that I can take photos of receipts with my phone! I've had no issues getting things to sync across my phone & desktop as another has reported. It's great for my small business and I can log my spending and categorize it as I go. Would be nice to have a way to create my own categories when I log my expenses. If it's there I can't figure out how to do it. Overall, it's a really complex system that's relatively simple to learn how to use on all platforms with not too many friction points.
