Calorie Counter + for Positive User Reviews

So far so goodTrialling this app as a potential replacement to My Fitness Pal. So far so good, once you get used to the differences between the two apps and great to use an app that is more U.K. focused. There is one thing that would be great to have in the app, especially for diabetics, and that’s the ability to log the time for each meal. This is important for diabetics who need to track their carb intake against their blood sugar levels and medication. I have to add my carb intake to my blood sugar app and the log the time to see how a meal affects my blood sugar, so if I don’t do it as soon as I log my meal in this app then there is no time stamp for me to refer back to. Also, as there is no time stamp, the carb intake that gets copied to the apple health app spreads your carb intake across the whole day rather than logging at the actual time you take in the carbs. For example, if I have 24g of carbs in one day, this appears as 1g of carbs every hour for that day rather than showing the exact time I had actually took in the carbs..Version: 8.9.1

10/10 recommendThis is an amazing app and I love it!!!! I love this app because it is very easy to track calories. It gives you a way to be able to scan the barcode of items so that you don’t have to look it up. But there is that option two if you would like to look it up! It also shows you out of everything that you’ve eaten what things are high calories and what things are low calories so that in the future you can plan to eat the lower calorie things. This app also shows you all the nutrition facts about the item/food that you’re eating, Whether it’s calories, sodium, fat, sugar, etc. when you start the app you put in your weight and then you put in the weight that you would like to be and then it sets you on a plan. so it tells you how many calories you should eat each day and how much you should exercise and how many calories you should burn from exercising. There’s also a place where you can see how many calories you have had that day and how many more you need to eat. For the exercising part I love it. You just put in what you did that day and for how long you did it for and it will take the calories off for what you’ve burned. There’s also a section where you can support one another you can put a comment in the section and people will come back and give you advice or give you encouragement it’s really great. There’s so much more on the app that I haven’t even explored. If you are wanting to get on this app I will tell you good luck in you can do it!!!!😀.Version: 8.8.1

Need notesI started this app last week. I love it. Easy to use and add items, but really most items are already on the list. One suggestion is, when I print my daily pages, the notes do not print. Right now I am adding the notes by hand, but it would be really great if that info would print on the page. Thanks. Keep up the good work..Version: 8.4.1

Not quite good enough to switch.Wanted to try this app as an alternative to Myfitnesspal. Found it very useful to be able to track UK based foods rather than trawl through american brands also great to see options for setting goals and badge icon for remaining daily Kcals. I’ve purposely not given 5 stars based on two improvements i’d need to see before i’d consider a paid alternative to the free myfitnesspal. Firstly, the ability to create my own meal headings e.g post-workout or afternoon snack rather than just lumping any extra meals into ‘snacks’. Secondly when creating recipes using a barcode search will find the item but then not give the option to add it as an ingredient to the recipe which was really annoying. Also i’d love to designate a supermarket as my normal shop so their options come up first. Implement these changes and i’d happily switch, until then i’ll stick to the free myfitnesspal app..Version: 5.0.4

So easy to useThis is so user friendly! So easy to use! I love the barcode scanner, only have to wave your phone over and it picks it up straight away, no taking of photos! Doesn’t recognise some wines, but probably a good thing! I didn’t realise at first you had to pay after a 7 day trial but the trial has absolutely convinced me it’s worth the £4per month. It helps keep me on track and monitor what i am eating and what exercise I am doing too! Oh and links to your phone or Fitbit, so syncs up and takes the fitness data from there so you don’t need add it in! I like the monitoring of other intakes such as carbs, fat protein etc, it tells you your stats for the week total so you can monitor this and make adjustments as and when, I like that it gives you the big picture. There’s loads more I can say, it’s just great!.Version: 6.2.2

Only app I need for my dietUsed this app a long time ago and it really helped me lose weight. It has a good database of UK ingredients and useful features but isn't cluttered with info/functions that I don't want. I like that its relatively simple: I can record my food/nutrition and exercise, easily save my own recipes or quickly search ingredients. I feel in control of the App, using it as a diary, adding just the info I want. I know how to lose weight, so this App helps me to take responsibility for my food intake, reduce snacking, eat more fruit/veg, watch my fluid intake and motivates me to exercise. Sadly since lockdown/WFH I've put on some weight again so I've re-downloaded the App and subscribed again; its definitely worth it for me, if just as a wake-up call to how snacks/drinks can add up in calories! As a last note; I had a minor issue renewing my membership after the long break and customer services were excellent..Version: 9.19.0

Great App, but just a few tweaks and it would be even better!I’ve moved to this app from MyFitnessPal as it was more UK based. The app itself is great, there’s lots of options to track eating out which can always be an effort, and UK based measurements makes things much easier. My only two negatives are it’s not very easy when using it alongside someone else. For instance, my partner cooks and we both like to track, but in order for me to input the same meal, he has to save it in his meals, airdrop it, then I go into my meals and add it. And sometimes I don’t want a million and one random meals in ‘My meals’. Also MFP allowed you to make one meal and simply add how many servings it made (e.g Lasagna - 4 servings”. If you fancied this for dinner you simply have to add in and say ‘one serving’ and it will work it out for you. This app will let you add ‘a meal’ but it wants you to either enter the entire recipe (for the 4 portions) or go in and work out what 1/4 would be. Also if you make a dinner and want a portion for leftovers the day after, you can’t copy a “Dinner” to a “Lunch”. Only another Dinner slot, which means you have to add it to ‘Saved Meals’ etc which is a lot of effort when I simply want to scan and cook and preempt the next days lunch. Like I say, good app but a few tweaks needed to say it’s paid!.Version: 8.4.2

Use with garmin connect..........brilliant!This is an outstanding app! If you have garmin connect on an iPhone it’s brilliant, you do need to go into apple health and switch off the option that allows nutracheck to read active calories because for some reason if it’s on, every time you sync your watch with garmin connect it duplicates workouts on apple health and adds them to active calories on nutracheck which makes you look like you have a load of extra calories to eat for that day, switch it off and it works amazingly well, this is a problem with garmin connect and apple health nothing to do with this app I’d like to make that clear, when I noticed the problem I emailed nutracheck and had a response straight away and was extremely helpful and helped me to find and fix the problem. Now it works brilliantly, syncs perfectly and is so easy to navigate and use with all the information you want and need to help you achieve what you want to achieve right there to see, detailed but easy to digest........couldn’t recommend any more..Version: 7.9.1

Best weight loss AppLoving this app! After trying so many different apps to track my foods it just became boring and I just loss interest! But this is the best food logging app I’ve found and I love it! IT’s everything I need and easy to follow! My daughter and I are both using this app and can’t wait to see our future results! Thanks for making this a reality and fun way to lose weight and feel good about it!.Version: 10.0.2

Best app everI never write reviews, but as a young man who is just going down the road of really getting at it In the fitness world I have to say that this app has been nothing but amazing ! It’s hard to keep track of your nutritional intake but this app makes it 99% easier 10/10 recommend!.Version: 10.3.0

Great but link more AppsI do like this app, I use it everyday to count my calories, add recipes and the fact it calculates my exercise and automatically adds on extra calories BUT… it’s not great when it comes to apps, yes you can add apple watches, fitbits and garmin but free apps like MapMyWalk or Strava are a no no. This doesn’t help when it comes to cycling for example. Yes you can add your average speed but it calculates your calories based on how long you cycle for within that speed range which can be 0-10mph. I could therefore ride for 2 hours and hardly move and burn a load of calories when in fact I’ve done hardly anything. If the app was linked it would give a more accurate reading and calorie figure. I know this can be added manually but come on that just becomes inconvenient. I also enjoy the forums, everyone is super friendly and really supportive and there is no end of knowledge out there when it comes to using this app. Happy I’ve got it and will continue to use it because it has given me the tools to change what I eat, monitor what I eat and allow me to eat what I want without restricting myself like diets do..Version: 9.12.0

Amazing! There could not be enough space to write the favorable review this app deserves! By comparison to other apps (not just nutrition apps) this app is the Gold Standard. It is ingeniously thought out and extraordinarily intuitive to use. The useful practicality it brings to those interested in monitoring their daily diet is immeasurable. It provides totally useful, accurate input and is all but infinitely editable. The UI is clean, brilliantly laid out and easy to customize. Web access to your mobile data is accumulative and offers even more insight and control over content. As they say “I could write a book.” Suffice it to say, If you care about how diet affects your health, then download it, upgrade it and use it. You can’t miss with this one. Alas, if only the NutraCheck team could have designed the Apple Health app..Version: 8.1.1

The BestCalorie Counter may be the first food monitoring app that is very easy to use. I am actually doing it! I have tried so many of them. With just a few clicks, you can choose the food, the amount, and log it. I couldn’t find a particular food on the app, so I contacted customer service. Not only did they find it for me, they got back to me with the answer in a very short time. I got the sense there was a real person answering too. I went ahead and bought a year’s’ subscription, which is a great deal. Highly recommended..Version: 9.0.1

Excellent trackerBeen using this app for about a week now. I have used other trackers in the past and they’re not as easy to log food (since I log constantly) and some were 3x the price for a lot of functions I didn’t use. I love this app - it’s no nonsense, accommodates a lot of options and situations and is CONVENIENT to use..Version: 9.21.1

Apple Watch IssueHello! In regards to workouts on Apple Watch how do I disable it so information does not show on daily page? I’ve unchecked it, but information is still showing on daily, but it is greeted out so it’s not adding the calories to total, which is good. Unfortunately, the information when I do have it activated is throwing calories off as it’s not only adding workout calories, but total calories. I believe your app already takes into consideration my daily activity level, since I choose it when setting up app. Another issue with it is when I add an exercise to app, it adds to Apple Watch activity. In other words, if I worked out for an hour through workout on watch and then I added a workout on your app of 30 min, my watch now shows 90 min of workout activity, which completely throws off exercise goal. I’m only manually entering on your app to circumvent the Apple Watch data that is deactivated, but still showing on app greyed out. Long explanation and probably unclear. If you can tell me how to completely disconnect watch from app, I can handle it from there. Otherwise I like the app, but this is a serious flaw from multiple perspectives..Version: 8.1.1

I love it!! HoweverI’m on a carb cycling diet , I’d really like to see the option of selecting to see at least 2 columns, so I can monitor both my fat and carbs on their specific days (high fat low carb day vs low fat high carb day) But I LOVE that you can enter a workout to calculate total burned macros. I also love that you can create and save meals, and the option to portion the serving down to even the eighth! Overall this is my favorite macro manager— keep up the good work and I hope to see an option for us carb cyclers.Version: 8.1.1

Changed me forever73lbs down at the time of writing this review - about another 17 to go until I’m a “healthy” BMI. I don’t remember the last time I wasn’t obese. It still doesn’t feel real to know that’s achievable by the end of the year - making my weight loss journey a perfect year from January-December 2022. This year has been one where I’ve finally started to feel “normal” again - I no longer hide myself in photos. I wear what I like. I have a new relationship with food and feel like I have a deeper understanding of what I’m putting into my body thanks to the built-in nutritional report every day. The huge range of restaurants and UK-branded foods means it’s ridiculously easy to track everything, the barcode scanner is the cherry on top. This app has very few ways it can improve any further, it’s truly one of the best investments you can make in an app and in yourself. Thank you to the developers 🧡.Version: 9.10.0

The best calorie counting app out there!!This app starts with a 5 or 7 day free trial (can’t remember which) and its the only calorie counting app I have wanted to pay to upgrade after the trial. I’ve had fitness pal for years and years and also tried Lose it but this NutraCheck app is made so easy to use. I know most calorie counting apps aren’t exactly difficult but this one is just so simple. I find with Fitness pal finding the exact version of what i want to log frustrating but with Nutra check when you search it brings up a small picture which makes its so quick to recognise which one you wish to log. Plus there is a community bit where you read about other people’s progress or interact with other which is great if you like that sort of thing plus lots more like recipes ideas, you’re own meal planner section. I’ve tried them all and this one is perfect, it has everything I want from a calorie counting app and is easy to use, I will be upgrading when my free trial ends. I recommend downloading it and giving it a try..Version: 9.16.0

No weight loss option for high bmiI don’t know why this app doesn’t let you choose weight loss option when your bmi is higher than 30. Only two options available ‘ maintain or gain weight’. Why would I want to maintain or gain weight if my bmi is high, the goal is weight loss..Version: 9.20.1

WowIt’s so easy. I have had a hard time monitoring intake by calories, but this is made to be so easy. I am being brutally honest with myself and it does not lie, it tells you how you are doing. After a couple of days I can see how important walking or any meaniful exercise is to your well being. Thank you for bringing this app out..Version: 8.9.1

Good app, but macronutrients are hard to readThis is a good app for counting calories, but if you want to view the macronutrients (protein, carbs and fats) for each meal, you have to click on a drop down arrow next to the meal because there isn’t enough space to fit all three on a single line. Overall, I find the app easy to use and like the colorful, attractive interface with photos for common foods to ensure you add the correct item. I read reviews online saying this app is targets to UK users, but so far I haven’t experienced any difficulty adding common American products or ingredients..Version: 9.26.0

Great PotentialI really like this app, it has a great user interface and a huge database. Just like some of the other reviewers I find however that quantities and measurements are not necessarily user friendly. I don’t want have to weigh an egg in order to have to be able to enter it into my diary. Can we just have “1 egg” as a unit rather than just “grams”, and I appreciate that they are probably not all the same weight, but surely we can work on some sort of average here…? By all means, leave the option to enter actual weight of the egg if someone is that desperate, but just give me the option to just add 1 egg, and that will be fine for most people by my reckoning…? Same with all the pre-packed standard food from the supermarkets, can we just have “half a pack” or “quarter of a pack”, rather than just having to weigh everything…? I noted with some surprise that this app is UK based, because I find that a lot of food in the app only comes with imperial units, which is now more or less useless in the UK where everything is sold in accordance with SI units. Finally, it would be nice if units for liquids were volumetric. I really don’t know and don’t care how many grams of milk I added to my meal, this is not how recipes work. Liquids get added by volume, e.g. “ml”..Version: 8.9.1

Great app, but with a few glitchesI’ve been using this app for ages, paying the monthly bill as I find it far better than apps such as My Fitness Pal - where anybody can add food items and the macros could be wrong. What I like about this app is that there is pictures of the food alongside it, so it is clear you’re picking the correct thing. However, I needed to reset my goals, and it won’t let me enter a weight that is below a BMI of 25??? Which I don’t understand because I would like to be a healthy weight but it isn’t letting me input this. Nevertheless, I’m hoping this is just a glitch and isn’t a longtime problem, as this is by far my favourite food diary app. Another possible improvement - it would be nice to be able to view your weight progress on a line graph, as I find that it is more easy to gauge your rate of weight loss this way. Otherwise - a great app for calorie/macro counting :).Version: 6.2.2

BEST APP EVER!This app is actually incredible. I’m currently trying to gain weight and before using this app I thought I was eating enough food but turns out I barely make it through half way of the recommended allowance!!! It’s helped me so much in motivating me to eat regularly and healthily. The best thing about it, it’s almost like a game- having to reach certain goals every day and keep the streak, it’s kind of fun and addictive! I honestly can’t stop showing people how awesome this app is! As someone who would roll their eyes at people calorie counting, I’ve really changed my tune. And as corny as it sounds, it’s really improved my life. It’s helping me get back to a healthy weight again and in my day to day, I have so much more energy and I feel great! Such a small change but such a massive impact. A genuine thank you to the developers for creating such a smart and useful application, I love it! ❤️❤️❤️.Version: 4.0.8

Great app! This app is the perfect app for counting calories and losing weight if you choose. When I first got the app it was so easy to use and I loved it until I found out that I had to pay for it. I was so excited to have the app and I was happy on how easy it was but when I clicked the account page I saw that is was $29 a year or $4 a month and I was so sad so I got on my computer and canceled my account.😞😔😭I really wanted to use the app but they did not have a free account. Thank you developers for the app but I wish soooo badly that you add a free account. Even if the free account had ads or did not have the different things to track I know I would get the app again and spread the word, “THE APP ACCOUNT IS FREEEEEEE!!! Again thank you for the app but I don’t know if I would want to pay for it. I am disappointed that this app does not have a free account. And I would rather get myfitnesspal(not saying myfitnesspal is a bad app because it is a really good app) than this app. I will miss this app.😔.Version: 8.8.1

Has the best food searchI love the food search for this app. I want to be able to search for coffee with semi skimmed milk and have it ask is that a small or large cup and it does all that, brilliant! It even has really helpful photos of the food you scan to check it’s the right one, amazing! But, I also want to be able to add drinks to their own dedicated meal section so it shows how many calories I gain from drinks and how much I have drank that day - not just water. I also want to be able to track my daily fibre intake. I want to have a fasting aid where it lets me choose which fasting schedule and I can actually press a button to say I have started and I have stopped, not just alerts that I should be fasting. Finally, I would like a family sharing subscription rather than my husband and I each have to purchase separate subscriptions..Version: 9.16.0

Feels like a new gameSo I’m just finishing day 3 of my free trial week, have to say so far it feels like a fun new game , I don’t feel like I’m “dieting” what so ever , it’s just about getting the most out of your allowance and portion control. Today I had sticky bbq chicken and oven chips for tea , would of looked a lot more if I had used my toddlers plate . But was enjoyable and a normal tea for me , just half the portion if not more . As I’m only on day 3 I’ve yet to see the results , but I feel confident this is going to work for me ! I’ve been an avid weight watcher member for 10 years plus! Loosing over 4 stone and maintaining , until I got pregnant and put on 5 stone , now I’m 3 stone heavier than pre baby weight! I tried a few times since but I just cannot get in go again ! And the fitness pal app is far less interesting and so much more full, the lay out and the content on the daily food diary is more enjoyable …. I’ve just signed up to be a paying member , I’m sure it’s going to be worth it 👍🏻🤞🏻.Version: 9.6.5

This App does everything except make the tea!Fantastic app. Very well organised and super easy to record food and drink - even offering a barcode scanner to enable products and their nutritional values to be easily added. I also love the option to select and view calories, carbs, protein, fat, fibre consumption etc (per food item) by simply choosing from a drop down list. The App is very helpful in comparing the recommended daily intake of calories and nutrition groups against my actual consumption. The app can also record exercise, including the option to sync with your iPhone or iWatch activity tracker, and calculates how many calories you may have burned against your daily calorie count. I could go on.. Note: I chose to pay for a subscription because the charge (payable monthly or annually) is really quite low (less than Netflix) and the free function allows only five food items to be recorded each day which isn’t really any use at all..Version: 10.5.0

Great appHelps you keep track of the food you eat. The scanner is good if you have food that isn't in their huge list. Easy and simple to compete.Version: 3.3.3

Need to createI would give this a 5 star rating if I could figure out a way to create a recipe and then add a serving to my diary. Adding 1/2 or 1/4 of each ingredient (depending on how many servings a recipe makes) is a real drag. There’s got to be a better way. Ok I heard back from the creators and they told me how to create a recipe, and it worked. I said I would give it a 5 star review and I have. My husband, who is 70, has lost a bunch of weight and we are trying to fix that. This app has helped a lot. He is a total technophobe and he can use this app all by himself. It’s a miracle..Version: 7.9.1

More motivation for weight gain please!I’m trialling this for gaining weight, and it’s really hard for those of us who want or need to gain weight healthily to get good advice and tools as everything is geared towards weight loss. I really like this app; it’s easy to use and seems handily customisable. I also like that it is UK based. But although I have set a weight gain target, the feedback mechanisms in the app are still set to support weight loss. If Ian below my calorie target I am in the green, and as soon as I go over this I am in the red. This is subtly demotivating and also means that I have to remember that for me, red is good. I have a suggestion. If, instead of a precise calorie target, the app gave a target range of a small percentage either side of this, then this would solve the issue. I also think it would be more motivating for everyone - you’re in the green if you’re within a certain distance of your target, rather than having ‘failed’ for the day if you go even one calorie over. Calorie counting is not an exact science in any case, so it would also be more realistic..Version: 5.0.4

Love it!♥️Don’t have the money for a membership and I love the track that this app have still though. There’s a 5 item limit after 9 days I believe because I started on the 16th but you can always take the five items you put down and put it on paper then remove those five and continue adding more items in that same routine until you get your calorie count as long as you don’t go over your limit goal, subtract the goal from the calories you have left also the fat too! This app help me learn the difference between Fat, Kcal, servings and more such as scanning efficiently and checking progress. They even have forums where you can share your progress and read others. The membership is definitely worth it if you have the money!.Version: 8.7.1

So far, so goodI’ve been using the app through the free period. It is the best app I’ve used. I’m going to purchase the full version. Tracking calories and nutrition is crucial for me, because of my age and health conditions, I require a minimum of 1500 calories and high protein, to keep my bones strong. This app is the best of all I’ve tried or purchases over the years. Easy to use.I highly recommend it..Version: 9.2.6

Amazing appI was dubious downloading this app, I’ve used a calorie counting app before (a popular one featuring a blue and white icon) and found it had a few challenges - namely counting calories whilst eating out, and finding foods from lesser known brands / shops. Being UK based, this app is far easier to use. It’s database of restaurants / takeaways and food brands is far bigger, making it much easier to stay on track. It’s design and layout is very user friendly, and I love the graph which clearly shows your progress which in turn helps to keep motivated. Being able to sync my Fitbit is helpful, and the 5-a-day feature has encouraged to make me healthier choices not only to aid weight loss, but also to improve my lifestyle. Yes it’s costs more than the app I used previously, but is still considerably cheaper than the majority of diet packages / schemes available in the UK. As a person who’s spent a lot of time and money on fad diets, this has been the far most effective method I’ve used to lose weight, whilst still incorporating loads of foods I love. Would 100% recommend..Version: 8.5.1

Best £4 I ever spent !I legit never write a review for anything .. but this app is so good I just had to. I’ve been struggling with my weight since having my second baby. I became very overweight and quite frankly just let myself go. I knew I needed to make a lifestyle change and I downloaded this app and used the free trial. It was so good I decided to pay for the first month to see how it went (I figured £4 wasn’t going to break the bank even if it wasn’t great) but I kid you not this is the most amazing app for weight loss. It promotes a healthy relationship with food rather than trying to starve yourself - the app will simply count how many calories you eat without crucifying you for it. Yes I have had McDs, I’ve had Starbucks etc but I’ve lost more than half a stone so far because I’ve stuck to less than 1400 calories a day thanks to this app and I’m finally at a healthy weight. I’m more confident in myself and happier generally. This is just the beginning of my health journey. I just want to give a big thank you to the creators of this app. You have seriously changed my life 💕.Version: 8.9.0

Really helpful and easy to useI’m loving this app! It’s helping me with my macros. I been trying to lose weight and watching what I’m eating. This app made me realize I’m doing good with my work out and my calorie intake. However, I didn’t realize that while on a calorie deficit you also need to count your protein. Protein can turn into fat. Which makes sense. I been hitting the gym 2x a day (40 min cardio in the am, lift in the evening) for the past 15 days and not been able to drop one lbs. this app helped me realize I was having 65g over my daily goal..Version: 9.26.2

The best weight management appI’ve been using both this and another popular diet app for wellness and this one wins hands down! There is no such thing as ‘free food’ … every calorie in should be measured against calories out for effective weight management that gives you results. Certain other diet programs allow you to eat unlimited rice and pasta. Imagine that? They are saying you can eat literally a pan of pasta for breakfast and another for all your other meals, while scoffing in between on free bananas and free avocados. I lost NOTHING on these other programs but I lost weight with Nutracheck. I also love how it monitors your protein intake daily too which I love to do being vegan. This app is user friendly, intuitive and makes easy work of dieting. You get to make it as easy on yourself as you like or go full on for speedier (but safe) weight loss. All round this is the best app there is and believe me I’ve tried them all. I’ve already recommended it to another family member who uses it too!.Version: 9.4.4

I love this appThis app is so easy to use to log what you eat! It has a feature to scan bar codes on a lot of food/drink items. If scanned it logs the serving size and you adjust from there, if you are more or less, whatever quantity consumed. It is a great way to keep track of how much water you drank throughout the day and how many calories you have left after consuming foods. It also encourages you to eat healthy by giving a daily apple you try to fill. Another great feature is that it is able to sync it to your Apple Watch and it reads/adjusts your activity level to your calorie consumption. I have been using this for about a week now, (have tried others and lost interest or didn’t follow through) but I plan to continue to use this one. I would highly recommend this..Version: 8.5.1

Such a brilliant app. You will lose weight. This is the best weight loss app in the App Store. Have never found a food that’s not in the database. Easy to use , rest UI & if you follow what is recommended for you , you weigh everything & don’t cheat yourself then you will lose weight. Support is great & it is totally worthy of 5 stars. I’ve lost over a stone & half since starting my healthy eating with this app since January. Just a few to go to hit my target weight. My only 2 suggestions for the developers would be to implement a dark mode & also have a separate ‘ Drinks ‘ section on the daily diary. Whenever I have a drink there’s no dedicated section to record it. My mid morning coffee is not my breakfast or lunch & it’s not a snack. Hopefully this could be sorted in a future update. Download now , you won’t regret..Version: 8.7.1

MgreenI had to lose weight due to having MS and I was walking a thin line to also becoming diabetic. I looked and tried everything and other apps and found this app and gave it a try.. what a blessing and the most important thing with this app is being able to scan barcodes and getting the right oz or cups. I have lost 80lbs and I use it to keep my weight in check. What a godsend with this app. Thank you to those who developed this app and please keep it going..Version: 9.1.0

Love this app!!But wondering how much it is going to cost me after the 6 day free trial..Version: 9.12.0

Awesome appI really like this app a lot. It does a lot of neat things the way it tracks calories and macros, etc. One request would be: can you add a 4:3 option in the nutrient goals? Or allow an extra day to be selected for the 5:2 option. I’m in an alternate day fasting group, and this would be perfect to track the calories. This is a great app. just a suggestion. Thank you..Version: 9.17.0

Great app 😊Absolutely brilliant app use it every day & have lost 31lbs so far ❤️.Version: 9.12.0

Superb App puts success at your fingertipsThis is such a great & easy to use App; reliable performance, excellent and very comprehensive database and makes losing weight ‘fun’. It quickly syncs across my Apple products as well as inputting my Fitbit activities. Now in my retirement years, I’ve tried WW, SW etc, etc. . . throughout my adult life and all sensible programmes recommend maintaining a ‘food diary’ - that was the bit I always found tedious and time-consuming and didn’t follow ! hence I’ve dieted most of my life. It is so easy to do the correct thing as this App makes recording daily intake a doddle - either by scanning product barcodes or selecting via the vast food database (which contains every nutritional detail one could wish for). I really enjoy the colourful graphics and respond better to attractive photos rather than too much textual content. For me I didn’t want blog posts and forum support - so an annual subscription of App Only is perfect for my needs and excellent value. I was also thrilled to use a ‘British product’ (which was developed locally to me in Nottinghamshire) supported by an excellent team of medical/fitness professionals taking a proactive and enthusiastic pride in supporting and developing their App. I honestly believe that if you’re motivated to lose weight you’ll be thrilled by Nutracheck’s features..Version: 8.9.1

Wonderful App!After going from Lifesum, to MyPlate, to now this, the layout was different and took a little bit to get used to, but I’m loving this app. I’m a big fan of the move and copy and paste system. It makes it really easy to copy meals and plan ahead for the next few days. Also, I like the pictures that you get when you’re searching for foods in their database. The graph thing helps out a lot as well. No major bugs / glitches which is really nice. Overall, 5/5. Well done! 👏🏻.Version: 9.23.0

Terrific, except for entering tomatoesIt’s a wonderful app and is very easy to understand and work. The only issue I have is with tomatoes. When you choose, say, ‘1 medium tomato’ to enter in your diary, it plops in one thick slice of tomato. Every size tomato enters some other form/size of tomato. I’ve just had to adjust my tomato entries somewhat. Someone needs to rework just that to make it perfect. I would have give 5 stars but for this..Version: 8.1.1

Best free ap everI have tried many calorie count aps and by far this has been the easiest and best way to track my food and exercise. The calculation is all done for you and the fact that you can scan your food with their scanner and in my opinion, the fact that it breaks down the calories, fat, carbs and protein is amazing! I love it and recommended it to everyone!.Version: 8.8.1

Amazing!I love this app, it is so well developed and has so many features and resources. I am yet to find a food it doesn’t have logged, calorie tracking is so easy on here and people underestimate how the extra couple of glasses of wine at night are affecting their chances of weight loss. It links to my Apple Watch so I have an accurate understanding of my output and can easily measure my intake, it’s an intelligent app for an absolute bargain. Would recommend to anyone who is looking to lose weight and wants to see why it’s not working. I have lost weight but was more interested in making sure I didn’t tip into an overweight category, this works perfectly, I know my body is being fuelled and I know when I can afford a little treat. I wish I could give the app developers a hug..Version: 9.16.0

Nothing out there like itI’ve been on eating Keto for only 3 weeks and have been searching for a program or app that would easily help me track all this stuff. Until this app, nothing. I’m so thrilled with it during the trial period, cheapy that I am, I signed up for a year. VERY reasonable when you figure in the HOURS I previously spent looking all these foods up. OH! The best part is although it’s a UK app, they have absolutely everything in their food database, not weird stuff with a heavy dose of fast food, REAL daily eaten food! Thank you!.Version: 5.1.0

Fantastic appI’ve used the slimming world app for a while and have even used WW in the past but this app is so much better. It is so much more intelligent, it’s easy to add food either from manual input or scanning. It picks up all my movement and exercise from my Apple Watch so I dont need to do anything there and it’s so easy to see where I am at during the day and how many calories I have left. I am on my free week trial but will definitely be subscribing and leaving slimming world behind as this app just fits into my daily life so much better and seems to be in the 21st century. If I had to criticise I would say it needs more recipes on there as out of just 15 which is not many at all Ive only made 1. However this is certainly not a deal breaker as so many healthy recipes out there on the Internet..Version: 7.9.1

AmazingI recently upgraded my phone and was re-downloading my apps, and this popped up. Presentation is outstanding. So simple, with multiple customisable options to tailor the app’s view to your liking. As someone who lives in the UK, it’s brilliant to have measurements and brands which may not be available from other calorie trackers. The biggest surprise was to click around and wait for the moment a paywall or subscription membership pops up. I’ve yet to discover if there is one. I find this app takes the pain and “chore” feeling out of searching and tracking my items. There is a section to track 2 items such as water/ alcohol consumed/ 5 a day. When you eat some fruit or veg and track it, the apple icon fills up which I personally love - that feeling of working towards a goal. There is also a user forum area (which I normally take no interest in) but again, with the layout being so accessible and easy to use, I did have a look around and will probably post/ contribute to any fitness discussions. I hope more people are fortunate to discover this like I was. For me, this is one of the best apps I’ve ever come across. I hope this stays free, my hope being if it was monetised, that it is done by requiring a 1 off payment, and not subscription. 5 *.Version: 8.3.2

Integrates the data it should without trying to make you buy anything!Recently I’ve been trying to find an easy to use meal tracker that would integrate the activity data from my phone/Apple Watch. This is the winner! Very easy to use and integrated all of my exercise data seamlessly. The user interface is also better than the others I tried. PLUS, no “to do that you need to buy a plan” notices. Thank you!!!.Version: 7.9.1

Fantastic App but one problem...This really is a great app. We are using it to track our daughter’s diet (age 5) as she needs a strictly controlled protein and calorie intake because of a medical condition. The app makes working out the amount of protein and calories she is consuming so much easier and is a godsend. The big problem is that we cannot set the protein and calorie targets as we would like as the app prevents us from doing this because they are outside of the normal ranges. I think you should be able to set targets to however you need them. I don’t see it as a problem as long as you are shown a disclaimer if outside the normal range. A parent being able to set up a profile for a child would be a big plus, setting the app apart from competition and making it appeal to mums and dads wishing to track their child’s diet—I am sure there are many out there. One other slight niggle I noticed is that there is no confirmation when deleting a meal and so this is quite easy to do by mistake. Overall though I must say that for us this app is the best on the market for our needs..Version: 4.0.8

Not accurateThe app is great for helping you keep track of what you’re eating. I love that it links with the health app on my phone so my steps track over to this app. The problem I have is that the nutritional info for most of the foods I eat are not accurate. The sodium will be missing or the carbs will be off. I need to keep a close eye on these things for health reasons. I have had to delete and manually add and “favorite” everything I eat. It’s very time consuming, but at least the app keeps track of them and provides easy to read graphs that I can refer to daily..Version: 8.4.1

All past weight loss attempts failed until this appI had paragraphs typed up raving about how amazing this app is but all there really is to say is just download it. you’ll see how amazing it is yourself when you see all it’s features and actually commit to using it. im 5’2 on 1,200 calories and religiously counting every bite and i’ve lost 4 pounds this month and i’m not giving up — even bought the 1yr sub to be extra committed what makes this app so great compared to others is that it quite literally has every food product in the UK (only came across 1 so far that it didn’t have but it was a new product so not surprised). it’s easy to log whatever you’re eating without faffing around with a calculator cause it does it all for you, which is what really put me off calorie counting in the past. all you do is scan the barcode and weigh your serving and it shows the calories in it and how many you have left for the day.Version: 9.6.0

Great up until charges or finally disclosedAmazing app have been using it for a few days now. All the sudden it tells me I have to pay to continue using it. Never once did it tell me the free usuals would discontinue and then it's $40 for 12 months!!! I get ABC mouse for my son for way cheaper than that!! Very irritated now..Version: 8.4.2

Great appGreat app to track weight and keeps you going. It’s simple has forums and other things to give you support. You do not feel judged or like you did something wrong if you go over for a day. I like it and don’t even need reminders I just go in and track. Not a bad price point either if you are going to keep it going past the seven day trial. Going to change my over now..Version: 8.7.1

Awesome! We have lost 2 stone using this app and there is no way we would have done that without it! It is so comprehensive and at the same time realistic. It doesn’t judge you it just tells you what’s in what you are eating, and tbh, I put the meals in first, when I see what’s in some of the food, it comes straight back off again and I don’t eat it. There is so much hidden sugar and salt in our food these days it’s horrific really. Also food we have traditionally thought good really not so much. We have reached our targets, but we enjoy the new food we have found so much we are still eating it! We have got very creative with vegetables and flavour and it’s been something of an enjoyable experience, which is bizarre seeing as we were on a diet!! These guys have got everything covered, all the big stores fare and a vast number of eating out places. I have recommended to a number of friends who are amazed at what they didn’t know about what they eat, and are finding it very beneficial and helpful. I have never felt better, because although I halved what I was eating I still eat correctly and could monitor my nutrition, with the amazing information this app gives you. Thoroughly recommend it..Version: 7.5.1

Could Add a Few thingsOverall, I love this app. It makes counting my calories and carbs so much easier. Although, I wish they had an option to count net carbs instead of all carbs, because I have to calculate that by myself :/. A lot of people enjoy counting net carbs instead of carbs, so I think it would be great to add that feature. I also LOVE how I can easily connect my Fitbit!! One more thing I think they should fix is the price. It’s still on the higher side, considering a lot of free calorie counter apps do a lot of the same things this app does (minus a few features here and there). Overall, I love this app and use it all the time! I just do think there are some things that could be added/fixed..Version: 8.0.0

Excellent AppI’ve been successfully this app for a couple of months and I’m still learning about the multiple functions. It is very user friendly and it takes seconds to record what you’ve consumed and to track your dietary and nutritional intake. Recording snack calories has been a real eye opener. My only wish would be for a ‘homemade’ button ( as suggested by others). For example I was looking at the shocking levels of calories in commercially made pizzas listed in the ‘takeaway’ section. However, we make our own and know that they have a lot less calories. It is terrific that multiple supermarket products are comprehensively listed as we all use them but we make a lot of our own meals too. It is just a wish but other than that the app is absolutely brilliant. Thank you.Version: 10.2.0

Love this appI love this app and have used it everyday for years. Once you have the hang of it it is so simple and easy. I create my own goals and macro targets as I know exactly what I want them to be, and the app makes this work perfectly for me. I have loads of meals and recipes saved which I’ve accumulated over time, and though these take a few minutes to enter, filling in my diary each day is the work of moments. I plan with confidence for the week ahead and it’s easy to plan around meals / nights out with the week view feature. There are no forbidden foods and it’s fine to go over some days as long as you are in target for the week, which means you can have everything you like and encourages a good relationship with food rather rather making out that some foods are inherently “bad”. Simple, great interface, barcode scanner, great uk food database, scientific, sustainable. All you need..Version: 10.1.1

Keeping it REALI am a 52 year young woman who is 5’6” and have been struggling with my weight due to stress and recent surgery. I was a healthy weight but, over the past 9 months dropped to the point I looked very sickly. I purchased a weight gainer product and have needed to keep track of my calories to be sure I was taking in enough daily. This app is AMAZEBALLS with the ease of scanning a product and adding it to your intake with a touch of a button. The only downside is that there are no options to add whole milk with cereal and all restaurants are not included. This will hopefully be an additional as NOT everyone is overweight and this benefits those who are on the opposite spectrum..Version: 9.2.0

Best diet app I’ve usedI’ve used a lot of diet apps in the past including ones I’ve gone to weekly meetings to get. But this is by far the best I’ve used, it has so many diet variations to choose from and so much easily accessed nutritional info. I had to go on a low fat diet last year whilst waiting for an operation and this app helped and made it really easy to see how much fat I was eating as well as seeing what foods were the highest. Eating out categories are so helpful, as are the weight progress and your own recipe category. I don't use the forums but they are there if you need support from other dieters. The new update allows you to see your regular food intake by category (fat, sugar, Carbs etc) showing you the highest and lowest that you are eating. Well worth the money whether you pay monthly or yearly..Version: 8.8.1

AmazingHere’s my FB post If you know me, well I hope you do if your a FB friend ha, you will know that I only recommend stuff that really impresses me. Nothing I suggest has referral links so that I get money or discount for sign ups etc. If like me you have tried every calorie counting diet app on the planet and never 100% happy with any of them as they lack functionality, connectivity to devices and have poor and inaccurate food databases. Well after trying them all(well most of them) this comes out tops. Absolutely brilliant App, UK company, they even have a phone number and real people at the end of it. I’ve been using it all week and so impressed. It’s so easy to use from installation and after you get used to it and start fiddling about and looking at all the features your fall in love. It works on multiple platforms, phone, tablet and web and watch. If you add something on your watch and then access via your tablet it’s fully synced with your login. The tablet app even has a icon to tell you how many units of alcohol you have consumed by analysing any alc added to your good diary. New year and I expect most are wanting to lose a few Xmas pounds and would of though most are using something to keep a track and plan calorie intake and track fitness as stuff like this isn’t new but this APP is the best..Version: 7.6.5

Updated review!I reviewed this app last year - don’t do reviews normally but loved the app. I have done various diets, all the well known groups - WW, slimming world etc. but found bored of them quickly and if I had lost weight put it all back on very quickly. Not to mention the cost - this app fraction of what I was paying over a year! I Vowed I would never count calories as such a faff! This app takes all the faff out of it and if I want it I eat it - so I don’t feel like I’m on a diet, in fact I’m not it’s a lifestyle change that I feel I can and am sticking too. Update is I had an issue with the app and contacted them via the ‘contact us’ button within the app (great new feature) and within a few hours have had the issue resolved. So not just a great app but Great customer service too which is hard to come by these days. Highly recommend and incidentally have lost 4st 8 on it so far and nearing my overall goal weight ! 😊.Version: 9.9.0

Love this!I am diabetic and searched MANY websites that would give me all of the information I need easily. And there are many out there, but are a pain-in-the-you-know-what! Your website is so easy to use! And when I need to find a food, there are many choices with pictures so I can pick the one I need with hunting for 30 minutes for it. Thank you, thank you and thank you again!.Version: 9.5.0

Flipping Fantastic!Head and shoulders over all over apps of its kind. I tried 10 of the most popular options when deciding which to go with. In the end there really wasn't any competition. Perfectly balanced UI gives all the info you need, clearly presented, without being unnecessarily flashy (like a lot of the other apps out there). Incredibly easy methods for adding foods, especially if you live in the UK. Still haven't found an item missing from the database, and love how all items come with images. The clincher for me was how the app syncs with apple health data. I'm using this app mainly to track marcos in conjunction with the workout app "Strong" to track my workouts (also highly recommend that app). Both apps read/write to apple health so all data recorded by one is visible to the other. Absolutely ideal! And the cherry on top is the apple watch version of the app that makes meal tracking as fast as possible. The only missing thing I'd like is the option of a one off lifetime purchase. Too many subscriptions these days!.Version: 9.16.0

Best calorie counter everThis is so easy to use. The barcode is especially useful as it is on nearly every food that you might eat and you therefore get the absolute correct paramount and also nutrients. I am delighted with it and would recommend it to anyone. The only thing and I haven’t marked it down for this, as I’m not sure what the website part of the subscription would add to the annual subscription I bought for the Calorie Counter. So far I haven’t needed to go anywhere else to record my foods and progress et cetera, so I’m not sure what it is for. Perhaps it is the forum. I have only been using it for a week so I might edit this part of my review later. Also I can’t find where to upgrade it to use the website anyway. Bye for now, and happy weight loss. (My mum lost over two stone using a Calorie Counter)..Version: 8.0.0

Really easy way to organise your eating for weight controlI’ve been using the app for 3 days now and I love it. We try not to eat many pre-made meals so I wanted an app that would let me build a meal from basic ingredients. This will let you scan a barcode if you want but it’s real strength is in being able to search, for example, “red peppers; tomatoes; chicken; rapeseed oil; cornmeal, salt” etc. and very quickly plan a meal knowing what the nutritional content is. I set a weight loss target and it gave me a sensible calorie budget. Then I linked it to my Apple Watch and it automatically tracks my exercise and takes that into account giving me a daily summary. At the end of the day I know whether I can treat myself to a bag of crisps and a beer. There are some things I would love the developers to work on if they are reading this: 1) An ability to add custom (ie homemade) foods. I am thinking about my homemade bread but there are lots of other things. I have bodged it by creating the bread as a meal, copying down the nutritional data then adding this as a manually added food. However, it would be much easier if I could have tapped a new tab called “Homemade Food” and entered the recipe and portion sizes in the same way as for a meal. Then simply pulled that into a meal like any branded food. 2) We’re creatures of habit ;-) - it would be handy to simply copy an entire day forward then edit it. Otherwise, great app - thanks devs :-).Version: 9.6.5

Best Calorie Counter AppI have tried several calorie counter apps in the past, but none of them amount to this one. Other apps don’t account for fats, sugars, etc. Just Calories. This app is FREE and counts everything! It tracks calories, fats, sodium, sugars, and so much more including water intake! Not to mention the large food database so you can easily track what you eat. If the barcode isn’t recognized, you can easily enter in the nutrition facts and have it saved for entering it in the future! Love the app. If you’re unsure on downloading it or not, just do it, it’s totally worth it!.Version: 7.8.1

Amazingly brilliantI have tried many phone apps re my weight control. All of them pushed a trial, good idea but they all wanted card / payment so you paid and joined then you had the choice of cancellation; the onus now placed on you. Nutracheck put their confidence in their product and offer the trial without payment. Yes they remind you that you are in a trial and there are so many days left but here’s the magic thing - they have a button where you can subscribe and pay but they then have another button, note not a tiddly little thing that you are meant to miss but a button that is very visual and says “ not for me right now” so you can carry on the trial without any excessive pressure. HOWEVER, in saying all that; you soon realise that this product is “easy” and brilliant to use. I keyed in the food I was eating on a typical day and instantly realised why I was not loosing any weight - very very surprising but extremely educational for me. So I keyed in my stats and my weight goal etc. This gives you a real and easy grip on what you are doing and your progress in “real time“ as in an “instant” as you key in. On the commercial front each day I did have a reminder but the theme is - if your not ready to subscribe then no worries. 4th day - I signed up for 12 months. I will say again - “Brilliant!”.Version: 8.7.1

The best way to lose weightA most accurate and efficient dieting reference. It can be laborious to measure each item separately so the “my meal” option is an excellent one for including all the ingredients in one go. However it’s those little snacks that we love to sneak into our day that can be added and gives an excellent and true record of our calorie intake. If a diet is being taken seriously this tool is an excellent one as it’s very easy to use and also, most importantly, gives an accurate analysis of the nutritional values of the food eaten. The profile is set for each person individually based on age, weight, height, exercise etc and so the nutritional values are extremely useful to follow. I started using the app 3 months ago and have regulated my diet during that time and have gradually lost 11lbs in weight which I’m really pleased about. Slow but sure I’ll reach my goal having educated myself about the food I’m eating with the help of nutracheck..Version: 9.18.0

Excellent AppUsed now for almost 2 months. It is easy to use and not as difficult as I thought it would be to log food. I don’t feel I’m dieting but in control. I just aim to stick to it rigidly during the week and ease up a bit at weekends. Whilst on average my daily calorie intake is a bit higher than target, it’s low enough to loose weight. The App encourages exercise as it gives you extra calories to eat! Learned a lot about portion sizes and the surprising amount of calories in some foods! Great that it synchronises to the Apple app to pick up steps etc. Been losing just over 2lbs per week. Suggested improvement would be to have summaries of alcohol units and the “one a day” consumption available too so that you can track through time. Also the summaries to allow more than 4weeks data..Version: 8.9.1

In love!I started using this app 5 days ago and I am I total live with it. I found that with other apps it was hard to use, difficult to find certain items, etc. but with this app, it’s easy to navigate and pretty self explanatory! I love how it compares my days and basically sums them up. I already purchased to yearly membership. By the way it’s WAAAAAY MORE AFFORDABLE than the other apps. Thanks! By the way, ya girl has lost 3lbs so far! IN 5 days!!! 😌🥰.Version: 7.8.0

100% usefulThis app starts off with allowing you a trial period without having to input your payment information. The database of foods is massive, you can search for and find MOST of the foods you need. It has all major brands of food brands and fast food stores. I have been through a multitude of apps like these and none have been so helpful..Version: 8.9.0

Excellent Weight Loss appI rarely write reviews but this has to be the best weight loss app that I’ve used. It has a huge library of foods for tracking, plus you can add foods (all the nutritional info) or “Quick Add” with minimal info. I like that you can make “meals” and copy and paste. It has a ton of restaurants, too. Apparently this is a U.K. app. I’m in America but there hasn’t been an issue. You can switch to European or American measurements. There are a lot of apps that sync. I sync to my Apple Watch and you can “earn” more calories from exercise or turn that option off. You can also change your plan based on your diet (low carb, low sugar, etc.). I really can’t think of any flaws in this app so far. During the trial period, I lost 5 pounds so I decided to subscribe. It’s MUCH cheaper than Weight Watchers and the flexibility reminds me of the old WW Points Plus program. I say try it during the free trial and see if it works for you..Version: 7.6.5

Love itIt’s free and just amazing I love the fact that it helps you gain weight and tells you how many calories you’ve had so far and yes OwO.Version: 7.4.2

Love this appI’ve been paying the yearly membership for about 3 years now and use the app on and off if I need to shift a few lbs. It’s well worth it and much better than MFP. It has loads of UK foods in it. I love creating meals and planning my daily food. The app is also really good at remembering items I use regularly so when I start typing it bring it up straight away. Only downside is sometimes when companies change the recipe of their products the app doesn’t have the correct info but I can usually find the info myself and update the app info. Also it records g and ml as the same thing. I.e it records 15g of sauce the same as 15 ml of sauce etc but those don’t convert into the same amount really. If I measure out spices I get way more product if I weigh out 5g than I measure 5ml using a measuring spoon..Version: 9.24.1

Great AppI tried this following my daughters recommendation, I was a bit sceptical at first but thought it’s free for a week so let’s have a go. I wanted to lose weight for a holiday coming up in August and get back into my clothes, that fit pre giving up smoking! App told me I would be ideal weight on day I am scheduled to go on holiday... perfect. First weigh in today and I am not disappointed I have lost 2lb so I am on target and will be signing up to continue with the app First few days a bit hard but towards end of week was starting to adapt. It’s very easy to use, you can scan products which is a big plus for me and track everything which is great. You can eat anything but you have to remain within your calories each day. I would recommend, no harm in trying for the first week... it’s cost you nothing.Version: 7.0.0

Great calorie monitoringI love that this app has so much data stored for common items and not so common items. It’s also pretty intuitive to use. Excellent data base with the option to add foods & data. Many apps only provide specific brands but if your goal is like mine, to cook fresh food, it isn’t easy to find a tracker that gives caloric values for a general term (like chili con carne) and then provides variations ( chili con carne with or without beans) in addition to prepared foods by restaurants or companies. It also provides great images so you can visually see what is implied by the food choice. I used to use Fitbit, but it wasn’t anywhere near this comprehensive or provide the options for portions available in this app. Having switched to Apple Watch for my fitness, I prefer this app to monitor my caloric intake. Love. Love. Love. Keep up the good work!.Version: 9.4.0

IreneThis app is fantastic. After a 2 year period of mobility problems leading to hip replacement my weight has shot up to 14 stone 3 lbs.I was in panic mode. In previous years had used Weight watchers and Slimming World, expensive and ultimately led to failure. I searched Apple Apps and found Nutracheck, It’s an amazing app, so easy to use with a massive database of UK food products not touched by individuals logging, but maintained centrally so very accurate. Got my calorie allowance and as the app is so good I’m motivated to log absolutely everything I eat. I actually enjoy using it as it’s so easy. Logging exercise was going to be a problem because I can’t do much at the moment, was amazed when I found I could log walking with crutches!! The nearest thing to this app I have used in the past is My Fitness Pal and there is no comparison, this app is so cool it wears shades 😄. Was so pleased to find this morning that I am now under 14 stones after using the app for four days. Weight is a serious issue for arthritis sufferers, this will go far to help me in this respect..Version: 9.8.1

Amazing appI love the layout and how everything is so easily set up. I had been using Myfitness pal, but feel this one is easier and better setup. When a nutritional label is wrong, instead of having to wait for approval to have it be changed or adding a new one. You can just change the info immediately and it updates and adds to your food list under whatever meal your having. I also love the forum setup and how it’s not cluttered with other nonsense like other apps I’ve tried to use. It’s simple and easy to understand and overall exactly what I need to keep my motivation going..Version: 8.4.2

Better than Myfitnesspal3 weeks into using Myfitnesspal it stopped syncing with my Fitbit. I tried for hours to remedy the issue to no avail. So I looked on the App Store and this one was advertised. Almost as soon as I started using it I thought it was better than MFP. It’s better laid out, more intuitive and more visual. Seeing photos of the exact foods you’re tracking is a game changer and something MFP doesn’t have. It makes such a difference. The other thing I like about is it’s not littered with recipes and workouts. They’re there if you want them. Personally, I don’t. So I very much appreciate they’re not always in your face like they are on MFP. I’ve only had the app for 5 days and I’ve already signed up for a year in advance, which is half the price of paying monthly. Can’t understate how impressed I am with it..Version: 8.5.1

Great but a little priceyIt’s a great calorie tracking app, I tried a couple others but this was better and tailored to the Uk market. I’ve only been using this a week but it’s made me a lot more aware of what I’m consuming. Counting calories with the aid of this app has helped deter me from just snacking on crap all the time and made me a far more conscious about portion size. For Uk users, the already know food product database is pretty dam good and will only get more comprehensive as users add more. Having users taking product photo as well as entering the nutritional data was smart as it makes identifying products easier. The user interface for choosing portion size is clever and well done The only downside I can see is price. The App Store model has sadly taught us not to value software as we should and developers certainly should be able to make a living but I feel a subscription cost of £4 a month or £30 a year is a little high. If I could buy it now for a tenner I would but I think tomorrow when the weeks trial is up I’ll probably be looking for an alternative. That said, if you are more than a little overweight counting calories is probably more important than counting pounds. You should definitely try this app..Version: 6.2.2

Fab app! Only two tweaks needed...I am using this app alongside loosely following Slimming World (using an old membership pack, not attending meeting or paying their fees). It’s been really helpful in helping me understand exactly what I am eating, and tempering the free foods allowed by SW by providing a reality check as to how many calories I am consuming each day. The exercise diary is good, I should probably use it more! The motivation emails and rosettes are keeping me on track. Adding in my own recipes has really simplified my diarising efforts. Adding a new scanned food, which I have had to do twice, is straight forward enough. The nutrition interfaces with the health app on my iPhone, but the weigh in’s and measurements do not- I think this is something that could be improved but as I am only doing waist measurement and weigh in, it hasn’t beeen too much of a burden. The addition of a notes area each day would be an excellent addition as well and would help us to recall why we might’ve eaten what on which day. I do find that, nearly five weeks into using the app, I am relying on it more than the SW philosophy as I’ve lost a stone during that time by sticking to the calorie levels prescribed by the app and not looking so much at free foods and Syns..Version: 5.0.6

Superior 5*The best app for calories control and excessive recording. I’ve used Nutracheck and MFP extensively for a long time. In my opinion, Nutracheck is fair superior, it’s ease, user friendly, accessibility and interface are very advanced. Unlike MFP, (not criticising) the adding food process is simpler, MFP tends to favour American measuring units and American brands so it can be a little more time consuming when adding information. One aspect I think Nutracheck is better at is tracking my activities, steps and calories burnt. I often spend a lot of time on my feet with work and I go on daily long works too. It tracks al this activity very accurately through my Apple Watch, unfortunately MFT wasn’t doing this anymore near as accurate. It’s well worth the money for a superior service. Thanks Nutracheck!.Version: 8.7.1

Really good and well worth the subscription feeMuch better than MyFitnessPal if you’re in the UK: they have all the supermarket brands with photos, and a team of people regularly updating the catalogue rather than relying on people to enter things themselves. It has some clever features, like being able to save common meals so you don’t need to enter all the individual stuff every time, and my favourite is being able to set “easier days” which have a higher calorie limit. These are good if you have days where you might go out for dinner or a drink, and it encourages you to still keep an eye on what you’re eating but without the associated guilt trip. While the calorie tracking part of MyFitnessPal just seems like a vehicle to sell you all their other junk, in NutraCheck it’s front and centre. While there is a cost associated, it’s a very fair trade-off for the lack of dark patterns, ads, etc. all in all well worth the subscription I would say..Version: 9.9.0

Great and easy appI’ve tried a lot of apps and this one is my favourite by far. It’s easy to use- just scan any barcode from sauces and soups to drinks and frozen food or microwaved meals. You can also use kfc and McDonald’s (I haven’t tried any other fast food shops yet) you can also add your exercise in which I always do if I exceed my daily amount then it will give me grams of fat and calories back when I add my exercise in. It will also give you little rewards when you type in your weight loss and it will help you by explaining the amount you should be burning off or eating a day in order to lose the amount you would like to use. For just £3.99 or £4.99 a month this app has helped me through some serious weight loss and joy. I would recommend this app to anyone!💖.Version: 9.13.0

Some important macros not easily foundI like the app a lot but there are a few things that could be better. At the bottom I think it should be able to show all macro levels instead of having to search the goals page to see what they are. I just started using this app today but seeing what’s left for each macro would be nice instead of just on the icon outside of the app..Version: 7.9.1

Helps with my diabetesI admit because I didn’t write down things I eat my carb consumption and Diabetic bgl got out of control. With NutraCheck it’s super easy to keep track of what I eat. I easily track carbs and calories by doing a search on the app or even easier by scanning the item. Food Items on the app that show variances from the actual nutrition data are easily edited and corrected. Items that aren’t in the database can be added with nutrition and you can take pictures of the item. Since I have been using this app I have lost weight and have lowered my daily blood glucose level numbers. I paid in full for a yearly subscription and am super happy with this app and the progress it has helped me achieve :).Version: 8.7.5

Great appI’ve used this app for over 2 years now. Dropped 35 pounds and have been able to maintain give or take 4 pounds. I love to keep track of my calories for every meal and even though it can be time consuming, I like the my meal section where I can figure out calories for a homemade meal. I’ve had an issue as far as being able to figure out how to do things in the app and customer service gets right back to me and is very helpful. My favorite part is the veggie tracker because I alway want to make sure I get all my servings of fruit and veggies in for the day..Version: 9.8.1
