✓ Not as good as hopedThought this was a great app till I noticed that Ursa Minor never altered position. Unlike all other starts circling round Polaris over a 24 hour period, Ursa Minor never altered its position throughout the day..Version: 1.3.5
✓ Pretty goodThe controls are confusing. This, like other astronomy apps, try to do way too much for you. As soon as you start up the app, it takes you a ride thru the sky, where a combo of device movement, and finger navigation, leaving you questioning where up and down are at. You never get to go into "let me navigate exactly where I want to go, and let me spin the sky the way I WANT TO". The downside of that is that sometimes the North Star is to the top, bottom, right and left. And you are left guessing what the stars will appear like, when you go outside. I've given up on this app, because when I take it outside, it never lines up, and I am given ZERO control over CORRECTING the star map, to match the actual night sky. I understand the desire to do neet things for users, but when I have a star chart, I can turn it to match what I am looking at, not an option here..Version: 1.9.0

✓ Not iPad 1 compatibleRequires the gyroscope in the iPad 2? Really? There are at least a half dozen other astronomy apps that work just fine for the original iPad. Check out GoSkyWatch Planetarium instead..Version: 1.2
✓ Positions of Objects Inaccurate...Last night I realized that the placement of some objects is way off. As an example, M71 is depicted between the feet of Gemini. In reality, M71 is a loose globular cluster in the constellation Sagitta. It’s positioning in this app is nearly 180 degrees off. Gemini is a winter constellation, and Sagitta is a summer constellation close to Cygnus..Version: 1.9.17
✓ Astrology interfering with astronomy!I have just wasted money on downloading the full version of this app. I did it to try to avoid ads and the stupid astrology pictures that interfered with my viewing on the iPad. Can't find out how to change the view or anything. This is useless. Don't buy it, there are much better apps for stargazing on your iPad..Version: 1.9.0
✓ Pretty but not usefulCongrats. This has to be the prettiest astronomy app I have ever seen but it is not useful. No description of object, distance, location ( ra, dec, alt or azimuth) so I could never use this with my scope like Starwalk or skysafari3. I will keep it because it is so beautifully done. ✓ Problems with forwardApp is pretty good, but when I tried to forward as others, the mail icon is greyed out. I hit cancel then lost a third of the screen and no way to get it back. I deleted it and reloaded it while it was free about five times but no luck. Now I stay away from the forward arrow below the full screen button. I wish there was a fix for this. Any one else. I don't want to experiment deleting and reloading at 3.99 a pop....Version: 1.5

✓ Would have been 5* if the compass worksI bought this app for my son's moon observation project. But as other reviewers pointed out, the compass does not work, making the whole app useless. ✓ Nice try, BUT...'Star Walk' is the bench mark for all these types of astrological viewing apps and this one does not come near it in quality and ease of use. If you want say "wow, this is really amazing" then get yourself 'Star Walk'. The only sort of plus I can give this app is that the app size is much smaller than 'Star Walk', but therefore this app needs a constant Wi-Fi or 3G signal to work..Version: 1.5

✓ Love this app (revised)Update: this use to be my fave app .. Now, it's pretty annoying. Much more difficult to navigate. Don't think the compass is in sync. Going to delete & move on! ✓ A toyI bought this app based on the positive reviews, but was disappointed. Lots of eye candy, but little substance for anyone genuinely interested in astronomy. A toy really. I'd give it 3 stars, but since the developer boldly claims this to be 'the best star gazing app on iPad2', I will judge it 2 stars by that standard.
