✓ It's great but needs improvementIt's an great app with physics but you pay the money in the start and then you want us to pay more money to get another plane it's not fair. The physics are excellent and it's realistic but not to where a point you are worrying about cam the plane do this or am I going to crash. Overall it's great but the aircraft carriers need a little bit more thought as they pretty much turn 90 degrees really quickly and when your about to land and that happens its annoying but well done you have done a great job keep up the good work.Version: 5.5
✓ Better than the Pro versionPlayback animation doesn’t open the fuel probe on playback like the “pro” version of this game. The developers also got the animations of horizontal stabilizers and flap/aileron coordination wrong on the f14 and f18! Being retired Navy myself this bothers me a lot. In addition it would be nice to see ordnance available, changing the weight and flight characteristics. Carriers do not change course during recovery ops!!! Another annoying thing. PLEASE ADD PITCH AND ROLL during rough weather!!!.Version: 7.4.0
✓ Please Add Armament!I’m satisfied with the number of aircraft available. I like that fuel tanks have been added as well. I think the same way you added the fuel tanks, you should add armaments. You know, bombs/missiles and the player has their choice of setup. Not really for use, but for show. I understand it’s a flight simulator and not a combat simulator. ✓ Needs work but addictive!Takes 3 attempts every time to load on my 3GS but once loaded, works ok. Has crashed a couple of times when radar height is 'pinged' on level 6. But otherwise worked fine. Controls take some mastering but when you get it, the missions are easy enough. An update with new missions/planes/ etc would really enhance the game. Deck lighting and runway lighting for night missions ( maybe turned on from cockpit?) ideas for new content-bombing runs or dropping aid to refugees? few more buildings/features on landscapes? In flight refuelling would be cool( match the tankers speed and vector) ejection seat if you know you're going down? This could be an amazing game. update ASAP !.Version: 2.1

✓ Best Plane Simulator Gam I Have Played!The title says it all. I have been looking for a perfect plane simulator game and this one is perfect. The game runs you through 6 excellently planned tutorials when you first buy the game. When you finish the tutorials you can fly in many different planes. ✓ Hugely enjoyable game, with a few flawsI've had this game for a good while now, and have probably got hours of play out of it. I love the gameplay, and the ability to choose between standard and VTOL aircraft really mixes things up. If I had one complaint, it would be that the crash detection and physics can be a bit questionable. On one occasion I was experimenting with low flying over water, and when I viewed the replay my aircraft appeared to be half submerged on a number of occasions, and yet continued to fly! I also wouldn't mind seeing some sort of visual effect upon breaking the sound barrier as well as the audio. Those niggles aside, an absolutely fantastic game..Version: 5.92

✓ ...I have been hunting down a simulator like this for months now and I have finally found perfection, also i recently purchased the F-35 and to say the least i am very impressed. I found one problem though, this being the only flaw the F-35 starts way too far forward for taking off and is permenantly locked in V.T.O.L mode until airborne. Other than that, awesome game (love the new launch ramp on carrier) Edit still waitin for a f-22 raptor!.Version: 5.85
✓ F14 tomcat and other thingsDear developers, I have a couple things wrong with the tomcat, and other jets for the tomcat the visor that u look through should not be in a glass screen like the fa/18 in real life the screen is actually in the centre piece of the hood in the f/14 Tomcat, the other thing wrong with it is the rudders unlike other aircraft it takes a heck of a long time to turn using the rudders and when ur at the three quarter mile mark coming into a carrier there is no time to bank into position, so i would appreciate it if u could fix these little things for a more realistic feel. Game modes: The only fault with this game is the things u can do, sure there is missions but they don’t take long to do, so maybe a dogfight mode or something along those lines would be nice. Aircraft: The aircraft in this game is good I mean u have some rare ones but what would make this game even better is if u added things like bombers such as the b2 and the f111 and such, and maybe some more fighter aircraft and some reconnaissance aircraft too would be nice. Other then those things it is a fun game but with some more realistic cockpits and detail it would be better Flaring: The flair in this game is pretty good but could be more realistic as such it could come over the wings in those high g turns with maybe some shakes in the cockpit and some flair if in the barrelrolls too. The carrier should communicate its current heading and relative wind, particularly for night landings where it becomes visible late. The carrier of tens alters course without warning during the approach. Not very realistic. The ILS view is not stabilized so it is of little value for replaying an approach. Plenty of things could be a little better such as: needs a few more aircraft options, needs more control to roll/pitch through the vertical without it just automatically flipping the aircraft during those aeros, would be good if the player had control of the tail hook independently of the gear, should show external changes to the engines when the throttle is moved (looks like it's always in afterburner), the missions are also a bit simple and could be made more interesting (weapons?). ✓ Fantastic 18 timesWell worth the money. My fav pick up and play game. Difficult at first because I've never been real good at these types of games, but keep playing and you get a real feel for the 2 planes. Am into the campaign too so the 2nd aircraft is unlocked. Carrier landings are always a challenge and I'm getting the feel for them. Not always successful but it's fun to keep trying. The controls are just right for this game, gear throttle and air brakes. It's all about nerve really and the multi view replays are really cool. It's always nice to replay a really good landing a few times and think - hey I did that really well! The only thing that the designers might have added is a zoom view of the airfield/carrier as you make your approach on the HUD. I'm sure I've seen that way back in my pc gaming days. But it would only be an enhancement and maybe I'm looking for too much as on your approach you get to know the layout of your landing area. Definitely recommended! ✓ Great fun! (v3.0)I agree with many others; this is a fun little simulator, the graphics are stunning and the gameplay is immersive. The only real improvement could be an increase in the number of missions. Some here have complained that the 'landing control' doesn't work, which I assume refers to the undercarriage retraction control. It does work but it takes time, if you accidentally retract the gear you have to wait for it to complete it's cycle before you can start another. Landing is not really easy but is quite straightforward if a decent approach to the runway/carrier is performed. All in all, the complexity and gameplay are perfectly matched, the missions are fun and the replay settings give some really great camera options. I really hope that more development of this sim takes place and more missions/aircraft are added because I'm hooked!.Version: 3.0
✓ Flight physics not accurateI jjust find the flight physics to be a little lacking; if you roll to, lets say, 120 degrees and pull back, the aircraft seem to perform more of a yaw along the horizon than pulling away from the horizon. There's beauty in watching the landings. Only critique is that it would be good to have a fast forward button or a 15s replay because 30s is too long. And a 5s rewind button. I like that there's cross wind landings too but haven't worked out how to kick the nose around and land straight yet. If you like landing planes this is great. There should be more missions . 2. It some times crashes so I have to start again . 3. Make a selection of planes . 4. Make more places to land and make them closer they are to far apart. 5. Some times the calibration goes of and my plane flys in circles and I try to re calibrate it but it won't work . 6. F-35 is well worth the 99p extra as it comes with the new Queen Elizabeth Class Carrier, one thing I would say, is the flight dynamics are a bit iffy, on simulator mode, apparently a 45 degree angle will make the aircraft turn quicker than 90 degrees and full back stick. If you aim your nose down, you will gain speed. That’s not in the game yet, but I see it as a fundamental for a simulation -More variety. ✓ *Things that could be fixed or added*If anyone from Rortos happens to see this review, there’s some things that could be fixed or added to make this game better! I’ve always enjoyed playing this game for fun and if I get bored. Just a good way to pass time for plane enthusiasts like me. Even though it’s a cool game, it does have a couple minor things that could be looked at. One of those being the main runway on the Island Scenario. The lines on the runway look like they are for a smaller airstrip. The lights that show up at night are cool, but the lines don’t line up lol. Another thing that kinda bothers me a little is that the C-2 Greyhound doesn’t have shadows. I like to do aerobics with some planes but with there being no shadows, it’s hard to fly down on the deck. Another thing is the stutters when I fly through specific spots of the maps. I understand if it’s loading the areas but like I said I sometimes fly pretty low and when it stutters, it full sends me into the water or land. Those are some of the main things that could be looked at in my opinion. Something that I would really like to see is more aircraft. Ya I know the game is getting older and there’s newer and better sims but there should be at least three or maybe four more aircraft to fly. It’s also been 3 years since the F-104 was added. My top three planes that could be added are the SR-71 Blackbird, V-22 Osprey, and the C-17 Globemaster III. The SR-71 because you can zoom zoom around the map really fast, the Osprey because it’s got VTOL with the rotors, and the C-17 because flying big planes is fun lol. There could also be an update with reverse thrust if the C-17 got added and also put it on the C-130 since they can back up. Like I said if anyone from Rortos happens to read this review, these are a few things that could either be fixed or added to the game to make it a whole lot better!!!.Version: 7.5.7

✓ Great!I love this! I can indulge my childhood dreams of being an F14 pilot wherever I've got my iPhone! Having done some research I was pleased to see that the F14 is more floaty and less precise than the F18 and that if you approach as per real trap on the carrier at 1200ft then use the -3 degree approach descent the game actually kicks the correct lights on the ILS (or whatever it's called in the F14). Really nice touches, thanks developers! One day I'll be good enough to trap number 3 wire every time! Only one request, could you make the meatball work and have audio to ask the pilot to call the ball? That would just be great!.Version: 3.1

✓ Little suggestionsI sometimes try to land on something other than a runway, mostly the road going to the bridge. On fix should be that you can land wherever as long as you don’t land too hard. Also I don’t know if you ever though of adding helicopters because of the Lightning 2B or the Harrier but I think that would be a good idea. You should also add the F-15 Strike Eagle. Lastly, could we have weapons on this. I know it’s a landing simulator but I would be so much better with active armament and damageable areas. ✓ Meh it’s goodThere are several improvements needed, one is the sound of the engines during flight in full after burner. They sound like blow torches used in welding, that doesn’t sound realistic in a fighter jet the other improvements needed is when the jet hits supersonic speed and breaks the sound barrier the physics of the sound barrier neeeds to be included but only the sound is there. The g loading on the jet must be there during high bank angles and an oral warning should be there.
