✓ New Update sooo much betterWe believe this app can share the word of God, as far as it is “updated” correctly. So far it seems like everything has been fixed or improved after this last big update. Very much appreciated. Old review: Main gripes compared to version with the old player: -Cannot easily download the whole hymn book for offline listening. This was easy before. -They new playlist is frustrating. I can’t start the list with anything other than the first song. You click on a song list and just plays it over and over again (with list repeat on, not single track repeat) -intermittently mutes the music when the silence alarm switch on the side of the phone is activated..Version: 2.2.0

✓ I miss being able to switch languagesOverall, this is a great app. However, I used to be able to switch languages for individual hymns. This allowed me to sing a particular hymn in my mission language (or in other languages that I am trying to learn). Everyone else in the congregation sang in English, I sang something else, and relived some tender memories or got some additional practice. Please bring back the ability to access different languages from within the hymn. Since I often can’t remember the hymn’s title in different language versions of the hymnal, I can’t find the hymn in time to sing along..Version: 2.0.1

✓ I Love it, BUT—DEVELOPERS, PLEASE READ!When using the Sacred Music app on my iPad Pro MTXT2LL/A, version iPad OS 16.4.1 (a) if I am in landscape mode, the list of hymn numbers on the right of the screen (on the page listing all hymns in order by number) does not work. If I press on a number, the app takes me to the hymn on the left nearest the number I am trying to navigate to on the right. If I rotate the iPad to portrait mode, the links on the right work just fine. I like to use the app in landscape mode because it makes the music larger and easier to read. ✓ Dark Mode Syncing with "Lyrics"I’ve sent a feature request in the past in the year of 2023, and didn’t get a notice on when this suggestion would be fixed. A while ago I wrote a bug report/feature request talking about the "new-ish" iPhone Dark and Light mode capabilities. So a problem that I guess has been noticed a couple times was relating to the "Theming" setting. You know how you turn off dark mode on your iPhone and it transfers to a Light Mode? When you go into the Hymn app and go into "settings" there’s an option for "Theming" for sheets. When activated or turned off the mode will switch to synchronize with the light filter on the device, either it be light or dark mode. Make sure you’re in a song and in "Sheets." Now the problem comes in when you’re in "Lyrics." Could there be an option for light and dark mode to synchronize just like the "Theme" setting for the Sheets? When you’re in "Lyrics" and when dark mode is enabled, the background is black, right? So it the text color of the lyrics. When dark mode is enabled for Sheets, the text is white and the background is dark and with light mode, the text is black and the background is white. Now, this isn’t an option for "Lyrics." ✓ A few little things to fixFirstly, I want to acknowledge all the work that went into this new update. There were a lot of changes and additions and that is great. However, there are 3 things that bug me. 1. I used to be able to have playlists with different languages in them. Now, even if the title shows up as the language I wanted, it switches to English when it plays. Not cool. Tied into that, I loved being able to look at a specific hymn and be able to change the language on just that hymn. From what I can tell, the only place to change language is on the main menu and it changes everything. Can we bring back the language options for individual songs? 2. Where’s my “Now playing” on the main menu? I used that a lot but now it looks like I have to go to the playlist tab every time. I use the same playlist at night and it was nice to be able to pick up from where it left off. 3. Why is there a pause between songs or when one song is on repeat? Like there’s a 5 second pause before it starts again and it has stopped playing altogether a few times. I never had any problem with things like that before. I know there was a lot of changes in the new update and I hope you guys are still working hard to iron out the kinks. Thanks..Version: 2.0.0

✓ Translation glitchI love this app, it is of course very useful. But I live in a trilingual area so I am constantly switching languages. Every time I find a song in English and then choose the option to find it in French for example, the page it leads me to is always at least 3 pages off (if I'm searching in the 123 option). Creating playlists for primary and being able to share it with parents is one of my favorite, (It doesn’t automatically update if changes are made, just fyi) but now I saw that some of the songs have a video that go with it! ✓ Why did you change good things?I love this app. It’s great for looking up a song. I don’t have to carry around two large books. The latest fix changed the organization of the app which is confusing to those used to opening the app and having what you are looking for right there. I don’t like how the playlist feature was changed. I used to be able to pick a section and scroll through the songs picking several for the playlist, kind of like how it works on my iphone. Now I have to search each song out and add it individually..Version: 2.0.0
✓ Must Have!This app is really easy to use and found that I was able to navigate, switch between and find hymns very easily. The best parts of this app are having the option to hear the music for each hymn but also having the choice to either sing from the music sheet or just the song sheet. ✓ Bug. I hate this bug.I put this in 5 stars so you can see this because I want you to fixx this horrible bug!!! I want to rate it a 4 but I want you to see this review. I have IOS16.1 but clearly this bug is the same bug as the other reviews says. Like literally, this bug was at least since September 18… so it’s been two months and the bug is still here. Everything is fine, but one bug I just hate I want it to go away. I try to type in the search, and when I try to type a single thing, the app crashes. It happens with the other devices. Now I can’t find a song when the search doesn’t work. I can only type in numbers, but how the heck can I figure out what song is what number. So another way is putting it in alphabetical order. It’s the best I can do, but I want to be able to type in the search! Please fix this bug because I want to be able to search.Version: 1.9.5
