✓ Bad UI design changeThis app has been great, up until the recent UI design change. It used to be, that the option to see lyrics or music, was presented as text/tab options above the music. Now the option to select lyrics is hidden in a small drop-down at the top of the screen. If the UI designers want to change how to select Lyrics. Put it in the green drop-down box instead, that’s above the music, or keep it as was, which was much easier. Especially for older church members, who are less able to navigate complex UI designs..Version: 2.2.0

✓ Love the new updates but I am strugglingI love the new updates but there are a few things I miss about how the app used to be. The first one is page numbers. I now have to go on the church website to find what the page number is for the song. Also, I am the Primary Music leader and we do not have a pianist. I use the app to teach our primary music so I am often fast forwarding or skipping around in the song to replay the part I want them to sing instead of the whole song. I see that feature is still there but it is blocked behind a pop up that says “Queue finished” and it won’t let me move it so I can get to what I need behind. Last week we were singing acapella because I couldn’t get it to work..Version: 2.0.0

✓ Mostly good changesThe new update has a TON of new and amazing music and options, my only dislike is that it is hard to switch languages while in the hymns. The older version you could select the language of the hymn while having the hymn open. I like to sing in the language from my mission to help me remember. Now you have to go completely out and then change everything into the new language..Version: 2.0.0

✓ Great app with a major flawThis app has all the hymns beautifully formatted to sing or play on the piano. And the ability to have the hymns played audibly is great. But that is also its major flaw. It is way too easy to accidentally touch the play button at the bottom of the screen and start the hymn playing aloud. Often it's not evident that this has happened until the church organist stops playing, long after you have closed the app and turned off your phone. How embarrassing to have to quickly fumble around trying to stop it from playing while the sacrament is being blessed. And as if in an attempt to make this all the more common, the music doesn't stop when you put the iPhone to sleep, and it even plays WHEN THE MUTE SWITCH IS ON! It is a fairly common event that this happens in our ward, perhaps because we have too few hymnals, coupled with he fact thatcher our ward is comprised of mostly young, tech savvy individuals not afraid of pulling their phone out to sing from. But maybe they should be afraid. Please fix this. All it would take is to add a confirmation dialog asking if you really want to start it playing. Oh, and don't play WHEN THE MUTE SWITCH IS ON!.Version: 1.8.2
✓ Language capabilities…goneOur primary was working on learning a song in Spanish for our Christmas sacrament meeting. With the new update, the ability to play the vocals and change the text to Spanish are gone. Sadly, we will probably have to cancel the musical number because we can’t practice without changing the entire app to another language. Perhaps it would have been wise to wait until after a holiday that is centered on gospel music to make a major change. This update is disappointing and takes away so many important features. The app also stops frequently when playing from a playlist..Version: 2.0.0
✓ Very good EXCEPT...Love this app. I spent time over in Afghanistan in very small serviceman branches, and this app was a saving grace from 3 guys trying to sing a capella each week. We were able to have an iPod hooked into some speakers and off we went. BUT!!! The newer version of the app, being great with the addition of a voices track along with a music only track neglects one this that the old version had... WORDS. If you turn on the music, you can't see the notes and words. So you can't sing along, or use the app to help learn parts as you would if you are in choir. I know there are other ways to do this, but if you are limited in what you have with you (and I suspect you are or else why would you be dependent on an app for music) then this really is a let down. Also, the app is great in that you can pre-play the music which puts it into the apps memory and then you can play it again later when there is no internet (like in Afghanistan or other remote areas). I haven't tested that recently, but it was a great feature previously. If you bring back being able to see the words when the music plays, this is a 5-star app all the way..Version: 1.6.1

✓ No Multi-lingual supportHello, This morning I opened up the app in my Mandarin branch ready to sing hymns, and found a brand new app! At first I was surprised and excited to see the new features that were available, but as the conductor began I could not change from my native language (english) to mandarin as I had been able to in the past. I bet it’s coming in a future update, but it was inconvenient this morning when trying to participate in sacrament meeting.Version: 2.0.0
✓ Please put the drag-down-to-return-to-top feature back in!The best feature of this app was being able to hold my phone in one hand while my wife and I sing, and being able to one-flick return to the top (by dragging down at the end of the page). I could do that all with one hand, with my other arm around her shoulder or resting on the pew back. Now I have to press “scroll to top” in the middle of the screen, which is out of reach of my thumb, so I have to either awkwardly readjust, or scroll up multiple times to get back to top if I still want to one hand it. I love the app otherwise. Sorry for one star-I’m hoping the devs see this. I’ll update my review at a later date..Version: 2.0.0
✓ App crashes with iOS updateApp crashes when searching alphabetically. Please fix! I removed the app and added the app back, hoping this would fix the problem, but this made it worse. Now I don’t have access to the songs, because service is poor in the building. I will need to download outside the building so it is available on Sundays. Help! ✓ Needs full screen modeIt does not display a whole page on a single screen, and so you are continually scrolling up and down. As a piano player I can't use it to replace the books because I need to scroll for every song. The paper version is better for playing. But it's ok for singing along to..Version: 1.0
✓ Love hymnsThis is a very handy app. Especially in conferences when there are not enough hymn sheets to go around. I would love to see the ability to pinch the words for a larger font. Sometimes I need it large and sometimes not. Pinching would make it a quicker, easier swap between the two and/or get it exactly right..Version: 1.7.0

✓ Latest update breaks sheet music viewOne of my favourite apps sadly was broken during the last update. Sheet music missing for most hymns and children's songs. Deleting app and reinstalling does not resolve. Please fix so I can enjoy again!.Version: 1.8.1
✓ This is not a review of the contentThe content is of course 5 star. Before the big update I could easily play the accompaniment without vocals if I chose. Now I have to download the accompaniment only version and then play out of the download list. An update should not make something simple into something convoluted. I and many others I know would appreciate being able to play accompaniment only versions of the music without going through the extra effort, like we used to do..Version: 2.0.1
✓ I liked the previous feature a lot betterYou use to be able the pull the bottom of the page up and on release it would scroll to the top. I thought this user interaction was well designed. Now there is just some text that says “Scroll to Top” that scrolls to the top when tapped. Could you add a setting to switch between the two different scrolling styles? Thanks!.Version: 2.0.1
✓ Was Great 'til UpdateThis is a great app and I love listening to the music, but after it got updated it isn't that fantastic any more. I had in my custom playlist my favourite songs from multiple languages (English, Spanish, Russian, German, etc.) and I could hit the top one and it'd run through the list, but now when I click "play" it only plays the English ones because I have it set to English. If I want to listen to my German ones, I've gotta switch to German, back and forth and it's gonna make me go 'round the bend angry. Fix it. I also like the normal "play" triangle better than that giant, green "play" bar. The formatting before was better for the entire thing..Version: 2.0.0

✓ Stretched Phone AppEvery now and then a hymn in the hymn list gets marked or highlighted and I can't remove that color highlight on the hymn. I like that this has options for words and sheet music, that it has optional music to play for sing along or background, and that this is the official app. This is great for the iPhone, but on iPad it renders as a stretched phone app and doesn't make better use of the available space. It's also too bad that copyright does allow the digital use (in the app) of all hymns in the hymn book (some are blocked). The optional music somewhat sounds like violins, but it would be nice to have a preferences area where I can pick what instrument sound to have used and have a grand piano as an option (if not the default option). It would be nice if this were in the same app as the official gospel library, rather than as a separate app..Version: 1.8.2
✓ New update took away functionalityThe new update took away functionality. Now I can’t use the app without an internet connection because I can’t download the whole hymn book ahead of time. I also can’t easily change the language like I could before—something that was useful for so many people in the church who served foreign language missions. ✓ Good and badThis app is good when it works and I can read the music. It is just as often bad when I launch it and it needs an internet connection to download the music. Why oh why would you make an app that constantly has to update never-changing content? Super frustrating, and it always needs to download the sheet music at the worst time. ✓ Make Accompaniment Only Easier to AccessWe LOVE this app and have been using for years. We use it to play an instrumental playlist nightly for bedtime songs but for some reason the default is now all songs with voices. I can select that one song from the playlist is accompaniment only but there’s no option to select the whole list with that setting. The only two listed are Voices & Default (which is also voices). Please bring back the feature to easily select the entire playlist be accompaniment only..Version: 2.0.1
✓ Disappointed after last updateI loved this app in the beginning. When going to church I didn't need to use any books. Teaching primary this an important tool for my lessons. But then the last time I updated this app. I tried looking up hymns and primary songs. I searched songs by titles and numbers and nothing would appear. Then I decided to delete this app. I just came across it again and thought I give this app a second chance because this app used to display the lyrics and play music so my primary kids could sing along. ✓ Languages are now applied to the entire appA few of our primary kids that take Spanish in school were learning a few hymns in Spanish for the primary program and now that language has been changed to a global setting instead of selectable in the individual hymns has made it difficult for the adults who don’t speak Spanish to help the kids because we are not able to navigate to the correct hymn with the song numbers differing between the languages. Also the deletion of the continuous play made has made playing music in the background for nursery or other times a pain, because you have to have to keep hitting play..Version: 2.0.0
✓ Simply brilliant, brilliantly simpleI am not musically inclined, not a great singer, but love this app. The larger font size (compared to standard hymn books) make it easier to read if I forget my glasses. It's just a shame that it is so slow to open. 20-30 seconds to open the app, then to open the song is to long..Version: 1.7.1
