KORG iM1 for Negative User Reviews

IM1This is a nice app beautiful sounds but what will make it great is that you guys make it au3v support I don’t use it much just because of this reason.Version: 1.0.7

No midiThere's no way to dial in precise values via midi cc. Using your finger is impossible because the value changes on touch release. Will update the rating if they ever add simple and common feature for iOS synth..........Version: 1.0.6

WHERE HAVE MY ADDITIONAL SOUND CARDS GONEI have purchased this product, as well as sending it to a friend for their birthday . ( They were delighted ) All well and good you say ? However, I decided to add the additional cards from the store to boost the already wonderful sounds . Brilliant ! Very happy . That was until 14 th August last weekend , when i now load it and I'm told , ERROR , SOME SOUNDS MAY NOT BE PRODUCED CORRECTLY BECAUSE THIS DATA INCLUDES UN-PURCHASED ITEMS i dont think so somehow ! Answers pronto Korg ..i had already upgraded the ipad os 8 and it was working fine.suddenly they have gone So im thinking Ive been robbed ! Where are my paid for items ? Update Ok so ive just discovered they can be reinstalled from the store BUT WHY DO THIS ?.Version: 1.0.3

A Bit PointlessSounds pretty authentic, but needs AUV3 support to be of any real use..Version: 1.0.10

Nice but two major flaws. This is a great reproduction of the m1. But if you are using an iPad Pro the effects cause crackle. Must not be compatible with 48hz. Also no auv3 in 2020 is a huge problem. Doesn’t have to be a full synth. A preset player would be enough for us working in midi. Program our sounds in standalone then use in auv3..Version: 1.0.7

Love it, absolute classic but…Love most of the Korg apps and this is no different. I’m a bit of a Korg fanboy, had a few hardware units, got an Opsix, Gadget, all the gadgets. Love im1 classic sound and if you dig deep you can get some really good stuff from it…still. Only bug bear atm is that a bug seems to have surfaces on Osc2 in any programme. It sticks on 8 on a new programme and you can’t shift it, if you’re editing a programme and it’s on 16 or 4 you can change it to 8 only and then once it’s on 8 it’s stuck there forever, a bit frustrating. Latest m1 iPad Pro btw..Version: 1.0.9

Nearly perfectReally good synth with great presets. Synthesis engine has a lot to make great sounds however, for whatever reason every time you are editing a patch which would have many levels of effects, as soon as you try to select a different waveform for any Osc the patch or sound outputs solo and DRY which means you can't audition your patch while selecting different waveforms, you are forced to exit the edit page before it will allow you to hear your change. This has to be the most idiotic procedure I have ever seen in any synth and makes creating or editing patches useless and chore! KORG FIX! This! Please.Version: 1.0.6

Not worth the money!Much cheaper apps sound much much better..Version: 1.0.7

Crackling.Korg please help, I have purchased both the korg m1 and the korg gadget and they both crackle all the time. I can't afford to spend so much money on apps that don't work, I have an iPad mini which is iOS 8.3. Please can you fix this problem? Many thanks..Version: 1.0.3

Bluetooth midi not workingGreat classic sounds, however the bluetooth MIDI doesn't work. It works with Gadget app though! Please fix it..Version: 1.0.1

🤔Good but can be GreatI’m stuck here guys I’m confused 🤷🏾‍♂️. How is it possible that Korg has all these great sounding Apps and NO auv3 support ¿🤔? That’s like having a rare expensive sports car 🚗 sitting on used dirt bike wheels😖. 🤨Now let’s get it together you are better than this NONE of your apps shouldn’t support auv3.... Now #LetsDoThis so I can own them all and rule the world😈!!!! Your friend sincerely BeatzByBiz.Version: 1.0.7

Disapointing within GadgetI bought this for use within Gadget only to find that half of it is disabled in the Gadget version. You seem to only be able to use the presets. The sound manipulation pages are missing within Gadget. There doesn’t even seem to be an option to save Darwin presets within Gadget. The fact that the version in Gadget is cut down is not advertised anywhere and to be honest I feel ripped off. It does sound good though and outside Gadget it’s great but sadly that is not how I want to use it..Version: 1.0.6

Almost great. The idea of bringing this to the iPad is to be commended but it has not kept up with modern programming. The AUv3 update is way over do. Korg seems to lag way behind with software and driver compatibility..Version: 1.0.9

Low soundThe sound is low even with all turned up.Version: 1.0.7

Love the sounds, not so much the UISlathered in 80's effects (reverb for days), a real blast from the past with many (non-acoustic piano) sounds still holding their own in modern times. While WAY easier to program with touch screen, I keep forgetting how to store the flippin' patches to the dang User Cards! Perhaps I'll feel stupid when I find it again, but why is it so friggin' hard to do? Going to the user manual now to figure it out. Sheesh!.Version: 1.0.6

Au3?Great but no Au3...Come on Korg..Version: 1.0.7

Useless no auv3What is the point.Version: 1.0.10

It sounds great but… auV3 PLEASE!!I can’t imagine why a company with these resources would not make they’re awesome legacy keyboards play nice with the rest of iOS. But I realize that would minimize Gadget 2.0’s ‘play nice’ monopoly. C’mon guys. Get on the right side of history! Edit Oct 23’: With Logic Pro now available on the iPad, auV3 is more necessary than ever. Pleeeze?.Version: 1.0.10

Massive disappointment for gadgetThis app is great on its own has huge programming potential and flexibility but in gadget which is what I bought it for it is a shell of its self virtually no programming options it is basically a preset device great for those who just want to not think much and go with with they are given . Sure I can program outside then save in user location but you are still limited in gadget to have no access to the engine and record tweaks on the fly and further push the sound . Gadget is being treated like a no frills environment for simpletons . Korg sort it out this could have been the beast gadget needed to create the next step in the gadget evolution . Instead we are given another near empty jar. This is awesome for someone who just want to use it on its own but for gadget users looking to push the boundaries of sound way to limited and not with the £14.99. Stupid opportunity wasted ..Version: 1.0.1

Please fix within GadgetPaid for both and nowhere can you save a preset. This pointless to have parameters (even a poor subset of original) that you cannot save. Giving 1* in hope it will encourage others to complain. Good money spent and poor aftersales and customer care..Version: 1.0.7

Not so good in GadgetBought this for only using in gadget and it only has basic operation. Only programs available - not combi's. Maybe it's a cpu limitation. Only limited controls and no editing. If you edit the sound in the full app you have to restart gadget to pickup the changes which is annoying. Also no onscreen pitch bend or mod wheels in Darwin..Version: 1.0.2

Please add AUV3You will not be able to use this app with Logic Pro or Beat Maker 3. I’m new to iPad and didnt know this before buying. Other than that, the app is great.Version: 1.0.10

No good in Gadget!I also bought it for use in Gadget. No parameters for sound manipulation or the ability to save created sounds.(If you could create any). Yes all the gadgets are basic but the key parameters are there so they work pretty well. I added Korg Module into the mix at £21 with no real regret and the sample gadgets. All have added something but not iM1. Don't buy for Gadget only, no point!.Version: 1.0.1

Great sound -not working in AUMGreat sounds in Korg fashion. I want to give this a 5 star, but it doesn’t work in AUM. All of my other instruments work fine, but not this..Version: 1.0.7

Drains iPad battery when not even in use or backgroundFully charged my iPad yesterday. Today I open it and it’s down to 60%. Why? 100% of the battery drainage was caused by iM1, which I haven’t opened in months..Version: 1.0.6

Crap, no Omni midi selection.Wont work with external keyboard via USB midi. This app is missing the “Omni” midi selection standard like evey other iOS keyboard apps use. All my other keyboard midi apps work just fine using the camera adapter -Kong is the only app that wont work. Korg shame on you. You took my money and screwed me. M-Audio MK3 keystation..Version: 1.0.7

NO AUV3 SUPPORTCome on Korg this is ridiculous!!!! It’s been how many years now? I deleted Gadget because this. Gadget was born on iOS yet you give the flexibility to desktop only. I never bought the desktop version because of your shady business dealings on iOS. I spent over $200 on your iOS products. To access gadgets on desktop, to put in your personal daw, is $200. Over it..Version: 1.0.10

Will only stay great with AUv3 versionGreat app, have been using it for years where it’d have been 5 stars but with Apple’s deprecation of IAA and since iOS15 it has become problematic in that it randomly looses background audio so the app needs to be brought to forefront to get sound back which in the middle of a live performance is a major problem. Korg needs to bring it into the future with an AUv3 version that keeps all the current features and ideally adds more MIDI parameter control. I’d even buy the app again if that’s what it takes to make that happen..Version: 1.0.7
