KORG iMono/Poly for Negative User Reviews

NO AUV3 = 2 starsCome on guys. This is not a professional decision. Amazing sound though..Version: 1.2.6

Does not work with nanokey studio Bluetooth.IOS 13 iMono/Poly can’t connect to Kong’s nanokey studio via Bluetooth. Widely known issue for few months now, korg are unable to fix this for quite some time.Version: 1.2.2

Due to poor GUI , refundedI love the M1 and wavestation apps but I can’t get to grips with this, the controls are so small it makes sound manipulation difficult. A swipe screen doubling the size of the dials would maybe help. Sounds wise I found there wasn’t anything I couldn’t do in a few other retro synth emulations so ended up requesting a refund. It’s a shame as I really like the other apps..Version: 1.2.6

It’s not there yetI find the midi unstable hooked it up to my novation keyboard and it holds the first note I play, the app seems very unstable, sounds great as a stand alone, sounds worse through KORG gadget, how do I sync this up with other virtual instruments🤷‍♂️, where’s a sequencer, I say it’s unstable because when the patch gets chaotic sounding audio pops begin to happen, it’s like this type of synthesizer is only meant to be analog.Version: 1.2.5

Too early to tellI didn't get my discount, I was charged $30.Version: 1.0.0

Downgrading us for Xmas?1.2.3 update “special skin promotion period ended” You are removing the Monopoly skin with this update, really? Merry Xmas to you too, Korg..Version: 1.2.3

AUv3Please Santa, make Those wonderfully creative yet frustratingly stubborn folks at KORG give us AUv3 connectivity like everyone else on the planet?.Version: 1.2.6

It would be five stars if it was also AUV3 .It’s my favorite synth on iOS, but I can’t give it more than 2 stars for lack of AUV3. Seriously what a major failure! Who’s idea is it to keep it from running in AUV3? Seriously??? It’s literally the stupidest decision ever..Version: 1.2.6

Sounds good but scale selection is brokenCan’t go back to a standard keyboard after using a scale. User scale does nothing. Manual says nothing. Why would you not have an option to go back to having all of the keys?.Version: 1.2.5

Still Doesn’t Support iPhone XS MaxApp does not take advantage of the larger iPhone XS Max screen size. So much space wasted on the sides..Version: 1.2.0

Great sounds, poor integration with other apps.I really love playing and programming this wonderful sounding synth and would fully recommend this to anyone who loves synths. However, this is still missing some fundamental items and has not been updated for some time now. I would expect to see the following included, considering the price of the app: 1. No IAA Panel: Although on the Korg website, it states that it supports IAA, it does not display the all important IAA panel, with host link, transport, & record buttons. This happens when launching it from Cubasis and AUM hosts. 2. No MIDI IAA selection from host: Although this app appears in the IAA Audio track selection dropdown in Cubasis, it strangely does not appear in the IAA MIDI instrument track selection dropdown in Cubasis. 3. Fixed velocity on-screen keyboard: Although this app has a programmable velocity modulation parameter, there is no way to hear the result of this, because the on-screen keyboard only plays fixed velocity notes. The only way this can be achieved is by using an external MIDI velocity keyboard (which is not always available) or by programming it into the arpeggiator/sequencer, which is not the same as a musician playing the synth. 4. No tempo synchronisation with other apps: Although this app has a great arpeggiator, there is no way to synchronise its tempo with other hosts or DAWs (eg. Cubasis) though IAA, MIDI clock or Ableton Link. 5. No AU implementation: Does not appear in the AU lists of any host. 6. Completely daft Monopoly UI: Come on, this is a joke and a waste of developer’s time and effort that could be put to better use. I really wish Korg would sort out these missing items in the next released version of the app, as it is more difficult to include this amazing app into a musician's workflow on IOS, without them. It really is unacceptable in an app at this high price and from such a top manufacturer. This sadly applies to most of the other Korg apps. EDIT: Well, it is Interesting to note that there are more reviews catching the notice of Korg’s developers. Unfortunately, not much has been done to address the important issues mentioned here back in Sep 2018. iPad Air2 / IOS 11.4.1.Version: 1.2.1

Again a great sound synth app from Korg but...Again a great sounding synth app from Korg. Program changing functionality and midi learn but no midi sync in! Very frustrating! There is also no way to export or share your sound which makes it impossible to program a sound on one device and send it to another (from iPhone to iPad for example). When you do save a sound it creates another identical copy, with the same name to the next User Program, it doesn’t replace the old one. This means you end up having multiple patches with the same name in the same bank...not sure I quite understand the logic behind that. It would be great to be able to assign the right Kaoss pad like the left for more midi sequence performance ability. The Kaoss Pads do make the Korg apps very playable..Version: 1.2.4

Good butGood but no auv3 .Are any of the other ones going to get updated to AUV3.Version: 1.2.3

Dull interfaceThe user interface looks like a crap paper print, also master volume weak. Not good enough for this price!.Version: 1.0.0

Needs to be AUv3!Sorry but I don’t use Gadget and never will. It just doesn’t work for me. But your stand-alone synths are awesome and need to be AUv3! Needs to be AUv3!.Version: 1.2.5

A downgrade by removing the random featureHow bizarre is this, they have downgraded the app for no apparent reason and removed the most useful feature. Behringer FTW!.Version: 1.2.3

Sounds great but needs to be AU3Good sounding synth but korg have let it down by making it only Inter app audio, instead of a fully interested AU3 for use in DAWs like cubasis and garageband ..Version: 1.2.5

No AUv3 SupportKorg, it’s 2023! Update your apps to support AUv3 hosts otherwise they’re useless..Version: 1.2.6

AUv3 Please!Im happy that such great sounding apps exist for iOS from a reputable company like Korg. But Imo, it’s disrespectful to their customers to still charge a premium for these instruments while apparently refusing to update them to AUv3. They should at least be more upfront about this in the product description at this point..Version: 1.2.6

NO AUv3 SUPPORTCome on Korg this is ridiculous!!!! It’s been how many years now? I deleted Gadget because this. Gadget was born on iOS yet you give the flexibility to desktop only. I never bought the desktop version because of your shady business dealings on iOS. I spent over $200 on your iOS products. To access gadgets on desktop, to put in your personal daw, is $200. Over it..Version: 1.2.6

Nice synth, with reservations:Positives: 1. Good sounding synth with a good UI. 2. Nice for Gadget users, since it integrates with Gadget. The negatives: 1. Not an AU plugin. All the more important since Apple is deprecating IAA. 2. Why would you remove fun stuff like the Monopoly skin?? I know, licensing... Still, work it out with the game company, rather than taking it away from the users! I will NOT be updating right now, because I don’t want things TAKEN from me in updates..Version: 1.2.3

Great app, proper instrument, but please lose the awful Monopoly game skinPointless addition that embarrassingly misses the market for this app. Please tell me how to permanently disable the awful skin that makes the instrument unreadable at huge memory cost..Version: 1.1.0

Not AU….needs updateThis app has great sounds and functionality with my wind synth but cannot work in AUM because this Korg app is not AU3. Please update this app to fix this shortcoming. It CAN be BOTH standalone and AU..Version: 1.2.6

No AUv3I’m baffled that so much love could go into a sound engine without making it accessible to a standard being used by all the contemporary hosting apps on iPad. Begging you for comparability KORG!.Version: 1.0.5
