✓ Very absorbing and a good challengeHave played quite a few games of this genre and this is the best so far… by a long chalk. Aside from the wonderfully engaging graphics and atmospheric music, the puzzles themselves are well thought out and quite challenging and I really like the gameplay variations that keep things interesting. Different levels will require different tactics and while a handful can be dispatched in a few minutes, there are others that will take repeated attempts to figure out the best approach. This is good as it's a great balance of making it easy enough to keep your interest but not so easy that it's a walk-over. Can heartily recommend this game!.Version: 1.1.5
✓ EurohistorianGood update! Beat the game & enjoy replay with all the power ups. Would like to be able to play with multiple profiles. Wish the developers would revamp Sparkle so that on master & expert levels player could use Immortality with 1 other amulet, like this game. Sparkle doesn't let you move much with Immortality & you die pretty easily without it from mid game forward..Version: 1.1.5
✓ ExcellentGreat puzzle game, adventure storyline, music, high production values overall. Gameplay is challenging and there's a lot of strategy involved in picking the correct items best suited for each level. Getting stuck on a level is frustrating, but switching up equipment in your inventory usually is the key to passing the level. I agree with most reviewers that the timer is frustrating but it's all the sweeter when you beat the level..Version: 1.2.0

The only thing I don’t like is that it’s landscape only (the original Azkend is portrait, much easier to hold and match). Still, that’s not a dealbreaker. ✓ This is how casual games should be!The sequel to one of my all-time favourite iPhone games. The graphics are very polished, especially on iPad 3 and the gameplay is as addictive as any casual game I've ever played. Lots of small twists and special pieces keep the game interesting and the inter-level artwork & story are also excellent. The final piece of genius is the music score, which sounds more like an epic cinema score, than the backing music for a modestly priced app. Highly recommended for puzzle fans..Version: 1.1.5

✓ Can't put my phone down!The person above has No idea how to play Azkend obviously, only failed twice through half the game. The hard part that differs from the first game is finding the clues in the environment, which is a good challenge compared to the first game. ✓ Fun new elements make up for ...Their best release yet, so far. Very clever new puzzles. Still great music and beautiful, engaging artwork. Their match three, puzzle, story games de-stress and recharge yourself, and challenge you at the same time. I have read the the "unbalanced" complaints. But I like the variety of new elements in the puzzles. Not just match three, they add more clever twists. I also enjoy the small touch of working the story line into some of the "find the photo detail" sections. These chapter breaks used to seem random, pointless, and easy. Now they are getting harder but with some story clues to lead you. I like that their previous games are games that I can finish, unlike the pinball games that require being a fanatic games master to get far into them. We will see if I get stuck later. ✓ Not as fun as the originalDon't get me wrong, it plays a lot the same, but there's some "thing" missing from the game. I played the old version for the iPhone back to back with the iPad version and everything, the animation, flipping tile backgrounds, even the special effects just seems quicker and smoother on the old game. There was a certain charm to those other images that this version lacks. Add to that the voice over that really want needed,and it almost seems like this game was handed off to another team that just had the most basic idea of how the game works. As another review said, you run into "no more moves" really early into the game which feels more like weak play balancing given the shape and size of that particular board. I really wish I could say that it's more of the same, but it's not. It's a shadow of a brilliant game..Version: 1.0.0

✓ Thanks for the update!As of version 1.1.5 Azkend 2 is much more accessible with less stress over the luck of the tiles. The game runs smoother as well and my data is no longer being erased for no reason. Great update, this is now a wonderful 5 star game..Version: 1.1.5
✓ Fun but too shortFirst of all, to people whining that it's too difficult: It's not supposed to be relaxing. Not every game is relaxing. If you're finding it too difficult, do like the game says and try different active and lassie power ups. My only complaint is that the game is so short! I beat it in a few days of casual play. ✓ In fine traditionLoved what they kept the same, love what they changed. Story is fun and art is beautiful. Good sound track too. The new added game types are extremely fun. Not giving it 5 stars because I beat it without losing (so not challenging enough) and only took a few hours. So changing one of those two I’d change my rating to 5. ✓ Fantastic All Over Again.I was a big fan of the first one on iPhone, and again later when HD came out for the iPad. If you enjoyed either of the original versions, it's almost a given that this should be on your list to buy. While the story may not be necessary, it's a nice enough addition, and seems better integrated here than the first game. The campaign, as much as you can have a campaign in a matching game, flows well with the progression of pieces and abilities to unlock. Rather than just a random new tile, you're unlocking them within the context of the narrative being told. Again, narrative in a tile matching game is a bit odd, but I like how they made it work rather well. Additionally, where I found the first game to be a bit on the easy side, the difficulty ramps up a bit better in this version. Rather than finishing most levels with tons of time remaining, the new rules and abilities will have you pulling out more squeakers. Yet even with the new additions, everything feels right at home here... It's still Azkend through and through. Finally, the level of polish in the presentation is spot on. Not so overdone that the story or interface gets in the way, and while the file size might seem a bit high, once you start to play it makes sense and feels just right. All the way down to the flow of the in-game tutorials, Azkend 2 just feels like a very well thought out experience designed to be enjoyed. II may not be breaking a lot of new ground in the genre, but the ground it treads is solid and pleasurable..Version: 1.0.0
✓ Great gameJust completed it. Really addictive game. Storyline seems to be derived from a kind of Tomb raider, which is a bit dumb for a puzzle/logic game.
