✓ Works great!This is a handy app. I just used it at the OMNI in Montreal with no issue. It turns the TV on and off and changes the channel and volume as expected. It works through the Internet so the person saying they were standing closer to the TV to make it work doesn't do anything. I didn't buy the guide but I don't think it's unreasonable to have to. If you travel often it's a small price to pay to always have a current guide listing. The best part of this app is using it to mess with the housekeeping when they are in your room and you are in the hall!.EdokidVersion: 3.0

✓ It does exactly what it says it does.No where in the description did it say it’s a streaming or airplay app. It’s just to use your phone as a remote and it works so much more smoothly than the crappy tv remote. ✓ Worked first timeI’m not sure if the other reviewers are just incompetent or what, but this app did exactly what I wanted and what it promised to do. Once connected thru the app, I opened Netflix on my phone and tapped the connect button and it was like having an Apple TV in my hotel room. Loved it! The only reason I gave it a 4 is because I did get randomly disconnected every now and then, but I bet that had more to do with the hotels wifi than this app. I hope it ends up in more hotels!.Dave wikeVersion: 5.1.1

✓ Simple, but nice appHandy & works great. Doesn't do much, but it does it well. I don't like keeping track of the hotel remote & always have my phone near me so it's very convenient. Would rather touch my own device than a germ magnet with who knows what on it. The channel listing on the app is better than referencing the hotel room card. Purchasing the program guide for $0.99 was well worth it as it saves so much time flipping through all the channels looking for a good show to watch. I didn't care to steam any content so I didn't try, but the app description does say that device streaming is only avail in certain places and provides a link to check, so not sure why people give it a low rating over that. Could the app do more? Of course, but it's basically just a remote and it is a better remote than the room remote. Will definitely use on future trips..WillykoolVersion: 5.1.1

✓ No more remote touching for COVID-19!I stay primarily at Hilton properties and quite a few seem to use this. Not sure how many hotels used this before COVID-19 and I just didn’t notice... I tried it for probably half a evening without paying for the program guide and it was meh. Looked at the reviews that were terrible and decided to spend the $1 since it seemed like it really was just annually and not monthly or anything. It’s a great little app, can see what’s on, change volume, etc. No more yucky remotes. Only real suggestion is to add a sleep timer to the app..Ashleyryan920Version: 5.1.1

✓ Great app but why the cryptic update?I like this app its really useful when I'm staying away from home, to control the tv etc. However I was thrown by the recent update (24th june) which changed not only the 'app' icon, but also the name of the app itself! I had to google the new name to find out it was actually the lodgenet application. It confused me and I'm sure it will catch other people out also..Dai newtonVersion: 3.0

✓ This app is phenomenal!!I have no idea what people are whining about. Last night I was able to use my Plex app on my iPhone to ChromeCast a number of movies directly to my hotel room tv from my remote home server. The app performed flawlessly. No hiccups. This to me is a totally new level of awesomeness. Now I don’t even need to hook up a laptop via HDMI to the hotel tv. Just use my iPhone via ChromeCast..$$$$$$1234$$$$Version: 5.1.1

✓ I love the app but not many hotels accommodate itI love this app, but many hotels even if they have lodgenet operating system, the softwear is usually to old to use this app! 😡 Also most hotel don't have lodgenet at all etheir! ✓ Great for less handling of hotel remote!I’ve used this app for a number of years. I enjoy it because I don’t need to tough the hotel remote except for the initial setup. Well worth the small price. Unlike others on here, I’ve generally had good luck with the guide. As the feed is coming from a third party, not sure it’s the app’s fault when incorrect. A couple feature requests: 1 - would like to be able to set this up without touching the hotel remote more than I have to. I.e. power on only, just give me the code right there. 2 - I’d like to see a sleep timer on the app. It could be built into the clock of the iOS device and simply send an off command. Thanks! ✓ Perfectly FineAfter I read the reviews, I was hesitant to even bother download the app, but I’ve had literally zero problems with it since downloading. Yes, it is 99cents per year, but you have access to the TV guide which is extremely convenient. Controlling the TV from your phone has been fast and accurate as far as the guide goes.
