Super easy to useHighly rate it..Version: 3.17.7

Phenomenal app. The best there is!!!This is a tremendous product that just keeps getting better and better. Additionally, the support and service from the StrongLifts team is outstanding! I’ve been using this app for many years, and it does exactly as promised. It does the thinking for you and allows you to focus your time and energy on lifting and getting a better workout. I have been lifting for more than 40 years and I received daily emails from the StrongLifts team that are both educational and inspirational. I just can’t recommend this app enough. Even after using the app for many years I signed up for the one year subscription last year because of all the flexibility, it allows you. Not only flexibility in regards to the workouts that are provided but in customizing your own workouts, so that you have everything in one place to include workout history, notes and your next workout planned and ready to go. if you’re trying to decide between the subscription or the lifetime membership, I would recommend saving money and going with a lifetime membership. This app is just that comprehensive and will serve you for many many years to come..Version: 3.19.2

ExcellenceStrongLifts is the best workout app imo. It’s intuitive while also being extremely flexible, suitable for absolute beginners and the sky is the limit. There are countless templates and exercises built into the app which you can modify or mesh together to suit your needs. The default program, however, is extremely approachable for beginners. I recommend using the history>calender to track your consistency, you can gamify it a bit by trying to get a consistent pattern like pictured in the preview images on App Store..Version: 3.19.1

51 male with little experienceI was very active as a kid but not necessarily an athlete. I never squatted before and was concerned about starting at 51 years old with a history of back problems. I smoked and drank myself to 260 lbs. This program has gotten me into the best shape of my life. I’m squatting 275, benching 225, and deadlifting 285 currently. I keep making progress and can’t wait to challenge myself with the next work out. I utilized the de-load feature a couple times but come back stronger each time. I have found it has taken my joints and smaller muscles more time to catch up to the larger muscles so the slow and steady pace has been perfect for that as well as having control over the weight progression settings. I wake up eager to work out and PR again. I have never woke up eager to run any distance. Lastly, there is a real person on the other end of this app. Mehdi has answered my specific concerns personally. He’s worth every dime of the subscription cost! His advice is backed up by credited studies instead of trends and advertising. I trust him and his program has made me stronger..Version: 3.19.3

Best resistance training tracking app!I have used StrongLifts for years now and would recommend it to absolutely anyone working out. 1. You can create your own programs with different workouts on different days - the customisation is amazing, and you can add your own exercises - the options are unlimited! Track and customise weight, reps, sets, have a timer for duration reps, rest timer…the list goes on. It’s perfect. 2. The interface is really user-friendly and in my opinion is incredibly practical in a real workout setting. I’m going to avoid listing all of the features that you can find elsewhere, but I would say that a great deal of thought has gone into making this app and the developers are incredibly helpful and respond to any questions quickly - support is great. Highly recommend and I am so grateful for this app!.Version: 3.18.1

Solid app. Clean and straightforwardEasy to use. Just do what it says and you’ll be fine!.Version: 3.19.5

#1 Favorite; love Apple Watch app, my 2nd year renewal of premiumOverall great app and I love the Apple Watch app too. If I have my phone in hand I will get distracted by other things during a workout. It’s best for me to review the lifts, start my workout and music, put the phone down, and run the workout on my watch. I won my first amateur weightlifting competition at age 44 after using 5x5 for about a year. I was the only guy that showed up to the YMCA for the contest, but I still got the trophy. So, literally I was only competing against myself! Haha. But my point is this isn’t an exercise app, this is a training program that increases weight on each workout until you finally fail some reps, then pauses until you can can complete all reps, and increases the weight again. The library of videos with proper form are amazing training tools. It’s highly customizable. During lockdown i cobbled together a garage gym, first with only dumbbells. All the dumbbell exercises were there. When I finally got a barbell with only a few plates I adjusted those exercises to higher reps for lighter weights..Version: 2.17

Great appStarted using this app mid January, love it as it shows you how to do the workout, your progress, keeps you consistent. It feels like I’m levelling up every time I go to the gym and keep getting stronger..Version: 3.19.8

One of the best apps I’ve ever usedThis app is beautifully simple and functional. It makes lifting accessible. I love it!.Version: 3.17.7

Great app, excellent way to get started at the gymWell designed and easy to use. Program is powerful for the simplicity. Probably never would have lifted weight without it. I drifted away from the gym for a while and when I came back my power pack was still here along with all my history. Great long term support so if your unsure l just give it a go! Eventually I guess I’ll progress to a different workout and that will prompt me to upgrade to the pro subscription which I’d be happy to do..Version: 3.16.4

Worked great for years, now it's even better!I’ve had the app for at least three years, and it has always been rock solid, worthy of 5 stars. However, with the latest updates and features available to the new Pro subscribers, it is absolutely the best fitness app out there. I was hesitant about an annual subscription (I'm not a fan of reoccurring bills) but the one time lifetime fee seemed steep, so I decided to do the annual to try it out. Simply put, I wish I had bought the lifetime to begin with. NOTHING can touch this app. I alternate between the apps default 5x5 program, the Ketogains 5x5, and the Beaxst Program from Jeff Cavaliere (I switch when I plateau). The app allows me to perfectly replicate any program I want, with the set timer to keep me focused, the history to review, and the awesome graphs to kepp me motivated and pushing harder. I can even track my Interval HIIT training that I do a couple of days a week. This is the only fitness app I will ever use..Version: 2.15.3

Amazing workout and app!I’m currently on my 15th workout and am squatting more then I ever have! Feeling stronger throughout the body in general and am not spending useless time in the gym anymore! This app helps with anything and is truly a game changer for me! I’ve been recommending it to my family and mates.Version: 3.19.3

Used for a couple of yearsGreat app for the beginner or the crusty old lifter like me. I have been training with weights for over 30 years, for the last couple of years this has been my favourite app. It’s also a great go to training app for those who don’t want to waste any time in the gym. Weight training isn’t my only or main sport I just use it to stay strong, in shape and help with my other activities. If it’s your only thing then you probably want something more comprehensive. But for me it’s perfect..Version: 2.10.2

Daily EmailsThe app itself is great, but the daily emails answering questions are what set this program apart. All very well written and cited with referenced studies. Initially I blew them off, and maybe they changed after they were on hiatus for a couple weeks, but since then I’ve found them to be very interesting and informative..Version: 3.17.7

Stellar service! My dad and brothers have been long-time users of the Stronglifts app and I was attracted to its features the moment they showed me the app. Still I wanted to take my time to check out what other fitness apps had to offer. I could not find anything close to the Stronglifts Pro Family Lifetime subscription for value! That’s a big deal for our family of 7! Some of the other apps had a ton of features or a broad focus on many different aspects of fitness. Stronglifts on the other hand seems laser focused on improving strength in the most effective and efficient way. I like the focus and simplicity of their app and programs. But the real reason I’m writing this 5-star review before my first workout with the app is because their customer service team has been unparalleled in their quick and clear instructions about how to navigate the confusing process of family sharing and getting accounts set up for multiple users. They consistently responded within hours, not days allowing me and my son to get on with lifting rather than spending hours reading blogs and FAQs trying to figure it out ourselves. Out of the hundreds of apps I’ve used and PC software services I’ve used, Stronglifts’ service has put them all to shame! Thanks to the Stronglifts team - I look forward to using the program and offering a more complete review! -Ross.Version: 3.19.8

Perfect app, great workout routine. This app is very easy to use, but it also has a lot of depth and flexibility. The adjustable timers, the extensive list of additional movements, the way it subtly pushes you to go to the gym and the auto- incrementing are all great reasons to get this app. Well worth the money. Do not hesitate. Just buy it..Version: 3.16.4

Still loving this app.I have been using this app along time now and it’s still great and only getting better with each regular update. The free version is great but if you subscribe then it’s even better and will be the only fitness app you will ever need..Version: 3.3.3

As a lady...As a lady it is hard to find a weight lifting program that isn’t too technical but still gives you a good workout (male workouts vs women’s). -I am so sick of the suggested workouts magazines say women should do. Nothing but body weight, lame! The true key to weight loss and maintaining everything is having enough muscle to burn your fat and food throughout the day. Finally a comprehensive program that hits all of the main body muscle groups in an easy to use format. The app is a breeze. The goals are reasonable (if you cant make a lift weight, drop the weight by 10% and try again) and easy to manage and track in the app. Meanwhile, a few clicks on my phone has me zipping through the work out -takes 20-30 minutes- and looks like I belong in the gym with all of the male gym rats! Love this app and love this program!!!.Version: 2.9.10

Clean, simple interface that makes lifting a breezeSuper-clean interface. Super-simple programme that does all the thinking for you - you just have to lift. Pro version more than worth it - includes all the warm-up sets and the exact weights you need to add to each side of the bar with each set. That’s invaluable when you’re in the gym at 6am - no need to faff around with spreadsheets, paper or pencils. One other thing - STICK TO THE PROGRAMME. Don’t tweak it or add unnecessary exercises. You will see major results after 12 weeks..Version: 3.13.3

A great appReally helps me with structure and consistency for my workouts which I’ve never managed before.Version: 2.9.21

Great Workout, Great App, Incredible Support!I really like the 5x5 program a lot, and this app makes it so easy to confidently move through the program. I warm up well, rest appropriately between sets, and continue to confidently make gains like I never would have using my “pull a workout outta my hat, and make an educated guess at what weight to do” system I’ve used historically. This is particularly true as I, in my mid 50’s now, strive to stave off looming sarcopenia, and revive my lapsed strength and fitness. Not only is the app very well developed, and continually improving, but I am astonished by the incredible responsiveness of its support team. Not only will they assist, but they (Mehdi) has entered several detailed discussions with me on ways to improve the app. I’ve never experienced anything like it on any app store. Thank you!.Version: 3.17.3

Excellent app - increased strength and improved techniqueI use Winter for weight training, and I used to just lift weights doing lots of reps and swapping routines around as I fancied it. I thought I was making progress, but felt I might be missing something. A good Google session led me to this app, and within a few days I was happy to pay for the pro subscription. So easy to use, lots of customisations to suit, and it actually works. I can see and feel the difference. Started from the lowest weight, to get the right techniques, and now progressing with every session. What’s best is that I don’t have to think. Life is too busy, too stressful, and too mentally demanding on me - but with this app I can train, switch off following simple instructions, and see results. Dev / Owner is super responsive to requests too. Overall a brilliant app for building strength and muscle..Version: 3.0.1

Very good appEasy and useful.Version: 3.18

Good and functional appReally easy to use, I like how it progressively increases your weight for you so you don’t have to remember what you lifted last session and you get a notification when your rest time is over (even if you’re lost in social media)..Version: 3.7.2

Best app everThis app has helped me to change my life. Free weights confused and intimidated me until I discovered the stronglifts 5x5 program. A lot of work has gone into this app. I am grateful and cannot recommend this app enough. If you are new to lifting and don’t know where to start do yourself a favour a d download this app. ✊🏽🤙🏽😎.Version: 3.19.8

Best weightlifting app!I’m a Powerpack user, which has evolved into Pro and has some Pro features. At some point, I will be buying a lifetime Pro subscription because I like the Pro features I have and I want to fully customize my workout beyond A and B programs. Keeping track of a workout routine on notebook paper or a notes app is cumbersome, especially for a beginner. The StrongLifts app is perfect for you if you’re starting up or starting back up a routine, you have the motivation to lift, but need some simple guidance. I’m assuming you know the 5x5 program if you’ve found this app, and it’s a great routine, but what makes the app great is that it evolves with you and is can be used a lifetime. For example, I was running 5x5 with a few accessories until the weight got so heavy I could not complete the workout in the time I had available in my schedule. Five sets with 3-7 min rest became too time consuming for me. The app has allowed me to customize and run the program in a 3x8 and tracks my accessories all in one place. It also runs a progressive load with plate images so I know exactly how much to load the bar each workout. The interface is intuitive and easy to use. While you can argue the merits of a 5x5 vs something like StartingStrength (you can run an SS routine in the app with a Pro membership), the StrongLifts app is supreme..Version: 3.17.7

THE best weight training app.The app is easy to use and can be tailored to almost any routine. Makes my consistency much better as the calendar shows when you should be training and exactly what you should be doing, also what weight you should be using. The app provider listens and acts on feedback. I would thoroughly recommend this app as it represents great value for money..Version: 3.17.7

Excellent lifting trackerNear perfect, no nonsense, customizable lifting log/tracker. I love the versatility of workouts and sets numbers and how it tracks. The interface is easy to use and read while in the gym. It’s not overly complicated but has almost everything you need. I would like to see more customizable adjustments to workout info from the ones pre loaded and the customized workouts. Being able to to easily adjust plates vs dumbbell vs machine etc. Also, I’d like the addition of cardio based machines like rower, ski, Xebex etc. Last thing I can think of (after only using the app a little over a week) is a distance category in addition to timed (also the time should be able to go higher than 5 minutes with cardio workouts added) and sets. Distance would allow like running and rowing etc but also some weight exercises like farmers carry, lunges, and sled push. Otherwise it’s an awesome app and love using it!.Version: 3.19.2

AwesomeFree version is so good and functional gonna purchase the pro soon.Version: 3.19.2

Best spotter:gym buddy - always shows upRead as much content from the StrongLifts website. It helps with the motivation. Start light weights and don’t try and think you know better. Log everything in the app and it will do the rest. Best gym and training logging app. Simple to use and if you follow it closely results happen fast..Version: 2.9.4

Loving this appIt’s just so simple and yet everything you need and more. A++.Version: 3.19.8

SolidIt's a good program for anybody. I've been lifting with compound movements since I was 13. 36 now. The old programs I did had a lot of the same exercises but were split a little different. I've gotten out shape due to injuries and a career change from physical labor to a desk job. This seems like a good way to get my base strength back and avoid injury or overtraining. I'm about a month in on Stronglifts and I'm optimistic I'll see some good gains. I think the key is starting very light and just being patient until the weight adds up. I used to squat 400 lbs and bench 300lbs. I started this program at a 125 lb squat and a 110 lb bench. I think I'll surpass my old personal bests in 6-8 months. The app is very user friendly . I really like the way it's set up. The advice is sound too. Big compound lifts, stay consistent, eat right, rest, ignore all the complicated advice from magazines and the www, you don't need supplements because they're mostly garbage other than plain creatine monohydrate and whey isolate. Right on bro..Version: 2.10.5

Updated review. This program is simple and easy to follow. I started working out at 35 years of age, and gained about 1 lb muscle/month, until I added about 15 lbs, while becoming lean as well. I don't think there is another program that is as straightforward as this, free (the advanced features you don't really need- I started using them after two years or so). Most programs just give you confusing "bro-science" instructions, complex routines, while also trying to sell you things you don't need. If you read about the creator of this program - Mehdi - he is genuinely passionate about lifting, and teaching people how to do it right. He goes over the technique of each lift in detail, so you don't get injured. Follow up the program and do NOT modify it! No need for assistance exercise for a while, until you gain decent strength..Version: 2.9.18

Still the bestHands down the best all round weight training app ever. You’ll surprise yourself how quickly (and safely) you’ll progress with your training. Pay attention to Mehdi’s advice on PROPER form! Listen to your body. I just wish this app was around when I was younger..Version: 3.13.3

Helpful and well throughout appThis app is so easy to use and works out your workouts but has the flexibility to change or modify. I’ve been using this app for years and it just keeps getting better..Version: 3.6.1

Perfect for the beginnerThis is so easy to use, no guesswork hoe much to add or when, just follow the directions, eat right & drink plenty of water & get enough sleep, then get strong. Honestly stick to the program, watch the videos if you’re not sure about form, and you can’t go wrong.Version: 2.10.2

What more could you ask for?I’ve used this app since 2016 and it’s only got better with each update. As a female the ability to swap out exercises or the starting weights (when restarting from months off) or the bar weight (I have a mini Olympic bar so half the weight and importantly the size!) makes this so user friendly for the individual. The graphs showing progression are really motivating, the form videos help reassure correct posture, and having everything planned out workout by workout enables less thinking that we all know can easily hi-jack good intentions! Love this app. Since discovery I have recommended to everyone who I find out lifts..Version: 3.19.5

100% strongerAlways my go to app to progress back to full strength. Patience is key to getting stronger using this app but you will definitely see strength and the muscle mass to match. I totally recommend it.Version: 3.17.7

Sweet appSimple, clean and effective. Does everything it says and nothing it shouldn't. I've used a lot of exercise apps and this is easily one of the best.Version: 2.7.9

My go toSimple, effective, and focused. Great results each time I incorporate between programs to shake it up!.Version: 3.19.2

The best approach to gaining strengthI love this program so much. I’m so pumped that I hit PB’s every session or every other session. I love the fact it’s so very instructive on form. It is a massive help to have this program and to help me achieve my fitness and health goals. And I love Mehdi’s emails and tips. This is a must have. It’s less than the cost of a magazine which is just absurd..Version: 2.8.13

Great app!I've never managed to go to the gym regularly and if I did never really knew what to do. I love the fact that I can squeeze in a quick workout three days a week just before lunch. I'm in and out of the gym in 30-40 mins and can already see results. Good support videos along with Mehdi's daily motivational emails. Very impressed..Version: 2.7.4

Love itThis app is fantastic. I love that I can create my own workouts and adjust the sets/ reps and equipment type. I love the 5x5 workouts as well but since I had an injury I have to start fro scratch doing a specific program..Version: 3.19.7

Great appI’ve jumped in and out of this app for 8+ years and it’s just got better and better. Great customisation features, handy tutorial videos, count down timer, automatic weight increases to list a few of many. I’ve always made good progress using StrongLifts and whenever I’ve fallen out of training it’s my go to to get me back in. Highly recommend.Version: 3.18

Great appMakes tracking a breeze. Automatically increments the weight for you, has a timer run between sets..Version: 2.3.2

Amazing appI have used this program for years. I setup for 5 days per week, but since the app is so flexible I use his regular 5x5 but add in my own exercises the other 2 days, which is just ATG stuff..Version: 3.19.3

Excellent AppThis app is terrific if you use stronglifts 5x5. I particularly enjoy the warm up function and the plate guide. The after sales assistance was also terrific. It takes all the thought out of working out, you turn up to the gym hit the button and you know exactly what your doing..Version: 3.13.1

Keeping me on trackLove the app. Takes all the calculations out of your sets. Great reference videos all in one place! Thanks!.Version: 3.19.8

Returning to where it beganStrongLifts has been a part of my weightlifting for over 5 years. Sometimes it sits idle as other apps and programs get a run. But one thing is for sure the usability, functionality and reliability keeps me coming back - and you will too. There have been significant enhancements since StrongLifts 5x5 was initially released and these have made it a customisable app that is feature rich and able to be used regularly. The customisable templates have seriously supported the app - so even when moving on from 5x5 there are enough options to keep using and maintaining all data in one place. Fitness is about routine and this app continues to develop and support maintaining the routine. Mehdi - thanks for keeping me on track!!.Version: 3.19.2

Best app in the store. Just wish you could edit workouts more freely.Let me start by saying if you are unsure on whether or not to get this app, get it. It is so easy to use, rigorous and gives a near complete training program for both beginners and intermediates. The program is designed to stick to compound lifts are target major muscle groups. The subscription is fully worth purchasing, and gives a simple guide to how to warm up and the ability to add on additional isolation exercises at the end. Additionally if you do not have time for 5x5 or it becomes too taxing, you have the option to switch to 3x5. My only complaint is that you cannot edit the core exercises for each workout. Now there is a good reason for this, as it ensures that you stick to the system (which I recommend) for the best results. However, individuals who suffer from conditions prohibiting them from certain lifts (such as supraspinatus tendinitis, which produces pain with barbell press), are unable to replace these exercises with a suitable alternative (such as standing/seated dumbbell press in the above case). Whilst the muscles targeted may not be identical, I personally believe that this app should give the freedom to allow edits. That’s just a thought, and I do hope one day such an option will be offered to subscribed users..Version: 2.9.12

The best way to start strength trainingI have been using stronglifts for 170 workouts now. It is the best way for beginners to start. Even though I have moved on to different programming now, I still use the app to track my workouts, progress over time and chase the little gold stars for every PB. The app is super customisable to use however works best for you. I recommend it as a starting point for anyone interested in strength training..Version: 3.19.2

Great for the whole family! My 17 year old son has joined the US Navy, but doesn’t ship out until November 2018. He’s a slender guy, and wants to pack on some muscle before he ships, so my husband and I got a set of free weights for him in November 2017. Searching the Internet for how skinny guys gain weight, I came across StrongLifts and downloaded the app. It was laid out so well for absolute beginners that it encouraged me (female, 40s, not skinny lol) to start lifting. Now my whole family, to include my husband (also in his 40s), our 17 year old son and our 15 year old daughter all lift weights 3x a week. We’re all getting stronger, but not killing ourselves. I’ve not lost weight yet, but I see more definition in my arms and legs, and my jeans are fitting looser, so I’m thrilled! I highly recommend this app to anyone that wants to start lifting weights!.Version: 2.9.1

Made it possible for me to keep lifting! Why climbing gym went through a couple of strength training instructors and then had none. I had stopped lifting for almost 2 years, and missed it so much but didn’t feel safe doing it. Strong lifts gave me guidance and arithmetic out of it and meant that I was lifting a couple of times a week again and it makes a huge difference in my climbing in my life. It’s simple and easy to use and I look forward to my work out because I know what I’m doing. Your clear articulation of the effort involved in the motivation to keep upgrading and the excellent results I have made an easy decision to say yes to upgrade and give you the subscription commitment. It’s the least I can do in return for what you do for me. Judy.Version: 3.11

Perfect for beginners!Everything you need right here to get started with a weights program if you’ve never lifted before. Takes all the guesswork out and guides you through the program simply and elegantly! One tip: if you use it for more than 1-2 weeks, you really need the paid version with access to the warmups....Version: 2.10.1

Great app but…It’s a really good app and it’s helped me loads in terms of tracking everything and calculating everything automatically for me. My one thing I dislike about the app however is that when swapping programs, it doesn’t save the progress so upon returning to a program, it starts you off at the basic weight again and it resets. It’s frustrating as I obviously can’t remember all my weights because I do madcow 5x5 so there’s a lot to remember. Everything else is great though and I highly recommend the app. If the developers see this review please consider this🙏🏼.Version: 3.13

New to thisWould have marked this down as I do not like to be asked to review apps however so far I can’t really fault it. It’s clear, video instructions are clear, I only need one piece of gym equipment so can monopolise that without having to try to get to the next bit of equipment when gym is busy, has a countdown timer that keeps going and banners when it’s time to do next set even when you’re in other apps. It will take time to see what the results are but so far it’s all good..Version: 2.8.18

Easy to use, thinks for meOne of my big issues with training is thinking too much. I switch plans, change goals, talk myself out of training. StrongLifts supports a simple, effective training program and simply tells you what to do and when to do it. It’s great, simple and easy to use. Best workout app I’ve tried (and there’s been a few). Pay for the Pro version- less thinking! And it supports the developer..Version: 2.9.21

Love this app! Can’t recommend this app or this program high enough to anyone that’s looking to start training and isn’t sure how. SL5x5 walks you through every exercise and workout making it super easy. The app will tell you when to increase your load, when to reload and even tell you how much weight to put on the bar, so you don’t have to do the math. Best of all it has a great apple watch app making it easier to record your lifts, whilst also tracking your heart rate as you work out. I've found this program really enjoyable and flexible enough so that you can progress as fast or slow as you need..Version: 3.15.1

Learning and AccountabilityBest app for strength training I’ve ever used. It’s easy, clean, supportive, self directing and trains function and form over ego. A fantastic apps for beginners to moderately experienced gym users. Free platform is great. Paid is even better from what I hear..Version: 3.16.2

Great app!Good for progressing weight or decreasing if u had time off….Version: 3.13

Does exactly what it says.Does exactly what it says. Nice clear way to track 5x5 workouts, adding weight, and giving visibility of completed workouts. Easy interface to check off sets and time recovery between sets. Thanks!.Version: 2.1.11

Awesome app for anybody looking to become stronger! It's been a long time since I logged into StrongLifts but started back tonight and I have to admit that I'm very impressed with how the app has improved (I updated prior to using it again)! Very slick user interface, literally fool-proof! I'm currently nursing a low back injury so it's ideal for my needs right now using vey light weights but able to be motivated to train and progress incrementally each session!.Version: 2.8.18

Great, Simple AppBig fan of StrongLifts. The app is super easy to use, and offers a really easy to follow workout plan focusing on compound lifts. The app offers good, readily accessible data feedback in terms of workout history, and is presented really well. Added bonus, not too much is hidden behind a paywall so get the sense the owners care about improving people’s training, not just making a quick buck. Certainly this is one of the better fitness apps out there..Version: 3.3.3

Amazing support and a great exercise routine!!!Ok so I thought I had an issue with my subscription I sent off an email expecting I wouldn’t get a response for weeks at best. Mehdi contacted within hours. Fixed the issue no problem. I’d like to add this is the only work out that has worked for me. It’s simple, fun, and IT WORKS. I particularly love how each time you go to the gym you add just a little weight. Getting started is the hardest bit. Initially your lifting light and it’s easy to make that start. You feel good and strong after a few weeks, by the time it gets hard your addicted. You don’t want to miss a work out because you want to add weight. Your body adapts as you lift more. Thanks again Mehdi.Version: 3.15.4

Great programBetween the app with the Pro upgrade and the awesome website, you can’t go wrong unless you don’t follow the program or you lack the drive. I’ve been training for over 20 years. An injury took me out of the gym for a while. Using 5X5 StrongLifts got me strengthened again to the point I was back to weight training with no problem. I started at a low weight. A weight that could. E considered embarrassing at the gym. I mean 95lb squats and bench press. But I followed the program and I was up to bench pressing 315 lbs 5 times and squatting 405lbs 5 times in a matter of 6 months. It’s only three times a week. If all you can do is Saturday and Sunday and one day during the week, then you’re doing the program. With time, I added assistant exercises. I grew bigger and my body fat decreased. I love 5X5 StrongLifts and recommend it to my friends and people on Facebook bodybuilding groups I belong to. There’s a reason it has the high review score that it does. Enough said!.Version: 2.10.2

Best workout App everI have been using many apps before this one and honestly this is the best!! So simple to use, user friendly, clear, has everything you need including videos with detailed instructions. You can easily adjust weights/reps anything really. But the best is you have a plan for workouts ready for you for weeks. Can monitor progress for every exercise and weight loss. I will keep using it for every workout session now..Version: 3.19.3

Learn proper form on all main liftsThis app is something special. A modern version of the notebook and pen. I love it. The StrongLifts 5x5 programme is excellent for building strength without the usual bodybuilder soreness. I used it to get back into training after a long absence concentrating mainly on exercise form. I moved on to MadCow after a few months but fully intend to go back to StrongLifts again. It has both narrative and video of all the main exercises. I now love all the compound lifts which I was always scared of! Highly recommended..Version: 3.18.1

Works wellExcept for the fact when it asks you to deload it adds weight instead of taking it away.Version: 3.0

Wonderful App for 5x5 workouts & Great customer support!I am brand new to the 5x5 workout regimen, and I researched many apps before choosing StrongLifts. I am already finding it an invaluable aid in helping me monitor my progress and guide my workouts. I also had reason to write the developer with a question, and he responded almost immediately, and over a weekend – – major points for responsive and supportive customer service! I am 62 years old and not a complete novice to the gym, but I haven’t worked out with the guidance of a trainer or a fixed program in many years. I am only two weeks into the program, and I’ve already seen amazing growth in my strength and stamina. I don’t think I would be experiencing the same success if it weren’t for the StrongLifts app. Highly recommended!.Version: 3.16.4

Greatest app everI remember I was skinny and couldn’t even deadlift 135… but after following this app and the workout for my body type… guess what happened… with consistency and discipline…. I reached 405 for dead lift & squat… thank you Mehdi !! God bless you and your app! Please keep upgrading your amazing app !! Thank you !!.Version: 3.18

StrongLifts is awesome!!!I’ve been using StrongLifts for months and it’s been phenomenal. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on trainers in the past, but have seen the most results in the past six months using this app. Easy to use, great explanations, and lots of wonderful progress tracking data. I can’t say enough great things about StrongLifts!!!.Version: 3.19.2

Weight lifting after many years absenceI’m 75 years old and haven’t lifted weights in many years. Always liked it, but just got too lazy to do it consistently. Weak points are my shoulders, arms hamstrings and quadriceps. I fall down a lot and I needed a cane or some other device to help me get up. I really struggled to stand up. Realized how thigh muscles had atrophied and decided to see if I could do something about it. I have three herniated discs in my lower back since playing high school football at the age of 16. I also need a right knee replacement placement from serious trauma back in 1992. This is an excellent program for beginners and intermediates. I eventually plan to purchase your pro version but I want to make sure that I can stick with it first using the basics. Thanks for making this available for free. Has helped me a lot in the short time I’ve been using it i.e. less than one month. Thigh strength in particular has greatly improved..Version: 3.13.4

Great programThe strongLifts app is dead easy to use and takes the thinking out of programming workouts. The format easy to adjust according to your experience and clear instructions are provided for each exercise if a beginner needs it. I have found the program to be effective in gaining strength and size. Thanks for the work you put into this Mehdi..Version: 2.15.7

This program and app will save youI haven’t felt this enthusiastic about gym in over 10 years. It is so so inspiring because Mehdi has thought of everything. The app is perfect - the best gym app I have ever seen. The 2.5 kilo increase every session is fantastic because it is slow, but hugely motivational. It allows your core and stabilising muscles to strengthen as you go. I started squatting at 65 kilos after I had injured my lower back in 2016. But starting off light, gradually increasing and using Mehdi’s form guide, I am now lifting 130kg. Still not much for a guy my age but for me it is a massive achievement and my legs look way better. Give this a go - you will absolutely not regret it..Version: 3.8.1

Simple but effectiveGood app and I’m happy to support SL5x5 but its not really possible to adapt this to other routines like greyskull, SS, or really anything else. That said it does work excellently for SL5x5, just you may have to buy a more flexible app in a year or so once you want to change program. To get the most out of it you should take the time to input your exact equipment. Worth the price just for the plate calculator though, and to support them as they're giving away a really good workout..Version: 2.8.18

Still strong7 years ago this app helped guide me to become the strongest I’d ever been. Time to start that journey again. Simple and addictive tracking and planning with extra features if you want to nerd out on your strength building..Version: 3.14.4

Keeps getting better and better!I started using StrongLifts back in 2016 and keep coming back for more. Honestly, it was an amazing app even back then when it had more limited features simply because it’s a solid program. It’s quick, it’s easy, and all you really need is access to a power rack and and a bar. This app is AMAZING for complete beginners, and the programming is suitable for both sexes alike due the customizable nature of it. I do feel like the form videos could be better by including safety tips (such as how to know when you’re doing it right, and how to safely drop the weights in the event of failure), but I can’t fault the app in the slightest as that’s the guidance you’d normally get from a trainer. I will add that I don’t currently have the pro version, but I’m very excited to get it once my household decides on whether or not we want to jump on it together. It unlocks what looks like at least 100 exercises, which is incredible..Version: 3.17.7

Fantastic for people wanting to build strengthThis app has a very basic routine with a few options to customise but by default it gives you 3 basic moves. It is phenomenal and gives you the basics of wha you need to do to build strength. Highly recommend giving it at least 4 months before you consider something else..Version: 3.15.3

StrongLiftsGreat app, great workouts, great for discipline great progress..Version: 3.12.2

Consistency is keyI’m 49 y old w a dad bod. I’ve been a semi athlete most my life. I jumped onto programs only to peter out soon enough with little to show for it. I’ve an expensive indoor bike, a bunch of old dvds promising to make me shredded and pdfs in my phone full of all kinds of workouts (all just half done and again not much to show for it) I’ve heard of SL for a while and thought that it too can probably end up in the collections. Not true!!! The ease of the app and the program itself is exactly what I need. No extra bells and whistles but pure meat and potatoes. AND it is structured perfectly with just the right amount of intensity that honestly keeps me wanting to come back for more. The duration and choices of exercises are perfect for my busy schedule and by now my muscle soreness is predictable and easy enough to recover from that I can jump into the next workout w no problem. Also my clothes are fitting a bit better and my posture is on point! I feel great. 5 stars for sure. No woke persons’s feelings were intentionally hurt during the writing of this review.Version: 3.16.4

Simple enough I’ll stick to itThe only weight program I’ve ever stuck to because it’s simple and gets awesome results. Went from 20kg bar to 140kg squat. I always come back to this app and it’s probably going to see me grow old strong over the years..Version: 3.16.4

Simple, effective and informativeStrongLifts has changed the game for me. No more wandering around the gym figuring out a plan. After taking some time away from lifting it was easy to get back in and just follow the 5X5 program. When you get the app, you’ll get informative e-mails daily from Mehdi with insightful tips and research based knowledge on why the program works, how to stick with it and more. These e-mails help keep you from overthinking and making the program complex or trying to go to fast. My strength has increased, my overall health is better and it just works. The app has images of how to load the bar quickly so no brain work to try to figure out which plates to load. Each movement has a quick reference for form. The app is so simple and the results are great. Just keep it simple..Version: 3.17

GoodStrongLifts is really good.Version: 3.17.7

The Five PillarsHey everyone, I’ve been using the app on and off for a few years. Lack in consistency is me, not the app lol, this program is by far the most straight forward and transparent program a person can do period. At the start, it’s just five workouts spread out over three days a week with 5lbs added to each successful session. Yes, it will tell you to start with an empty bar, yes this is incredibly embarrassing and and easy and yes unfortunately, you might feel like a goober when you first start. The whole reason why you are starting with an empty bar is to learn prober form and technique. I have hurt myself a few times while doing this program because I wasn’t patient and added weight to fast. If you download this app being a total n00b to the gym then there is no better program in my opinion. This app, paired with Mark Rippetoe’s coaching on starting strength AND the 5x5 guide in the app will set you on the path to Squatting 500lbs. This program if followed correctly will turn you into a monster. If you download this app and follow the program for a few months and quit because you wanna take gear be an influencer and look like Thomas Delarer, ask yourself this. Is it cooler to have a six pack? Or is it cooler to be stronger then everyone else at your gym? In a world filled with misinformation and delusional dreams of grandeur, I swear that you will not find a more honest and open write of this program written by Medhi. What are you waiting for? These boats won’t carry themselves son!.Version: 3.19.3

Very goodGood app. Be good if you were able to name the A and B Programmes as I Mix up the squats with Front and Back..Version: 2.9.8

Jim DAfter a number of years off training after having kids and a major reconstruction surgery this system has allowed me to fit training in around family life and I’m already feeling and seeing benefits. Mixed in with a healthier lifestyle it’s been the change I’ve needed heading into my 40’s!.Version: 2.9.11

Best strength building appIf you’re committed to building strength it’s the best app. There are many options to play within the app (basic options weight increments, frequency of change; and different models of training, assistance work, Madcow program for advanced lifters) So many options it’s hard to mention all. But the basics are simple. The website is like an encyclopaedia of 5x5 knowledge. Spend some time reading it if you’re a beginner or a returning lifter. I had a few questions and Mehdi always replied to me within a day. The app gets regular updates and improvements, any bugs are quickly smashed. I can’t recommended the StrongLifts app enough. It’s THE BEST for strength training.Version: 3.18.2

Nice appFirst time using it today I felt more organized and had a sense of direction as to my workout program.Version: 3.18.2

Solid appPurchased a year. I like it.Version: 3.19.3

GreatThe progressive 5x5 workouts are really effective and this app is great to keep track of your progress both during and across workouts. Recommends the weights to attempt based on previous workouts and times rests between sets. Simple and easy to use. I recommend this to anyone interested in lifting weights..Version: 3.14.2

Exceeded ExpectationsUnrivalled value from a man who just decided to share experience and advice with the world. Others have tried to do the same with the idea of making money their top priority. Mehdi has never made claims that he came up with the concept, nor has he claimed that it’s a long term way of continuing to build strength and muscle. He has however helped millions like me just by simply showing us the way. Mehdi deserves a bigger following..Version: 3.5

Fantastic content but..The app keeps crashing to home, I need to open multiple times again before starting training and trying to view graphs. And also after training has finished and I want to browse the app. During the workout though zero crashes..Version: 3.11

All You NeedBottom line up front, this app is all you need. It’s obvious it was made by someone that actually lifts. The interface is clean and workflow is set up in such a way that maximizes the weight moved as efficiently as possible. No more endless typing in sets, reps, and weights. You just tap and move on to the next. You literally don’t have to think. This lets you stay focused on moving weight. All that said this app has plenty of customization. If you can build a program with pencil and paper or a spreadsheet, then you can pretty much build it in stronglifts. There are plenty of 5x5 variations built in with each having multiple templates. You shouldn’t get bored. Your workout data is stored locally or can optionally be synced with the cloud. You can also export the data and do all kinds of spreadsheet metric and chart analysis. Every exercise has both text and video instructions of how to perform with proper form. There are also plenty of supplemental exercises to utilize to work around injuries or issues. In addition to being a great app, you also basically get a coach in your pocket. You can choose to receive Mehdi’s daily email, which I highly recommend, that covers all aspects of lifting with actual reference scientific studies from his decades of experience. He will also personally respond to questions and offer advice. Overall, subscribe or buy; you won’t have regrets..Version: 3.19.3

StrongLifts reviewSuch a good app! Most fitness apps are cluttered with rubbish trying to sell you things and I was struggling to find anything that was clean and tracked workouts easily - StrongLifts does that and is customisable to your own workout. I’d love an alarm feature for the timer that you can set for each exercise so you know when the time is up without having to be always checking your phone..Version: 3.19.3

Great app, not just for 5x5Positive first: If you’re planning to follow the 5x5 workout, then this the app. At age 44 it took me from absolute beginner at the gym to squatting 105kg 3x5. If you want to switch to any workout, you can still use the app to track you work and progress, just make a new workout and add your exercises. I’m currently using to track a push/pull/leg 3 times a week split. Edit: upgraded to a 5* review after developer’s feedback..Version: 3.17.7

5x5 strong lift workoutAbsolutely love this workout!!! Safely and effectively makes you stronger ladies this program works! I have never been able to squat over my body weight without feeling like I’m being crushed. This program gets you strong so you feel the weight is easy to move!! 💛 Highly recommend! NF.Version: 2.12

ExcellentBeen doing strong lifts for a while, and getting the app has made it so much easier to keep track of all the numbers.Version: 2.5.8

All you needI’m 47, I used to run and lift occasionally and love always got injured. When I tried StrongLifts, l do my workouts in the efficient manner and save time. Complete and friendly user App.Version: 3.18

Take lifting seriouslyI’ve been lost for direction for years since focussing purely on weight loss and then I came across the SL 5x5 and it’s honestly amazing. Being one of the few logging apps that has a free version and a lifetime payment option which also does the plate maths for me is a lifesaver. Can’t wait for I see what I can achieve using Mehdi’s advice and second to none app! Overall it takes the thinking out of logging and plans so you can just focus on getting stronger!.Version: 3.17

Genuinely good appI say genuine because Mehdi is clearly focused on helping people lift first. The app is fully functional in the free version and can take you super far. It has kept me honest better than any workout has and I just enjoy the program too. By the grace of god I will get better at ohp though that exercise hates me.Version: 3.19.4

Very handyI thought it would be crappy but it is quite handy in the gym- not only can u record your reps at each weight but it gives you a handy count down timer. The timer helps keep me focused. Also after you successfully complete your goals it automatically updates the next weight targets. Booya.Version: 2.1.13

The best weightlifting app everI love this app and have recommended it to multiple people. If you want to really increase your strength, overall fitness and balance (with added benefit of looking better), this is your app. I’ve been weightlifting for 30 years and this is the program I come back to anytime I’ve been injured, coming off a running cycle or to switch up my workouts to focus on strength increases. The plan is simple but the app makes it very efficient and easy to track the progress you make. And you will make lots of progress. Give this a try for at least 8 weeks and then reflect back on how far you’ve come and you’ll be blown away. I’d also recommend reading the long explanation of the program on the author’s website. It’s very helpful and you’ll find yourself more motivated the better you understand the science behind why this works and avoid a lot of common missteps people always make when they pursue this without expert advice and a disciplined plan..Version: 2.10.1

Get Strong FastWhenever I do these workouts I feel better at work. Builds back muscles for driving. Sometimes a miss a couple weeks, but then I de-load as suggested and I am right back on track. ps It’s ok to plateau staying at the same weight is fine. This app builds you up when you’ve been slacking. I start at 105, build to 120, stay there, get busy for a couple weeks. Star right back at the beginning. :).Version: 3.18.1

Great app & top notch supportHave been using this app for a while and love using it from my Apple Watch. Great app to keep you on track. I had recent issue with expiry not showing correctly. The support was great and the problem was resolved with the latest update. I was kept up to date along the way, so felt very appreciative and supported. Great job all and keep up the good work!!!.Version: 3.12.2

What a great Training AidStrongLifts is more than just an App, it’s a complete training aid and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone wanting to ether start weight training or use it to reach their own full potential! Medi provides guides to everything and constant advice and training tips via email for every aspect of training you need and all of this tailored for beginners to professionals alike. There is no doubt in my mind that this is one, if not the very best training aids out there, believe me it’s so much more than just an App!.Version: 3.18

Recent updates have been buggy.I use the app a lot but the recent updates have been prone to bugs and errors..Version: 2.5.3

Highly recommend!!I am a 47 year old man. I’ve never lifted before in my life. I was out of shape and overweight. I started the StrongLifts 5x5 workout four months ago. My personal results have been phenomenal so far. The transformation of my body has been nothing short of amazing. I’ve gained way more muscle than I expected in this short of a time. I still have stubborn visceral fat that I am trying to lose so I recently added HIIT on the rowing machine on my off days. I can’t wait to see where I’m at in another four months!!!! Thank you for this workout!!! And the App makes it so much easier than trying to keep track of everything yourself. Do yourself a favor and start the StrongLifts workout, download this app, and once you see how awesome it is, upgrade to the paid version. Very well might be the best ten bucks I’ve ever spent in my life; literally!!.Version: 2.8.18

Almost perfect - recommendedAs I have a home gym, the plates and weights are not standard, so I have to do manual calculations. It'd be awesome if I could setup my own bar weight and plate sets. The subscription is very expensive; the free version does basically what I need, so I might go back to that. EDIT: dev has replied with instructions on how to get to the feature I requested. This is pretty cool; I just think this option should be more obvious (part of settings maybe?)..Version: 3.19.4

So happy with the resultsI started using the app and following the programme about 6 weeks ago and I can already see and feel the effect. I can focus on simple exercises and challenge myself a little bit more every time I train. I’m the kind of skinny guy who has tried for years to gain some mass and this programme (along with changes in my diet) have showed me that consistency and discipline is key. I’ve paid for pro membership now so I’m really looking forward to the updates and new developments. For now, I can totally recommend it..Version: 2.9.10

Love the app but...How much to unlock the warm up sets. More than happy to support the app but want to know the price before purchasing. Keep up the good work though. Cheers.Version: 2.2

Does what it says on the boxGreat app. Good design, easy to use and has some really good content. Really helps with motivation to stay on track with the 5x5 programme..Version: 2.7.4

Best AppI have been using this app from last 1 year and Now my deadlift is 140 kg and bench is 100 Kg and squat is 120kg. Thanks 5X5.Version: 2.11.1

Awesome simple and effectiveI’m over forty and have significant damage to most of my body from old motorcycle accidents. I was seeing a physiotherapist for a bad back and sore knees who told me to lose weight and put my into lifting to build more muscles and core strength. So I found 5x5 and am now stronger than I have ever been I have almost no pain in my back or knees now after 3 months looking forward to seeing the results after a year. Thank you for this amazing free app and I am buying the full version just to say thanks..Version: 2.9.23

ExcellentThis app rocks. So easy and clear to use, no frills and no bs. After a 5 year break from all fitness due to injuries this has been exactly what I needed to get back into shape. Only 6 weeks in and already seeing and feeling really good results. In another 12 months I will be an absolute beast. Also received great support from the developer when requested last week. Very happy..Version: 3.4

The only fitness app you will ever needUsing this app I have been able to systematically increase my strength while focusing on the core compound movements. Highly recommend that you buy the full version to take advantage of the warmup instructions and plate calculator, it is much better value than any personal trainer or other paid online program!.Version: 3.19.2

Excellent lifting app.Recommended to beginners and experienced lifters.Version: 3.13.3

Great AppThis app has an excellent interface which makes keeping track of everything very easy. It follows a great workout program and automatically makes adjustments as required. It also allows for user adjustments to be made adding extra weight as desired to a workout. Whenever I have an extended break from strength training this is the app I always come back to to start my reconditioning. No matter how I am feeling mental on any given day for training this app allows me to keep track, the only thing I really have to think about is counting to 5..Version: 3.0.2

Best Weight Training app I've used!Great app - I like how simple it is to navigate, its very clean and uncluttered. The warm up section is great - something that I often neglect, however I won't from now on. Also like the reminder function for when rest periods have expired, much simpler than either using the gym clock or a watch and getting distracted. Looking forward to continuing my strength training journey with this app. Five Stars.Version: 2.9.24

ExcellentA great app which I’ve been using off and on for 7 years. Very extensible you can add any program not just 5x5..Version: 3.15.1

Excellent Workout Plan and AppThe StrongLifts 5x5 protocol is the most complete, most effective, easiest to follow, and most rewarding workout plan I’ve ever used. At it’s core are the fundamentals. The fundamentals are exercises considered to be fundamental because they have always worked to build strength, and always will. Heavy weights and basic compound movements are fundamental to strength. Every exercise is compound in nature, maximizing the effectiveness and minimizing the time investment. This program can easily be done in a weight-based home gym environment with minimal investment for ease and safety. The supporting exercise guides and videos are the most complete and comprehensive I’ve ever seen or used. Very well done, and I review them often to ensure that I maintain good form. It is well worth every minute spent reviewing them. I have not experienced any weight lifting related injuries in the 2-3 years I’ve been using it. The app is fabulous. Great guide and tracking tool. Very well done, and Medhi is continuously improving it. I add pull-ups one day, and chin-ups and dips the next. Add some ab work behind each workout if you wish. Under an hour for everything 3 times/week. I strongly recommend StrongLifts 5x5. Doug.Version: 3.13.3

The thing that's kept me lifting for 5 yearsI'm a petite woman and there was a point long ago where the weight rooms at the gym seemed intimidating so I would stick to cardio. I've been using Stronglifts for the past 5 years and it's been such a core part of my lifting routine and helped me feel comfortable and supported when I first started. Mehdi, the creator of this app, is also super frigging awesome and is quick to respond to all of my feedback every time I email their support. You can tell he reads through *everything* and really cares about creating a good experience and helping people build their best self. What's more is the app had improved constantly over the 5 years I've used it. It's never at a standstill. 10/10 would recommend..Version: 3.11

Great app, best I've found so far!Really love this app, it's easy to use, simple, the training regime is straightforward. Great way to improve strength gradually. Lots of good features including timer. Good history and graphs to show gains made. Tried lots of apps and this is the best I've found and saves carrying paper and pen programs around. I’ve now purchased the pro subscription, loving the variations in Madcow..Version: 3.17.7

What a JourneyI’ve been with Mehdi for years and loved watching the app grow and adapt. I can’t workout without it now. Simple enough for beginners with plenty of form tips and videos, but advanced enough for people who want to change, customise and create their own exercises intervals reps and sets. Thank you for maintaining the app and responding to our queries over the years 💪🏼.Version: 3.15.3

SimplesSo bloody obvious and easy to use. How many times before getting this app was I unsure of how many sets I had done and what rest I had taken or forgot to enter last weeks weight increase . The simplest things are often the best. Brilliant results as you would expect if you religiously followed any program. But we don’t because they are to annoyingly complicated and involve so many weight changes mid session..Version: 2.10.6

Excellent appThis app is fantastic, tracks your reps for each set, tracks your progress, maps out your next routine and has a timer for between sets which is a huge advantage. Couldn't ask for a better app!!.Version: 2.1.17

Great value for moneyI used this app about 4/5 years ago and it was good then but it has improved since then with its ease of use, knowledge base, sync and backup. I like the simplicity of this workout but also that I can add other exercises later as I progress to mix it up. I’ll admit I’m a big fan of the foundations and for a lot of people this may appear “boring”. But it gets results and that’s all that matters to me..Version: 3.12.2

This is it!First of all the exercise program works, it’s fools proofed. Take some time to read the website, anything that you’d like to know it’s there without fluff, just facts... lots of them. Then the app just makes it easy to implement. I just started working out after 15 years, this program has been perfect. First I did it all in my head, which was ok, then I started using the free app and it got easier (no need to remember weights or count sets, the timer takes care of itself) when I saw that I’ll stick to it, I bought the full version and the time at the gym improved even more, it’s like playing a record and dancing to the music, totally worth it. I’m leaner and stronger in a few months, lifting more weight than some of the longtime regulars at the gym I found when I joined..Version: 2.9.26

AmazingI never write reviews for apps, but stronglifts has kept me on track and provided great results. Thanks Medhi!.Version: 3.19.3

AmazingAmazing updates and sync with Apple Watch. 10/10.Version: 3.18.2

There is no replacement for hard work.Full disclosure, I’m a life long skinny guy, 6 feet tall and 155 lbs. My friends hate me because I can eat whatever I want and never gain a pound. This has its draw backs though. True raw power requires weight. As a firefighter there are things I need to do that require raw power to get done. These tasks would take me longer to do. I have tried for years to put on weight and gain that ever allusive raw power. 5x5 was the answer for me. I would never dodge the hard work and commitment of lifting free weights. I just didn’t know the proper way to put on mass. (And I hated squats). The 5x5 program worked for me. After one year I put on 19lbs. My squat went from a very uncomfortable and awkward 135lbs to 260lbs with perfect form. I am much faster at my job now and my recovery time is a lot shorter. Thank you for putting this app out there for guys like me..Version: 2.10.4

Essential trainingI’ve been training ~15 years in all types of ways. There are many effective ways of getting in shape, being stronger, being faster etc but the simplest way is 5x5. This is my foundation to all my training, and should serve as a foundation to all whether you’re a beginner or seasoned pro. Pay for the app too, show support, unlock the features and don’t waste your time on complexity. Strong is happy - enjoy.Version: 2.9.26

Great appVery useful!.Version: 2.8.12

A rare gemA rare gorgeously styled native app. StringLifts is a breath of fresh air amongst a sea if cheap cross platform apps. Easy 5/5 (pun intended)..Version: 3.18

Great little app for keeping track of you poundages.Like the ease of use and efficient gui. Would like some sort of easy visual progress review though as the current list in session order is a bit messy looking. Maybe a graph for each movement? But thats just being picky. Thanks.Version: 1.1

Amazing programI’ve been powerlifting for a number of years and i always find myself coming back to this program. (with the addition of my own accessory work) only thing I’d recommend for advanced lifters is running a deadlift volume program along side this. Helped me reach a 560kg total and national records.. BUY THIS APP.Version: 2.9

Beginners friendlyI have not been to the gym in decades. This program is so easy to follow and after 3 weeks I can see and feel improvement in my body. $15 is not too bad if you compare it to some of the other programs available.Version: 2.10.7

Do it for yourselfA superficial view of this program would be one of ignorance, as it goes deeper than pure muscle gain. The 5x5 not only strengthens your body, but if you follow through, it promises to strengthen your mind as well. While this sounds cliché, the amount of time it takes just to get to a 100 pound squat will definitely test your patience. When was the last time you’ve made a year-long commitment to something not involving love? Sticking with this program gives you the drive to continue to look forward in life and expand upon your other goals farther than next week, month, year, etc. to the point where your main focus is to be a better you, no matter the timescale. If I’ve learned this only three weeks in, imagine what you can learn about yourself in three months. So do yourself a favor, and commit to your future..Version: 3.11

Solid App for developing StrengthThis is an app I have come back to time and again over the past few years. It provides a tried and tested, easy to follow program which I have found to provide great results, particularly as a novice strength trainer or are returning to strength training following a break or, as in my case, an injury. I have always found this app easy to navigate and the program easy to follow. I would certainly recommend this app to someone looking to start strength training. The only downside that I have found, is that after improving up to a certain point, it is possible to fall into a cycle of reaching a certain weight, failing to complete the required sets so dropping the weight back down, only to fail again on the way up. All in all an excellent program, although it may have its limitations as you become a more advanced trainer..Version: 2.15.7

The holy grail at 45We all want to exercise. Get fit. Look better. Feel better. But there are way too many options out there today. It’s a true paradox of choice. But StrongLifts cuts through the noise. And eliminates so many barriers for beginners like me. What to do. When to do it. How to do it. It’s beauty is in its simplicity. But it’s also not too simple at all. The app is so worth the price. It gets you started. And then includes customization to keep things interesting once you have the basics down. And the basic strength to handle a bit more. I’m stronger, happier, and I get excited for each workout like a kid in a candy store. A long way from last year when I was anxious, weak, and afraid to walk into a gym. Thanks Mehdi!!.Version: 3.19.8

NotificationI had given a review saying it would be good to have an audible notification when it’s time for another set. It was my fault, i had the iphone audible notification button ton off. It could be an idea to add a little text to say to check that option for an audible notification. Thanks! Great app!.Version: 3.18

Game changerPragmatic No BS in a world of fluff stands out and just makes sense.Version: 3.18.1

Does the jobSimple and effective work out routines. Gets results..Version: 3.13.6

Brilliant app - Simple but effectiveThis is by far the best workout app I’ve ever used! The StrongLifts programme has given me great results and the app itself makes following the programme so easy - you can just open it up and go, but there are also plenty of options you can tweak to suit your equipment, schedule, and goals. I personally find the Pro subscription good value for some really handy extra features. The plate calculator in particular makes workouts so much easier! The customer support is also brilliant - I reported one small bug and received an email from the dev just a few hours later and an update arrived within days. Couldn’t recommend it enough!.Version: 3.13.5

Solid AppExcellent app. Skips the gimmicks that other programs use and just hits what you need to progress in the gym and get stronger. The emails are really informative and well researched..Version: 3.18.1

Easy to Use: More MotivatedBefore having a kid I was in great shape, worked out daily, and strength trained. During my pregnancy, I had to stop doing all that because my pregnancy was a rough go. After having my son I didn’t work out much anymore because I was no longer what I used to be and it was disheartening. I felt unmotivated and had a hard time getting back into working out. I wanted to go back to old routines but it was a lot made me feel like I would never get back in shape. I started this app because of a friend recommended it. I like it now because it’s easy to use, sets a rest timer, and calculates your progress. I may not be seeing physical results right now, but I can definitely see them as my workouts get tracked with this app. It’s motivating to workout more and it feels good. Having something simple to start off with has really made me feel like I can get back to my former levels of lifting. I can’t to see where I’m at 12 weeks from now!.Version: 2.11.4

Focus on the work yourself, this app takes care of all the restThis app has everything you need, set up intuitively and laid out accessibly. Easy to use, easy to customize workouts, and excellent for tracking progress. Warm up weights and sets are all calculated and increment automatically as you progress; all you need to do is lift the weight. There is also a great wealth of resources including form videos and the stronglifts guide. My workouts and progress tracking have never been so efficient. I can’t recommend this app enough! I wish I had found it much earlier in my fitness journey. As for the program itself, I am just starting week 9 of Stronglifts and I have gained ~15 lbs of muscle, have had to start buying medium shirts instead of smalls, and have noticed visual gains on my body already. The program is tried and tested and will definitely make you gains if you follow as suggested and eat plenty food! Go make those gains!.Version: 3.15.4

New to the gymBeen using StrongLifts for two months and have really enjoyed its simple to use functions that take the thinking out of the equation. Went back to the gym and the program automatically recognized that I’d been off for 6 days, where it preceded to strongly suggest I de-load for this workout. Didn’t even know it did this and as I’m new to this I didn’t even think about de loading. I picked this app over others because of its straight forward approach, plate calculator and warmup menu. Added bonus is the daily emails answering most of the questions that I’ve conjured up with concise answers and factual information to support positions being answered..Version: 3.18.1

Nice design and useable program.A lovely combination of a tasteful design. (Rare in fitness apps), a reasonable set of features, and programs that are simple but effective. I use the app to create my own program in addition to the elegantly simple and effective 5x5, as I’m currently rehabbing a sore knee which i injured outside of this exercise program. Adding to the review, that the support and attentiveness to making it better is top notch..Version: 3.17.7

My favourite fitness app 💯I was a bit dubious about the app after trying so many, however to my surprise both me & my girlfriend are really enjoying the simplicity, constant change between the two workouts and most of all the results 😁 The graphs tracking your increases are really motivating especially looking back monthly & thinking “Wow, I’ve actually got stronger really quickly” Also, since the workouts don’t take forever, we’ve been able to add in cardio or isolation on alternative days as a supplement for a quick 10-15 mins which make each workout feel different whilst keeping the foundation exercises - Love it! 💪🏽.Version: 2.10.4

Great, Plain & SimpleThis app is great! I love the simplicity of it, I think it reflects the training plan perfectly. I like that I don’t have to calculate how much weight I need to add to progress it’s done automatically! Just roll up to the gym and train without having to fiddle about going through multiple menus to change sets and reps. The only grip I have is when you’ve done your set and tapped in you’re reps a rest timer pops up at the bottom which is handy but is hard to close when you’re rest time is up which leaves you tapping the phone like a madman, haha. Other than that this app is flawless! 👌.Version: 2.9.15

BrilliantSimple and easy to use. Very intuitive. Highly recommend using the app while doing the 5x5 program..Version: 2.6.7

Very good appVery good app.Version: 3.17.7

A great way to begin weight training. The exercises this app promotes are an excellent start to strength training. That being said, users must be aware that progressive overload must go hand in hand with proper form. I have found that some exercises like squats and over head press caused lower back. It took me years to realise I had to do glute bridges to waken and strengthen my glutes then I started to enjoy squats. Overhead press I learned I had to constantly squeeze my glutes before I started to find proper form. These small tweaks are needed to master proper form and prevent injury. Go slow at first, exercising should be hard work but should be fun to get the most from your workout. This app is worth it for at least the first year of strength training. Good luck..Version: 3.11.4

Simple, easy to follow, worksI love this app…. Always been a bit intimidated by weight lifting and I’m rubbish at remembering weights, sets and reps. This app with the Apple Watch has been a revelation… keeps me on track, I don’t even have to think about anything. Follow the plan, do the work, results will come..Version: 3.19.9

StrongLiftsI’m a 58 yr old woman I have always exercised and looked after myself I’ve had many trainers I started this app April of this year and have already surpassed a lot of my personal bests when I was with my trainers Love love love this app It’s so user friendly and support is always there if you have questions Thank you so much Jules.Version: 3.18.1

The best weightlifting appThe best app for lifting I have used. Clean integration with Apple Watch, easy to use, and just the right level of ability to customize workouts. Pro version is worth it for extra features and to support the app!.Version: 3.18.1

Great appDoes the job. Makes getting stronger very easy. Read the guide first. I encourage you to also buy Pro, it’s very cheap and includes all the features if you’re serious about lifting. Great for beginners and experienced lifters. It tracks your progress and has built-in app features with a lot of depth and detail. I ran into a minor issue with the app where it was telling me to buy Pro despite having already purchased it, which was an annoyance but it wasn’t much of an issue as I were still able to use Pro, however, I contacted support and they sorted it out within no time with a new update so the customer service is also spot on. Just get the app, buy Pro and enjoy lifting in an easier, more convenient way! You won’t regret it one bit..Version: 3.13.3

Great guide! This app helped me return to workout after 3 long years, a great simple product but keeps you check and just is what is required, nothing unnecessary.Version: 3.19.2

Stronglifts 5x5 best way to track workoutsI stumbled upon StrongLifts 10 years ago when I was in high school. It’s a solid program for gaining strength and mass in conjunction with GOMAD which helped me put on 16kg of mass in high school. Since then I have used StrongLifts to rebuild my strength before going into more intermediate programs. I would definitely recommend StrongLifts to anyone starting out..Version: 2.8.18

RichardBrilliant app helps you track your progress love it gone from squatting around 35kg nearly squatting 60 kg in about 3 weeks brilliant for strength my advice work your way up gradually works better that way I also stop doing this for about a year tried other workouts and got nowhere I’ve just started back and in the process of purchasing a squat rack so I’m only doing the bench press and deadlift and row but you can’t get to your full potential unless you squat no other exercise comes close for gains.Version: 2.9.12

Great app!Very good for creating a workout and keeping it short. Timed reminders on my phone and watch allow me to keep on track.Version: 3.18

Awesome appI’ve used StrongLifts on and off for a couple of years now and It has helped with gaining strength at a steady pace and is also great after a break to get motivated again. Easy to use app and form vids help out to make sure your doing them correctly. Would highly recommend to beginners as that is how I started..Version: 3.13.3

Best app/program for beginnersThis app/program has helped immensely in my journey to start going to the gym. It takes all the guessing out, it gives you a clear understanding of what to do when you go to the gym. My workouts right now take about 30 minutes give or take. I’m usually in and out of the gym in an hour. I can tell I am lifting heavier weights and improving. I’ve lifted in the past but had no idea what I was doing and always would suffer from muscle soreness/doms. I can tell I’m getting a little sore now after my workouts but I’m still recovered 100% by the next workout and ready to rock it. I plan on sticking with this for as long as I can then going to the 5x5 plus and adding in more of my own just accessory exercises. Either way, great app, great program. Could not recommend it enough..Version: 3.19.5

Great structure for workoutsI bought a home gym setup last year and been using this app to help make sure I follow a structured workout. It’s great for tracking the weight you’re lifting (and making sure you increase it), counting sets and making sure you’re resting for the right amount of time between sets. Also if you miss a few workouts it will warn you and ask you if you want to reduce the weight..Version: 2.9

Good for motivationI have taken up weight training in my 60’s to maintain health and strength - I find the StrongLifts app very motivating including when I missed a couple of weeks due to mild illness when the app automatically de-loaded to help me get back into it. I find the web pages very helpful for developing good “form”. Recommended for anyone my age taking up resistance training - try it, you won’t regret it!.Version: 3.6.1

Great app!Super functional and easy to use. Thanks!.Version: 3.10

Just keeps getting betterI’ve been on and off this app for years - I often will break to go do 6 months of CrossFit or some other different program. Every time I revisit this app, I’m always impressed with the improvements the team has made. Apple Watch support is a game changer, and the library of movements is so vast now that you can customize your programs about as much as you could hope for. It would be cool to have some more pre-built programs for intermediate and advanced lifters, but until that happens customization is easy enough that you can find any program online and build it in the app. The interface is hands down the best I’ve seen, and the app is all about progressive overload which is the best way to get those sweet gains. Looking forward to seeing the results from my next 12-week cycle. A+++.Version: 3.5

Simple & EffectiveNice app. It does what it needs to do and does it well. It would be nice if it included technique photos or form tips for beginners, but overall it's an excellent training app..Version: 1.1

Great appSimple and easy to use app for a simple no nonsense lifting program. Note: I bought the power pack, so everything is unlocked for me. Edit: After using this app for over 1 year: I have been using this app in tandem with some cardio work on the off days and I don't make massive gains progress, but I am happy with the results. When people ask me what routine I'm on, this is the app I recommend. It's is simple in execution and yet you can customize your accessory work to meet your personal goals in addition to building strength. Oly lifts, bodybuilding focus, any exercise you want to add can be made to work in the custom assistant exercise settings. Even with my running/rowing cardio I have had some impressive gains in strength over the last year..Version: 3.9

Best workout app/tracker by farBeen using this app for years on and off. You get so much from the free version, and even then the premium membership cost is super reasonable. You'll only want to upgrade after using the app for a while anyways because the program it comes with is fantastic. It's so nice to have my whole history tracked and helps me get back to previous bests and push through them when I'm ready. There's so many customization options and features to make it so you really don't need any other resources outside of it. Support has always been top notch as well. Truly have nothing bad to say about the app, it's everything you could want from a lifting program and tracker. I'm planning to buy the lifetime membership once my current subscription runs out. Haven't ever done that with any other app but it's worth it without a doubt.Version: 3.14.4

Very usefulExcellent app works well and fairly easy to use.Version: 3.18.2

Great app, highly recommend it.I downloaded this app a long time ago. I finally got around to using it and I’m kicking myself that I took so long. I had been a member of a gym, attending small group sessions with a trainer performing a circuit of mostly machine exercises. A change in jobs made this option inconvenient and expensive for me. I knew that I needed the structure that this kind of program offered, otherwise I would just get bored and frustrated with the experience. This app provides a well-defined, easy to follow plan, with a great interface. Following the program and using the app really simplifies my whole gym experience. Personally, I don’t like having to decide what exercises to complete for how many reps, at what weight, etc. I got the structure that I needed from StrongLifts. Tapping the screen after finishing a set is a helpful mental milestone, the rest timer between sets keeps me focused, and after completing a StrongLifts session I feel like I’ve accomplished something. Far from dreading the experience, I’m already planning my rest, nutrition, and schedule for my next session. My iPhone case has a “steelie” magnet (for a car mount) stuck to the back, allowing me to stick my iPhone to the power rack that I’m using. Very convenient and helpful for keeping track of sets. StrongLifts interfaces with Apple Health to log workout time. I’d like to see interaction with my Fitbit app as well..Version: 2.9.6

Strong lifterFantastic app! Been using for 1 month and feeling stronger already plus bit less of a gut as my trousers fit looser already!.Version: 2.7.8

Best of the BestI haven’t lifted weights for decades, long before phone apps were available. I started lifting again to lose weight, gain strength and become more fit. I started with a different app but didn’t like it. I much prefer StrongLifts for several reasons. The developer has several very informative articles to help me get started. I had not heard of the 5x5 lift program, so I read the background articles. The developer explained that I don’t need to spend hours working out every day and why the 5x5 works. So, I am following the beginner program. It is easy to follow and easy to fit into my schedule. I find the whole process to be inspiring. Also, support is excellent. They have responded to every email I have sent in less than 24 hours with detailed easy to understand answers..Version: 3.19.3

Love the program and appI love this program and the app, I’ve purchased the pro version. I’ve been using this for about a year or two on and off - the only issue I have with the application is the use of accessories or how the app implements them. I don’t seem to be able to delete custom accessories - I have three versions of barbell curls in my app because I can’t delete them, if I add one barbell curl to my routine it adds all of them - the only thing I can think from a developers standpoint is the app is working of a string allocation as opposed to an Id allocation - regardless, very frustrating as you’ve gotta try like 20 times to get the routine as desired..Version: 2.9.9

Best weight lifting app no exaggerationI did stronglifts before years ago before my fitness life took a detour into crossfit. But recently I've concluded that for most schedules and budgets stronglifts is all that you really need. It's blindingly simple, easy to start and stick to, and most importantly IT WORKS. Now, in the past I tracked my progress with a clunky spreadsheet on the phone. It was fine but not ideal. This app has transformed that. There is no typing involved. No planning ahead. Just show up to your gym, open the app, and start checking off completed sets. If you're a novice let me tell you: exercise is actually the easiest part of working out. The hard part is getting started and then sticking with it. At least for me, this app has made those challenges way easier to overcome. Oh and always remember to warm up. The pro version of this app will help you do that too and if you're already paying for a gym membership the additional cost should be basically negligible..Version: 2.9.10

From zero to 1 year liftingChanged body weight, shape, strength, fitness from total beginner, zero experience to 1 year+ of consistent training. Using only the App, website, uploading to Facebook group workout video and having community give feedback. Results 74kg chubby small guy to 80kg muscular frame, lean muscle mass defined. 34yo, 0 lifting experience prior to app, tried a few PTs & amateur workout groups that didn’t help, this is it! Keep going, page 1 of my apps. Tracking progress:history page really helps..Version: 2.10.6

Weightlifting made easySo I was never a big gym guy. I was more of a marathon runner. The lone runner you know all that. And then one day this guy shows up in my training group and he’s an absolute beast. I don’t usually comment on the appearance of others for obvious reasons, but I could not help myself. I said, where did you get the body and he said StrongLifts. So I looked into it. Then it was a website and a program you on paper on the computer. He didn’t have the app back on. But when I started it, it was amazing. I was doing it during Covid and I ended up squatting 180 pounds. I couldn’t squat the bar when I started. But what I love about the program is it’s very addictive because you see results. When you successfully perform your lift, you add 5 pounds the next time. This quite quickly adds up. Also, it gives you something to do. It tells you exactly what to do every day. You work out three times a week you only do five exercises. There’s videos so you can see exactly how the lift is supposed to be done. The form. And I used to go to a gym and not know what to do. Now with this app, I know exactly what to do every time. I love this app and it’s made me so much stronger..Version: 3.18.1

FlawlessPerfect app, does everything you need it too. Would recommend the paid content too, makes things that little bit easier..Version: 2.7.9

StrogliftsKISS love StrongLifts Keep it natural.Version: 3.19.6

My go to strength training appSimple program for increasing strength relatively quickly. Set your starting weights and start lifting. Everything else is done for you, warmups, which weight/ plates. Just eat right and sleep well. Even if you start on the bar, as long as you follow the program, you will be hitting 90kg squats in around 12 weeks Great program for coming back to when you want to get you max up for other training programs. Just get it and do it. You will be a Stronglifts god!! 😁.Version: 3.10

Gold standard for trainingI’ve been using the 5x5 program for the past few years and have had great results with it, a great program for all training levels, from beginners to those that’s been meaning to get back on a training routine again. Best program and the best app which package the program along with other exercises included if you’re looking to create your own personal program..Version: 3.15.1

Great Workout AppThe app has really simplified my workout. It does it all sets weight, sets warm ups and monitors progress. It also works seamlessly with my Apple Watch which means I do not have to carry my phone around the gym. I am really enjoying using the app and the ability to monitor my progress over time..Version: 3.19.9

Helped me a huge amount with liftingI have had a few periods on and off with lifting, trying to get into it and make progress, but I always suffered from a lack of direction, idea of what weights to lift, and generally had a lack of progress. However, after only using this app for 8 weeks, I have made huge progress and increased all my lifts by 50%. In 8 weeks I have gone from having not used the gym for months, to probably being in the best shape of my life, and being motivated to go to the gym 3-4 times a week because I see good progress each time. The app is fantastic, easy to use and you can use their website to find detailed description of form etc. Would 100% recommend this app..Version: 2.8.14

Excellent App! And customizable!I have been active in the weight room and part of a training program before. Mostly in HS and college. And since then I have had trouble keeping track of my workouts, where to start, how to progress, etc. This app has completely taken care of all of that. It allows me to completely customize several workouts through which I rotate. I can also make and add custom workout exercises. If you are at all apprehensive about this app, please just try it. And if you think you can do more with the app- buy a subscription. I bought a 1-year subscription, to try it out. It has kept me on track, motivated, and accountable to my routine. I began with the bar and have slowly progressed to some serious weights. This app will provide you with everything except getting you into the gym, but by tracking your progress it sure helps..Version: 3.0.5

Works EXACTLY like it shouldExcellent balance between minimum required functionality for free and good subscription price for the extras. Never crashes, never loses data, naturally does exactly what you want it to do..Version: 3.18.1

I hope they keep improvingIf you work it on workout days only and back it up and shut it down, works good with no bugs. Sometimes I want to look ahead, which is trickier. It admonishes you for starting the next workout too soon and it will delete your previous logged workout if you forget to hit “Done” before doing something else in the app. No biggie, there is a way to re-enter a workout on a specific day (this is good also if you started 5x5 before getting the app). It also doesn’t remember the google login I use to back it up but instead defaults to my main account so I have to enter everything over again each time. Still gets 5 stars because it does everything it’s supposed to do and the extras like the videos and progress graphs really help and make it fun..Version: 2.9.4

Great straight forward programSimple and it works. Best of all its free and they don’t annoy you to subscribe to the extras!.Version: 3.19.8

Great app for making progressThis app (and the stronglifts program) will really help a beginner lifter. You won't feel so out of place in the gym since you know exactly what you need to do, and in no time you'll be up to the real weights. Highly recommend!.Version: 2.5.2

A tool for lifeJust bought premium cos over the years of on and off training it’s just that meat and vege staple app to do the 3x5 SS novice linear progression program…i lost all my strength from running a heap but i know how to get it back and where to go for the app. well done guys love the app - it’s been a while but nice to be back!.Version: 3.19.7

Exactly what I neededAs a beginner, perfect for what I need. Helped so much with understanding how the body functions and why your body behaves in certain ways which in turn helps implement how to get the best out of your body to improve it. Recommend the app and reading the accompanying web page..Version: 2.11.1

Great for those that need help working outThis app is great for those that need extra help working out. I’m 35 years old and was very athletic when I was younger. I was so athletic that working out came naturally and I didn’t have to pay attention to what I was doing. Now I’m an adult and my body doesn’t exercise it’s for me. I also don’t remember what I did when I was younger. A friend told me about this app and it’s great! Better than most personal workout instructors. When life keeps me from working out the app notices and lowers my weight so I don’t injure myself! I have a coworker that has a personal workout instructor and they don’t do that when they notice they haven’t worked out a particular muscle group! I stared with the free version and upgraded just to send them money to show how much o appreciate this app..Version: 3.8.1

Simple and easy to useI used this app for around 7 months. I used the paid version for most of that time, I liked the additional exercises and the plate calculator. I stopped using the app when I moved on to an intermediate program. I started back on it again to build up after lockdown , but I’m only using the free as I can do the plate maths in my head and I don’t need accessory exercises. Another lockdown later and I’m 8 weeks in on track for my PR’s in a month or so. Ive just got the paid version again to try out madcow. You make good progress with StrongLifts and it’s easy to follow, you just need to get to the rack 3 times per week. I chose SL 5x5 over starting strength as I want something very simple to use..Version: 3.10

(Nearly) Perfect AppGreat app. Tried them all (well dozen or more), but this strikes the right balance between simplicity and comprehensive. Love the planning & timer etc etc. Two gripes; there are bugs - editing a custom 6-day over two week plan, and the dates keep changing (and back again) when manually assigning day. Very annoying. Second, the sync between devices (ipad/phone/watch) is flakey with it frequently not acknowledging a change on the additional devices. And lastly, a suggestion; it’d be great to have an hrm readout on the screen (and recorded?) so if we’re doing emotm workouts we oldies don’t die!.Version: 3.0.2

Good stuff MehdiNice you made an app I was using a pen and paper.Version: 2.9.1

Amazing App!I tried half a dozen weight lifting apps before StrongLifts, all with pros and cons, but none of them come close to how refined and polished StrongLifts is. The app implements the 5x5 system perfectly. Tell it exactly what equipment you have and it shows you exactly what discs to put on the bar for each lift. Warm-ups build incrementally as your main lifts progress. The interface is a dream to use and is continuously refined without needless redesigns. Tap after completing a lift and you get a timer till your next lift. Ridiculously easy. I pay for annual premium to unlock the extra features which are worth it. But best of all is the support. I reported a bug after an update and got a personal email reply Mehdi to say it was being fixed. When the next update was released he email again to check it was all working for me. I work in software development and this sort of communication is priceless..Version: 3.11.4

EvolutionI’ve been using 5x5 on and off since early 2018 and have had great results (squat increased from 70kg to 175kg in about 18months) this app is constantly improving. This current edition tho seems to have a couple of minor bugs. Some of the weights calculations (mainly on the supplementary movements) seem a little erratic. Like dips are suggesting I add 100+ kg even tho my top recorded weight is around the 10kg mark. Definitely worth the money especially if you’re a newbie.Version: 3.8.1

Awesome layout. Very good UI/UXThis app is great for any program. I don’t follow 5x5 but this app is the best I’ve experienced in terms of tracking free weight workouts. The design is top notch, simple, and smooth..Version: 3.19

Helped me heaps, scary progress in liftsUsing it for 3 months and my pb’s have almost doubled.Version: 3.3.3

Easy to follow - produces resultsI love the simplicity of this app. After a long day of work I don’t have to think too much, just head out to the garage gym and get at it. After years of being away from weights, this program has helped me add strength in every compound lift. 💪🏼.Version: 3.19.9

Good for lifters of all kindsIf you’re a novice or if you’re more advanced this app makes it easy. You have 3 exercises 5 reps each. 3x per week. That easy. It tracks your progress And helps you deload appropriately when you plateau. You can customize workouts. Add filler workouts on off days or even do two+ a day workouts if say your coach is pushing you in preseason training. Amazing app. I’ve been using it for 2 years. In year 1 - total novice and I got to lifting amazing volumes of weight. Seriously an amazing app and cannot recommend it enough Year 1 family paid for the app subscription as a gift. Year 2 I paid myself because it’s so good I didn’t want to go without. Also, since starting there have been some amazing improvements in the app. Development just keeps going and this is quickly becoming more and more amazing for anyone to use..Version: 3.12

Great app and programI love SL5x5. I've found this program really enjoable and flexible enough so that you can progress as fast or slow as you need. Program aside, the app is brilliant and plans your workouts for you, so all you need to do is show up and lift. Best of all it has a great apple watch app making it easier to record your lifts whilst also tracking your heart rate as you work out..Version: 3.14.1

Easy way to keep your workouts on trackRecommend the upgrade too. Not sure why there's no exercise for lats in the standard workout A. Seems like too big of a muscle to miss..Version: 2.5.8

Best strength training programmeThis is by far the best strength programme I’ve followed. The app is easy to use, the supporting material is to class. Highly recommended..Version: 3.19.7

Worth running the 5x5 programme just for this appAs a noob lifter many years ago, I began with 5x5. It got me further than I’d thought possible, fairly quickly. The early version of the app was helpful, and suited me. This updated version is truly excellent. I came back after a period of not lifting, thinking that running 5x5 would fit into my overall programme. The new app is so flexible and customisable (while remaining simple to use) that I’d have no hesitation recommending it to beginner and intermediate lifters alike..Version: 3.17.7

The simple to use gym app for real resultsStart with the basic building program to set or reset the foundations for your body to develop Give it time and see the results and from there the sky is the limit with the app. May not seem much but with a few of the additional options available on start up and/or the increase in load it quickly becomes hard work - key to improve Substitute exercises if something hurts/you get injured, add additional ones if it meets your goal or write your own program and add a new exercise to the directory/guide provided. Also the daily email provides some real good information- take what you want leave what you don’t but read and digest as it’s all part of why the app does what it does..Version: 3.17.7

Amazing but for glitchesGreat concept, love the design of the app and the workouts. Would be 5 stars but the app is often glitchy and freezes.Version: 3.17.7

Great flexible app and keeps getting betterI highly recommend this app. I’ve been using it for over 2 years. It has preset workouts, but also lets you customize everything, including your workout schedule, exercises, weights, sets, reps, standard sets, drop sets etc. Its fully flexible and with regular updates it keeps getting better. The screens are so well organized and easy that I don’t need to wear my glasses to use it. Well done to Strong Lifts, your hard work shows and it has helped me get some great results at the gym..Version: 3.14

Great improvementsI started using 5x5 on my old iPhone 6. Over 3 years ago. I had a free trial version then purchased for the extra features. It was great until my phone no longer updated. Many glitches but managed a workaround or 2. Finally got a newer phone so I am very happy that I can now use my Apple Watch. I love all the new features in the App that makes my life so much easier and it’s a joy to get back into my workouts again. I’ll be renewing my subscription again this Christmas..Version: 3.9

Simple & EffectiveAs the title suggests, this is a simple yet effective workout complimented by an app that is just as good. No muss, no fuss. Easy to incorporate checklist, timer, & progress chart. No need for any other app than this..Version: 2.1.14

Unable to install - keeps crashingI was really looking forward to downloading this given the reviews, but couldn’t get past the registration screen before the app crashed. Tried deleting and re-installing at least 10 times, updating iOS, turning the phone off and on to no avail. I hope the developers can fix this… Developer responded within 1 day - app working superbly. Looks amazing..Version: 3.7.4

I use this all the timeGreat app for the gym, an I've been using it for a while now. It would be nice if there was a screen where you could see your current personal bests for each of each exercise! Unfortunately this is almost unusable for me now, the phone app constantly freezes so I literally can’t do anything in the app. If I use the watch app, this works fine until I either finish the workout, because it wants the app open on the phone, which freezes so it doesn’t sync. Or, on the rare occasion that the phone app works, it resets the workout on the watch. Infuriating! Please fix this, as this was always my go to workout app..Version: 2.13

ExcellentGreat stylish UI. Very simple, just like Stronglifts itself. I like that I don't need to carry a log book around the gym. Awesome workout program, awesome app... What more could I ask for?.Version: 1.1

Great app:)Does exactly what it says and also guides you through the workout. Looking forward to the updates :).Version: 2.3.1

Great allroundThe gradual increases in load really work, even for a 61-year old like me. There are very prudent resets if you miss a few workouts, and great integration with Apple Watch to keep you on track including rest promts etc. The videos are useful reminders of form too. For newbies, my recommendation would be to use a personal trainer to check your form on the basic exercises, but after that the App is your trainer! Highly recommended..Version: 3.19.2

Awesome easy workoutHave always loved this workout easy and great for all skill levels - the app just takes it to the next level. App is easy to use and track your progress with minimal effort! Would highly recommend especially love the timer between sets..Version: 2.7.7

Good support! And it works.I’ve been using StrongLifts for 12 months. I love that it’s a simple workout with easy to use interface. Forget the fads - just stick to the large big movement and stay consistent. When I went from 1-2 workouts a week to 3 consistent workouts I saw a rapid gain in strength. I like that you can add some of your own exercises. The only suggestion is that added exercise should be able to be categorised as cable or dumbbells rather than just Bar or body weight, but this is a very minor thing. Once I had to get support as I had lost the in app Powerpack purchase. I had a response in less than 48hrs and was able to solve the problem quickly. I’ve put some friends onto this app. They are encouraged by the fact that that even though I’m smaller, I can out lift them!.Version: 2.9.6

Motivating and adaptable workout app!My experience with many workout apps is that they lack customization and have a one-size-fits-all approach. When my husband and I originally used the StrongLifts app two years ago, the app was helpful for me as a new lifter. After a hiatus, we are using the app again, and it has several new features that enhance its adaptability, making it even easier and better to use in my opinion. :) New feature request for the developer: now that I’m more aware of how I lift/how my body responds to lifting, I’m noticing some trends that correlate to my menstruation cycle. Can you add a feature that allows for loading/deloading based on a cycle to optimize training for all the menstruating individuals that use the app? This is a weightlifting issue that is often discussed in women’s groups and the StrongLifts 5x5 for women FaceBook group. (: Thanks for considering the idea and for continued updates to the app!.Version: 3.4

Awesome, motivating appI am 54 years old and have tried all types of workout plans over the years and nothing sticks, this is the one! Just completed my 200th workout(app tracks) and can’t wait to start 201. It has everything you would want to track and plan a workout program and advances you through as you progress leaving nothing to think about other then the workout and checking the dots and waiting for the beep. Just get it and pay the fee to unlock the premium features and you will follow a plan like you have never done before. Also you can add any exercise, set, rep into the plan you want if not already included in the huge library if you want to add additional work to a muscle group..Version: 3.13.5

Great AppThis is a really helpful app and I do recommend getting the power pack as well. I feel that I have had better gains using this program that going at it with my own way of doing things. This program not only guides you with what you should be doing each workout session, but you don’t spend as much time doing different things that were actually working against getting stronger. With the power pack I am able to add all of my weight equipment and the app calculates exactly what needs to go on the bar for each workout. Using the app also helps you to stay on track with your strength gain goals by automatically increasing the weights after each successful completion. With the power pack it will also feed Apple Health with your calorie expenditure for each workout..Version: 2.8.11

Very BuggyBefore I went Pro I had about 3-4 weeks of saved workouts. Went pro and it deleted everything(?). I’m constantly* having to resubmit my assurance exercises, I’ll get the same Workout A twice in a row with no way of changing without uninstalling the app, reinstalling it, having to sign back in, then out ALL the information back in because for some reason it doesn’t remember even when I have a Pro account. Please fix these bugs, Mehdi. Even when working out I can’t focus cause it’s filled with so many bugs that often times I’m stuck trying to resubmit my weights into my workout plan and having to plug in my information again. Or it goes BACKWARDS in weight. Which doesn’t make any sense. So many bugs but unfortunately this is the only workout app I like to use..Version: 2.9.14
