✓ Very relaxing & a good valueAfter searching through several versions I settled on this one after trying the trial. There are some good relaxing natural sounding sounds that are very realistic, some are a bit much but they might be appealing to others so its all good. The interface could use some improvement to simplify it, and mixing could use track optons such as occurance rate or a random function would help. One deciding factor is that a subscription is not required, I refuse to keep paying over and over for the same thing so KUDOS to the developer for not being greedy!.Version: 1.8
✓ Amazing AppI love this app, had it for a few years and bought the full version a year or so ago, worth it. The wide selection of rain and fire sounds are exactly what I wanted. I do wish there were a few more sounds, like a greater variety of soundscapes and public places ones for example. I also wish that I could add more than 6 sounds to a single mix. I would absolutely love this app more than anything if I could add my own songs into a mix as well, so that I could play my music along with the rain and other sounds on a loop. ✓ Big fan but...I’m really loving this app. Was using the free version before but there are so many more options when you buy. I’ve always been a pretty good sleeper but age creeps up on you and I needed a little help. I keep one of my mixes on all night and I quickly fall back asleep if I wake up. Great way to avoid drugs if you can. I’m giving it 5 stars even though I do have a small complaint. I wish there were more undersea sounds. There are some underwater sounds but I like a sea theme. It is perfect and I love that you can layer the sounds together!!! My favorite sounds are pebble beach and some of the thunder storm sounds. Camp fire is nice too. All Lovely!!! ✓ Love it, Customize your sleep sound!I've had trouble sleeping most of my life and would just leave the fan on my window AC going all year round to drown out random sounds. I tried several apps before finding this one and they all had something that irritated me enough that they actually kept me up. This is way different. My personal sleep sound is a creek, rain and a little campfire on top. There is a vast catalogue of sounds to choose from, all categorised (ocean, wind, trains, animals, city streets, household, etc.) You decide which you want to download, and then you can create your own mixes, blending up to 6 individual sounds in each mix. Very, very user-friendly, and a brilliant way to get exactly the sounds you want. Of course, you can also just listen to the individual sounds - there are so many to choose from! ✓ Nice variety of quality soundsIf you’re looking for a nice distant train whistle, you’ll find one on the Pacific Chorus Frogs and Train track . The whistle is not present on the preview. It would have been nice to have a description of each track that would help in finding specific things of interest such as this, rather than downloading and listening to complete tracks. There is a good variety of sounds in the app, but it took me a while to get the hang of the user interface, and I still get confused occasionally. Overall a worthwhile purchase. What’s even sweeter is that I can control the volumes of all sounds in the mix. That way I can, for example, have the wind louder and the crickets toned down, making for a more effective sleep inducer. Mixes have me drifting off in no time. In the past, I’ve woken up in early morning to use bathroom and found it difficult to fall back asleep, but with Sleep Sounds mixes I’ve created, I’m back to Dreamland. App also allows me to set duration of time that mix will play and then automatically stop. I usually set it for 30 minutes, but I’m lucky to conk out in minutes.
