✓ They actually listen!I wrote a review over the recent update, which heavily improved the UI into a much cleaner experience, but also removed landscape mode, which made using the app on iPad a bit of a pain. They wasted no time in implementing yet another update, now adding landscape support for tablets. I can’t give this anything other than a 5 star review now. I love the interface, and the fact that they’re quick to fix things instead of leaving it broken is a massive plus..Version: 3.2.2

✓ Beta impressionsThe layout of friends, profile info and game catalogues is done very well. You can change your first load page between friends list, news, game specials etc. Chat between people on your friends list also works well, but appears to be a little buggy, especially if you are logged into Steam elsewhere at the same time. One thing it needs, instant press on friend to chat screen, as opposed to load profile, then click on chat (considering the amount of info to load for a profile, this can take awhile on 3G) The app is a great convenience to have, and it will certainly have some good potential as Steam update. Get it when it becomes open beta, or just sign in now and you'll likely get an invite..Version: 1.0
✓ Very goodIs quite a good app, but there is the occasional lag when typing (not my internet) while friend is typing at the same time. However I really like it because you can see screenshots that players took while in game! I just absolutely love it but why dose it have to take memory from your device when you upload a screenshot? 5star app. But why do you have to upload the game onto our desktop? But they also removed the chat functionality, which is annoying because I don’t want to have another app just for messaging. ✓ Extremely good rebuildApp has finally been rebuilt from the ground up with a much cleaner look and functionality. Steam Guard has newer much needed upgrades, the ability to actually access the store, your library, your account and lots of other features were well needed things that are very useful now. ✓ 3.0 was long overdue!Holy molly what a change update 3.0 has brought to this app. It looks modern, feels snappy, and is incredibly simple compared to the mess the app was before. I didn’t realize (probably more like I didn’t care) the state the app was in before, it did its job and for me that was good enough but now looking back it was a nightmare compared to what’s there now. ✓ Very polished, but a couple issuesThe majority of the bugs that used to exist in this new app have been patched, which gives this new app a very polished experience. There is still one bug which kind of translates into 2, which is the scaling of UI elements. For people who use larger on screen text for accessibility or have a smaller screen size, the app just breaks. Buttons to accept Steam Guard confirmations don’t fit on the screen and the app can’t be properly used. Landscape mode also works on phones, even though it really should only work on iPads. If you try to tilt your phone sideways on the Steam Guard screen, things get crazy. And the notch blocks things as well. I also wish the video player would be fixed too, you have to tap where you think the unmute button is, and then tap to go fullscreen, but you just get a black window. You then have to close the video and re enter it repeatedly until it works in fullscreen, which is very aggravating. This is on iOS 15 on an iPhone 12..Version: 3.2.5

✓ The best thing that gives this five starsA lot of people don’t like this app for some reason. But this small little detail perfects the app. The reason why is Fez is in the picture! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, Fez is the best game on Steam, yet no one’s heard of it. I won’t bore you with it, but I have to say great job Steam! I would want this app just for it's library perusing/ store browsing features, but OTP Auth is already a technology with a generalized format that can be used in multiple password managers. Despite some reviews, friends list and friends activity are still there if you take more than two minutes to explore what the app has to offer. Only four stars as I ended with 140+ notifications and there’s no way to delete them all; you have to do it one by one. Pretty tedious and annoying. Fix this and get five stars..Version: 3.0

✓ Gets the job doneThis app could have been better but I'm not complaining although the three main issues are: 1. the settings tab 'rubber bands' off the screen sometimes (you can fix this by closing the app in multitask and reopening but it gets annoying) 2. the search which only shows the results when the keyboard is on the screen 3. the number of hours shown (it shows minutes instead except for recently played games which is correct and in hours). ✓ Fantastic App!Works great, occasionally some server issues, but otherwise it's fantastic. Apart from Steam Chat, and the Steam Store built into the app, there's a few features hidden away such as managing downloads remotely (handy if you buy a game through the app while away, and want to queue it for downloads), and Steam Chat providing up-to-date messages so you don't have to go into the steam overlay to talk to friends.
