✓ Great Greek appThis is a great app and very helpful as you work to memorise the different Greek tenses, voices, moods, persons and numbers. I have found it extremely beneficial and highly recommend it. I have noticed that at times it will mark your answer as incorrect when in fact your answer is one of two or more possible correct answers. For instance, λύῃ is present, subjunctive, middle/passive, 2nd person singular. It is also the present, subjunctive, active, 3rd person, singular. The app will mark you right when you give one of these answers and then later give the same problem a second time. If you answer it the same, instead of giving the alternate possible answer, you will be marked as wrong. It is not a big issue but it can be confusing if you haven't learned the alternate answer yet. It would be great if when there are multiple right answers this was somehow indicated. Overall though I think this is a great app and I have found it very helpful..Version: 1.1.1

✓ Almost perfect, just needs Hebrew nowThis app is wonderful and does exactly what my Greek class and I need for studying. This app is one of those rare things that actually do what they say in the description which I really appreciate! Also, it's awesome that the app is universal! ps If you can make a biblical Hebrew parsing app my class and I will also definitely buy it so please please please make a Hebrew parsing app one just like this Greek one!!! pps The app was updated today, it's still easily the best Greek parsing app out and it's obvious that they're listening to what us customers want. ✓ Great IdeaThis app is a great idea and adds something new to the growing number of NT Greek learning apps available. It brings together the grammar and vocab learning process in a very helpful way. I hope the developer will keep working on it as it has potential to be even better. It would be good to see the UI become less cluttered and to have the option to be tested on a random selection of forms that meet the selected test criteria - currently one is tested on every possible grammatical inflection that corresponds to the chosen vocab and grammar selections. It also lacks the power and functionality of other memory/learning programs that include settings for spaced repetition and the like. As such it is perhaps a bit expensive for what it offers at present..Version: 1.0.9
✓ Great App but Shuts DownI paid for the app to help me with Greek study and it’s been very helpful, but it will occasionally shut down in the middle of exercises, which is annoying (iPad OS 14.2). I would welcome the option to review wrong answers at the end to learn from them, because I can’t remember wrong answers after parsing 100 words. Maybe the function is already there and I just haven’t discovered it yet..Version: 2.3

✓ PastorThis is the best Greek app available by far -- exactly the one I've been wishing existed. It packs a lot into a small space (on the iPhone at least), but it's done efficiently, and I wouldn't want anything different. There is no app as comprehensive, organized, user-friendly, or helpful in learning Greek grammar and vocab as this one. I especially like that you can close the app in the middle of a session and come back where you left off. If the author of this app does something similar for Hebrew, he will be my new hero!.Version: 1.0
✓ Just buy it alreadyBack in undergrad I used Croy for greek grammar and our professor was a retired marine. Needless to say, he drilled us over and over again and the course load was very overwhelming, but 80% of it was having to discipline yourself to repeat the lectures and memorize vocabulary ad nauseum. This app would've made those years so much easier for me! If only! But alas, if you're still in undergrad or a very unmotivated learner sometimes like me, get this app. It's like playing a game, only you're learning!.Version: 1.0.9

✓ The missing pieceAs great as Mounce's BBG and its companion materials are, they seem incomplete without this most helpful app. Drilling forms with this will do wonders to straighten out the muddle you probably have in your head after, say, finishing the indicative mood in chapter 25. ✓ Essential for Learning Koine GreekI wrote a review for Flash Greek, saying it was essential, but Parse Greek is even more vital. It’s the best way to move past needing to review paradigms in your head and internalize them so that you can read the NT with ease. I’ve had zero issues with the app personally; no glitches, no missing features. I use it daily for 5-10 minutes a day, and it really helps. I could not have passed my seminary NT Greek courses without this. I’m in Danny’s debt for the work he has done. Do yourself a favor a buy this app.Version: 2.6
✓ Good appI'm purposely waiting to update my iPad to IOS 10 until this is supported by 10. I got it when I had IOS 8 and it supported 8. I waited to upgrade to iOS 9 until it supported IOS 9. I have not had any technical problems with it at all. I read A review by someone that was teaching themselves Greek and that some of the answers were wrong. I've been using Mounce's book and teaching myself and sometimes when I have thought the app is wrong and went back and reread the chapter it was me that was wrong. Two changes I would like to see: - A faster turnaround time from when a new IOS comes out till it supports that IOS - At the end of a quiz for it to tell you what percentage you got right. Since I am teaching myself I don't go onto the next chapter till I get somewhere between 90 and 95% correct. Right now I'm the one that has to do the math to see what my percentage rate was..Version: 1.1.5

✓ Great Greek appIf you're struggling with the patterns of word endings in Koine, this is the app for you. Danny Zacharias has built the app to interact with a few textbooks commonly used in introductory courses for Koine. I'm in a course that uses Jeremy Duff's Greek grammar, and it's been really fantastic to be able to make use of vocabulary and grammar concept lists based on that book. One of the strengths of ParseGreek is that it's in your pocket wherever you go. If you're waiting for a train and have three minutes to spare, this is the perfect app for making good use of that time while enhancing your grammar and vocabulary knowledge..Version: 1.0.9
✓ Good parsing programThis is a great start for self testing Greek paradigms. I'm certain it will only improve with time. I was impressed by the use of both frequency, textbooks (no Porter yet though), and the paradigmatic LUW. It's even a bit addictive to use. I can't wait to recommend this to my students. I wish it were around for this last semester. My students would have loved this. There are a few things I would like to see improved. First, consistency in the parsing. Right now imperfects/ 2aorists have a button for first/third and another for sing/plural but this is not consistently employed and if you mark a form using these buttons one word may be marked as wrong and other words marked as correct. The program should either allow the dual marking or give two words, but not a seemingly random move between the two. This behaviour would be frustrating for beginning students who would believe they parsed the word wrong or it could lead to lower confidence in the program accuracy...either result is not ideal. If you set the criteria to include lexical form you need to be careful in your selection -- once you select you cannot change your answer. The author is eager to correct any errors in the database and is responsive to feedback, all good signs that this app will only improve with each iteration. All in all, an excellent app that I will recommend to my students. With just a few tweaks this will be five stars..Version: 1.0
✓ Very Useful App But...I've been looking for this kind of app for awhile. Since I'm attempting to learn Greek on my own, I'm always in need of someone to quiz me. With this app I'm now able to quiz myself wherever I'm at. The only problem I have is that some of the answers it requires are wrong. Such as when parsing pas, pasa, pav. This is very frustrating when you think you know something and yet the app continually insists you supply a different answer. ✓ A must-have for anyone studying KoineLast version was really valuable, but wasn’t ideal on an iPhone (more iPad centric) and I had a few suggestions. Holy Cow, they reworked the iPhone UI, and incorporated some of my suggestions. Super responsive development team. And oh my gosh the new version is really user friendly and intuitive. If you are studying Greek and parsing, this tool is invaluable. Flashcards typically treat lexical forms but some verbs are just unrecognizable in their various forms. This helps you make sure you’re solid without making thousands of flashcards covering every form. Nice job and great update!.Version: 2.0

✓ Great toolThis app is a very useful tool when used alongside one of the Greek grammar textbooks that it supports. Also when reading the Greek New Testament it really helps by testing your understanding of the text. Flash cards are useful but this app is in a class by itself. I have many of the textbooks that it supports and I am amazed at how well it complements all of them. This app is great for reviewing or refreshing your knowledge of the Koine Greek.
