ParseGreek - Greek Quizzing for Negative User Reviews
✓ Start screen needs improvingWhile this app is very helpful for practicing parsing Greek vocab, it would be nice if the book and chapters didn't need to be reset every time the app is opened. Maybe the selected chapters and text book could be saved in settings and not require changing unless the user wants to change them. It would also help if one could select a chapter range (choosing the first and last chapter, for example) instead of having to click each chapter box individually. Not sure if this is the case with some of the textbooks, but for Mounce it is very tedious to have to select everything individually every time I go to use the app--even if I leave the app running in the background. Otherwise a good app, and it did help me prep for my final, but it's annoying to have to set my study preferences every time..Version: 1.1.3
✓ Freezing problemIt's an ok program except that it freezes when you need it most. I have a greek test tomorrow and now this 7 dollar app that I purchased doesn't work. I would think twice when buying this app if you need to depend on it..Version: 1.0.7
✓ Cool app. One change neededReally helpful app. The problem is that once you have studied through a grammar, and you want general quizzes over the book, you have to check every single box. There needs to be an “all” box so that you can pick your grammar, and the check “all” and start studying. Also it would be nice if once you had picked your grammar it was set instead of having to set it every time you pick up the app. For me I have to set my grammar and then click like 30 boxes before I can get started and it’s defeating to even wanna pick it up..Version: 1.1.5
✓ Random crashesI’m on an iPhone 12 Pro Max with the latest update. I’m reviewing chapters 8 and 9. Periodically the app crashes and I lose my progress. This is quite frustrating..Version: 2.6
✓ Let's get this app compatible with ios9!Very disappointed that I cannot use an app I had to pay for. The app deserves 5 stars The stars in this review are for not updating it so it can be used. It has been since early summer 2015.Version: 1.1.4
✓ HmmmApp won't open. I get the title page and nothing else..Version: 1.1.4
✓ Parse GreekApp is broken with new iOS.Version: 1.1.4
✓ Please FixThis is a great app but it no longer works. I hope Danny fixes soon because I'd love to use it again..Version: 1.1.4
✓ Many great features but many aggravationsAs another reviewer has said, I would send these concerns to the developer if there was a place for bug reporting, so call that a meta-bug. Another meta-bug is that there is no version information in the app so I have no way of knowing if I have the latest version, and there is no “update” feature in the app or on this page. How do we update? Bugs: there are parse errors, e.g., οιδασιν is listed as a perfect. More bothersome is that random presentations of more than one correct parsing accept only one of the solutions (this often comes up with AccSingMasc and Nom/AccPluralNeuter, e.g.). Answering the other one is marked “wrong.” Then when the word comes round again, it might be looking for the other solution. Or it might not, and the right solution must be guessed or it keeps coming back as a missed question. The case of multiple correct answers needs to be handled better. I also shut down for a while when I was being presented with questions that were outside the scope of my reading. I think participles might have popped up before I got there in my text. I am back to the app now, and bothering to write this review, because of the very useful feature of spanning verbal moods, e.g., indicative and participles. That is a tough skill for me, and I really appreciate ParseGreek’s help in learning it. I haven’t focused on the many great qualities of this app, but the drawbacks mentioned above have been pretty close to deal breakers for me..Version: 2.2.1
✓ Not working on 5cThis was a great app. Clunky interface but great idea and practicing with it helped me improve a lot. However it doesn't seem to be working any longer on my iPhone 5c since the latest iOS update. I can't get past the opening screen..Version: 1.1.4
✓ NopeWhat I received is just quizzes, not like the examples shown..Version: 2.6
✓ Good, but very sluggish on my first gen iPadI find the app very useful, but on my first gen iPad the transitions, etc, are very sluggish. Nothing about this app suggests to me why it would be so slow, but it makes it feel like you are studying while wading through molasses. As a developer familiar with iOS coding myself, I cannot think of any good reason why this would be!.Version: 1.0.5
✓ UselessI paid for it. I can't use it because it isn't compatible with my iPhone iOS. I will re-review if they ever fix the problem..Version: 1.1.4
