Visual Anatomy for Positive User Reviews

Medical review specialistMy background is OT but have been doing therapy reviews for different insurance companies for the last 21 years The app has been great for a quick reference when I am reviewing therapy cases. It takes the place of cumbersome anatomy books I used have to use. It is my review companion. Wish is had been around when I was treating patients.Version: 5.5

Decent since it's freeIt's fairly helpful and it's free. Not the best but it does the job.Version: 5.0

Great appLove this app, very useful for me as an aspiring artist. I use it a lot..Version: 6.1

The free is good but it’s worth the $3I’m taking anatomy and physiology this semester and the app has been more helpful than the Pearson’s website that charged 130 dollars..Version: 5.5

Great for anatomy review on the goReally nice to study with while in a bus, waiting room, or during commercials. Gives in depth detail of muscle and provides origin, insertion, action, and visual aide for function. Covers several other body systems as well: endocrine, respiratory, and eye/ear..Version: 5.5

Awesome app! This has loads of stuff to learn about the anatomy. Great for studying purposes!.Version: 5.5

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)|( ̄3 ̄)|Perty Gord I lick it ale ot.Version: 5.5

Very satisfied customerFor the price a very useful go to app. Very informative. Would definitely recommend it to people..Version: 4.4

This app was well worth $2.99!!!This app is incredible. Basic, to the point, easy to use, and very easy to understand. It's awesome!!!.Version: 5.5

GreatI took anatomical physiology this summer, my professor recommended this app. So far, it's been very helpful! I'm in exercise physiology now and it's helping me through this class as well.Version: 5.5

MissExcellent app for learning about anatomy, very useful for sports science students. Also a lot cheaper than some of the other apps and gives you just as much useful information! Very happy with this app :).Version: 4.4

The app is Ferg helpful! The app is very helpful when you have a big anatomy exam coming up and need to review while you’re away from your books. I used this app while I was out and about to help me get all the muscles down and the nerves as well. I’d like to see the app revamped as far as the presentation of it goes, but other that it’s great..Version: 5.6

Great appGreat app.Version: 5.5

Amazing appThis app has helped me in so many ways!!!!! Great work.Version: 3.0

Great App!!Worth every penny!.Version: 4.1

KensongGreat app for any sports person who wants to get a clearer picture of what's going on inside. Particularly useful is the revolve toggle which allows you to see all round the body part. Would be even better if bones and muscles could flex, but that would be a huge upgrade..Version: 5.5

UsefulHave been able to locate muscles that are sore and treat them eg. piriformis which can press on the sciatic nerve..Version: 5.6

Great for studying on the go!This app is awesome and very very helpful for my anatomy and physiology classes and lab! I can’t seem to find the Iliotibial Tract or IT Band in any of the models but it has been helpful!!!!.Version: 5.5

A Massage Therapist’s Bible in an AppThis is the best app I’ve ever paid for & worth every cent. I bought it as a student and it made studying for anatomy and kinesiology so much easier. To this day, it’s a helpful reference. 👍👍.Version: 6.1

Great for studying!I use this app to help study for A&P. I like how it tells the origin and insertion of each muscle, as well as what nerves run through it..Version: 5.5

Good Basic Anatomy for the priceVery useful as a refresher or for patient teaching..Version: 5.5

Great easy to use appI am a part time coach and this app is great for explaining to people (& myself) how different muscles operate and their names. Awsm!.Version: 7.0

GoodVery helpful.Version: 4.1

Pleasant surprise!Wow... that escalated quickly! Exactly what I was looking for to assist with an accredited CPT program. As soon as I opened the full version, I was blown away. And the price tag was exponentially more appealing than it's competitors, with their "in-app purchases". All parts are quickly searchable, and one can both quickly and easily navigate through systems. The animated muscle action examples are amazing, as well, but primary function could be 'highlighted' in some way..Version: 5.5

Good app!I just started using the app, and so far my only complaint is that they show "thigh extension at the hip" as flexion. And maybe they mean to show it as coming from thigh flexion at the hip into extension, but they're stopping at anatomical position. Technically that's not extension. Other than that, no complaints!.Version: 5.5

Love itAwesome app!.Version: 4.1

Really good anatomy appI’m a therapist and I often refer to this app. Great detail good graphics very informative, jolly useful if I have forgotten the name of a muscle or insertion etc. Love it!.Version: 5.5

This is great, missing one thing...I wish it had body cavities, that would pretty much make this a perfect thing if you study any exercise science, or are generally interested.Version: 4.4

GreatGreat for basic anatomy. Very easy to study off of..Version: 4.0

Great for students, teachers, or anyone who wants to understand anatomy!!!!I teach anatomy and physiology in high school and this app is marvelous. The kids think it's cool, I think it's cool, and they are always coming up and showing me something that isn't in the book and where it is on their body, which I love!!!.Version: 5.5

Been looking for this! Finally, to see the muscles working, in action is finally helping Me connect all the information, Thank You!.Version: 6.1

Visual AnatomyVery good - easy to use and provides the sort of detail I require.Version: 4.0

Very helpful. Definitely worth paying for!I’m going to be using this to pass my biology class. I wish it had a little more points on the bones because I have to know each individual part and I wish it had diagrams of the skin and tissues since I need those as well. Other than that I can use the diagrams provided and the quizzes. The muscle section is going to be great. Definitely a more extensive and helpful app than the free version..Version: 5.6

Great tool for clinicGreat for showing patients how muscles work and interrelate..Version: 6.2

ThePerfect app.Version: 5.5

Useful to physiciansI’m a family physician who’s been in practice for 40 years. I use this app to both help me remember anatomy when dictating notes and to quickly show patients internal anatomy such as cardiac structures when I’m doing patient education. Extremely useful and accurate..Version: 6.1

Great but more bonesThis is great more muscle but I would love it if you could label more of the bones and their boney processes would make this ap 5 stars but fantastic for muscles. Love it!!.Version: 3.1

From superficial to deep fantasticFrom reflexology to massage to medical student this must be one of the best apps. For a quick refresher or comprehensive learning tool, it will be useful to so many.Version: 4.1

Must have app for strength coachThe Visual Anatomy app is a wonderful addition to the strength training professional’s tool belt. Anyone interested in developing their muscular anatomy should purchase this app. Having an understanding of the musculoskeletal system enhances one’s training and physical development. This app provides a comprehensive view of the muscular anatomy (and other bodily systems) that all strength training practitioners should have to improve their craft..Version: 5.5

BrilliantSimple, clear, great interface and very easy to use..Version: 5.0

LouiseI use visual anatomy for myself and my stretch class students and my gymnast son to identify and explain where and how the muscles work and the source of pain and areas that require improved mobility..Version: 4.4

Good go to.When I need to show clients what's happening in their body this app is my go to. Also great for an anatomy refresher!.Version: 4.1

Awesome app☺️Super informative & helpful! Love this app😇.Version: 5.8

Seriously impressive! So far so good. I initially purchased this for my wife, a qualified nurse and beauty therapist who also works with cosmetic injectable treatments. It is perfect for her work: especially the animations, which illustrate the effect each muscle group has on movement. There are a few missing, but they seem to be few-and-far-between, so hopefully they will be added in future updates. In addition (and a real surprise) was the inclusion of (what appears to be) the premium version of Gray's Anatomy. As for me, although not a medical professional in any sense, I am involved in a lot of physical activities and sports. So I've found the app extraordinarily useful in deterring which muscles I use (and may want to develop) for certain motions. It is indispensable in determining areas of potential damage. For example, should I feel a twinge of pain performing a simple task (such as raising my arm a specific way to get a glass from the shelf) this app allows you to see what muscles you use during this action, which helps identify what previous action may have contributed to the problem). Overall, this app is a must have. Even if you don't find it medically useful, you will find it ridiculously interesting, entertaining, and informative. We live our entire lives in this body: its about time we got a user manual for it!.Version: 6.2

GreatWould be perfect with a few improvements. As I am studying to be a doctor it would be great if there was more detail. or a way to toggle more detail and more of the uncommon muscles and bones and be able to see each bone individually with the bone markings and everything. Would be a great idea to add the option of testing through pictures "what is this muscle or bone?" Etc also if we could see an image of the bones and fill in the names ourselves and be tested through those sorts of means.Version: 5.0

Good enoughI use this as a reference for artwork, the 3d images are good quality but some of them don't rotate 360 degrees..Version: 4.1

GoodVery good at assisting you to understand & memorise all the parts of the body easily.Version: 3.1

SuperbSimply wonderful.Version: 6.2

My go toMy go to anatomy app going on ten years. Every time I need to reference a muscle or it’s attachments VisAnatomy makes it fast and clear..Version: 6.2

Great anatomical learning toolThis app along with others has been a great benefit in me learning anatomy. Seeing it all there has helped me remember & visualise everything. More detail would be great as I am going to commence doctoral studies but other sources such as encyclopaedias can give such information..Version: 5.0

Pretty coolMostly everything was fine. A few things were miscategorized, but all and all very decent..Version: 3.1

Great and InformativeA great database for raw information and the making of flash cards (especially for the muscles!). Only complaint is that the angles to view the body are preset so you can't rotate the body little by little to get the best view of some muscle groups..Version: 5.5

Med studentVisualisation is great, especially for bone and muscle anatomy. Link to Grays anatomy is also very useful for more detailed review once comfortable with the basics..Version: 4.0

Great resourceI use this app frequently to help me explain to clients the muscles being used and how they help the body move. Great app!.Version: 5.5

BrilliantI love this app. It's great for quick revision and is easy to access. 10 out of 10!.Version: 3.1

Helpful for BodyworkersI am a professional body worker & use this app to keep my knowledge of muscles & their movements in ship-shop-shape. I also enjoy showing it to clients to help them see visually what might be going on with their bodies. I've used this app for years & have been super happy with it..Version: 5.5

Love it!This app is great. Comprehensive, and very easy to use. Thanks!.Version: 5.5

Great for studyThis app is very handy for revision on the go.Version: 4.1

Helping my test scoresThis app is wonderful I like how it not only tells you what each part is but it says it for you along with a definition and location in the body. I also like how it has quizzes. I think more anatomy and physiology instructors need to inform students of this..Version: 5.6

ExcellentClear and concise. I like that it gives details of insertions of muscles and innervation with the 'Info' button. Quizzes are fun..Version: 3.1

GoodThis app would get a 5 star but I wish it would rotate with the selected item still highlighted! I would like to see all connection points of the muscle or nerves in a rotatable environment..Version: 5.5

Anatomy appThis app was a great way to learn the basic anatomy of anything in the body. It especially helped me with the musculoskeletal system as I was able to recap knowledge at the flick of a slide. Incredibly helpful! My husband used the app first while he was working to get his EMT certificationand had great success! Myself, as a massage therapist, I call on the app all the time. Simply BrilliantI got this app to learn about muscles, but it has taught me so much more. Makes it easy to learn..Version: 3.1

Great App for A & P studyI have found this really helpful in studying for my anatomy lab. The muscles are the only ones I have used this with but wish I had found it for the bones for my last test..Version: 5.5

Best deal for the price for artistsIf you want to pay 44 dollars there is a more malleable one, but for the money you can not do better than this one.Version: 5.5

LOVE!Extremely informative. Breaks down every body part into detail. What I love most is that it gives you the short version of what an organ does and it also gives you a very detailed version. I love the quizzes and how they’re broken up into different sections. The design of how the skeleton is made is also very precise. Definitely recommend.Version: 6.0

Great tool for personal fitness trainingLove it to support my studies and client education.Version: 6.1

VisAnatomySimple to use, easy to understand. A handy assistant..Version: 5.0

AmazingInexpensive and excellent rich source of knowledge, easy to use and great for anyone trying to learn about anatomy, especially for medical students! Must get!.Version: 3.1

Muscles et osJ'aime beaucoup. Pourquoi la pages deviennent blanche après avoir regardé une page?.Version: 4.1

Handy app!I’m a fitness professional and I find it useful in aiding my analysis of what’s going on with clients who are having some variation of movement dysfunction, especially when they present with pain. It’s also a great refresher when studying new topics as I’m constantly upgrading my skill set. The only thing so far that I’ve found missing is the muscles if the pelvic floor. Put those in and this will go from a really good app to an exceptional one..Version: 5.5

VisualGreat for visual learners..Version: 4.4

Best appThis app is the best I’ve ever used for the muscles of the body. Love that it reads the muscle out and shows you a demo of how the muscle moves..Version: 6.1

Loving this app!I'm finding myself browsing this app whenever I have a few minutes to kill--I'm a fitness enthusiast and I'm learning a ton about my body this way. Only thing I'd change is the graphics are a bit dated--feels like an iOS 5.0 app..Version: 5.5

Perfect for undergrads sport/physioGreat anatomical info including muscle origin and action, plus quizzes which are helpful..Version: 4.4

Great AppReally like the muscle table..Version: 5.5

Anatomy on the goI agree with other reviews given, that the app needs some work but I have thoroughly enjoyed using it. I am taking Anatomy & Physiology I online this semester and I needed an app that I could study anywhere because I work 2 jobs as well. During the slow times at my catering job this works great, especially for the money. I would be willing to pay more if it had more information, better quizzes, etc..Version: 5.5

Great App!!This is a great way to learn about the body. Is helping me so much with a course I am in the middle of. Love it!!!.Version: 3.1

Great app!I have really been enjoying this app! I got ripped off by another REALLY expensive app a few months back ($50/year) and was not enthusiastic about this app, BUT I am VERY pleased w/ all the features has! It has been such a great tool to use to learn/refresh your anatomy! I really encourage others to give it a chance, it’s very worth it :))))!!!.Version: 5.6

UsefulOften as I work out I have muscle pain in different areas. This is a great app to see what connects and where so I can better understand the activity that's causing the discomfort. The only issue I have is the 3D models are a bit limited in their rotation. Still a good app overall..Version: 5.5

Excellent appExcellent graphics and very informative. Handy little app and it is ideal for teaching students in clinical settings..Version: 4.1

Useful App could be even more usefulI enjoy the detail of this app however do wish I had 360 degree control especially with the hand. I would like to view the hand fingertips superior oriented instead of inferior. The addition of Mnemonics to assist in memorizing for instance the order of the carpal bones..Version: 5.6

Important toolI use this app almost every day as I interact with clients as a personal trainer. Showing my client the muscle location and what it does is really helps them understand why we are doing an exercise..Version: 6.1

Great AppBeing someone who trains in multi-sports and not having any anatomical knowledge I've found this app extremely useful when identifying muscles, tendons etc that can become or in my case do get overused. The app has helped me understand and appreciate that the human body is a fantastic piece of design..Version: 5.5

MrsThis app has been very helpful while studying my Cert III in fitness..Version: 3.1

The best anatomy appAbsolutely brilliant little app. I’ve checked out so many anatomy apps. If the designers could work on muscle layers this would be by far the best out there! I think this is the best anatomy app but it could be incredible. Everyone needs this on their phone..Version: 5.6

LOVE THIS APP. USE IT ALL THE TIME.I’ve used this app a hundred times if I’ve used it once. I have a complex series of health problems and I’ve had a lot of injuries. This app helps me to understand and visualize what has happened when I’m injured and it helps me talk to my doctor about them. I have also learned a lot about anatomy from studying this app. The one thing I’d like to see more in depth illustrations of is the nerves, to help me trace the nerve pathways through the arms and legs and see where they originate..Version: 5.6

Great!Really helpful if you're studying any part of anatomy!.Version: 3.1

Great appReally good detail and helped learn a lot for my education..Version: 5.0

Fascinating!I love to scroll through all the bones and muscles. My long-term goal is to memorize a few sections - but since I’m no doctor, that may take a while ! Julie.Version: 5.8

Could use a little more but very goodI would love to see a bit more in anatomical positions and planes and positions.Version: 5.5

Great helpReally helpful in learning . Being able to see the body 3 D from different views makes learning and finding the structures easy.Version: 5.5

Awesome app!1st yr nursing student and I'm loving this app.Version: 3.1

Just what I needed!A great app for those studying anatomy related courses/degrees, informative and helpful in its layout..Version: 4.4

GreAt for muscle reference and more!!!Had this about a year now. As a massage therapist it’s a wonderful quick reference guide to help me assess my clients. Gives all the info I need and I love that it not only gives the origin, insertion and action but a visual of the action(s) of the muscle. Bonus: includes all body systems-skeleton, nerves, circulatory, etc..Version: 5.5

Visual anatomyQuick and easy guide to review muscle names, origins and insertions. Would recommend to first year nursing and massage students:).Version: 3.1

Very handy app!Found this very handy when studying my cert 3 and 4 in fitness.Version: 3.1

So helpful!I really love this app. It is clear and easy to use. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is that when I leave one page and then go back it didn’t stay where I left it and I have to “start all over” every time I switch from one section to another. Other than that, I think this will be helpful to people with many levels of understanding. I suspect Grey’s Anatomy won’t be coming off the shelf much anymore..Version: 5.5

Best anatomy appLove this app. I use it for life drawing. Incredibly versatile and a comprehensive, interactive resource. Highly recommend it!.Version: 7.0

Great AppVery informative for those with a curious nature. I have used it on a number of occasions to help understand the nature of an injury..Version: 5.5

Great appThis app is pretty good for regular people, probably docs will be mad at it but overall, it helps to understand our body. Good job.Version: 5.0

Great AppThis application is the perfect companion to my PT Certification course material. Maybe future updates could include more VO explaining the functions. But, I’m not complaining at ALL..Version: 5.5

Great appGreat app for medical students. Excellent information. Allows for quick study on the go..Version: 4.1

Great app for massage therapistsThumbs up!!!!.Version: 4.1

Great program! This program was very helpful and the interactive focus was great for the course I am working through..Version: 4.1

AnatomyOutstanding app. I use it to formulate a diagnosis all the time. Keep up the great updates. Thanks.Version: 6.2

Good reference appBut somewhat limited. Not as much rotational parts or multiple views as I thought there would be..Version: 5.0

Great appI love using and learning from this app, however I would like to be able hear how the word is spoken. So I have the pronunciation correct. The sound does not work..Version: 5.5
