The Wonder Weeks Pros

Wonderful AppSo very informative and helpful in understanding our little ones development. Amazing!!!.MandaNZ86Version: 8.0.1

Amazing service!I never leave reviews but this one was necessary after dealing with an issue in the app. I contacted the support team as my subscription hadn’t been added to my app, so there’s me convinced I’ve wasted money because it’s an app and they’ll never get back to me. Within 24 hours they had responded and told me an update as the app had a bug which needed solving which would be fixed with the next update, and within 24 hours after that, the update was released and the issue was fixed! Not only is the support team incredibly helpful, the app itself and its content is amazing for tracking and explaining your baby’s behaviour and their development..CortxoxoxVersion: 10.3

The Wonder Weeks Cons

Questionable information!I really wouldn’t bother… My little one is currently 5 months old and it Says things like - talk to him a lot - absolutely you should be doing this as he is getting familiar with words. It then goes onto to say, ‘when you put his sandwich on the table, say here’s your sandwich’. Here’s where I find issue. What five month old is eating a sandwich.. it just makes me question the knowledge and understanding of the individuals who created this app that they think five month olds are ploughing through ham sandwiches! Sounds like something my husband would have written pre baby. For us none of the timings of his leaps have been accurate at all and why would you want to know when your baby is going to be fussy, it’s sadistic! Just go with it, trust me, you’ll know when they’re fussier then normal! I’ve found I’ve not used the app at all and gain a lot more information reading about age development online via different educational resources. I know there is also a lot of concern also for parents missing signs that their baby is unwell as they chalk it down to ‘going through a leap’. In summary, spend your £5 on a rattle instead, your baby will appreciate that so much more..BeaniefennVersion: 10.6.8

Limited content on this paid appAlthough this is a paid app, it only lists examples of behaviour to look out for and refers the user to buy the book for the full list. So despite having paid for the app, I need to make further purchases to actually get a good understanding of my baby’s behaviour during a “leap”. If I’d known this before purchasing the app, I would not have bothered buying the app. The developer has responded to my above criticism that this app was advertised as a “summary”. I’ve reread the description of the app and do not believe that this was clearly advertised. The key features even say, “learn ALL about the leaps and bounds and the fussy phases of your baby” and “Read the bestselling Wonder Weeks book here in this app”. The description does not advertise the app as being merely a summary if further payments are not made..ZohannonVersion: 9.0.5
