✓ Way too complex in the first levelSo you might be wondering what I mean by ‘way too complex in the first level’ well, when I started, I had to learn animals but when they said some words I had to put my ear to the speaker on my iPad and press the repeat button again and again and again. Some words are very hard as the app does not explain anything to you. I would suggest a different app that I used before. I stoped using the other app though because it needed money to go to the next lesson..Version: 1.9.1
✓ BrokenBeen wanting to use this app but for some reason its always exiting out no matter what. Hope you can fix this problem because i really want to use this app 😭😭😩😩😩.Version: 1.8.0
✓ I just downloaded it....I just downloaded the app excited cause of all the positive comments but as soon as I opened the app it loaded for a second and the home page turned up for maybe 2 seconds and then the app exited itself? Tried opening multiple times still didn't work :(.Version: 1.7.0
✓ Meagre but promisingWould be great but for the fact you only get 5 very short lessons. Fine for kiddies, but if like me you know a handful of words already, you'll whizz through this. ✓ Uh, NO!I work in a factory with real live Japanese people. If I learn Japanese, I will actually be talking to real people, in the real world, in a business setting. The first things I need to learn are NOT the names of animals, or numbers, or the parts of my face. Good Lord, who writes this stuff? I need to learn useful, basic things like hello and goodbye, good and bad, yes and no, "what's happening?" "see you tomorrow" and "have a good night." I am not going to wade through hours hours of words I might never use, so I can dig , fight and pull out the useful basics that THE EXPERTS should know enough to prioritize. Did I even give it an honest try? Certainly NOT. One look at the table of contents was enough to tell me all I needed to know. No. Definitely not..Version: 1.7.0

✓ Japanese appIt needs a simple level then change to a mid-level into a hard level using sentences rather than just the word at the end in order to teach that ear to hear this different sounds. The advertisements would be better to be in bundles rather than with every lesson because they become distracting and annoying. Advertising is something that is needed I’m sure, but it would be better to put it at the end and have it as a choice of advertisement for something that you would be interested in rather than just throwing things out that most people are not interested in. Perhaps advertising for further education in Japanese, since Japanese was the app chosen..Version: 1.9.1
✓ Multiple vocabulary errors but fun and easy to useFrom the free lessons I noticed a few words that were not correct/inaccurate romanization. For example, foot was listed as 足 (あし, ashi), but this doesn't specifically mean foot but rather the whole leg and foot. It mostly means leg more than foot at that. Also, the romanization for 7 was wrong from the hiragana used. 7 was written as しち (shichi) but romanized as "nana" which is inaccurate! I'm not sure about the lessons they charge you for but those are just for the free ones that I played..Version: 1.7.0

✓ FunI love this I’m 1 hour 30 minutes into the app 9 lessons in and I ace all lessons, I love how they give a picture to relate to the word you are learning, now I have some issues with the free lessons since I have paid for the app, why am I having to wait hours for the next free lesson ? I would have given the app a 5 but again I paid for the app why do I have to see a commercial/advertisement for a game after each test, that’s the only reason I give it a 4, I would have gladly paid a little more to avoid advertising, it also has some bugs like the yellow back ground doesn’t allow you to see the word written in whit on the iPad, on the iPhone the word is under the repeat button,last issue I have is it’s been over a year not a single update or a single new lesson.Version: 1.9.1
✓ Not too badEasy to use, though could have the hiragana, on top of the Kanji, rather than the romaji,(English) which is useless. As if u r up to learning Kanji, hiragana is the best way to get the appropriate pronunciation..Version: 1.9.1
✓ Little opportunityI would have given this a higher rating had there been more lessons. For some reason the lessons go from 1-2 then jump to 7. What happened to 3-6? This is a mighty easy app to use and exceptionally user friendly however it's lack of lessons left me wanting..Version: 1.7.0

✓ Learning numbers and other itemsSince I do know how to count in Japanese, this was’t that difficult for me. But I don’t see any instructions on how to start it or how it points out lets you know what the correct choice would be. Someone who doesn’t know Japanese to begin with may have a difficult time. Also, the numbers only went 1-9. Not including any of the decimal numbers. Too many of the objects use the Americanized Japanese pronunciation of the object I.e. keyboard=Kibodo. Apple=apporru. That is not actual Japanese..Version: 1.9.1
✓ CrashesI really didn't want to give a bad review because from the images and the good reviews it seems like a good app. But for me it opens and then immediately crashes, and there is no way of contacting the developer. The website/help attached goes to his card game site and there is no contact area. I'm using a iPhone 5s. I've tried restarting, hard resetting, uninstalling and reinstalling and disabling Game Center. It still crashes..Version: 1.7.0
