✓ Great app, with a niggly little problemMy 6 year old loves this app. It's such a fun way to cement sight words in his brain. The only downside is how easy it is to reset progress, I wish it were password protected or somehow enabled as an adult only feature..Version: 1.2

✓ FunSo much fun for many different ages. My eldest likes to play this properly and very seriously, making sure to only hit the correct word as it comes up. Whereas my youngest, who is only 3, thinks that hitting the all the eggs is great. He loves the splatting eggs and the flying animals but also loves when he gets the right answer. ✓ Terrific for sight wordsThe children in my class all play reading eggs at home on their PCs. At school they are playing Eggy Words on the school IPads and enjoying it. Even the better readers enjoy the game. Maybe there could be a variation to the game style after a few games of the floating eggs. Maybe searching under the straw for eggs, or putting the correct egg into a basket. I am assuming that you were trying to get a game out as quickly as you could for the IPad. I hope you continue to extend the game to include sentence making and cloze games for comprehension. Could you also make something for number, measurement, data collection and other areas of the mathematics curriculum?.Version: 1.1

✓ Kids lose interest quicklyMy son initially enjoys it, but after the first 5 eggs it takes a very long time for the word to come up again so I find him waiting, waiting, waiting and then looses interest. Each level to get 3 eggs is too long. Would be great if a few levels were different to the previous ones..Version: 1.1
✓ Pretty goodWe have the online program, so thought this would be good. But this game is stupid and misleading. Only 2 of the words work, not 100. So if the free game is stupid and doesn't work why would I buy the paid game. Fix it. Oops, let me change my 1star to 4 My 5 yr old has figured it out and likes. It still drives me crazy but he likes it better than another 100 word game. So soon I'll purchase the fee game..Version: 1.1
✓ Love this appMy little 5 year old loves this app. It does a great job of progressing throughout the words and the puzzle is a great reward feature. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars, is because it should allow you to control the speed of the words if we choose to. Especially for the smaller eggs cycle. My little one has vision challenges and it hurts her eyes because of the combination of co ours, the size of the eggs and the speed. I think if yo can control the speed then it would be more comfortable even for me, or if you can choose to have the egg size remain constant, then it would be much better. Please please please consider this as she can only do one or two words and then she has to stop, even waiting for the next day. Otherwise this is a fun great app to teach sight words. ✓ Fab App & websiteWe have been using the reading eggs website since September '11 and it's fab it's brought my daughters reading skills on amazingly even received good comments off her teacher at how advanced she is for her age! She loves how fun the site is to use without it being a strict teaching tool, its learning to read the fun way through games etc. I was so excited when I recvd the email about this app and quickly downloaded it it's just as good as the website subscription and will be a well used app from now on. The phonics sounds are exactly how they learn them in school unlike a lot of other apps which are Americanised! I'd defo recommend this app and the reading eggs website subscription. I hope that reading eggs will now go on to make an iPad app for their subscription membership as its a shame that won't work on iPad so the laptop needs to be powered up each time :-(.Version: 1.0.0
✓ Fun but TOO fast @times REVALUATEDHave played with the App more... I think the first 10 eggs move at a nice (slow) pace. For a beginning reader, it is not a given to get the first 10 eggs without loosing a life. I'm guessing one could get to 10 eggs within 3 lives. The frustration with the speed comes after you successfully get 10 eggs- at that point the speed picks up. You only NEED to get 10 points to successfully complete the level and unlock the next word. We probably need to encourage our kids to move on and not bother with perfection on every level. 10 eggs in 3 lives is good enough for the beginner or slow..Version: 1.0.0
