✓ WorthlessOnly good for looking at the provided “Sample” files. No easy way to get .sldprt or .sldasm files into the app anymore. With previous versions of the app and iOS, it was as easy as “opening in.” Now the icon for the app has disappeared from the list. You now have to save to your files in the “Files” app. eDrawings gives an error when you try to open files. Don’t waste your money on this..Version: 7.2.7

✓ When it works, it works great - but it isn't working for me.EASM files are opening fine. However, my Engineer provided >SLDASM file types, which are listed in the app types that eDrawings Pro should open, and when I try after downloading it from Dropbox the app simply crashes. A bug? ✓ Does not work!Same constant memory warning popups as in the standard version with no other app running. I thought that the added functions should have been provided to the standard version without having to pay for a pro version. I expected this to work but disappointed again. ✓ Don't bother use the free oneWaste of money, typical solidworks bring something out without testing it, just like the real solidworks. Stick with the free one. The mark up: does not mark diameters, only displays m, can't draw straight line. The reason I bought this was so I could change the display state it did not work, it was only a assembly with 13 parts also it came up with a memory warning, I was using an ipad mini. ✓ App won't openI was able to view the sample drawings but when I went into iTunes and added my own the app no longer opens. I removed the files, reinstalled the app, even restored my iPad but the app just won't work. I want my money back, don't waste your money on this app. I'm ready to just switch to auto desk, at least their app works. New app update, now the app opens and works with the demo drawings but as soon as you add any of your files the app crashes immediately With the newest update, I can now open a couple of my simple parts, but anything complex and it crashes immediately. ✓ Waste of money until fixed, BROKEN APP!So I tried out the free version and it seemed fine. After the first update it began to run slow, especially with anything of decent size. Even section views were extremely slow and laggy. Now when I try to open a file nothing even comes up, and for some reason it swtiches them to .eprt when viewed. ✓ Not ready yetCompletely unusable. Non-stop crashing with any of my parts, assemblies, or drawings. It crashes so frequently and so badly that I can not even tell what the issues are. Very bad disappointment from a major vendor. This had great potential for showing projects to supervisors, other researches, clients, etc, but the software is just not ready. ✓ Importing modelsThis would be a great app if it worked. I imported 40 solid works models by email. About 4 of them opened. At that point, all disappeared including the sample files that came with the app. Most never showed on screen. I gave it 1 star because if you don't, you can't submit the review. ✓ Waste of moneyI have used the free version of this app for a while, but had a specific job that required the ability to turn the layers of a 2d drawing on or off. ✓ Ok start but needs workThe layout could be simpler and more intuitive. would greatly enjoy if there was two changes to AR feature to showcase model to others unfamiliar to CAD. 1. allow for an option that would not require card for scaling. this would be great to show model at ease with minimal flickering from searching for card/PDF print. 2. make the barcode fit a standard business card. this would make much more sense from a mobile standpoint. phone and wallet is all you would need to showcase model to scale while on the go..Version: 4.0.1

✓ Seems uselessI purchased this app a couple of years ago and it worked fine for a while. For the last year or so I have been unable to open any more solidworks files with it. The option to open with eDrawings just doesn't show up on my 6S Plus with the latest iOS. I was unsuccessful to resolve this issue despite several email communications with their customer service. It was a very useful app while it worked, I am very disappointed that it is still on sale and it doesn't work..Version: 5.0.0
✓ Worked alright but not for SLDWRKS 2016I use this to show potential clients my current skill set during interviews. Ever since I upgraded to Solidworks 2016 functionality ceased. An upgrade has not happened since 2014 so hopefully they fix this soon..Version: 3.3.1
✓ Great App with a few small bugsGreat to finally see this on the iPhone. Works really nice and super fast on iPhone 5 with a few bugs. When exporting an eDrawing file from Creo/Pro Engineer the explode function does not seem to work. If you save the eDrawing in its exploded state, it will open in the app as such. The exploded icon is greyed out, but if you press the home key it unexplodes the assembly. After this there is no way of exploding the file again and you have to reload the file. Not sure if this is the case when exporting/loading a native SolidWorks file. That's really my only bug....otherwise it works well as it is intended. Don't expect to much from the iPhone version though...it's really just a viewer with a few bells and whistles. I mainly use it on the fly when talking to clients/tool makers....handy to zoom in and take a screen grab and be able to email what you are talking about etc. I'm sure this app will be developed and supported really well, as SolidWorks do a great job in general..Version: 2.1.0

✓ Woulda/Coulda/ShouldaThis is a perfect example of what an fail vision for an app is. You can’t use it as a “File viewer” to gain access to your cloud files(google drive or iCloud) So the only way that I’ve found to use it is attempt to find the files itself first, then hope that edrawings is listed under the apps allowed to open it. But it only actually shows up 1/2 the time. If you try to open a DWG file(it claims it can do this) the app will crash and not prompt a report to be sent..Version: 3.3.1
✓ Can't open slightly large EDrawings file (60MB)Complete waste of money - went pro because their free app was crashing. Their own EDrawings files of only 60MB size crashes this app. We have tried to work with SW support but they treat us with disdain because we only have 4 seats of SW. We have seats of Solidworks and really wanted to find a platform to share models with non-SW people like managers and sales people. SW is loosing badly and this kind of horrible support (their Mac EDrawings app is the worst!) is going to drive customers away. ✓ Wont open most of my dwg filesI use my Ipad regularly in conjucntion with work I do on a personal laptop. I wanted the ability to look at and do some basic markups of dwg files on the ipad. I purchased pro version and am very disappointed..It will not open most of my dwg files which arent very big or complex.. ✓ Measure tool uselessNo real bells and whistles, fine. Streamlined interface, nice. Configurations and exploded views, sweet! But the reason I dropped 10 bucks on an app? The measure tool, to allow useful collaboration. Simple right? How can you screw up the measure tool? Oh, turns out it's easy. ITS TOO SMALL TO READ! Brilliant Dassault Systemes! ✓ IPad - how do you use it?I purchased this app for the iPad and cant figure out how to open a file. There is absolutely NO context sensitive help or any help menu available. ✓ Great Potential - Not quite there yetThis app has come in handy on several occasions when showing models to clients and for meetings. It’s a bit cumbersome and could certainly use Apple Pencil support as well as a better AR tool. Unfortunately, the UI needs a lot of work, configurations don’t load well, surface textures don’t appear, and up until last month, it no longer recognizes my files since it only supports up to 2019 and I’m already at 2020. Hopefully SolidWorks will throw some more support behind this because it does come in handy at times. Would be nice if you could export drawings as PDF’s, models as .STP or .XT, use Apple’s AR kit to show case models for customers (and include texture support), and maybe, just maybe, since we’re already paying customers, include a version that would allow for model creation and not just be a viewer. My iPad Pro handles the models and assemblies just fine and the hardware is only getting better..Version: 7.2.7

✓ Don't buy yetWith all the bugs in the previous version, I was hoping this 'pro' version would iron some of them out. First EASM I attempt to open gives me a memory error and the App then crashes. This is with no other Apps running and a fresh iPad restart. Have never expected much quality from Dassault, but a working App is bare minimum. They should take a page out of Autodesk's book. ✓ File Compatibility IssuesOnly opens about 50% of the files I try to load. SLDPRT, SLDASM, EASM. For $10, this app doesn't deliver on the “professional” promise as often need to move to my laptop to actually show the files. ✓ Good but needs a lot of attention!I paid full price for the pro version as I really hope that Solidworks will reward its premium users with really attentive support and invaluable updates. This app, I hope, is realised by them as in its infancy and will go from strength to strength as updates come out. As is the app does what it needs to do, albeit somewhat buggy. The AR is an amazing tool when you come up with a good use for it and the markups are fine but again both need a lot of care to make them useful and big performance enhancements especially for AR. I'd recommend now but for the future I'd like to see Solidworks add some additional features for the mobile end if eDrawings that make it an incredible presentation tool as well as just a viewer. My clients have loved seeing their products in AR so far but let's see if we can go a step further..Version: 3.0.1
