Thus, it now goes from a 4 to a 5 star app for me! ________ This is an amazing app!!! The only reason it doesn’t get a 5 star for me is the problem of zooming in and selecting of a specific town or geographical body. Once you select a town/geographical body for more information- you cannot simply back up to where you at on the map before selecting said item. You must find the entire region (Westeros, Essos, etc.) again and zoom back in (which takes some time because it is a very excellent, extensive, and large map). However, that is only one small correction. If you are a ASOIAF or Game of Thrones fan- this is “must have” and very helpful! Thank you for making this wonderful app!!!.Version: 3.0

✓ Great guide.I just started reading the series and wanted something other than the web to keep track of all the amazing characters and world of GoT. Instead of needing to fire up the PC or Laptop this app provides all the information you need to enjoy the world Martin has created. He created one of the most detailed, if not daunting fantasy worlds ever, and It is a bit overwhelming to keep track of or understand at first. This app has all you need to get quick references or detail about anything in the books. The maps are essential and having an idea of what the characters look like, without watching the series helps bring the books alive. One of the best parts is the spoiler control which keeps you from finding too much information too soon. The only issue is you may need to turn the slider up to see some information which it otherwise hides. You may inadvertently find out what happens before you read it. Otherwise, you can cross reference people and places with ease. The price is not too steep,about the price of a mass paperback, which is a small price to pay to have all your information in one place and conveniently organized. Sure a lot of this information is a on the web, however, the spoiler control and the one stop shop makes this app essential to getting into the series..Version: 2.2.1

Immediately I was struggling with piecing together where everything is (on the kindle the maps are kinda hard to see), but then I came across this app. Having tried it for 5 minutes I ended up buying the full thing, and so far it's proven to be the best companion to the books ever. ✓ Well done.The new update is really cool. I already own the lands of ice and fire maps but they are to big to take to bed and use as a companion for the audio books. Now I have them on my trusty ipad it's perfect (the originals have been framed and now look really cool on my living room wall). I love the option to turn the pins on and off, total thumbs up, keep up the good work. You could spoil us by adding more artwork for characters, no matter how small a part they have. Also the Bravvos map would be a nice addition. Maybe some new artwork not found in the illustrated version, like a detailed maps of winter fell, caste rely rock, old town, pantos and Qarth. While it doesn’t contain everything, it is a good source of information if you are looking for a quick refresh on some bit of information. Seeing the map with the main character travel paths throughout the series is also very useful and insightful when looking at the overall story and picture of events throughout the novels. Overall, it’s a fantastic app, although I would like it see it updated more frequently with information. It has been a while since that has happened. Lastly, if the developer is reading this, I noticed an error with some information. On the Sorrowful Men page, the last sentence refers to “Maester Illyrio”, however this should read “Magister Illyrio.”.Version: 3.4

This app allows readers to plug in the name of any given character and learn much about their past, who they’ve interacted with and more… I can recall being 2 sentences into a Cercei chapter when she mentions Lollys Stokeworth… after checking the app I became familiar with Lollys (who I thought based on the name was a knight not a lady) and how she fits into the story. I spent the next hour falling down a rabbit hole, as I clicked on other characters and places in her description, that lead me to more characters and more events. The app allows readers to finally understand the story, lost in an ocean of Names , places and histories of Westeros..Version: 3.4

There are a few ways to navigate the information on offer, the most satisfying of which is to look at the gorgeous maps and tap on places of interest to read about what has gone on in that location. Once in the information page on any character or location you can tap on names to instantly go to the info on these places or people and you can lose hours, even after having read all the books more than once! I've read all books (to date) watched every episode numerous times and followed several websites, but this app pulls all the disparate storylines together and makes sense of off-hand remarks. My only complaint is that the differences between the books and the TV script are made murkier through the app. The relationship between Mance Rader and Giantsbane, for example, confuses readers as there is no explanation about which is the book story and which is the script story. ✓ Absolutely Amazing!The first version of this app left a bit to be desired. The original map was slow and difficult to use. This new version adds the official map as seen in Lands of Ice and Fire, and apparently tons more references and characters, too. The character bios are very well written and do a great job of reminding you of the salient points of the character you look up. It would have been all too easy to get bogged down with minor details, but the bios do a good job of balancing detail with brevity, truly giving you the essentials while not skipping over specifics. I'm SO happy with my purchase. It really helps me as I make my way through the books. Way more useful than the appendixes and maps included in the novels. One request for future versions: Entries for the NightsWatch and the people beyond the Wall. Also the Quarth map..Version: 1.3.4

If you are constantly asking yourself who so and so is then you should definitely get this, and having all the spoiler’s unlocked will help all fan. I will state that I would love to see more of the House lineages, or family trees. ✓ Developer please helpHave tried to send email after hitting the help icon but I am not sure if it’s the right email address. First off let me say I really love this application. There can be a lot of confusion due to the complex story lines and so many characters and locations. This application is so helpful in keeping everything and everybody straight in your head. I appreciate the brief but informative backstories of the characters and locations as well. The maps are so very thorough and so easy to navigate as well. It’s worth every penny. Now to my issue DEVELOPERS- I have purchased everything and have the slider all the way over to the 5th book but in spite of that some of the characters journey’s are locked. For example I chose Brienne of Tarth and it informed me the book she first appears in is not unlocked and sends me to the slider screen to unlock it. The slider is already set to unlock all 5 books(all the way over to ‘the right side over ‘A Dance With Dragons’) Could you give advice here and or send me the correct email to direct my question? I was introduced to the show first then decided to read the books. I am obviously glad I did because as good as the show is, the books are better and this app is the cherry on top. The map is a great aid while I have been “rereading” the story via audible. Minor characters have bios to help you recall them from previous books. Being able to follow a favorite character on the map through their story chapter by chapter is awesome...I could go on and on but the free content is great and the option for full in-depth info is well worth it to me for just $5. ✓ Great, but room for improvementGenerally well made, informative and useful guide to Game of Thrones. However, there are some glaring omissions. For instance there is no section dedicated to The Other / White Walkers / Wights or The Night King, Stone Men etc. A section for key events (e.g. the Red Wedding, The Battle of Blackwater etc) would be handy. The artwork is beautiful, but there could be more of it (e.g. there’s no artwork for direwolves). A way to browse the artwork easily (i.e. a gallery) would be a nice addition too. A deep search option could be extremely useful too (i.e. one that searches through all of the text within the app). The current search seems to be limited to character, place, creature, item names that have there own sections. For instance, searching for greyscale yields no results, despite there being several references to the condition on various character pages (e.g Griff, Shireen Baratheon). The same happens if you search for High Septon. Minor quibbles aside, this app is a useful and well put together reference for Game of Thrones fans..Version: 3.0

This prevents newbies being brought into contact with spoilers - which let's be honest, the cliffhangers and epic twists us what makes the whole thing! The spoiler protection is a PAID feature but is easily worth the 5 dollar asking price. I wish the bottom of the pages had a little bounce when you scroll to the bottom and that the UI was a little more clear. ✓ V informative except for weird omissionsThis app is crucial for reviewing and remembering all the characters and plot lines. I love it, especially the pictures of the characters as GRRM sees them (?). One weird thing, however, is that some characters and houses etc. are missing. So far I have found that House Bolton is missing, lady Stoneheart (OK, OK, she is covered under her original name)'and Coldhands is also missing. I have a theory about who he is...
