Sky Guide Pros

ExcellentThis app is excellent. Robust and reliable. It may not be so detailed as some of the more professional apps but is an excellent introduction to the night sky and remarkably accurate. The fact that it doesn't need a cell connection or internet connection makes it extremely practical. It’s so good it can be used as a navigation aid for astrophotography. It certainly gets you into the close vicinity of objects for photography. if you mount your phone on top of your camera via the hot shoe adaptor the app will guide you to your chosen object using directional arrows on the screen. It works really well with none of the set up hassle of a goto motorised scope. Just tap the little compass icon once and it goes to work. Brilliant!.MerlinsApprenticeVersion: 8.1.7

Thank You!Thank you for making such a beautiful and informative app. I’ve used this app for two years and it has brought me much joy to be able to not only get live updates about space but well constructed articles, and the ability to peer back into time all in one sleek and beautiful user interface. I have yet to see any thing like this come close to your quality of work in general. I’m 16 and this has forever changed the way I see the night sky. Keep up the good work, and look forward to anything else you guys make..TillandsiaTreeVersion: 8.1.9

Sky Guide Cons

Information Outdated and IncorrectThe information is outdated. New Horizons flew past MU69 week’s ago and Humanity Star reentered the atmosphere in March. Some of the information is incorrect too. The supernova that created the pulsar Geminga was never recorded (Sky Guide refers to it as SN 347) and Alpha Centauri is not the closest star to the Sun. Some of the confirmed exoplanets should be included too, such as Proxima Centauri B as well as all of the objects in the NGC and TYC catalogues..Anonymous462826Version: 7.1
