✓ IOS 14 drains batteryOn IOS 14 the app constantly pops up an error cannot connect to network and also drains the battery of my iPad Pro 11 inch rapidly. This is probably caused by some issues constantly trying to update and show the spinner perpetually. This occurs for the last 8 issues or so Mar 2020 onwards. Selecting restore purchases from settings pops up a selection dialogue but none of the buttons worked. I just renewed my subscription after having it on hold for a year and would like to read the magazine.Version: 6.0.0
✓ Multiple issues.Previous versions of this app worked well but I'm unable to download the latest copy of the magazine since updating to version 4.9.48. Also, neither the Restore Purchases nor the Login features work despite being able to log into the web site. Better testing of updates is required..Version: 4.9.48

✓ OK for back issues, can't print articles, poor valueTitle says it all really. I don't have a subscription, so can't comment on the issues that others have noted, but it works OK for buying back issues or new issues individually, which I have done whilst laid up after surgery. The problem is, you can't print out articles of interest, so if you can't file away paper copies of individual articles (unless I've missed something?). Compared with buying a paper copy, then, this is poor value for money..Version: 4.9.35
✓ App keeps on crashingEvery time I open the app it crashes and then even after a few tries before it opens properly. Why? None of my other apps do this..Version: 6.0.0
✓ Worse than the previous appHard to believe, but the new app is even more unstable and temperamental than the previous one, while adding nothing in terms of meaningful features, performance, or improved navigation. Moreover, it installs in parallel to the previous app, rather than replacing it, so you end up with both apps. To add insult to injury, while the new app "knows" which issues you have purchased, it can not access them (even though your old app still can, i.e. they are still "there" on your ipad), so you end up having to download all content again. The re-download is painfully slow and unreliable, regardless of your internet speed (pocket mags must be too stingy for anything except the narrowest bandwidth). This last problem also affects the old app, of course. In summary, forget about this "new app"/"upgrade" until the stability issues are solved - BTW it took a good 9 months for the previous app to achieve a modicum of reliability, so don't hold your breath in terms of rapid fixes for the new app. In the meantime stick with the old app. As a last observation: if download speed and remaining issues in old app (and all the issues in the new app) are not fixed soon, I will not be renewing my electronic subscription to Hi-Fi News..Version: 4.9.4
