I cannot recommend this app enough. There are so many different melodies you can create to suit what you are doing that there's bound to be something to suit you. I particularly love the Autumn range of sounds. This app has helped me have at least an extra 4 hours added to my previous 2-3 hours per night and it also helps calm me down when I'm stressed. When I wake up and hear this, I know I am not sleeping over and can go back to sleep. If I wake and don't hear it, then I can wonder what time it is and if I need to get up. I know it sounds crazy but doing this has saved me from acquiring sleeping pills and has granted me at least another hour of sleep per night according to my sleep tracker that I wear. Less than a minute apart in the sound loop, what sounds like a male voice says something with 4 syllables. I love the friendly and easy user interface of being able to combine different sounds and control the volume of each sound. I also love being able to save custom sound combos to different favorites lists. The only thing it's missing for me is the inclusion of white/brown/pink noise. I need that because it's constant, and the tiny lull and dip of the other noises is enough to let outside sound in and wake me. So I open another app to get the brown noise I need and then I open this, select from my favorites list, and I'm good to go. Another thing I like about it is that it plays well with the Sleep Cycle app. Some noise apps automatically close when I run Sleep Cycle, which is annoying. I will say, despite my disappointment in not receiving the Guided Meditations, the soundscapes, binaural beats, and isochronic tones, have made this app bundle a treasure. I love its seasonal groupings of sounds, the wide variety of sounds and powerful mixing, saving, and timer features. My ONE wish is that the Christmas carols could be set to loop as a set rather than as now where it plays a single song with such a short repeat it's useless to use them as background music. ✓ GoodAlarm isn't enough to wake me, but I'm the kind of morning person who has an alarm set every 15minutes for the first hour, then every 10 for the second. Also, it would be nice if the rain sounds varied a bit, like real rain comes in waves of heavier and lighter falls during rain storms. They're pretty much the only not spectacular things about the app. It has a great variety of sounds, and is programable too. ✓ Love it!!!!!I've always had trouble turning my mind off and the older I get, the lighter I seem to sleep once I get there. I wake up at every little thing. But not with this app. After conditioning my body to it, I fall asleep more quickly and sleep more soundly with fewer interruptions. I love that I can play so many sounds cause I tend to find the pattern in a loop and my brain focuses on it and I can't sleep. With this, I turn on 7 or 8 of my favorite soothing sounds at once to create a jumble of white noise where my brain can't catch the loop and i sleep so much better! Plus it's free!
