✓ IPhone Waveform Great idea!I always thought a iPhone Waveform would be cool. Well here it is! Once it's calibrated It's a great way to get a approximate idea of what the camera will see before pulling it out. Check your green screen uniformity and luminance level. A quick ratio check. If you could custom the gamma it would go a bit further..Version: 1.0

✓ Buy this appEven as a backup this app is one to buy. If you don't already have a meter then buy it now. I just compared the meter to that of my Gossen Luna-Pro SBC and they matched perfectly. As a cinematographer the FPS option makes things easy, The GOSSEN is quicker, easier to see all options at all speeds and exposure comps etc....but it wasn't 5 dollars. ✓ A must have for indie workWhy is this app essential? Because at some point in your progress as a cinematographer you reach the stage of giving your footage a filmic look through controlling lighting. It's all about key to fill and key to background lighting ratios. It's about knowing how to expose properly for skin. It requires looking at dynamic range. This app helps in so very many ways. ✓ CameramanI was on a film commercial shoot when an AC sent me the link to this app. The director, gaffer and I downloaded it and compared it to both meter readings and dailies. This is not a gimmick or toy but a really accurate light meter! For 4.99 you'd be foolish not have this on your phone in case your meter battery dies or your scouting or just curious what a beautiful moment would meter at.
