✓ It really just works!This is the first expense tracking app on iOS that I love. It does what it says, tracks your expenses with simple categories. No connecting to your bank, no budgets or bloat! For it to be a 5 star app it needs: 1. a simple 'add' icon to add a new tile (category). 2. ability to delete tiles that aren't being used. 3. put the tile most recently used in top left-hand corner. This way the top few rows would always indicate what you are spending on most often. 4. be able to delete a mistake from any of the 3 screens. 5. a neater way to swipe away the number pad once done. 6. Love the ability to sync and get more details on expenditure on iPad and Mac too. ✓ PerfectI have been trying to find a simple app like this for ages.. I resorted to using Numbers excel style sheets to keep track of expenses but it took time to fill in each cell manually. This is so simple but effective. Tap the category, change the date (if required) type in the price and hit enter.. Calculates automatically and shows you in graph form. Recommended..Version: 3.5
✓ Very near perfect now.After a few dicey moments with bugs and reliability a year or so ago it now seems ALMOST totally reliable. The only slight issue remains the big it's had for YEARS whereby editing a pre-entered recurring expense will almost always completely mess up the entry, usually requiring 4 or 5 attempts at re-edit before it'll save the description and amount you want instead of seemingly randomised values. Other than that though, and after a sobering experience with simply APPALLING issues with speed, reliability and total inability to sync with its rival "Pennies" I've had for over 18 months now, I think a bump up to 5 stars is in order..Version: 4.7.3

✓ The simplest and the bestTruly the best app for expense logging. It’s as simple as it gets and so as fast as it can be. It’s not an app for tracking your balances, you can use mint for that, this one is specifically for tracking where you money go to and keeping yourself on track. P.S. This app is the only one I can use consistently because it's not overwhelming. It does just what I need to track expenses and does it in a really clean, intuitive way. I had emailed the developer to request this (along with hundreds of others, I'm sure) and they replied right away, letting me know it would be in the next update. At a glance you can tap in expenses for whatever you're spending on, then see daily totals as well as graphs on spending on, say, coffees or hardware. Very flexible and versatile. ✓ Superb - slick, easy to use…but please include recurring expenses!!I was looking for an expense tracker. Didn’t want budgets or income, just something that I can easily keep track of what goes out. I spent a good period of time googling and then testing a bunch. One person’s opinion of course, but this one light years ahead of anything else I found. So clean and quick to use and looks great - it’s actually quite enjoyable to use even though you’re spending money! I can export the data to excel if I need to do any analytics on it - I’ve used this and the data comes out really organised and clean. There is one large miss on the app though. There is no recurring expense feature. I, like everyone else, have loads of expenses that go out monthly. This is part of what I want to monitor of course - and its a real shame that this isn’t included here. It would be easy too - just put in an expense like normal on a given date, and then just have a button that gives you the option of making this expense come back in subsequent months on that date. Easy!! And sooo useful!! I’m frustrated this feature isn’t present, it’s such an obvious miss. I didn’t want to give 5 stars as a result. However this really is a great app and so easy to use etc, it didn’t feel right not to give 5 stars. 6 stars if it has the recurring expense feature! So great app, thank you! ✓ Superb.I've looked for, and purchased, several 'Finance' apps. to assist me with keeping an on-the-go record of my numerous outgoings between paydays, but found them to be a little too demanding for my needs; all I want is an app. that's minimalist in design, intuitive, and quick to use: 'Next' has provided these needs in an inexpensive and well executed product. The layout is aesthetically pleasing, uncluttered, and intuitive. It segues nicely between each facet of the application, with each screen providing subtle, but useful, features. Using the application for that which it was designed - adding transactions - is superb overall, removing the burden of pre-requisites adopted by many other apps. of the same ilk. Literally select the icon that best represents your transaction, add the amount, with optional annotations, and submit. That's it. It offers a nice visual display of transactions committed, accompanied by enough information to identify the transaction. While this review doesn't offer a definitive overview, I wanted to highlight the salient functionality that compelled me to write a review in the first place. ✓ Very Promising V.1This app isn't everything I would want, but I'm sure it will be eventually. At the moment it is beautiful and intuitive, but lacking just a little functionality. With a lot of feedback and some work, it will be 5 stars. The main improvement I foresee has to do with expense categories. The symbols you select from aren't exactly exhaustive or crystal clear. I'd like to be able to customize this part a little. Like being able to ditch buttons you won't use (I'd lump coffee in with snacks and eating out) or adding buttons for specific expenses (I *guess* my Internet bill goes in with my rent?). ✓ Pretty good, though...This company is the same one that made moneybook, and there were features in that app that I feel like they could have used in this one: Backup/restore from backup. Link to mymoneybook online, so I can use this with all the data I've accumulated over the last two years. And notes, to type what each transaction was. That being said, I love the user interface of this app. It's slick! Much more so than MoneyBook ever was. And an iPad version would work wonders as well! I look forward to future updates. ✓ Simple and perfectEasy to start using, unlike other expense tracker apps I've tried. Just start entering expenses. Easy to edit entries (e.g., wrong date, wrong amount). Easy to see sorted totals by Week, Month, Year. This is *exactly* what I was looking for in an expense track app! Wishes - allow user-customizable text instead of pictures on Expense Category buttons - Passcode protection - And ability to dive into detail from Report/Graph view (but detail is available and edittabe in a different view).
