It's not easy to tell from the limited version how wide the vocabulary will be in the fuller versions however. ✓ It’s good...butIt’s a really good principal - but a little too easy - as most answers are obvious when you get the multiple choice. Would be great as you go up the levels if the multiple choice had answers that were similar so you had to think before pressing. Also with the writing one - LOVE the spelling - as you really have to think - but only available if the answer is one word - so as you get higher the words are all ready there - you are really just picking the order. Too easy... if we can’t type out the letters - then at least put some wrong words in the mix so you have to think about it. And some wrong spellings... so you are really learning how things are spelt and also put in some wrong verb conjugations - for example ils joue jouent -etc this is where most of us fall down with conjugations and spelling so would really like the writing game to be much harder and multiple choice answers less obvious. ✓ Recommended, but could use some workThis is a great little program in concept, and I'm glad I purchased the full version. That said, a few of the descriptions/photos are poorly matched. For example, it is common for there to be children and babies, and sometimes it is unclear what is intended to be a baby vs. a child. Similarly, there are some questions where they say something like "The baby's not crawling." Then there's a picture of a baby smiling and sitting, and another of a young child/toddler lying down. You have to guess at which one is older to figure out which one is not doing something (since neither are crawling). ✓ Great apart from Facebook requirementWe have the full Spanish version of this and I love it but am disappointed with this version for several reasons. First you need to login with Facebook or use the guest user. In the Spanish version you could create non-guest users in game allowing my Family each to have a user without requiring a Facebook account, handy when you have a 5 year old. I would like to see this feature in this. My child is learning French in school so I need to try remind myself of some vocab but want my child to be able to reinforce what they are learning in school too. Second problem is that there is no way to get the match picture game to repeat the phrase, annoying when the written word isn't displayed and you miss the audio cue. It forces you to guess and probably get it wrong. Apparat from that the games are fun. I would like to see some additional games though. I'd like to have words/phrases and their pictures that you have to match. I'd like the option to select audio/written/both for the clues.
