✓ It needs to update the questionsI just took the exam today and there were a lot of questions that aren’t in this app, and went thru the whole questions in this app. I would recommend getting the book as well. ✓ You need more than this app to pass the testDon't be fooled by other readers. This app will get you a 50/50 chance to pass the test. But you most certainly need to read most of the book (mostly the chapters on history and politics). Thankfully I came here and read the reviews the morning before my test. Bought the eKindle book, and managed to read half of of the book just before taking the test. And guess what? At least 6 questions were from book knowledge, most common sense, and the rest from the app. The app helps tremendously to increase your knowledge tenfold. But it won't let you pass the test with it alone. It's not like the driving test apps. You've been warned. Hence my 3 star review. ✓ The app stopped workingThe app was actually not bad at all, I was using it for a week or so, but then, very suddenly, it’s just stopped working. ✓ Overpriced for what it offerI bought the app based on the fact that it’s the official. It has a lot of good exams and test to do. It will give you a good direction for the exam, however you need to read the book as well. The app is a bit overpriced for what it offers and questions get repetitive. ✓ Nothing to do with the actual testThe questions in the app have nothing to do with the test. My pass rate in 14 mocks is 97% and gave me false confidence. 80% of the questions in real test were completely different. I would not recommend to use this app. Update after TMO response: the questions in the app do not contain at least 50% of information that is in the test, it is not about wording. One can get lucky and receive similar questions as per app reviews or one doesn’t get lucky and then you just do not know the facts that are being asked. ✓ Quite expensive for what it isBased on a fixed set of questions for each topic. Chapter 1 (20 qns), Chapter 2 (20 qns), Chapter 3 (137 qns), Chapter 4 (126 qns), Chapter 5 (121 qns). All study, practice, quick tests, mock tests are just combinations of these qns, sometimes rephrased. The features are well-implemented. I have been unlucky and 80% of the questions were completely different to the app. Some people say they got the same. My test was in Croydon not sure if that matters. The user interface is a bit clunky, in many cases you get a list of numbered options and then have to select an answer from another list that refers to the first list. Annoyingly, many of the questions haven’t been fact checked or are frequently under specified. ✓ The actual test is different!I spent 3 weeks studying every single question in the study area, as well as doing around 50 mock tests and going through the flash cards every day. Today was my test. 1/3 of the questions were similar to the ones in the app, another 1/3 was somehow related but required lots of logical thinking and having some actual knowledge not bluntly relying on the questions in the app and the other 1/3 was not even mentioned in the app. Non of the questions was actually the same. We studied all 424 flash cards and took numerous mock exams. We entered the exam room on Saturday feeling confident...until the actual questions appeared on the text screen. I felt ill when I realised that I barely recognised ANY of the test questions. After the test was over, the lady who gives the result said the only "official" study guide is the book. This app has a lot of information about the UK but little to do with the actual exam content. The admin need to remove the banner that says "official" from this app. It's a giant waste of time and energy if preparing for the LITUK exam not to mention a waste of money as you will likely fail the exam if this is your only reference material. ✓ Mock exams on here in comparison to the real examI sat my exam today and I got to say I completed relief on this app as I thought it was an official representation of what is in the book but to my surprise none of the “often repeated” questions in this apps mock exam appeared except for maybe one. I wish the mock exam was more diverse and random instead being the same bunch of questions almost in every mock exam. ✓ It’s ok but not amazingLet’s star with the positive part. The study card are very good to learn, you can choose the topic and they will explain you the answer regardless you get it right or wrong. I would definitely recommend these for exercise they are very useful especially when you’re not at home. What I didn’t like is the mock exam, to me is pretty much useless . Always and I say always you find the same easier common question . For example I always get the question about how the UK and Great Britain are structured and which one is a Uk crown dependency for example 4/5 times in the same test !! I done other tests found online and they are proper difficult tests (how I like it). So I would say for practicing it’s good but don’t focus on the mock exam, do a few so you get an idea of how your test would be but keep in mind is quite useless. ✓ UselessI just had the life in the Uk test today and failed. I never failed on the dozen of mock tests of the app. The questions on the mock tests are always the same and very easy compare to the actual test. So many subjects are never covered. I bought the app based on the fact that it is the official one but this was a waste of money and my husband who didn’t use it passed the test easily. IT IS INCOMPLETE It does not mislead the user or claim to be the definitive source of information, but I don’t understand why one would creat an “Official” app and create it in a way where it is incomplete. The point of a study aid is to help people. To point people to the content that they will be tested on. Why not create a complete app, that contains ALL of the information, and ALL of the possible questions. More questions than can be asked on the test would be better than not. If the goal is to make sure people learn the material thoroughly, then creat an app that effectively teaches all of the content. Instead, I had to use this app, and then unofficial apps which turned out to be far more complete. They included ALL of the content from the book. They summarised the various battles in order of date rather than the information being scattered. It is so much more useful once you’ve read the content to be able to read it on a timeline in order. Anyway. Had I just used this app I would have failed the test, and so in my opinion it is a poor aid. It doesn’t claim to be complete, but it should be. ✓ Doesn’t have most questionsI regret that I didn’t check the review before my test. I finished every single question in this app but sadly I still failed my live in uk test. Like some of the comments, this App only contain about 10 exact questions out of 24 in my test. About 5 of them are coming from tweaks of this app’s questions(you have to remember all the details under each question clearly). I guessed the rest and “Surprisingly” failed. ✓ Just because it’s official don’t mean it’s the best.Ok it’s got all the questions but when you do a mock exam the same questions keep on coming up again and again so you don’t really get to see all the questions. ✓ Not enough to pass the testI just did my Life in the UK test yesterday (and passed). I read the official book and did 70 mock exams with this app. I had an average pass rate of 90% at the end when I stopped practicing. This app is a bad indicator. I had 7 questions in the exam where I needed to guess and never had them in the mock exams of this app. I was lucky and passed but learning from my experience today, the app is nice but the exam questions were more tricky than the questions in the app and in my case 7 never appeared here.
