✓ Better than others I’ve triedI’ve tried a number of Cantonese language apps. Pimsleur is ok but very orientated towards business people visiting HK, and doesn’t even give you the characters. The others I’ve tried were frankly crap. This is the best so far, building up vocabulary and putting the user in control. But there are glitches: the facility to record yourself repeating words and listen back doesn’t allow you to record over your first attempt - and it doesn’t always work!.SmungargleVersion: 5.8.0

✓ Out of SyncThis app is supposed to record you and put you saying the word or phrase next to the voice teaching you so you can compare. It doesn’t do that though, they say the word and then they say the next word and then they let you record so you’re trying to keep it in your mind the word or phrase you need to record while they’re saying the next word throwing your concentration off then you record while they’re getting ready to go to the next word, and then you record while they’re saying the next word and you never get to hear both side by side.
