✓ List in translation...Thank you Nemo. I was doing really well & using bits of Greek to show I’m making an effort in my new hone country. However, after months of saying ‘nostimos’ to the (male) waiters after a lively meal, i have discovered that wasn’t describing the meal as delicious but the (make) waiter as delicious. ✓ Incorrect spellingI would’ve gave this a higher review, because it is convenient and makes learning fairly easy but I noticed some of the words(at-least for the Greek version) are spelled incorrect, I’m Greek and got it to touch up on my skills so it was definitely a curve when your uncle calls you out for not knowing how to spell. Kind of defeats the purpose of the app if you’re essentially learning how to spell wrong. If you payed for the full version, like me, it makes you question your purchase. ✓ Good-as far as it goesI started off with the free version which was very limited, so paid to upgrade. This got me going with learning some Greek for my first visit to the country and was a great help. I have now run out of words and the app is not great at teaching you how to string them together. ✓ Good but..I really like this app. It’s been really helpful in helping me learn. I particularly like the fact that I can create a favourites list of words to focus on and add to it as it I go. But.. I have the purchased version which provides 1408 words. That’s loads.. but for learning conversation this app could be so much better. - The tiles can show the gender of the words but it will show “m” or “f” or “n” when it could say “ο,” “η” or “το” (or their variants). This could be done without adding speech. Just replace what’s there with the correct gender preposition. - verbs are not shown in all forms and tenses. - some useful conversational words aren’t included and there’s no way to add them. I would buy add on packs if it helped me. I’m learning with a teacher now and I use this alongside. I went for a teacher as this didn’t do enough on the conversational stuff. Come on Nemo.. ✓ Audio has disappearedI’ve loved using this app for 2 years & previously gave it a 5 star review. But today the audio stopped working, and nothing I’ve tried will get it back. I paid for the full version too, so it’s very disappointing. ✓ Memo is great for landing a fairly wide vocabulary of about 1400 words.You can do a lot with this app before you start paying. The good thing about that is you can judge your own level of commitment before you commit your wallet. Do 40 minutes a day for two weeks and chances are the habit is strong enough to keep you going.
