✓ Good howeverAfter the recent update, the sound is no longer working while continuously recording. Doesn't matter how strong of the connection is, there is just no sound. ✓ Disappointing!This app used to work well using an iPhone 5s as the primary camera, however, nowadays it’s badly broken and seems to get worse with each update. The app does not record anything moving when it should be, and always shows it stuck “still mode” when the app is set on “live recording”. Multiple reboots, reinstalls and updates did not resolve the issues. If you’re looking for an app to use for security, motion or capturing something important look elsewhere! This app won’t record anything except for one frame of video and the sound - making it essentially worthless..Version: 5.4.2
✓ Initially good, then buggy (paid for version)Got the free version just to keep an eye on the bad weather from work, but it was really good. Had it for a couple of weeks any everything was perfect. Loved being able to keep an eye on things from wherever I was so decided to pay for 2 days recording and pay for a second camera, but then the bugs came. Both cameras suddenly disconnect for no apparent reason. I’ve tried just leaving them but they do not reconnect unless I go to them and turn the WiFi off and on again. This is on two different types of devices and they do not go down at the same time. Then I end up losing the footage during the outage, some of it comes through but not all of it. This happens every two or three days. I don’t always get a notification either when they go down (sometimes I do). I only find it when I go onto the app. The motion sensitivity is also not accurate at random times something which triggered the camera at one time, won’t trigger it another time. I’ve missed some events which I really wanted to watch back. I don’t recommend this as a proper security solution as it needs to be consistent and stable..Version: 5.5.1
✓ Decent but better options existThere are A TON of options for cloud security cameras these days. I do like the ease of using an extra iphone for this, but the problem is You must be logged into icloud as a result and so my phone constantly has issue where it wants to update or notify some system thing which causes problems for the camera recording consistently. i have to routinely check the display and close all the modal alerts out or the phone overheats with the display on full bright which it automatically does. I know the app doesn’t really have any say in this, but it’s a downside of using only an Idevice.Version: 5.7.2

✓ IPad as camera stopped workingSeveral friends and I tried to use our iPads as the camera and view the live streaming on our phones, but the live viewing wasn’t working/connecting. We finally switched it where we had our iphones act as the camera and watched the live viewing using the iPad. ✓ I cant find how to unsubscribeFirst, I downloaded the app and I didn’t have the 5 days trial. So, I registered for 1 month of use to see if it fits to my needs. ✓ Recording works half the timeI experimented with the motion detection, but it wasn't sensitive enough for my needs. It could be because the location was a little too dark. I used the continuous recording option, but would check to see that it missed 3-4 hours and sometimes 10 minute gaps in between recordings. Super inconsistent and very annoying. ✓ Good when it worksUsing my old IPhone setup as the camera, the app works really well. Like being able to setup motion detection zones, camera quality audio quality and connection are all really good. However. The camera goes offline, a lot. I’ve looked at the FAQs, stopped the phone auto locking, and done everything I can think of, but it still goes offline every day. When I’m out of the house, I can’t do anything about it. ✓ One big issueI downloaded this last night. Everything seemed good. However, this morning I tested it out and found a rather big bug/issue. I am recording on an iPod Touch 5 (ios8), and playing back (viewing) on an iPhone 6. I had a series of 7 alerts (video clips recorded), but when I came to view them on my iPhone 6 only 5 out of the 7 played. Two of them 'appeared' to play (time stamp went up, red progress bar went along), however the video does not actually play. It just appeared to be playing a 'still' of the thumbnail, no sound either. ✓ Great app but seems to drop Wi-fi connection relatively regularlyTerrific app but at the mo I’m getting both my iPhones dropping off the Wi-fi when in the Manything app. If they’re not in that app they remain permanently connected to Wi-fi as you’d expect, but when in the app I’m getting both devices knocked off wifi at the same time for some reason. ✓ Could be a great appI started using the app for free and was really impressed with the clarity of the image capture so I decided to subscribe to the app. Over the weeks the data images have been very poor to the point where the video keeps pixelating. I have tried re-setting my WiFi and uploading the app again but still the video images are poor. ✓ Forget it unless you are prepared to restart it every dayI'm sad to have to write this review as I took out a subscription for this in May this year and it worked perfectly until recently. After that it just goes offline every day. I used it to remotely monitor activity in an extension but live 10 miles away while its being built. When it works its an excellent piece of software, turning an old iphone 6s into a security camera with detection zones etc. that can be set remotely. But now, you have to kill the app and restart it every day so have cancelled the subscription and now looking at proper camera solutions. Such a shame the developers don't give this any attention since it could really be the best piece of software of its kind if it didn't constantly go offline. When you look at the screen it seems to be still working in that the app us still running but, its as if the connection as stopped working. Judging by the similar negative reviews here the problem can't be the phone or the connection so must be something in the last update..Version: 10.9.2

✓ Has potentialThis app really has potential. I wanted to turn my old iPhone into a portable vehicle trailer “backup camera”. I can turn on personal hotspot to connect the old iPhone to the network. And while it does work, everything it backwards. The app needs an option to “reverse” or “mirror” the image. I’d easily pay $15 for such an app..Version: 5.7.0
✓ Loses Wi-FiSadly I’ve just cancelled my subscription after 2 years. In the (recommended) guided access mode, every time there is an iOS update the app loses Wi-Fi connection, even though auto update is switched off. And updates always seem to happen when I’m away from home, so I can’t monitor the house. Manything are aware but can’t do anything to fix it, it’s an IOS issue. ✓ Free plan is pretty uselessI was initially very impressed with this app but after the 1st free month, you get automatically downgraded to the free version. (1 camera, up to 4 hours cloud storage). Not a problem I thought. I only want to use 1 camera and it will presumably keep all the motion events as part of the 4 hours. Well no. It doesn't. If the motion events were more than 4 hours before the end of the recording, you have to upgrade to see them. Obviously, Manything want as many people as possible to pay to upgrade but an option to save the motion events would massively improve the free version.Version: 3.4.1

✓ Terrible price and featuresI have been using this app often on for probably seven years now. As time has gone on, the pricing model has become more and more funky. It’s really hard to know what they’re thinking about here. The price for even a couple of devices is completely outrageous. They need to make this much cheaper and invest in coming up with some new features or a new interface for the app. This app has not changed in any major way in the last seven years. They force on you something you didn’t sign up for and do not want in the name of greed. If you are seeing this app now, for the first time, you won’t be aware of what was actually promised to users in the past. If you agree to pay the exorbitant prices because you have not found the excellent competing apps like Presence, then give this app a try and simply cancel the subscription when you come to your senses. Have you discovered that Apple and developers are colluding by making cancellation difficult through buried or obscure “Cancel” button placement and lack of prominent or even accessible instruction? ✓ Did not detect motionPurchased the subscription for home monitoring but wanted to use it for monitoring my indoor garden. I will start to say that the app did not perform its function and has inconsistent motion detection. I have a 4 year old night shade that was going to bloom for its first time so I pointed the camera in its direction. If you know night shades only bloom once very briefly and then wilt. The camera did not detect and motion of the flower despite being 14 inches from the plant, however in the distance of the window the camera went off once to detect a person. I had the camera up for 3 days to catch the event. So not only did it not detect the flower, but in all that time it only caught one person walking down a relatively busy city street. So it’s not even reliable for what it is designed to do which is home monitoring. I cannot recommend this product..Version: 10.9.2
✓ Bad to worseUPDATE: on iOS 11.0 App has deteriorated even further with release of iOS 11.0. Clips often turn to black now in addition to even worse levels of jerkiness as described below. App is virtually unusable now. What an utter waste of time. Reducing to 1 star and cancelled subscription. _____ ORIGINAL: on 10.3.3 Latest version of the app is EXTREMELY jerky when scrubbing through clips. This occurs on both iPhone 7 and iPad Air 2, both on 10.3.3, even after deleting and reinstalling the app. Prior to this update, when scrubbing through a clip the app was always silky smooth. But now scrubbing through a clip constantly results in random jerkiness and hang-ups, inevitably causing inadvertent skips to the next or previous clip as the app hangs and your gesture turns into a swipe. Once or twice of this nonsense is ok, but when you're reviewing hundreds of clips and this is repeated hundreds of times, it quickly becomes a frustrating and colossal waste of time. Another needed change is clear functional distinctions in the ui between scrubbing and swiping. Far too often (especially in this latest version as described) it is way too easy to turn a scrub into a swipe. This is poor design resulting in unacceptable performance. I will not renew my subscription and start looking for alternatives if the jerkiness is not fixed. If fixed, I'll stick around as well as change my rating..Version: 5.1.0

✓ Bad App and Bad ServiceI downloaded this app, expecting to be able to use it when the screen of my iPad was not on. After downloading it i was led to believe that i needed to purchase a subscription for this to work. So I did. (Feeling very stupid now) Anyway, long story short it did not work as expected. I then emailed straight away making a complaint and requesting a refund. I heard nothing back. I cancelled the subscription but they still took the money from my account. I have since been all through the apple website, App Store and their enquiry section and have found no way of contacting the developers to discuss this or get a refund. ✓ Not WorkingRight up front it asks for access to all my files. I selected NO. I did give access to camera and microphone. I set up my camera on the Monitor/camera phone and then tried to set up the control phone. It said the account did not match anything. So, I tried to log in under Set Up New account. It said the account information already exists. 🤷🏼♀️The camera is on and monitoring. I hope some creep is not watching what I do! ✓ Swing and a missAmazingly, this appears to be the only app on the entire iOS platform that allows you to trigger Video recording with sound… I was looking for something to document noisy neighbors that I could leave running and would only record the loud noises. Well, that part of it worked perfectly. And then I tried to listen to what I recorded. You have to have a subscription to even listen to video where you record it on your own phone. They do not allow you to store it locally, you MUST upload it to their server, so they’re justified in charging you a subscription, which you then must cancel when you decide you don’t want it, you can’t just buy a fixed number of days. Therefore this app costs close to $100 a year to use. I would happily pay a couple bucks, even more than a couple bucks, as a one time payment, to be able to record video triggered by noise and document my noisy neighbors. But there’s no reason for me to have to sign up for an account and upload my private video to the cloud, let alone pay a recurring subscription charge over and over again, for something that I just need to be able to play back on my phone. That’s absurd and greedy, and makes this almost-useful app completely useless to me..Version: 8.0.3
✓ Non existent support, TS on my ownGreat when it works! It would be great if someone could actually tell me what TS steps I should try vs using my TS experience to isolate the issue on my own. ✓ 5.3 update bad on old phonesBeen using for several years and my old iPhone 4 as the camera. 5.3 update does not show up on my iPhone 4. Updated my iPhone 6 with no issues. Now since the update the iPhone 4 will record just fine. But there is no lube connection when viewing on my 6. Need a update for the 4 please. If it's not coming then the app will be useless to me. ✓ Pros and ConsThe user interface is easy to use and navigate. The app is excellent at picking up motion and recording clips. There are however issues that I encountered both software and hardware issues. One drawback is the phone needs to stay on at all times with the screen illuminated. I found with my old spare iphone4 it would get hot and then the battery would drain despite being plugged in. While this may not be a app issue, it would be fair to say many users use old phones with this app. I would constantly get emails that phone lost wifi signal or battery draining. My wifi signal is constant and does not cut out. It was frustrating when I left for vacation and a few days in the recording stops for various reasons. I have since bought a webcam with cloud backup and found it to much more reliable..Version: 5.3.0

Sometimes I don’t have any cameras setup but I keep paying the subscription so that a company that I like survives. I’ve left my home unattended and my camera went offline but I did not receive any push notification on my phone. That’s fine because I got an email. However, I tried to look at the cloud recorded videos but couldn’t see anything that my camera saw before it went offline. I’ve emailed support yesterday but they haven’t responded. Now I’m left with no information about whats going on at home while I’m traveling abroad. I will never use manything again and take back all the recommendations I made to my friends. I hope you guys struggle real hard as I’m struggling right now..Version: 5.7.2
✓ IOS 13.4🚫UPDATE 6/1/20 - The app does not work for me at all. There is no live video at all. There are recordings in my feed but no live video. The recordings are capturing intermittent 8 - 9 second videos even though I have it set to continuously record. I have contacted the app support several times and have received no response. I have been a subscriber of manything for two years and now I am discontinuing my subscription and uninstalling the app. It's useless at this point and they aren't helping. The app no longer works for me since my phone has been updated. The videos frequently go black. There is much lag and sometimes it gets jerky and speeds up. I also have 9s videos even though I have continuous recording set. There was an issue in front of my home I needed on camera and ask the thing caught was 8s of action even though 4 people were in front of the camera moving. Right now on iPhone 11 I cannot contact my other camera to see live footage. It continuously says contacting camera, although the video is still actively recording actions. I cannot see live footage at all. I emailed support and so far have not heard anything in the past four days. It's pointless to have a subscription with no support and unusable video.Version: 8.0.3

✓ Great idea, but terrible outcome.This app is a great idea. Turning any old phone or tablet into a ho e security camera. Very nice idea. This app does have a few problems though. 1. This app kinda lied about the supported devices. For instance, I wanted to use my very nice iPhone 3GS as a home security camera and it was running iOS 6.1 and it should be supported with this app. Turns out, it’s not. In the app description it says that you can use any device with iOS 6 or later but when trying to download the app, a notification said that I needed iOS 8. Very disappointing. 2. Payment. At first I thought this was the greatest thing ever. I thought the app was free or you would make a one time payment when you buy the app. But I was wrong. You actually need to pay for how many days you want to use this app. (Sort of like a phone bill) it’s very annoying. So that’s why this app deserves a 2 Star Review.
