Superimpose V - Video Editor for Positive User Reviews

An amazing developer and app, but with bugsAbsolutely love Superimpose X, and am stoked about this addition. Though I constantly run into issues of video display disappearing while editing (only resolved by adding a new video on top layer or closing out and reopening) as well as video sound all of a sudden stops playing. I know this app is still new, so I don’t doubt these bugs will be fixed in due time. But at the moment it does prolong editing time having to work around it. Overall a great layout and very easy to use while allowing some additional features and transitions compared to many other video editor apps i’ve come across over the years!.Version: 1.2.7

Can’t export videosEvery time I click export it doesn’t export. Why am I giving this a 5-star? Because this app is good but the most important feature is broken. So I am giving this a 5-star so people can see it..Version: 1.2.3

Progressively getting betterI find myself coming back to this app more and more. The ease of use is really what does it for me!.Version: 1.5

Excellent Video Editing appI’ve been a HUGE fan of SuperimposeX for about 5 years, and was excited to see Pankaj come out with a powerful Video Editor. The first thing I urge you to do is review the dozen video tutorials that are available one you tap the small green hot air balloon icon on the top left. You realize it has many unique features (Flame text, anyone!!!) and is extremely powerful too! I love that it can automask people not only in your videos but even in stickers from Giphy. It is so convenient to have integration with Pixabay for sound effects and royalty free music! It reads SuperimposeX mask libraries, and the interface is very intuitive if you’ve used other video editors like Videoleap. HIGHLY recommend! ❤️.Version: 1.0

Great!Feature Request: I’d like to have file explorer integration. This way, similar to other apps, I could put an audio file into my superimposeV library from file explorer, allowing batch audio importing. Review: I’ve used superimpose X for a while, and although this doesn’t have as many features, it’s getting more as updates come out. Looking forward to watching the app grow! P.S. I’ve noticed that importing audio via the share sheet will import a 00:00:00 length audio file..Version: 1.4.0

Easy to useMakes editing easy and quick. I’m very impressed with this app..Version: 1.3.3

More instructions would help…Took me a while to figure out how to access audio files, for example….Version: 1.0.1

Best video editor on the iPhoneI love this app!! It is intuitive and has a lot of features In the clean, simple and easy to use interface. Recommend highly.Version: 1.2.7

Awesome- been waiting for this is tech in an app ! Only feature it needs is a ‘skew perspective’ so to alter the crop even further particularly when overlaying videos.Version: 1.0.2

BeautifulAmazing app works so well.Version: 1.4.0

Extremely solid (especially for a free app.)This app is not even close to being perfect. It has loads of issues. But since this app is so new (I’m literally the first person to ever leave a written review and the second person to leave a review at all.) in a few months, or even years, I think this app can be great. Positives: Better than iMovie (you see this instantly but it’s not a huge milestone.) Free No subscriptions No ads No data tracking (like idk how this app makes money.) Pretty easy to use. Literally anyone could work out how to use this app. All the essential features are down well. Nice transitions The way layers are handled are very nice. Your usual, great, SuperimposeX type colour correction. Very good slomo and Timelapse (up to the speed supported) you can use a graph to adjust the speed at different times without needing to split. And can gradually speed or slow down video. Easy to select multiple videos Negatives: Slomo only supports 1/8 speed. Timelapse only supports 8x speed - would love to see this cap potentially just be removing completely. Seemingly, just strange, button placement. Such as when there are two buttons when you first go into the project - just doesn’t make sense. Most things even slightly intensive you’ll need to wait quite a bit of time for (on an iPhone 13 Pro it took about 15 seconds to reverse a 1:34 1080p 30fps video. Optimisation would be great) also the progress bar when this is being calculated is very intrusive and stops you from doing anything else. In conclusion this app is great. I didn’t even scratch the surface in this review. Can’t wait to use it after a few months of solid updates. I have no idea how this is free. Best free editing app (doesn’t have ads or subscription so idk how this makes money. Doesn’t even track your data.).Version: 1.0.1

Why try anything else?Well because that what keeps people making better and better apps like this one. Let everybody else take care of that. As type need not look any further! I may sound like I am to impressed with this app not to be affiliated with them. That is probably what I would think. I am not affiliated with anyone , having to with any part of this app. This is a just great app to go with. A great common sense approach to video editing, which is the same for their picture apps. That being said, do understand, any app that is anything close to being a good video editing app, you are going to need to watch a tutorial on. This has them in the app. If you do not take the time to watch the tutorial, you may get flustered and go one that may be so basic you need no tutorial. But your work will not be anywhere near what it could have been, had you patience and taken some instruction. Be teachable, nobody knows everything. This was a reminder to myself more than anyone..Version: 1.1.0

Great potential!I love the functionality and lightweight performance of this video editor. However, there are some tools I would like added. A 'Audio Panning' effect with key frame support would be fantastic. Being able to change the audio channels would be nice too. However, there are some bugs right now. The one that is extremely annoying is that every audio effect, fade in/out or any of the ones in the effects menu make the audio play on only one channel instead of both. It's more noticeable with headphones/earbuds. I'm not too good at explaining things like this, but I hope that if the developer sees this, they can look into this and hopefully find out what I'm talking about. Regardless, this has great potential and I'm looking forward to the future for this video editor. 4/5..Version: 1.2.0

Great, but a few bugsThis app is pretty amazing, but it doesn't support slomo videos! It just crashes whenever I try to import a slomo video..Version: 1.3.3

Best video editing app for cheapI absolutely love it and shoot all my videos with it.Version: 1.5

“Go Superimpose”Based on what I reviewed so far, this app will rock. There are so many video editing apps in the market, but this one Has the visual effects that we are expecting from the Superimpose team, especially the video masking and the ability to animate. I would strongly suggest to make this app more for video effects than just an editing app. Hope I see more update in the future like title animation and speed ramp. Again, thank you Superimpose for another great app!.Version: 1.0

Great appMusic nor sound effects play when I add to a clip. Plz help..Version: 1.5.2

Superimpose just changed the game againI’ve been a huge fan of Superimpose. It set the standard for superimposing photos. Then Superimpose X came out and made editing layers even easier. I still use it weekly. I just tried Superimpose V and it was just as amazing and easy to use as its predecessors, only for video. I love the ability to cut people out of videos! Thank you so much! Your apps never disappoint!!.Version: 1.0

AwesomeI just started with the video part. I’ve been using the camera part or image, part forever and love it it’s complicated and I’m self taught and I was actually putting off the video part because it just seemed intense, but I needed a project done that then my other video gave me capability of so I tried it. It was relatively simple for what I needed, and it was amazing how quick and easy I was able to figure it out. 50 stars for this product..Version: 1.5.4

Best video editor on iPhone. But…I have yet to come across a scenario that there isn’t a tool for in this video editor. It seems entirely comprehensive. Also the user interface is very well designed and uncluttered. Editing is easy and effortless. The only problem I have encountered is a bug, where in the project view the three dots disappear on each project, which prevents me from deleting projects once finished and therefore taking up more and more storage space on my phone. The workaround I’ve devised is to simply delete and reinstall the app which clears the projects. Unfortunately it clears projects I would have liked to keep. Hence the four instead of five stars the app would truly deserve..Version: 1.6.7

Extremely goodThe developers’ previous app, superimpose x is the best image editor on iOS. This new app has potential to be the best video app on iOS. It is the first serious competitor to Luma Fusion, and surpasses it in many ways. First and most obvious: easing functions. Finally effects and movement don’t have to look like they were made in Mario paint. Next the selection of effects is far superior. The timeline is more natural and it is much like quirky. Stock video integration is really nice and free I guess? If this is anything like their previous apps they will continue to refine and perfect it. The only con so far is stability, but I have a feeling they are just getting started. And of course this is a premium app, unlike most video editors. A labor of love..Version: 1.2.3

Amazing editing with few bugsIt is extremely easy to work with, and for being free, is just insane..Version: 1.2.7

PERFECTION!!! But…This app is EVERYTHING I wish iMovie was! And then some!! My ONLY problem is that the app starts to get REALLY slow and glitchy until it crashes after a few minutes of editing my videos on my iPhone 13 Max Pro. I restarted my phone and closed all other apps but I still get the glitches when I’m scrolling through the video and then the app crashes. I hope future updates can fix this problem. This app is everything I need in a video editing app! Can I send or view crash reports?.Version: 1.1.1

Great App!I’ve been a Superimpose user for years now. Besides the apps being exceptional, the Dev frequently updates with bug fixes, and best of all, new features. While I’m still learning my way around this app, it’s apparent it will be another great app without exception. Thank you!!.Version: 1.3.0

Insane. Absolutely insane. How is this free again? I spent $25 on LumaFusion, and yes, that app is insane. But holy crap, holy crap, this is right there. Price wise, this app should be like $22-23. And LumaFusion doesn’t have tracking, auto masking, free royalties, speed editor, the list goes on. How is this free???? 30/10. I feel bad ripping the developer off- make it cost something so I can pay it and my conscience can let me off the hook 😂.Version: 1.3.3

Best in its classI’ve used this developer’s photo editing software for years. Superimpose X is one of my main photo editors. I expected the video editor to be good, but I honestly didn’t expect it to be as good as it is. I can now do things on my iPad that I have always had to do on my PC..Version: 1.2.7

Amazing App But..Amazing app with a great sum of options and customization, keyframes are especially key and the preset curves are addition, but the ability to have the user add and create their own presets is essentially and a missing core feature..Version: 1.3.2

Good start, capable and quick updatesI was one of the users of Superimpose X that requested video capabilities. I’m happy to see Superimpose V introduced. The recent update with LUT usage capability is great. I did some test projects and I am pleased with what you can accomplish combining videos and photos. Integration with Superimpose X is a definite plus. This developer is adding new capabilities at a rapid pace. Hopefully as time goes on, functions such as tracking and a stabilizer can be added to the product capabilities. I will send feature request to the developer as time progresses. Question: what are the total number of tracks supported in a Superimpose V project? Are there specific number of tracks assigned to specific functions like video, audio, effects etc… or you can use any combination you want? Thanks and keep up the good work.Version: 1.1.0

Good appGreat app for video producing and editing.Version: 1.1.1

😱Sooooo tasty..Version: 1.2.8

Outstanding Video AppI use this app to build content for my socials and podcasts... it has replaced several apps that require merging audio, voice overs and videos into one., the video and transition effects are a nice bonus....Version: 1.4.0

Great Stuff!Been using Superimpose for awhile now. Glad to know they have a video version as well. Extremely intuitive and helps me create short movies (and memes) fast!.Version: 1.6.3

Best app everIve never written a review for an app. But this app deserve 10 stars. Very easy to use if you have any prior editing experience..Version: 1.2.4

A Brilliant Addition to Superimpose X!!!This is a gorgeous piece of software. This completely rivals better known mobile VFX video editing apps. I have been using Superimpose X for several years now. It has been my GOTO ever since I first discovered it. When they came out with Superimpose V, needless to say, I was elated. I could not try it out fast enough. It did not disappoint. It is intuitive and powerful. It is loaded with effects and transitions. Keyframe animation is flawless. There are multiple layers/tracks for creating beautiful professional videos. Best pricing in the App Store! Thank you to the Superimpose team for your hard work on creating the very best photo, VFX, and video editing suite in mobile devices..Version: 1.4.0

Best video editing app I’ve used! This is by far the best video editing app I’ve used, Bravo to the developers! I wish there were more quality free apps like this bc it’s top notch.Version: 1.2.3

Outstanding EditorThis video editor is FANTASTIC. This app will have many professional video ediing apps looking over their shoulders. it’s right up there with the best of them, maybe even better. It has the features you expect from a pricey professional video editing app. After a quick run through the informative tutorials I made my fist video with ease. It will most likely become my go to video editor..Version: 1.0

I love this app. Immensely powerful and intuitiveBellow the surface this app is easy for 8 year olds to do motion tracking chroma keying and keyframing. This truely does have features that pro apps struggled to do 10 years ago without a lot of cpu ram and knowledge. My biggest fear is that they will do with this like all the other great software and throw it behind a subscription paywall. Hopefully not. This is a amazing educational tool and something that can be expanded on in the future..Version: 1.3.0

Please try it!This is one of the best video editor apps I have used and they keep making it better!.Version: 1.5.4

Amazing! This app is unbelievable! You can do ANYTHING with this app! Every issue the developer quickly resolved if it can be. The app CAPCUT is trying to make its mark. I like it too but prefer this one. However, there are a few functions on CAPCUT that I wish were available here. Hopefully the developer will implement them. I would rather us this one because I love the way it operates and the fact that it works in conjunction with SuperimposeX. The one issue I found recently has been emailed to the developer. I hope I get a response soon. Thank you SuperimposeV!.Version: 1.3.3

I’m impressed!Probably will take the number one spot for me right now. Pretty feature rich application, and so far no issues..Version: 1.0.2

Incredibly Powerful Editor!I’ve been a Superimpose user since long before “X” was released, and have always used it as my main photo editor. Now I may begin using Superimpose V as my main video editor as well, because of its powerful key framing abilities and stunning effects! The only thing it’s missing is the ability to access and use media from the Files app, which I hope will be implemented in the near future!.Version: 1.0

Ripple delete???Does this app have ripple delete or at least a way to lock clips together on the timeline? Surely it must but I can’t seem to find it!.Version: 1.1.0

Wildly powerful, generous amount of features, easy to useI’ve been able to make some excellent video art using Superimpose V. This is app is a straight-up professional level editing tool and regularly updated. It runs like a dream..Version: 1.6.1

Awesomeness at it's finestSuperb program really enjoy playing around with all the them super features. Thank you Dev's for your hard work in creating such a wonderful program. Great job..!.Version: 1.5.2

What an amazing fully functional video editorThis provides so many options in an easy to use UI. Easy to learn and comes with many tutorials to help you out. This was a Gem I found on the AppStore..Version: 1.3.3

Great appI hope they keep improving. Not sure what the future is. Are they waiting to see how popular it is then start charging monthly, yearly etc. Or waiting for a buy out. For now I’m liking it.Version: 1.4.0

Masking without a green screen !!!!I have been using Superimpose X since you released it. The “person” mask extraction has always been your best feature. Superimpose V takes this to the next level. The masking and tracking of the “person mask” is incredible. No need for a green screen. However, is there a way to remove unwanted artifacts from this layer, or anyway to add and subtract pixels? Basically clean up the edges. ? Great job so far with this one..Version: 1.0.2

Absolutely 👍 love itWish you could group or parent layers and elements, but it a marvelous new app the gets constant updates, I believe this will be added real soon😊.Version: 1.2.6

Other apps could learn a thing or two from this.Works great!.Version: 1.3.3

Excellent AppEasy to use. Powerful merging multiple videos and fast rendering..Version: 1.3.3

SuperImpose VEverything is extremely good it’s just anytime when I have green screen graphic I want to cut out, it just ends up cutting the whole thing and nothing shows..Version: 1.0.3

ExcellentI use LumaFusion for my serious video work but always keep an eye open to what’s out there. This is an excellent piece of kit. Easy to use whilst allowing you to create some very professional looking videos. It’s well thought out with easy access to royalty free media. With some fantastic FX and video looks it does a lot of the work for you without stopping you being in control. I’ve used every video app out there and if you are not wanting to get to grips with LumaFusion’s complexity this beats all the others hands down..Version: 1.0.3

Fantastic!!This does all the heavy lifting when comes to compositing needs on the iPhone. The biggest extra is no subscription required. Summed with the video/compositing app and your set..Version: 1.6.0

Superimpose V Continues to ImproveI’ve been using SuperimposeX for years. Superimpose V has replaced multiple other paid and subscription video editing apps. It’s mind-boggling this app is offered at such a low price. The integration of the two applications is fantastic and no other programs I’ve seen offer such a tightly integrated powerful editing Suite. I’ve run into a few small bugs that are usually corrected within days. This app developer deserves high praise for such a amazing pair of applications..Version: 1.6.3

Great new video editing appIt’s great to finally have a video editing app that integrates with SuperimposeX. Easy to use and bring your video clips to life. Still discovering all the tools with some helpful tutorial available through the app to get you started..Version: 1.0.2

I’m not a sophisticated user but this seems greatAs the title says, I’m basically a video editing noob but after spending about 10 minutes with the app I am able to do basic stuff with my videos such as cutting bits out, stitching bits together etc. Amazing that this is free!.Version: 1.0.1

Amazing and funAn easy to use and sophisticated app which is lots of fun to use and make creative, slick movies. It’s my favourite app on the planet. Great work, fellas.Version: 1.5

Great App ButCould use more video effects 😌 Great App Other Then That 😁.Version: 1.0.1
